So if you'll do me a favor and just let's hold up our Bibles and make a little confession together. Say, Heavenly Father, I'm grateful for Wednesday nights. I'm grateful for a place to gather together where I can learn, where I can grow. And Father, we put your word first tonight. We thank you for supernatural hearing. We thank you for supernatural revelation. Lord, we just thank you for obedience with every person here. I'm gonna I obey your word. I put you first. In Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah. Liberty Message And Where To Watch

if you can't find it anywhere else. And so um, but it was all about liberty on Sunday morning, and it was so good. And so um tonight I just uh I had a message titled, What would you have me to do? And so that stuck out when James was going over in uh in Exodus. We'll start in Exodus chapter 3 with Moses, but then also I was talking to um, I think it was last week, I went to breakfast with Brother Jimmy Smith, and he's always a good armor bearer. He's always pouring in to me and helping me, but also like uh, you know, it's iron sharpens iron. He's he listens to what I say, and then I'm I listening, I'm listening to what he's saying and what God's showing him, and we just go back and forth, and it's good to have uh supernatural relationships like that. And so just if you don't have that, you're gonna find that here at Glorious Way Church. And uh and if you also just to be to receive encouragement, you have to sow encouragement. I just wanted to encourage everybody from this standpoint that we are filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit. And if you truly are uh filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit, then you have him on the inside of you, and you're able uh to be a good encourager when you're leaning on the Holy Spirit. You he'll lead you to people. Sometimes you can tell by just someone's countenance that they need some encouragement. And you go up to them, and then your words, you're

The Question That Changes Everything

not doing it out of uh of any other motive, but just to do what God wants to be done. Amen. You're a you're a steward of the gifts that He's given you, but you're an encourager from the Holy Spirit using uh supernatural unction. And so uh, you know, I just think back of it's a year of new things and all of the things that God's leading us to do as a church and as a ministry, it requires intimacy first. It requires each and every one of us to say yes and so to our calling. And so uh, you know, uh we're gonna start off with talking about Moses, we're gonna talk about Paul, we're gonna talk about Jesus. I'll probably end up talking about my dad because that's easy to do, and I'll probably talk about myself, not out of pride, but just because who else do I have to talk about? I I'm the one that that has you know experienced things that I've experienced, and so I'll talk about that tonight as well. But uh let's start off in Exodus 3. We all know the story, and then like I said, James just went over this on Sunday. But uh while Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, verse 2, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush, and so he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. And so we see um that the angel of the Lord, the the Lord himself, was in this burning bush, right? In verse 3 it says, Then Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight why the bush does not burn. And so he wanted to go investigate. And if you left it there, you would think, okay, well, I would go investigate too. But really, I think it's the New Living Translation that says that Moses was amazed. And so, really, you want to read between the lines here and see that Moses marveled. He marveled at the presence of God. He didn't know it was God yet, but as he started to approach, we know the whole story, we know what's coming up next. But I just, that was my number one point is God uh still not only wants to get your attention, but he wants you to marvel in his presence. I know that's a big number one, but just you can just put marvel in his presence. That God is in the marveling business. Amen. And he has not lost the recipe of how to surprise you and how to overtake you with blessings and so much that you can't contain. He is in the marveling business. And I'm telling you, here recently, you know, Selena and I will sit out on the front porch and just marvel at the faithfulness of God and we'll go back and forth. Hey, remember, he rescued us out of this and out of that, and we'll and we'll go over testimonies too of 31 years of ministry of how God rescued uh one person out of another, out of another. Like we were going through some of the the men, we've been doing youth ministry. She's the youth pastor, I always like to make that clear. But uh, we've been doing youth ministry for now for a long time. And so uh I'm sure I'm not the oldest person to work with youth, but it's it feels like it someday. Some days, rather. But uh you know, God has not lost his ability and his recipe to make you marvel, but you have to allow yourself to get close to him. You gotta allow yourself to experience his presence, right? And so what was happening here is God was calling Moses to his purpose, and he was changing everything. This was a new thing that had never been done in Moses' life, and God was changing everything. So, verse 4, so when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses, and he said, What did he say? What does your Bible say? Here I am. Do you think that here I am? Was it just like a I forgot how James worded that exactly on Sunday, but no, it wasn't just a he it was, I'm available. Hey, what would you have me to do? I'm available, you have my attention. It was his response, it was his answer. He was answering God. It wasn't it wasn't just a willy-nilly, oh, I'm over here, Lord. No. He's he's answering the call of God, amen. And verse 5, and then uh uh God said to not draw, do not draw near this place, take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. And so um, I skipped my number two though, and that is that God requires a response. God requires a response, and he's

Moses And The Burning Bush Wonder

looking for availability. You know, we we we sometimes we come to church just to check off a box. Sometimes we come to church because we're looking for an answer. We we're desperate. We wait for for all hell to break loose in our lives and for things to start falling apart and for us to be really desperate. You know, I I think I think uh last last Wednesday night, uh God brought us a uh a man and he was he was just so hungry for the Lord. He was so ready for uh for the for God to just fill him up. And it was just, you know, I just think sometimes some of us has have lost our our hunger for the Lord, for for more. I'm hungry for more. I don't know about you, but I'm hungry for more. Y'all hungry for more tonight? Amen. And so um, and so in order to get to that place, you know, Moses uh allowed God to have his attention, then he responded, here I am, and then number three, I'm gonna have one live here. He honored. He honored because what did he have to do? He took his sandals off. God told him to take his sandals off, and in that culture, that was a way of showing the maximum amount of honor. Why was that place holy ground? It was holy ground because of the presence of God. No other reason but the presence of God. And so uh Moses showed honor towards the presence of God, and so we must honor, right? In verse 6, moreover, he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. And so God said, I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their task maskers, masters, for I know their sorrows. So God knows what you're going through. God knows exactly what uh bothers you. He knows your past, he knows all of your mistakes, and he's able to forgive you of those mistakes. He's able to turn your whole life completely around. And all we have to do is repent of those sins, of those mistakes, and um cast our burden on him, for he cares for us, and turn and run the other direction into his open arms. And and uh I'm telling you, he's he meets you right where you're at. Uh as soon as at the moment wherever you're at, when you turn, he is right there. Uh in Hebrews it says to draw near to him and he'll draw near to you. Amen. And so um he did that for the children of Israel, verse verse 8. We're not going to go through the whole chapter. Uh so I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians. And so uh uh I'll skip some verses here. Let's see. Um verse 13, then Moses uh said to God, indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is his name? What should I say? And so God told them his name. He said, I am who I am. I am he I am has sent me to you. And then uh and so basically, we'll go all the way back down to 21. Uh and I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it shall be when you go that you shall not go empty handed, but every woman shall ask of her neighbor night uh neighbor, namely of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold and clothing, and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters, so you shall plunder the Egyptians. In other words, God had a supply. So God did not leave them empty-handed. They didn't leave Egypt empty-handed, but they were blessed. They had a supply. And I'm telling you, that supply poured down uh obviously onto Moses. Moses did not lack

Doubts Excuses And God’s Patience

for anything, and so here God was calling him, and he was quick to obey. He was, first of all, he was quick to respond to the presence of God and get into the presence of God, honor the presence of God, respond to the presence of God, respond to God's calling, and then he they were they were all blessed, right? And so uh, and but he continued to question over and over, and I want to get to one of those. Um go to the next chapter, chapter four, go down to verse 10, and it says, uh, then Moses said to the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue. And so the Lord said to him, Who has made man's mouth, or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Hear have not I the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say. And so he kept arguing with the Lord, and then in verse 14, the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses. And the bottom line is God walked, held Moses' hand through every single doubt, through the unbelief. You know, uh it's it's so much better to be quick to believe. You know, I was just uh we were just in the last part of Pastor Mark and Trina's camp meeting there in Alexandria, Louisiana, uh last was that last week or two weeks ago? Last week, I guess. And uh and I think it was on the Friday morning message, I could be wrong, but Pastor Mark just taught on the believing part of faith. And I was just remember telling my dad, I've heard him preach on that many times, you know. You had he does the whole one, one and three gang symbols, you know, uh the believing part of faith. You have to preach the speaking part of faith three times more than the believing part of faith, but still you can't preach on the speaking part of faith if you don't believe. And so he still preaches on the believing part of faith, and and um believing God is required. And so um Moses did get into a place where he believed God, where he stopped questioning God and he obeyed God, and and look what God did through his life, amen. And so uh stop with the excuses, you know, and listen to the call of God. And and you, you know, the call of God can be simple. It's not always, you know, necessarily to the five-fold ministry, but every believer has a calling. Every believer has a ministry. There's a man walking in right now that's got a calling on his life. Amen. We're for you, we're with you. Praise the Lord. It's good to see you. Hallelujah. And so, uh, but every believer has a ministry. Every believer is called. And so you're not necessarily called to the five-fold ministry, but you're called to advance the kingdom of God. And what are you doing with that call? Are you responding to that call or are you ignoring it? Are you getting so busy in your day-to-day life that you forget what you're called to do? Or are you running from the call? I I have not necessarily been exactly in that place because that's a dangerous place to be, but I will just say, like uh, you know, 31 years when this church first started,

Believing Part Of Faith And Calling

uh I was definitely behind the scenes. I was a behind-the-scenes guy. I was, I uh literally, uh my my testimony was my dad took me to to lunch on a Sunday. I worked over at Lakewood uh in their television department with Pastor Joel, and I had to miss work that day because my dad was more important. He wanted to take me to lunch, where he announced, you know, him and my mom announced to me that they were starting this church and that he would like me to go with them. And I said yes. And then I counted the cost afterwards. It uh it had me scratching my head because I had just been promoted at Lakewood. I just I I was uh on a trajectory there to do a lot of good things, but God needed me here. And so I obeyed that call. You say, well, that's easy, it was your dad. No, at that point he became my pastor. And I remember uh uh all of the changes that that I I had a season. I I went back to Lakewood and worked on a few projects, and the grace, the more I did that, the grace just lifted more and more and more, and here the grace increased more and more and more. And uh, but I you know, like on and on and on. I was just gonna use like uh like in 2001, I was still running sound, and we had finally put a band together, and uh, and we were only like a few months into having finally having a church band because we had we had like sang the tracks until that moment, and I was back there in the in the sound booth running the tracks, and so we used little mini discs, and I would have to program the mini-disc player to you know go to all these different tracks, and uh finally put a band together, and the bass player got uh you know, changed jobs and they moved to Dallas. And he sat me down, I'll never forget. He's like, Jay, it's easy to play the bass. I can tell, I've heard you play the guitar. You could really, you could be a good bass player. And so by the next Sunday, I had gone out, bought a bass, and became the church bass player and trained another guy to run sound. It was it was just it was actually easy because of the anointing. It didn't make any sense in the natural, but it was easy in the anointing. But still, I wanted to be the behind-the-scenes guy. I was always fighting. So when when my dad and mom started leaning on, you know, Selena and I were married and and and uh leaning on us to do all kinds of things, it was just it was nerve-wracking to get up in front of people and have my knees shake. But, you know, um they they both saw something in uh in us that we didn't quite see at the time and pulled it out of us, encouraged that out of us, and and here we are today, anointed, and we're definitely called to do what we do. And uh and the calling it makes all the difference in the world. And so uh if you're trying to do something you're not called to do, it's gonna be a mess. And there's not gonna be uh the spirit's not gonna be involved in it, and it's gonna be uh a trek, you know, it's gonna be uh hard sledding, right? And so there's no grease to to grease the skids so that you can go. And so the anointing uh is is the anointing brings oil, oil of gladness. There's gladness, there's there's a joy in what we do serving people. And uh, but serving people is not about us, it's not about what we want to do, it's not about what we uh what we think we're good at, what we think we should be doing. It's all about pleasing the Lord through serving people, and that's what Jesus did. And so uh what was God doing here? He was calling Moses, and he was uh giving Moses a fresh assignment that changed everything. And so um, you know, I missed in some of these verses, I think I I missed uh, you know, where where God gave Moses his rod as signs and wonders and miracles could happen through his rod. That was number gonna be number four, that God equipped Moses with power, and he's given us power too, right? And so those that power is signs and wonders and miracles, and people people always think they're exempt from from that. Like, oh, that's that Jesus wasn't talking to me, he was talking to the disciples. He was, you know, but let's it let's actually go there. Let's go to Mark 16 and and get the the red letters staring us in the face in case you have any doubt. And um in verse 15 it says, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs, verse 17, and these signs will follow those, what does it say? It says, Those who believe. Are you a believer? I'm a believer. Selena is a believer, and so in my name, in whose name, the name of Jesus, they or we, the ones who believe, in other words, it's not they the disciples, it's they who believe, right? They will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents, and they will drink, and if they drink any deadly thing, uh it by no means will hurt them, and they will lay hands on the sick, and those sick will recover. Amen. And so we have power. We have power to heal. That healing power flows through us. It's not, it doesn't belong, it you know, it does belong to us, but it's from God, and we are just uh the the orifices to you know to spreading that healing. That that anointing flows through us, amen. We're just the vessel. Hallelujah. And so we have God's power. So this was, you know, back back in the Old Testament with Moses, that was that was uh that was different because that was the Old Testament. Now we have the power of the Holy Spirit living on the inside. We have the glory of God living on the inside. It's not going to come in a burning bush over to our right, it's gonna come right here because we carry. The presence of God with us. And so we're still responding to that call. We're still obeying that call. Amen. And so let's go ahead and flip over to the book of Acts in the ninth chapter, and we see the conversion of Paul. But Paul wasn't Paul yet, he was still Saul. And so and it says in verse 3, as he journeyed, talking about Saul, let's just call him Paul. Every time it says Saul, we'll call him Paul, so we don't have an identity crisis, even though he wasn't Paul yet. He's Paul now. And as Paul journeyed, he came near Damascus, and suddenly

Obeying When It Costs You

a light shone around him from heaven, and then he fell on the ground and heard a voice saying to him, Paul, Paul, why are you persecuting me? In other words, you know, Jesus is speaking, right? Because these words are in red. Why didn't Jesus say, Why are you persecuting my church? He didn't say that, did he? He said, He said, Me, you're persecuting me. But why did he say that? Because Jesus is the head of the church, right? And so think about it today, when when there's naysayers everywhere, when they come against the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the church at large, and and yes, specifically our church as well, but I'm just talking about the church at large. Who are they persecuting? Are they just persecuting the church? No, they're persecuting Jesus. And that's why it's so uh important what we say with our words. And when we just get on Facebook or social media in general and just start typing away because of our opinion, you know, um, and we think that we know it all, we know better, and we and we don't, uh we better not be persecuting the church of Jesus. Amen. And so what was Paul doing? Paul was in the he was a murderer, he was murdering Christians, and um and he thought he knew. So what was his first reaction? He says in verse 5, Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. Again, Jesus is saying, Hey, you're persecuting me. And it's hard for you to kick against the goads. And that word uh basically has to do with the equipment that goes around an ox, and when an ox fights that equipment, that it's just gonna dig deeper and deeper into his skin. In other words, Paul, the only person Paul is hurting is himself, you know, and so it's it's gonna be harder and harder. The more you persecute Jesus, it's gonna get harder and harder and harder for you. That's what he's saying. And so then Paul, trembling and astonished, and basically again he marveled, right? Because he's in he's in total astonishment. And he said, Lord, what do you want me to do? What would you have me to do? Another version says, which is where I got this title tonight. What would you have me to do? So again, was it like, hey, throwing his hands up, what you want me to do? It wasn't that. He was saying, hey, I'm available. He immediately had a heart change. Immediately. And then the Lord had very specific instructions for him, and what did he do? He followed those instructions to a T. So let's read those. Jesus says, Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do. And the men who who journeyed with Paul stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no one. So they heard what was going on, but they couldn't see Jesus, right? So then Paul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one. Uh but they led him, in other words, he was blind, right? And he led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was there, Paul was there three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank. And so he began a three-day fast. And so Ananias, here comes Ananias on the scene. Um, so uh Ananias, let's see, verse 10. Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias, and to him the Lord said in a vision, Ananias, and he said, Here I am, Lord. So there's that response again. It wasn't like, well, what do you want me to do? No. He's he's making himself available. Do you see this in the story? What would what would happen? I want you to kind of think of this, kind of think this over as we finish the story, as we read this story out. What if Ananias hadn't obeyed? What if he would have just stayed asleep? What if he would have just, where would we be today? Where where would Paul, like Paul wrote half the New Testament, where would we be without that revelation? And so it's so important to obey. And so that's my number four point is be quick to obey. Ananias was quick to obey. So the Lord said to him, Arise, verse 11, and go to the street called Strait, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. So so, in other words, Paul is back at that house and he's praying. He's not

Mark 16 Power For Every Believer

just uh begging God to see again. No, he's he's praying like he needs direction, right? And so, and here the Lord is pouring into Ananias uh the vision of Paul. Let's see, verse 12. And in the vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hands on him so that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, wait a minute, whoa! I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to you to your saints in Jerusalem. Again, Paul was killing Christians. He was brutal. Uh and so he had a reputation, and that reputation went, you know, that was a bad reputation that went before him. And Ananias is like, wait a minute. Uh in verse 14, he has authority from the chief priest to bind all who call on your name. But then in verse 15, the Lord said to him, Go, for he is a chosen vessel. Just look at this. Just he is a chosen vessel of mine to bear my name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. So there, you know, God was showing Ananias Paul's purpose, right? He before he revealed it to Paul himself, he revealed Paul's purpose to Ananias. I just want you to see that. And so, um, because that was a game changer that Paul was going to preach Jesus to the Gentiles. Nobody thought the Gentiles were included. They were just preaching it to the Jews, right? So at that point, the gospel really wasn't for Gentiles yet. But God was about to change everything through the ministry of Paul. Amen? So in verse 16, for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my namesake. Verse 17. And Ananias went his way and entered the house, and laying his hands on Paul, said this Brother Paul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. And immediately, everybody say, immediately, immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once, and he arose and was baptized. And so right then, boom, he receives the Holy Spirit, and he receives his purpose supernaturally, and he receives that calling, he receives that fire, and he obeys that calling. Amen. Paul’s Conversion And A New Purpose

So when he, verse 19, so when he had received food, he was strengthened, and then he spent some days with the disciples there at Damascus, and then verse 20, there's another immediately. Do you see it? Immediately, Paul preached the Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. And so the margin says he preached Jesus. So that's my number five tonight. That's my last point. Preach Jesus. You're called to preach Jesus. I'm called to preach Jesus. We're not preaching about ourselves. We might uh be preaching out of our testimony. We might be sharing our testimony. Uh and they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. So we have a testimony that's powerful, right? And so uh think about Paul's testimony. It's powerful. And he did, he preached out of that testimony uh what Jesus did, but it wasn't about Paul, it was about the power of Jesus, right? It was about the fire of the Holy Spirit that was on the inside of him. Amen. It wasn't about him, it wasn't about doing it his way, it wasn't about uh, and he and he says that in in Corinthians and then uh in Philippians as well. You know, he counts it all as dung, like every everything that that that uh all of his accolades, all of his education, all of his uh upbringing, and uh, and he goes through that like that litany, and hey, all of that doesn't matter anymore. What matters is the power of the Holy Spirit. And so I just encourage you, you have a testimony, you have amazing things on the inside of you that Jesus has done, and preach Jesus. Uh we don't the the world is so hungry for the real. There is fake on every in every real. There's AI fake coming from all directions, and a spirit of deception is out there uh taking people down every day, but but there's other people that are arising that are hungry for truth. And here we are meeting that hung hunger every day with the power of the Holy Spirit that's on the inside of us. So, you know, I just wanted to obviously he preached Jesus, but that word immediately. You know, uh there's nothing wrong with preparation. We we preached a balance here that we do have to be prepared. But I'm just telling you, if you have a testimony and you don't need a lot of preparation to share Jesus with somebody who's hungry. Amen. And so it said immediately he preached Jesus. He didn't have to go to Bible school, he didn't have to go study for 10 years on, you know, the Bible does say to study to show yourself approved. So we do study, we do know the word of God, but I'm just saying you can start sharing your testimony. You can start loving people with the agape love of God the same way he loved you out of your mess, you can love other people out of their mess. And it's possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. And so let's not be shy about it, let's not be uh lackadaisical about it, let's be serious about it. These are the last days. We're living in the last days. Let's be on it, let's be full of the Holy Spirit. Let's not be full of ourselves, let's not be full of selfishness, let's not be, you know, uh the voice of the flesh. We all have the voice of the flesh that tries to rise up. You know, like the last two mornings. I didn't sleep a whole lot last night. And so getting out of bed this morning, my flesh wanted, hey, why don't you just sleep in? I started like like calculating what could I miss if I just slept in a little bit. Um, but no, God, I have an appointed schedule today to get things done for God. And uh, but but seriously, stop listening to the voice of the flesh, listen to your spirit. And uh, you know, um I was gonna talk about Rossi for a second. Can I talk about you? Can you uh can we use you as an example? You know, like um like newly married, lots, you know, uh they let me know, like I spoke a word over them the day they got back from their honeymoon. I welcomed them back, and it was, I don't remember exactly what I what what the word was, but it was just about it being a season of reaping, you know, a season of blessing. And so the devil tried his best to come against every, you know, that word and all of the good things that were happening, and and I'm not I'm putting words into their mouth, but like, you know, they could they could have felt like they were drowning and all of the one issue after another that the devil, but they're overcomers and their mouth never stopped moving of faith. They spoke, they speak faith, they live faith, and faith is an action, and faith is not just words, but it starts with words, but it ends in action, and they're they're they're a couple of action and a couple of faith. And so uh and so the devil tried his best, but his best is not enough. And I just, you know, um recently Rosie's gotten a new job, but it's really far away. And so um he's having to make that commute and put all this together all at once, and all the new and all of the, you know, and add that commute on top of that, and it's not easy. And it would be easy to just stay in bed, you know, and just but he has he responds to the call of God because it's he's he realizes it's not it's not about him, it's about his calling, it's about what God has him to do. And so uh let's review tonight what would you have me to do? You know, when when when we respond to the Lord, um what is it that we're responding to? We're responding to the call, we're responding to his voice. And so, number one, we need to marvel in his presence. In other words, don't take it for granted that he's coming down to visit you or to speak to you. And I'm not saying that, you know, you're gonna be like Brother Hagin and Jesus is gonna come and sit at the footstool, you know, of your bed and just spend three hours with you. That doesn't happen a lot. But you're led by the Holy Spirit on the inside. You're and so um we need to be looking

for that. We need to be mindful, uh, okay, Lord, what would you have me do today? What what is what do you want me to accomplish today? And not just what my flesh wants to accomplish or what my boss wants to accompl wants me to accomplish. What do you want me to accomplish? And so marvel in his presence, and I'm telling you, he'll start visiting with you with his presence. It doesn't have to be a Sunday morning thing, a Sunday night thing. You can worship like we worship tonight, uh, going down the road in your car. Uh, and he responds, he he inhabits the praises of his people. And so when you start praising him for all the wonderful things that he's done, boom, he is right there. He is not some faraway God way up in the universe, way up, you know. He is right here, right now. He's a very present help in trouble, and and he wants to be, he desires to be right there. Amen. And so, number one, marvel in his presence. Number two, respond to that calling. Respond to his calling. Lord, what would you have me to do? You know, make yourself available. Uh, get rid of all the distractions. Hebrews 12 is really good at that. Um, and look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our of our faith. Amen. So, so get rid of all distractions, get rid of the things that are holding you back, get rid of the dead weight. Uh, you know, uh, that's what this whole year has really been about. The year of new things, it's also uh throwing overboard some of the things that, as the Holy Spirit shows you, uh, the things that aren't working. And so uh and the things that are distracting. You know, Selena sent me a reel, which was kind of uh uh ironic, right? Because it was a reel all about how reels are can be a problem. How addicting your phone is, and how basically, no matter uh uh she she sent me another reel today about um um kids and how basically their brains are shrinking. Literally, they're like in an MRI machine watching this process happen as their uh frontal lobe and all of the dopamine as they're getting all these hits from scrolling on their phone. And it's it's crazy just uh how addicting that can be. But but but the the other reel that she sent me, like if you're spending uh two hours on your phone every night and only two minutes with your spouse, you know, and you you know how like why you're wondering why you're you're not feeling connected. That that should be like a like an obvious moment. You your priorities are in the wrong place. And so you're getting rid of the things that distract. Amen. And so, number three, we're using his power. You know, there's uh uh I think that was on another reel. Ironically, I'm talking about reels now. Mark Henkins had a real reel today. It was talking about uh, you know, God's up in heaven. And if you said, God, I need more power, God be like, What am I gonna do? I've given you all of my power. We don't, we don't, there's not, there's not a lacking of power, it's a lack of the use of his power. And so plug in to his power. And and some of y'all, you know, um, some of y'all are still on the 12 volts. You need to unplug that one and plug in the 220, right? And uh and get some power going in this place. Hallelujah. Get some power going and hear. How do we get power? Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. And so we've all been given a measure of faith. And what are we doing with that measure to make sure it's growing? And and how we don't, we shouldn't be ignoring the uh the watering process. We hear the word the first time, it's a seed, it goes in and it begins to grow. But if we neglect the watering process, it it's never it's never going to grow past this one little stage. And God wants that seed to keep growing and growing and growing, and He wants our revelation knowledge to keep growing and growing and so forth. And then uh number four was obey his leading, and number five was to preach Jesus.
