In this message on faith and the power of Jesus' blood, the third in a series called "The Switch of Faith," the teaching opens with the healing of the woman bent double for eighteen years, freed by Jesus even without a recorded act of her own faith. From there the focus shifts to redemption through the blood of Christ: how it wipes out sin's record, frees believers from guilt and shame, and gives access to healing, provision, and protection through a better covenant. Drawing on Colossians, Hebrews, and Revelation 12, the message unpacks what it means to "hold the blood" and plead it like a legal case against sickness, fear, and bondage.

Worship, Scripture, And Opening Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Pick up our Bibles, lift them up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad. Thank you, worship team. That was so beautiful. Thank God for the anointing here today. Let's say this together. Say, Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be in your presence with people of like precious faith. Lord, if one will put a thousand to flight, two will put ten thousand to flight. And oh, we got a whole lot more than two here today. The devil's in trouble. We put him under our feet and we exalt you, Father. We magnify you. We call you great. Jesus is great. And the greater one lives on the inside of us, individually and corporately, and his presence is putting us over. In Jesus' name. Amen. You can be seated. Praise God. Let's turn in our Bibles, please. I'm going to read out of Luke, the 13th chapter. And then also, while you're finding places, find Revelation chapter 12. We'll start with Luke 13 and verse 11. And behold, look ye here now. As my father would say. And was bowed together and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day. And said unto the people, There are six days in which thou ought to work men ought to work. In them, therefore, come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day. And the Lord then answered him and said, Oh, brother, please. No. He said, You hypocrite. And he called him out. You hypocrite. Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed. And all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. Praise God. And then Revelation chapter 12. In verse 11. And John is writing, uh, you know, under inspiration. And he said in verse 11, and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of their testimony, and they love not their lives unto the death.

The Switch Of Faith Explained

SPEAKER_00

And so I want to continue this message. This will be the last one of the switch of faith. This is the third message on this subject. You know, we've been, you know, we've been talking about the switch of faith. Faith is a switch that turns on the power of God. Everybody say that. Faith is a switch that turns on God's power. I mean, God's power is available all the time. It's already sitting there waiting for you to do something. What? You've got to turn on the switch. And so uh over the last couple of weeks, we've uh examined in light of the word how to turn on the switch of faith. You know, what what needs to change in your life? Where does the switch of faith need to get turned on to change those things that need to be changed? I mean, is there sickness? Is there is there uh financial trouble? Is there trouble in your marriage, trouble in your home, trouble with your children, trouble on the job, trouble in your career, whatever, whatever the trouble is, Jesus said in the world, you shall have trouble. But be of good courage. I've overcome the world. In other words, you can overcome him too. We've given been given this wonderful word. We've been given the Spirit of God to live. The greater one lives on the inside. He's not just hitchhiking, he's not just standing by watching us go down in flames. No, he's there to put us over. And so we need to learn from the scriptures how to turn on the switch. So we found out about the woman with the issue of blood. Twelve years she'd had that condition, hemorrhaging, no doubt was anemic. But she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his clothes. For she said within herself, if I can just touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole. So when she did all that, she we gave you four things that she did. If anybody anywhere, Jesus told Brother Hagin one time, if anybody anywhere does the, puts these four uh principles to work, uh, or have these four steps that they take, they will always receive anything that they need or want from me or from my Heavenly Father. Amen. So what did she do? She said it, you know, she received it, and uh, you know, she acted, she went, and she told it, she testified. And so, uh, and then last week we talked about uh the man with a palsy who had the four crazy friends. Thank God. I mean, everybody needs at least four crazy friends. Turn to your neighbor and say, Well, you'll you'll do. I mean, you know, Gladys, you know, we used to call her Sister Crazy Faith. I mean, she'd come up with things. I mean, I'd say, How did you come up with that? I don't know if I could even agree with that. That's way out there, way beyond what I'm able to believe. You know, she put time on God. She said, by this time next week, this is gonna happen or that's gonna happen. And I mean, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hold on. Hold the phone. Sister Crazy Faith at work again. So uh, you know, there's no need to make a pilgrimage, there's no need to go to a uh be part of a movement or a you know, or a meeting or a man. I'm telling you, we've got the Holy Ghost on the inside, we've got the Word of God. All we need to do is flip on the switch. Amen.

Healing And Deliverance Through Covenant

SPEAKER_00

And watch God's power change our circumstances. So today, you know, we we in the Bible in the four gospels, 12 out of the 19 cases where uh a person is healed, a healing miracle, a deliverance miracle, uh, 12 out of the 19 mention the faith of the person receiving the healing. So we've talked about two of those. This one today does not mention the faith of the woman who was bowed over at the waist. And uh it doesn't mention that she had faith, she's just standing there, and Jesus initiated the healing. He initiated it. And so, well, you understood where where's the switch of faith? Well, we're about to talk about it because Jesus gives us the hint of one of the things that we need to have faith in. Turn on the switch of faith, and we'll get more into what is that switch. And uh and so this woman, uh, you know, 18 years, see, that doesn't matter how long. I mean, you turn the switch of faith on, it works. I mean, it doesn't matter how long the light's been out, doesn't it matter how how long the circumstances existed, if you'll just simply uh take a hold of the word of God and turn on the switch of faith, power will flow. And so uh uh so he mentioned about this woman. She said, number one, she was bound. Number two, Satan had bound her. That came as news to a lot of people in that day. It comes to as news to a lot of people in this day. I mean, you'd be surprised how many people think God put the sickness on them. How God is teaching them a lesson, how God has done this tragedy. Well, I had a car wreck, God sent me a car wreck to teach me a lesson. No, he didn't. I mean, you gotta let's get you know the adversary and God uh straight about who does what. No, God is a good God, he's a great God, and he doesn't do he doesn't do bad things to people. And so uh she was bound, Satan had bound her. Number three, she ought to be loosed, and number four, why should she be loose? Because she had a covenant. She's a daughter of Abraham. She had access to healing through her covenant. And these numbskull priests, good for nothing. All they could do is eat and feed, you know, get fat and make their garments bigger. Now, I need a new robe, uh, Mildred. I'm I'm sticking way out here. I mean, you know, just uh come on, you come on, I say, you come, there's six days you can be healed. Well, she's been around 18 years. You haven't lifted your finger to lift this burden off of her. You hadn't lifted your finger to get her delivered. Oh, Jesus, it reminds me of the three stooges, you know, and Mo and Larry and Curly, you know, stick the finger in their eyes. Ah, you know. He's always sticking his finger in the eye of the religious crowd. And so uh so her covenant, ratified by what? By the blood of bulls and goats, gave her access to healing. And yet 18 years she was bound. And Jesus told her she was loosed. Woman, thou art loose. Well, was she when he said that? Well, no, she still bent over. He called her to him, so you can imagine her walking over there like this. You know. I mean, how do you walk? I mean, you can't see anything except your feet. And she came toward him and said, Woman, thou art loose. And when she got close enough, he laid his hands on her and boom, she was instantly straightened up. Bound by what? A spirit of infirmity. You know, sometimes to get healed, you've got to get delivered. Sometimes people have a demonic power that's holding an infirmity, holding a sickness, a symptom on them. And unless that is broken, unless that is cast out, then healing really can't come. I mean, I I can't count the times, you know, that I've started to lay hands on people and and I've had an inward witness, a catch, and I realize, no, I've got to deal with a I've got to deal with a demonic power first. And uh somebody said, well, oh, I I don't I I I I don't have that gift. Yes, you do. Every believer can cast out devils. And I don't mean puking in a bag, I mean just taking authority over this over Satan. So, how much more then do we have access to our better covenant? See, Hebrews 8 6 says we have a better covenant founded upon better promises. So if she had access to healing and she got her healing and her deliverance, how much more do we have access to our healing, to our deliverance, to our whatever it is we have need of, to our to our provision, to our protection. Boy, we need protection right now. There's a whole bunch of people in this country that want us dead. So it's good to know that you've got angels right beside you all the time. You know, my my you know, every every child comes into the world, they got an angel assigned to them, and that angel doesn't leave just because you grow up. I mean, you know, you still got, and if you're not using yours, you can give me your angel if you're not using it. I need all the help I can get all the time. But they're a ministering spirit sent forth to minister on behalf of those who are heirs of salvation.

Faith In The Blood Of Jesus

SPEAKER_00

So uh let's look at Colossians, and uh the everybody say the blood of Jesus. See, we're gonna talk about the blood of Jesus today because if you, you know, like what Brother Hagin used to say about faith, you know, he God sent him to teach my faith, he said, go teach my people faith. And you know, there's different kinds of faith. You need to have faith in God, you need to have faith in God's Word, God's Word and God Himself are one. You need to have faith in Jesus. You have to have faith in the name of Jesus, faith in the blood of Jesus. See? I mean, you know, you can have faith in certain areas and not know anything about the blood and leave that out, and uh, you know, you'll you'll go wanting. I mean, your your switch is faulty. And so we're gonna talk about the blood today. The blood of Jesus is the blood of our covenant, it's the blood of our redemption. Everything hinges on our understanding of what the blood did. See, we live in a society that doesn't have any recognition about blood. In Bible days, they had blood covenants, and they were very familiar with blood covenants. That's how they did business, that's how they operated. And uh the shaking of hands was not just a shaking of hands, it was the blending of blood. You know? The outlaw Josie Wells, you know, I don't know, that's one of my favorite Western movies. It's got a little profanity and some stuff in it that's not that great, but it portrays this Josie Wells, who's a white man, and he's got the chief there, and they decide to have a parlay, and they're on their horses, and and they talk back and forth. You know, there's iron in your words, to life and to death, you know, and they go back and forth, and so they agree. They agree that they can live in peace in this place. He said, You're you're the sign of the uh uh uh whatever tribe they were will be over our lodge. And when you're gone in wintertime, we'll watch over the we'll watch over and make sure nobody uh comes in here. And then when you're home, well, we'll, you know, you we'll we'll help you with anything we can. So they they can't entered into a covenant. So the Indian cut his hand like that, and he cut his hand like that, and they joined the hands. See, that's that's the handshake goes all the way back to blood covenants. We don't know much about them, but we need to know about our blood covenant. It's not the blood of bulls and goats, it's not the blood of human beings, it's the blood of God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ. Are y'all with me now? So let's look at Colossians 1. Uh it says verse 12, giving thanks unto the Father who hath made us meet or able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who hath delivered us, past tense, from the power of darkness, and hath translated us, past tense, into the kingdom of his dear son, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Redemption Wipes Out Sin’s Record

SPEAKER_00

We have redemption through his blood. Redemption is to buy back, it's to pay a ransom. We were owned and we were under the heel of the devil when we were born. We were born into the kingdom of darkness. It's nothing we did. That's to every human being is born the same way. They're born lost. And there's, of course, little babies don't go to hell when they die, but you know, at some point you become accountable. It's the age of accountability, you know, the difference with every child. Some of them are four, some of them are six, some of them are seven or eight, some of them are older than that. But once the light turns on and they realize there is a God, then they become accountable. And if they're not born again at that point, they're not gonna make heaven. Jesus said, You must be born again. So this blood of redemption, see, we have this that we we have this redemption. We've been bought. We've been bought out of bondage. And uh, and it says, for the forgiveness of sins. Actually, that word forgiveness there is not the best English translation of the Hebrew word. It's really remitted. The sin is not just forgiven, it's gone. It's been erased as if it never happened. And so, if the devil is bringing your past, especially if he's bringing your past up before you got saved. I mean, I mean, I remember what it was like being lost, and I do talk about the things I did when I was lost, but I never feel condemned. I use it as a testimony. I don't, I don't ever feel one bit guilty about the things that I did when I was lost. Why? Because all of it's been taken away. There's no remembrance of it. The blood has the power to uh to erase God's own consciousness of our sin. And I want to say this that same blood can do the same for you, where it can it can erase from your consciousness your sin. Because if you don't, if you don't forget that sin, if you don't let it go away, you quit, you you've got to quit looking in the rear view mirror. Oh, I wish I'd have lived a better. I'm paying for the sins of my past. No, that's a bunch of baloney. You need revelation of what the blood has done. The blood has wiped it out. Glory to God, never to be, never to be discussed again. And so, uh the word redemption means to buy back to free by payment of ransom. Praise God. And you know, 1 Corinthians 6 19 says, What? Know ye not that your bodies the temples of the Holy Ghost, which you have of God, and you're not your own, but you've been bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God's. So that price that he paid transferred the ownership. The devil owned you when you were born, but guess what? When Jesus, when you accepted him, when you were born again, that came into effect, and now ownership has changed, and now he owns you. You're not your own. Everybody look at your hand. That's not you. I mean, it belongs to God. Your body belongs to God, your mind belongs to God, your spirit belongs to God. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. See, how can you glorify God and let sickness and disease dwell there, let all kind of bondage, addictions, and all that kind of stuff dwell there? No, we're gonna rise up and get rid of that stuff. Amen. So uh in 2 Corinthians 5 17, therefore, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. See, there's no there's no remembrance of old. In fact, if you're looking back past when you were lost and the things that you did, well, that guy that did that or that woman that did that is dead, is gone. So you didn't do it. I said, you didn't do it. The real you is a spirit, and you did not do those things. So I did not make my own beer, I did not drink to excess, I didn't cuss like a sailor. I didn't do that. That was the old guy, and he's gone now. Thank God. But what about now? Well, what about now? 1 John 1 1 9 says, if you if you confess, that's written for believers now. Once you've been born again, and and you know, God gave us this wonderful covenant because he knew that we were gonna be stuck living in this body. And this body, Paul said, in your flesh dwelleth no good thing. And I mean, he's right. I mean, your flesh is always going to want to do wrong, it's always gonna want to do what it used to do when the old man lived in there. It's always wanna, it always is gonna run against what you want it to do, and that's why you, the spirit of you, uh, along with your renewed mind, have to reign over your body and make it behave. Behave now. Stop that now. Amen. Quit giving yourself permission. Well, God knows how I am. No, that's not that's that's not cool. You let you do that enough and you'll harden your heart to where your conscience doesn't even work anymore, and then it allows you to just do all kinds of terrible things. Does that mean you're gonna go to hell? Well, I don't want to test it. But I know one thing, it's gonna cost you. I said it's gonna cost you. Well, why are we talking about that? Well, because you need to have an understanding of how powerful the blood is. And if the blood is powerful for your personal righteousness, see, I I've most people are too sin conscious. Their sin consciousness is Is on high alert. They go walk around guilty and ashamed of what they've done. And maybe it was just the other day, maybe it was yesterday, maybe it was this morning on the way to church. Well, the way to remedy that is take 1 John 1, I mean, you know, 1 John 1 9 says, if if you confess your sin, he is faithful and just to forgive you your sin and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Again, the word forgive means to take it away, as if it never happened. I mean, what a and he's faithful and just. I mean, are you gonna are you gonna believe that or are you not? But I in my experience, people make, you know, they sin and yes, they confess it, but they really don't ever really receive their forgiveness and their cleansing. They go around feeling guilty, feeling shamed, and then when they repeat that the next day, and then they go back to go, oh, I've done this three days in a row, and I've seen it. See, you you are all fouled up. You're never gonna get victory in your life because you need to get uh a hold of the revelation of how powerful the blood of Jesus is, but you've got to believe it. You've got to mix faith with it, you've got to say something out of your mouth. Are y'all with me now? So, uh, and what does the Bible say?

Ruling The Flesh And Renewing Minds

SPEAKER_00

Well, Romans 12, 1 says, we have to present our body a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And so you present your body. I mean, you you say, God, I'm I'm available, a body, you're gonna line up with God's word, you're gonna be, you're gonna yield to God's will. And then you, and then he said, you know, you need to be renewed in your mind. You need you need to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And so we have to literally reprogram our thinking because it's programmed negatively. The world is programmed negatively. The world is programmed to think that our best days are behind us. Let's look back and let's get the oldies out and let's think about what happened way back then. Oh, it was so good when I was younger. I wish I could go back to high school. I wish I could go back, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know, our best days are ahead of us. I don't I mean, yeah, I like I like some of that music, but I don't dwell there. I dwell, I'm I'm looking ahead. I see God as God is moving. We're we're coming into the greatest days. I don't long for yesterday, but the world does. I mean, they'll they'll they they just get all emotional and uh all these, you know, people, I mean, they get all uh tied into uh reunions. Well, you know, my high school reunion is so old. I mean, most of my classmates died already, so there's only a handful left. And uh whatever. I mean, I knew them when I, you know, I knew them 60 years, or what so what? I mean, they're they're not part of my life today. You're part of my life. I care about you. I I'm I'm I'm I'm centered on what I have right now. I'm not looking back to my high school. You mean you don't go, not anymore, I don't. I used to go and I was a light and I was a witness and I I told everybody what I did, and they're not interested. So I just went like that and just kept on going. Are y'all with me now? Some of you need to get rid of the old and let the new reign. So, 1 Corinthians 9 27, we have to keep our body under subjection. Paul said, you know, I keep my body under subjection. Lest while having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified. That's Paul. Paul had to keep his body under. Everybody's got a body that wants to do things, and that that is not something that you should feel guilty about. And that just puts you on the alert that you've got power over that body. You're gonna rule and reign over that body. Don't don't start. Oh God, I'm so sorry that I had that desire. Oh, come on. Every man has got desires that rise up, every woman has desires that rise up. It's not what it's not that, it's what you do with that desire. Do you do you capture that thing and say, oh no? See, that's what we do. Are you with me now? So, uh, folks, become uh so body conscious instead of spirit conscious, that means when they're body conscious, they're gonna be automatically uh under condemnation, they're gonna come under shame, they're gonna be their sin consciousness is way off the chart. When you're sin conscious and all you can do is think about what you did wrong, either yesterday or right now or whatever, and you don't get it under the blood and forget it like God did. Suppose God didn't, then God lied. But he didn't lie. See, God cannot lie. So it gets back to trusting that God is faithful and just. He does it for his sake because he wouldn't have a family if he held such tight reign over these poor people that have this flesh. This flesh is gonna be like that until the rapture, and then on that day we're gonna have brand new bodies. I'm I'm ready for one. I tell you, I'm ready for that brand new body. So uh uh so we've got to renew our minds to God's word and and change that internal dialogue. I call it an internal dialogue. I mean, if you're always dwelling on your shortcomings, your sin, the things you did wrong, and you let that go round and round in your mind, and it's it's it's just going round and round and round. Oh, I'm uh it's kind of an underlying guilt, an underlying shame. It's an underlying, you know, it's just kind of under the surface. You don't say it out loud, you don't let that anybody know, but it's under there, under there. Listen, you've got to destroy that. That is not God. That is not lined up with God's word. God's word says he forgave you. Forget your sins have been remitted, they've been wiped out. Are y'all getting this now? So, uh. All right, so changing the internal dialogue.

Blotted Out Debts And Purged Conscience

SPEAKER_00

Let's look at Colossians chapter 2. Get anything out of this today? I'm preparing you about this blood and what we can do to turn on the switch of faith in the blood. Colossians 2, verse 13. And you, everybody say he's talking to me, being dead in your sins and uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him. In other words, you were dead, and Jesus made you, the Father made you alive with Jesus. In the mind of God, when you got saved, it was just like you were raised from the dead, like Jesus was raised from the dead. He quickened you, made you alive. You were dead men, dead women walking. What do you mean, dead? I'm not talking about physical death. I mean you were separated from God, that death, spiritual death. If you die in that condition, you go to hell. That's it. That's why you have to be born again. When you're born again, then you're raised together with Him, quickened together. See, that's what this is talking about. And uh, and and so you uh in whom also you're uh verse 12, buried with him in baptism. All right, I'm verse 13. Let's go first. And you being dead in your sins, uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses? There's that word forgiven again. Again, it doesn't mean just forgive, it means remitted, it means wiped clean, it means forgotten. Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Having blotted out. See, the old the Bible is written on papyrus and this, this, you know, and and they had the ink, you know, they'd dip the pen in the ink and they'd go across there. And if they made a mistake uh on that, no matter whether it was the Bible or anything they're writing, uh they would blot, they take a blotter and they'd blot the ink off and it would come off and it would, you know, it it would it would clean it clean that all up. It would be blotted out. And uh, you know, old, old time uh typewriters that used to have, they used to have the correction tape, you know. You'd hold the correction tape over there if you made a if you're a secretary and you made an error instead of retyping the whole thing. If it was just real a minor, you put the correction tape on there and then just erase it and you'd type right over the top of it. You know, it they got pretty good where it was pretty pretty effective. Of course, nowadays we have word processors, all of that, you know. See, if you don't know those things, you're not familiar with blotting out. What blotting out means it's removed. It was there and now it's not. There's no stain, there's no sign that it was ever there. If you were Catholic, I mean the nuns taught me that sin left a stain. That even though I was forgiven, that I had a stain left, and that was why I needed to go to purgatory and burn for about 700 years to burn the stain up. That's a bunch of bunk. It's not in the Bible. That's that's totally unscriptural. There's nothing about purgatory in the Bible. Say again. If you've been programmed that way, though, you can think wrong. We've got lots of Catholic backgrounds. I won't even ask for a show of hands, but I mean there's a lot of Catholic backgrounds in here. And some of you still Catholic. Well, get out, quit going there. It's a bunch of bloney. I'm not saying some of them aren't saved, but some of them are a lot of them aren't. This Pope, I can't tell. I he kind of goes back and forth on him. All right, so uh let's look at uh Hebrews 9. I'm talking about this sin that is erased and how powerful the blood is to do that. And to free you from guilt and shame, because guilt and shame, as long as you hang on to the memory of sin, uh, you know, you're not being holy, you're being unbelieving. You're not believing God's word, and therefore that's going to hold you away from turning on the switch of faith. Hebrews chapter 9. Verse 12 neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, talking about Jesus, he entered in uh once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh. See, that's what the Jews had. And that blood had to be shed continually. Jesus shed his blood one time, and it's over. There's no more sacrifice for sin. There's no more making up, there's no more penance. You don't, you can't necessarily, that's another thing in the Catholic Church. They make you do penance for your sin. There's no penance, there's repentance. But penance is trying to earn uh your forgiveness. You can't do that. Jesus already bought and paid for it. It's unscriptural. It'll keep you out of the throne room. It'll keep you from having victory in your life if you think that way. And so, if the blood of bulls and goats and ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctifies with the purifying of the flesh, how much more? Everybody shout, how much more? Shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Purge, it means to blot out, it means to remove. It's really like remission. So your mind has the blood of Jesus, if you'll believe it and speak in a line with it, if your confession lines up with it, you don't have to remember sin once it happens. You just you absolutely have your conscience uh sprinkled with you know it's the blood of Jesus sprinkles you from guilty conscience. You don't have guilt. As soon as you confess it, it's over, it's gone, it's done. And now I can just go uh whistling on my way to work and praising God like I never that I didn't do, I did that mess earlier, but it's gone now. The blood just blotted it out, the blood just removed it. And so I have my my conscience, see, it says here, uh purged, my conscience from dead works. What's a dead work when you look that up? Really, it includes sin. See? So your conscience can be purged of your sin so it doesn't hold you back and have you standing outside feeling ashamed and feeling, you know, guilty, and I'm not worthy. No, the blood made you worthy. You can't get worthy on your own. You can't, no kind of behavior, no kind of penance, no kind of anything like that, can uh no kind of good works that you do. Well, I'm telling you, I'm gonna go down there and work at the homeless shelter. Maybe I can make up. No, you can't make up for your sin. Jesus did that. Not saying you shouldn't work and do good works, but I'm saying that's not, you don't do the good works to make up for anything. Are y'all with me now? So uh turn on the switch of the blood. You know, you've got to have a faith in what the blood does personally, and then you can begin to realize your covenant covers more than just sin. It covers things like your money, it covers things like sickness and disease, it covers things like mental trouble, uh, fear, bondage of any kind. The blood is active against all of that, just as active against all of those as it is the sin consciousness. Righteousness consciousness will put you in victory. And so turning on the switch of faith in the blood. Everybody say, faith in the blood. And uh let's look at that Revelation 12 again, real quick.

Overcoming The Accuser With Your Words

SPEAKER_00

Because we're living in a time when the devil knows his time is short, and he's come with great wrath. He is just looking for anybody and everybody he can take advantage of. Let's look at verse 10, Revelation verse 12, 10. And I heard a loud voice saying, In heaven, now has come salvation and strength in the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ, because, for, because, everybody say because the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. See, the He's the one that's behind this guilt and shame. He's accusing you. You're listening to, and if you've got that internal dialogue going where you're always ashamed of yourself and ashamed of what you did, I can't believe I did that. I'm saved. I shouldn't have done it. See, you've got to get rid of that stuff. You live in a carnal body, and it's gonna do things sometimes. You don't, I mean, you know, you've got to get over the shame part. It's keeping you out of the blessing. You can't be ashamed and bold at the same time. The righteous are what? Bold as a lion. Come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy. Amen. So, um, and then it says, you know, they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they love not their lives under the death. In other words, they're dead to the flesh. They only want God's word. They don't let their flesh rule them. Word of their testimony. I love what Derek Prince. When I first got saved, I'd listen to four people on radio. Hour every day. I'd listen to uh uh Brother Shambok, uh I listened to Derek Prince, Brother Hagin, and uh one more. Uh Charles Caps. That was the lineup. And I listened, uh and then one day, I mean, I hadn't been saved very long, and I heard uh Derek Prince teaching on the blood. He was teaching on Revelation 12. And he said, they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. He said, now he's not talking about your Christian testimony, he's talking about the testimony of what the blood has done for you. See, you need to know what the blood did for you, and you need to speak it. You need to speak it out because when you speak it out, your faith grows, and I'm telling you, you overcome the devil in everything he's trying to do. Everybody say, I'm turning on the switch of the faith. Faith in the blood. So plead the blood over circumstances, and what does that mean? It means to conduct a legal case, contend for what the for what the blood is purchased. I mean, the blood is purchased something. Are you gonna have it or not? Look at look at 1 Corinthians chapter 3. Oh, I love this verse. 1 Corinthians chapter 3. Verse 16, know you not that they that you're the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? See, he says that in chapter 3, he says it again in chapter 6. He's teaching them about who they are. They're the temple of God, their body's the temple of God. Therefore, verse 21, therefore, let no man glory in men. So they were glorying that Paul baptized them, Apollos baptized them, you know, this one and that one. They were they were they were carnal in that they they held men in admiration. He said, He said, No, don't let no man glory in men, for all things are yours. Whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come, all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. So you don't belong to yourself, you're owned. And if you are owned, then all that belongs to God belongs to you. Now let me ask you a question. Is what you need, does God have it available? Does he have available anything and everything that you need? Then it's already yours. So what is it gonna take? Turn on the switch of faith and it'll flow to you. Oh, I tell you. You're not trying to get God to do something, you're not begging God to do anything. I mean, you just simply turn on the switch of how do you do it? With your mouth and your heart. You've got to believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. All right, Isaiah 43.

Pleading The Blood Like A Legal Case

SPEAKER_00

Let's look at that one. Conduct a legal case. I love this verse. I've done it many, many times over the years. Verse 25. I like this one. Verse 25. I, and this is Old Testament. I, even I am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins. The blood of bulls and goats did that. How much more to the blood of Christ? Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare thou that thou mayest be justified. Now the word plead there doesn't mean beg, it means to enter into a legal case, a pleading. You're you're pleading before the judge of all the earth, and he happens to be your heavenly father. You kind of got an inside track there. But he loves you. He knows what his word says, but he wants to know whether you know it. He wants to know how adept you are at taking his word to him and saying, now, God, this says this in the Bible. It says Jesus Himself bare my sickness and took my infirmities. And yet I've got these symptoms. They have to go. I'm not gonna stand for this in Jesus' name. See? And what does the blood have to do with it? Well, I'm fixing to tell you, you can plead the blood of Jesus against these things. It's just yet another way to receive what God has for you. It's bringing our Father in remembrance of what was shed. It's right there in front of him at the mercy seat. Jesus' blood is right there. Our advocate Jesus is at his right hand, and he's when you bring your case to him, he points to the blood, Father, they're right. Here's the blood of redemption right here. Oh, come on now. I heard Kenneth Coleman say this years ago. He said, you know, my experience, most Christians pray too, pray too sin. They have a problem and then they just go yakking and they start praying, and they don't have any basis for their prayer. It's mostly a beg and help me, oh God, and all that. Well, that's a baby, baby Christians can do that, but you know, finally God expects us to grow up and he expects us to take his word and bring and put him in remembrance of what his word says. He didn't forget it, but he wants to make sure you did. And he loves it when you do it. And so uh the blood of Jesus is the blood of redemption. And it doesn't matter how long the situation has been. I mean, we just talked about 12 years for the woman with the issue of blood, and 18 years for this woman who's bowed at the waist. If you keep reading, you find out about, you know, uh uh the man, the lame man at the beautiful gate, I mean, at the Pool of Bethesda, was there 38 years? Lame. For 38 years, paralyzed, and you find the man at the gate beautiful that was born lame, 40 years old. I mean, it didn't matter, it was 40 years, 38 years, 18 years, 12 years, however long it's been going on, the blood of Jesus. And so the old timers used to use this uh imagery. They would believe in holding the blood against trouble. Holding the blood. Holding the blood against sickness. Holding the blood against bondage. Holding the blood over your wayward children. Holding the blood over your marriage. Holding your holding the blood. What does that mean? Holding the blood with your mouth. You release your faith in the blood of Jesus. After you've already prayed, after you've already believed you received, now you hold it against that situation. Every time you think about that situation, every time you're confronted with it, well, praise God, the blood of Jesus. Satan the blood of Jesus is against you. You do it with your mouth. I mean, you know, uh in the Old Testament, when uh the death angel was in the camp, uh, God warned the Israelites to take the blood of the lamb, slay a lamb, and cook the Passover dinner, and take the blood and dip hyssop into it. Hyssop was a branch of a tree, and uh and strike your doorpost and your threshold with the blood of the lamb, and the death angel will pass over you. That's where they get the feast of Passover. The death angel passed over all the houses where he saw the blood of the Lamb. And everybody else, they lost the firstborn of all of the uh both man and beast that night, and that's what released the children of Israel. I mean, they quit trying to hold them back and they left the next day. So uh your mouth is the hyssop. Your mouth is what's dipped in the blood, and you splash it on and hold it on something until it releases. Now I was meditating on this the other day, and uh thought about something I hadn't thought about in a long, long time. But, you know, as a little kid growing up in Galena Park, we didn't have play dates, you know, there's no play dates. And uh we got to roam the neighborhood. I'm four or five years old. In fact, I I had a try I hadn't even learned to ride a bicycle. I had a tricycle, and my mother let me ride my tricycle up to Clinton Drive, and and and I didn't cross the road, but I'm it's bordering, and there's Clinton Drive, man, all this traffic, big heavy trucks, there's a ship channel, and all that. And I and and Woody's bar uh barber shop was on that road, and I rode my little tricycle down the street, got on the sidewalk and rode it to Woody. Well, I'll never forget that. I was so proud that I got to go by myself to the barbershop. And of course, Woody picks up the phones. Well, he's here now, he made it. And uh I didn't call my mother to let me know, let her know that I had made it, you know. You couldn't how many of them would let your child ride her tricycle anywhere? I mean, you wouldn't, they wouldn't, you wouldn't even let them ride it out in front of your street, in front of your house, which different day. But anyway, we'd we'd all summer long, we'd just go barefoot, you know, your feet get tough and all, and I stepped on some kind of board or something, some kind of wood, I don't know what it was. I got a big old splinter in the bottom of my foot. And I'm what, four or five? So I come limping home, and and I told my mother, and so she had me lay down and she started digging around, trying to get trying to get that splinter out. She could not grab it with tweezers, and then she got the needle. I said, Oh no, no, no. And she starts digging, and I said, Ah! She got past the tough part. And uh, and so she said, Okay, I know what I'll do. So she went in the kitchen and and got a piece of bacon and cut a little piece of bacon off and slapped a piece of bacon on on that, on that thorn, on that splinter, and wrapped my foot around, and I went to bed with bacon wrapped around my foot. I know some of you thinking I'm making this up. I'm not making it up. It's it's absolutely Google it. Google it. And so, thanks morning, she said, All right, let's see what's going on there. I said, I couldn't wait to get that bacon off my foot, you know. I was ready to go again. So, anyway, she pulled that bacon off, and I mean she took a pair of tweezers and it just pulled right out. That bacon drew that that splinter up to the surface. I don't know just how it happens, whether it softens the skin. I don't care. All I knew is I got rid of that splinter. And I tell you, when you hold the blood of Jesus against that circumstance, the devil has got to take his hands off of you. He's got to let that situation loose. He's coming out of that situation right now. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Woo!

Prayer Example And Final Rejoicing

unknown

Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_00

Now, I don't have a copy of this. I just wrote it down. And I'll just say it. You can you can write, you know, transcribe it sometime later when you listen to this message. But this is an example of how I would pray. Devil, I plead the blood of Jesus, my deliverer and my redeemer, against you. I hold the blood against this circumstance. According to Colossians 1:13, I've been delivered from the your authority, control, jurisdiction, and power. And the blood cries, I am free. I agree with the blood. I adjure you in Jesus' name, cease and desist in your maneuvers and operations against me. And I thank you, Father, that it's done. Hallelujah. Come on, lift your hands. Praise God. Learn to hold the blood. Learn to turn on the switch of faith and watch your circumstances change. Praise God. Come on, let's rejoice today. Glory to God.
