This message centers on the power and authority in the name of Jesus, beginning with the story in Acts 3 where a man is instantly healed through faith. From there, it moves through scripture and real-life testimonies to show how that same power is still at work today, shaping lives through healing, breakthrough, and transformation. Along the way, it emphasizes identity in Christ, the authority given to believers, and the call to live with bold faith rather than hesitation or doubt. It closes with a strong reminder that the name of Jesus is not just something spoken, but something believers are meant to live and act in every day.
Opening Praise And Expectation
SPEAKER_00Pick up our Bibles before you're seated and lift them up and wave them around. Make Jesus glad, the devil mad. They say this together, say, Heavenly Father, we're so glad to be in your presence along with people of light precious faith. It's this atmosphere in which all things are possible. There's nothing too big, there's nothing too hard. There's nothing too difficult that you can't intervene in Jesus' name. Amen, amen, amen. Woo! Glory to God. Thank you, Lord. If I'd have brought my running shoes, I'd run a little bit. All right, praise God. Let's
Acts 3 Miracle At The Gate
SPEAKER_00turn in our Bibles to Acts, the third chapter. And we'll start reading with verse 1. We're going to read a few verses. I hope if you're in a hurry, well, you'll just kind of just be patient while we read the scripture. Sometimes I just have a couple of verses, but this morning I want to read the whole testimony. Acts chapter 3, verse 1. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour, that's 3 o'clock in the afternoon. And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, think about that. And later on it says he's over 40 years old. Lame from his mother's womb, was carried when they'd laid whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called beautiful, to ask alms of them who entered into the temple. Who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up. He didn't move fast enough. And immediately, everybody shout, immediately, his feet and ankle bones received strength, and he leaping up, stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at which had happened, at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John. Get a hold of that. See, they're all leaping, they're all jumping together with their arms around each other. Just look at that scene. He held Peter and John. All the people ran together into them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, You men of Israel, why marvel you at this? Why look you so earnestly on us as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? And then he began to preach. The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son, Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate. Just want to run, I want to remind you what you did. When he was determined to let him go, but you denied the Holy One and the just and desired a murderer to be granted unto you, and kill the Prince of Life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name. His name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Oh, glory to God.
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_00Everybody safe the name of Jesus. Alright, then in Acts chapter 4, you know, you keep reading, and so, you know, instead of being glad, I mean, the temple rulers were mad and envious and jealous of what had happened because 3,000 people got saved. 3,000 people left Judaism and went and became Christians, and now, you know, the temple rulers are mad and they're they're angry. And in verse 13, now when they, the temple rulers, saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, you know, they weren't that dumb. They were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, What shall we do to these men? For indeed a notable miracle, everybody shout, notable miracle. A notable miracle hath been done by them, is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.
Defining Faith In Jesus’ Name
SPEAKER_00And so today I wanted to uh share a message entitled Faith in the Name of Jesus. Faith in the name of Jesus. You know, God told me some years ago after we moved into this building. He said, preach and teach what you take for granted. And uh, you know, the power in the name of Jesus is not taught very often in denominational churches. You don't hear, you know, I mean it's obvious they don't lay hands on the sick in the name of Jesus, they don't cast out devils in the name of Jesus, they don't use the name of Jesus very much except to cuss. But there's power in the name of Jesus. And that that power is released by the faith in the name of Jesus. And uh this is the first notable miracle uh in the church recorded right here in Acts chapter 3. The very first one. And what is a notable miracle? Well, that you know, he says it's it kind of defines it. It's it's one, it's an it's a miracle that's widely known and undeniable. Everybody say widely known. Undeniable. I mean, I really believe the church is going to come into the place where not just the preachers and not just the uh people in the pulpit, but the believers are gonna rise up and they're gonna they're gonna begin to walk in such a power of the name of Jesus that we're gonna see notable miracles more and more and more. I'm telling you, we have to have it. It's not just revival, it's awakening. We need an awakening in this country and all around the world. I mean, you can have a revival without having an awakening. You can have a revival where everybody gets all helped up and hyped up, and we've had lots of those, but society didn't change. It continued to go downhill. Listen, God is getting ready to come back, Jesus is coming soon, and I believe notable miracles are in front of us if we'll just have faith in the name of Jesus and use it. Glory to God. You know, we've seen some notable miracles in Glorious Way Church. We've seen miracles, but then we've seen notable miracles. I'll take any miracle, but I'll tell you, a notable miracle has a power to affect a lot of folks. Some to the positive. And, you know, if you're religious, some to the negative. Well, which, you know, you can have it either way you want to go. I I think about when I think about a notable miracle, I think about a little 10-year-old girl whose grandmother came to the church and uh she had a two-inch medical file that said she had to have surgery. She was born with a hole in her heart. And for whatever reason, the doctors didn't feel like they could do her any good. I I can understand that because you're you've got a little heart when you're a baby, and your little heart when you're five and six, but they estimated that about ten years old her heart was going to be about as big as it needed to be, and they were gonna repair that hole if they could. And of course, technology increased in that length of time. So it came to pass, you know, what with the grandmother was coming to this church, and and uh the surgery is is looming, and the doctors tell them said, Now, look, you know, there's no guarantee in this surgery, it's very risky, it's gonna be 12, 14 hours surgery. She might not survive, but she definitely won't survive with that hole. And and so we're kind of we we've got to do the surgery, and uh, you know, there's no guarantee that surgery's gonna be successful, and there's no guarantee that she'll live through it. Now that sounds kind of rough. So, grandmother, she wanted, she wanted prayer, so she was volunteering and she brought her granddaughter during the week. And Gladys and I went out and she asked, you know, if we would pray, and so Gladys and I, right out there in the lobby, laid our hands on her in the name of Jesus and declared healing and health over her. And so then, you know, the end of the week, it's scheduled for early the next week, they begged the doctor, Doctor, we believe in miracles. We believe our our daughter or granddaughter is healed, please run some more tests, run it run another test. Before you, before we, you know, have this terrible surgery, let's let's make sure that nothing, you know, that nothing's changed. Well, they did the test and nothing was different. It was whole there. He said, No, we have to have the surgery. I, you know, I know you're disappointed. And they were, they were bummed out. I said, No, God's not through. Let's let's place our faith in the word. Don't worry about what the doctor says. All he can do do is report what the natural says. But God deals with what? Supernatural things. So, anyway, they had the surgery. They went in, you know, the doctor said, now this is a long surgery, and I'm gonna send a nurse out every hour on the hour to give you a report. So you don't we should be sitting here in the surgical waiting room, you know, without any any knowledge of what's happening. We'll send a nurse out every hour to give you a report. So mother and grandmother sat out there, and about 45 minutes later, here comes the doctor out the door. The doctor, not the nurse, the doctor, the surgeon came out. And oh, their heart fell. They thought, oh my God. They, you know, the devil told them it was the worst. The devil told them she died on the table. But the but he could tell how crestfallen they were, and he held his hand up. He said, he said, I just don't know what to tell you. Something told me to run one more test. Something told me. Something told me. No, the Holy Ghost told me. Run one more test. And they ran what is known as a TEE, the transesophageal electrocardiogram. I've had a few of those. I know what that's like. You just, of course, she's asleep now. She's already under sedation. And they just drop a probe down her throat, and it takes a picture of a live electrocardiogram with her heart beating of the back side of the heart, which is where the hole was. You couldn't really see it from the front side. You had to go to the back side to see it. He said, When I saw that electrocardiogram, the hole is not there. You got your miracle. You can take your little girl home today. Come on. Glory to God. Think about all the doctors and nurses and medical people in that operating room and in that hospital. Oh, glory to God. Widely known. Two inches thick, medical, two inches thick medical record said she had to have the surgery, and she didn't have to have the surgery. Last time I heard she was 15 or 16 playing soccer at her high school. Come on, let's lift our hands, Lord. We thank you for notable miracles. And we know it's the name of Jesus through faith in that name that has made this child whole and given her this perfect soundness. Hallelujah.
How Jesus Received The Name
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_00Glory to God. It's the name of Jesus, is what the temple rulers tried to stop. They forbade them to teach and preach in that name, and they just didn't listen. They kept on. See, religion has no answer for the power in that name. Demons have no answer for the power that's in that name. Glory to God. So when did Jesus receive that name? And uh, you know, in Matthew 28, 18, after the resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples and he said, All power in heaven and earth is given unto me. All authority. That word power there is exodia. All authority in heaven and earth is given unto me. Go ye therefore. He delegated his authority. Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations. See, I don't believe, or I don't believe awakening can happen. The awakening that we're praying for can happen without disciples. You can have crusade after crusade. You can have a bunch of people saved, and that's not going to change society. What do you have when you have a bunch of people saved? Well, you've got a bunch of baby Christians that require a whole lot of care. But what do we need in society? We need disciples that are empowered to use the name of Jesus everywhere. That's going to bring about a change. And so he said, Go into all the world, make disciples of every nation, and uh teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded thee, and baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. Baptize them. And so, you know, in Mark, it's the same, it's the same event, but Mark worded it a little different. In Mark 16, he said, Go into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature. Him that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. And he that believeth not shall be damned. Or condemned. And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name they shall cast out demons. And so forth. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. You know, you go back up, there's no commas or anything like that, no paragraphs in the original document, so it could be said like this: These signs shall follow them that believe in my name. They shall lay hands on the sick. See, there's something about believing in that name and having faith in that name. I mean, it's not a magic word like Simon Says. You ever play Simon Says? Oh, these long trips. I remember one long trip all the way from Houston to Denver to see my dad's uncle, you know, and the whole family's in the car, you know, for. So I have a younger brother and two older sisters, and they're sitting three abreast, and my mother uh rigged up a sling, and I was in a hammock across the back doors. It hooked into the back window uh trail there, and I was swinging, you know, right in right over their laps. Oh, they did not like it. I mean, they had to put up with me right there in their face the whole trip. And we would play Simon says, you know, Simon says this, Simon's, you know, and you and then you you get you get eliminated if you don't say Simon says. But I'll tell you, it's not Simon says, it's not some magic word, it's the name of Jesus. So when did he receive that name? Well, it had to be after the resurrection. After he had defeated Satan. And uh in fact, in John 20, verse 17, he appeared to Mary, and Mary tried to touch him. He said, Touch me not. Touch me not. Now, you know, go and tell uh the disciples that I am ascending to my father and your father and to my God and your God. So what was the significance of that ascending? See, that was that that happened right after the resurrection. What was he doing? He was taking his blood and depositing it at the mercy seat or at the throne of God. I mean, that's where the blood of Jesus is, and that's where he was taking it. She couldn't touch him because the blood, see, the blood could not be touched. And so he said, Don't touch me yet. Then later on, of course, they all touched him. You know, they uh you know, Thomas put his hand his fingers in the in the nail holes and put his hand in his side. They touched him. So it was something about that that ascension. And so um, so he he received that name, and in Mark 16 and Matthew 28, he gave the church the exclusive right and uh to use the name of Jesus. Only the church has the right to use it. And so, the greatness of that name. And so the Bible tells us just what all was involved in him receiving that name. The first one I want to see is Philippians chapter 2. Let's turn over there real quick. The greatness of the name of Jesus. He didn't just it didn't just appear, pop. It was something, it was on purpose. Philippians chapter 2, verse 9. Wherefore, God, see, it's let's go back to verse 8. Being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. But we know what happened after the cross. He was risen from the dead. And God highly exalted him. Well, wouldn't that be highly exalting to raise him from hell? You can't get more exalted than being raised up from hell. God highly exalted him and gave and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. And of things. Now the word things is italicized, it doesn't uh appear in the original documents, but what it implies is uh the name of Jesus, every knee should bow of things which are which are situations, circumstances, problems, mountains. It also means words. Maybe someone has lied about you, maybe someone has said terrible things to you. The name of Jesus is above those words, those words have to bow their knee to that name. And it means beings. And where are these beings in three worlds? Above the earth, on the earth, and under the earth. And now he's not talking about heaven where God is, he's talking about the heavenlies where principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, wicked spirits and the heavenlies are holding influence. Now their thrones have been destroyed since Jesus rose from the dead and defeated the devil, but they still occupy that place for the rest of the world that don't know it. Even some people in the church are under the influence of these evil spirits because they don't know the power in the name of Jesus. And so it was given. Wherefore, God has highly exalted and given him. In other words, he conferred on him the name of Jesus. Who did that? The Father. The Father did it. So his name was conferred upon him. Alright, and then the next one is found over in Colossians chapter 2. A few more pages to the right, verse uh 15. And talking about Jesus and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it or in himself. Another version says he led a train of vanquished foes. When he defeated the devil and the demon powers, just like a Roman general who would go out in a foreign land and conquer a foreign nation. They would have a wonderful procession and parade going back into Rome. And in the procession, you know, you had the general, you know, with his with his uh ivy wreath around his head, you know, and a big majestic, and all the officers and their their army is marching, and then they bring the animals and all the different things from the conquered territories, all the weird-looking animals and stuff, and and then trailing behind that are the prisoners of war that are chained and naked. And everybody's lined up on the side watching this. And so that's exactly the picture that the Holy Ghost wants us to get of the devil and demon powers, how Jesus as a conquering, as the conquering Lord and Savior and King of kings, He He defeated the devil and He led them in a trail of vanquished foes all the way down in the bosom of Abraham and paraded them by the Old Testament saints and unlocked them, and they went to heaven. I mean, he went all through the angels. All the angels saw them defeated. I'm telling you, every time you use the name of Jesus and faith in that name, it reminds the devil he's defeated. He's been vanquished. He's been rendered irrelevant. We need to quit talking about the devil so much. So Jesus achieved that name by conquest. By conquest. So it was conferred upon him by the Father. He got it by conquest, beating the devil. And then the last one over is in Hebrews, chapter 1. I'll just read all five verses. God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake into time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds, who being the brightness of his glory, the Father's glory, and the express image of the Father's person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high, being made so much better than the angels. See, that's a whole theme of the book of Hebrews. Jesus is better. He's better than the angels, he's better than Moses, better than Aaron, better than all. And so being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance attained a more excellent name than they. Everybody say he inherited his name. Praise God. So let's look at something else.
The Name As Our Identity
SPEAKER_00Ephesians chapter 3. Because here's the thing I want you to get a hold of today. No extra charge. For this jewel. This will change your life when you get a hold of it. A lot of people going to church today, they don't have any idea about it. Ephesians chapter 3. It's one of Ephesians' prayers. In verse 13, wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. So he's talking to the Ephesians. He's had a lot of trouble, a lot of tribulations, and he wants to make sure that they don't get disheartened. He wants to make sure. I mean, he's their father in the faith. He established the book of the church at Ephesus when he met the, you know, uh the twelve. Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Well, we never heard of the Holy Ghost. And so he got them saved, got them baptized in water, got them baptized in the Holy Ghost. And they all spoke in tongues. That was the first beginning of the church at Ephesus. So he's praying for them. He said, For this cause, see, that you don't get discouraged. For this cause, I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. The family of God is named with the name of Jesus. It's our family name. It's who you are. It's not just a name you use, it is who you are. See, I mean, until you get a hold of this, you're going to feel intimidated by the kind of thing you face, whether it's in your personal life or maybe on behalf of somebody else. I mean, you know, by the time I could, Gladys and I could lay hands on a little girl that was born with a hole in her heart, it didn't really impress me her condition. Why? Because I got this in my spirit. That's what I know what Jesus can do, and I know what faith in the name of Jesus can do. I know what the laying on of hands can do. Come on, lift her hand right now. Glory to God. It's my identity. His name is my identity now. I used to be a grinder, but I mean, as far as the spirit realm, I grinder doesn't mean anything. It's Jesus. That's why people get all hung up on their, you know, all their DNA and their heritage, and they want to know where grandpa and grandma. You know, it's irrelevant. When you're born again, that's the family you really need to exalt. Hallelujah. So all the family of God has that name. It's for us, and it's our new name. In Christ, then we inherited and we were conferred upon, and by conquest, we got that great name. I mean, it's just as if we did everything that Jesus did. We're in Him. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit with the Lord. I say this all the time, and I know people kind of don't understand it, but you're the only Jesus most people are going to ever see. That's how real that name is. We're named, we're that's our identity. We're one with him. We're not him, but we're one with him. He's the head, but we're the body. Is your head and body separated? No. Like we established a couple of weeks ago, Jesus can do nothing without the church, and the church can't do anything without him. We're joined. And so we're, you know, your head doesn't have a different name than your body. Are y'all with me now? I want you to get a hold of this. So, in God's, in God's economy, in God's way of thinking, every one of us, when we got saved, we got exalted out of darkness into light. Amen. We got baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Ghost. Amen. Now we're one with Him. And we were given the family name. We're no longer what we were. We're new creatures, never before existed, a new species of being that never before. I mean, you know, you got the same body, you got the same brain tissue, but let me tell you something. Your spirit is made in the image and likeness of God, and in God's economy and God's sight, you did everything Jesus did. You went to hell and suffered. You were raised from the dead, you conquered the devil. And God has highly exalted you and given you a name. Woo! Hallelujah! Oh, Pastor, I don't know. Yes, quit doubting and start believing. I didn't make this up. The Bible says it. Faith in the name of Jesus. To have faith in the name of Jesus is to have faith in God's word and vice versa. You know, Brother Hagin was pastored for 12 years and then, you know, realized that, you know, God visited was visitation Jesus in between the years of 1950 and 1963, Jesus appeared to him eight times. And one of those times he said, You've entered the first phase of your ministry. And uh Brother Hagin said, First phase? I pastored for 12 years, but just now they're getting a first. He said, Well, I never called you to pastor, I allowed you to pastor, but I thought you know, oh, that's gotta be hard to hear, you know? That 12 years you pastored and it wasn't God's will for you to pass, it wasn't God's perfect will. He said, I allowed you to do it, but I mean that's not what you're called. He said, I want you to go and teach my people faith.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00Teach my people faith. He said, My people are not missing it on what they believe, but they're missing it primarily on what they say. And you're gonna have to preach three times and teach three times as much on what to say as you do on what to believe. All those years ago, I mean, he he spent the last, I don't know, 55, some odd years teaching everybody faith. And one of the things that Brother Hagin said about faith, we need to have faith in God. Yeah, that's that faith in God. Some people don't. Some people deny God. No, faith in God, faith in God's word or faith in the integrity of the word. Like this, you know, you find out what the word says about your situation. See, I tell people when you've got a problem or a situation or a mountain or whatever, trouble, go to the word and find out what the word says and then say this. Well, you know, the word says it, I believe it, that settles it. Some people never get settled on what they believe. They're this and that, and back and forth. And you never get anything. James said, you never get anything, being double-minded. So when you have faith in the integrity, faith in the word of God, it settles whatever the issue is. Then you need faith in the blood of Jesus. Did that blood accomplish something? We sang about it this morning. I'm running out the grave, glory to God. Oh, I love those songs. Faith in the blood. Well, you know, I'm so ashamed. Well, let the blood change your opinion of yourself. Yeah, we're all, we've got flesh that has to be dealt with, but once you confess your sin, God is faithful and just to forgive you your sin, cleanse you of all unrighteousness. We don't just have forgiveness, we have remission. Do you realize what remission is? It means the hard drive has been formatted. There's no place for, I mean, the cloud disappeared. The memory of your sin is not in God's memory. He doesn't see it. So you shouldn't. You shouldn't be burdened with guilt and shame. Once you confess your sin, God wipes it all out. Everybody say, faith in the blood. See, faith in the word, faith in God. Amen. And then we need faith in the name, which is what I'm talking about this morning. We need to have faith in the name. And then he exercised, and he really zeroed in on the on the last one: faith in the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. Don't forget you're not in this thing by yourself. I mean, he's on the inside of you. He's the comforter, he's the strengthener, he's the standby, he's the advocate, he's the intercessor, he's there, he's your ally. He's on your side as long as you're on his side. But we've got to stay on God's side for him to be on our side. Or is this helping you then? In fact, in Revelation 19, 13, it says, His name shall be called the Word of God. So faith in the name is faith in all the all the power of the word is contained in the name. That's why we don't have to pray long prayers. That's why we don't have to go on and on and go from Genesis to revolution or revelation and pray everything, every scripture under the sun when we're laying hands on people.
Real Stories Of Healing Prayer
SPEAKER_00It's just, you know, I remember the night, it was the second night I'd been saved the night before. It was Friday night I got saved. Saturday night went to a full gospel businessman meeting. And after the meeting, we went to my mother's, picked up my mother. My mother had osteoporosis and pain all the time. Terrible pain. She couldn't get comfortable, no matter, you know, standing, sitting, or laying. It just was pain all the time because her bones were soft and she pinching nerves, I guess. I don't know really what all was wrong with her. But she was 70 years old, and I was concerned that she was just going to give up and die because of the pain. And so on the way to her, uh, we had a couple that were believers and we happened to go to Lakewood Church. They're not, they're not uh pastors, they're not a ministry, they don't have cards, they're just believers. And she said, Liz, when we get to your house, I want to lay hands on you. She said, Oh, save it for my sister. My mother's sister was in the nursing home, paralyzed. Save it for my sister. She said, Oh, God's got plenty to go around. I'll pray for her some other time, but I want to lay hands on you tonight. So we got in the mother's in our mother's house, and my sister and my brother-in-law were there, Gladys and I was there, and uh, and this other couple, and she simply just laid her hands on my mother's, on either side of her, like this, on her face, and just said, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. See, no prayer, no hollering at the devil, just in the name of Jesus. Slowly my mother's hands went up like this, you know, it just looked like a string, just pulled them up like that. Had her hands straight up in the air, and after about 10 repetitions of the name of Jesus, she fell out, nobody caught her, hit the floor. And my brother-in-law was sitting right next in the entry hall, kind of sitting on a little uh chair, and he, oh no, mom! And I said, Oh, yeah, a little faith. She she got up healed, she was totally healed. And later, I mean, a few months later, she went to Jerusalem on a trip that Lakewood had sponsored and got baptized in the Jordan River. I mean, she I mean, she was healed and saved as a Catholic woman at 70. And it was in the name of Jesus. And then Gladys was next, and she had had horrible sinus trouble, sinus headache that night. She didn't even feel like being there. I drug her to the meeting, and I mean that night, same thing in the name of Jesus. And she was fell out and she was instantly healed. Come on, lift your hands right now. The name of Jesus. You know, you've got these genealogy databases, and the blood of a person is tied to their name. So you, you know, you do a do a swab and you can mail it in, get a DNA to one of these genealogies, you can trace your genealogy, you can find out where you're, you know, where you came from and all that. Also, what's happening now is that people find out that they've got brothers and sisters they didn't know about. That can be kind of controversial in a half in a family. If a child was born out of wedlock and and and it it's your half-sister or half-brother, I mean, it can be kind of dicey. But your identity is linked to your blood, isn't it? I mean, you know, they can they've got stuff now to solve crimes. They can put, you know, not everybody that commits a crime is in the crime database with the FBI. Not everybody, so but but now that they have these other databases, they they're able to search those databases and they can find the DNA and they can find relatives of yours. Of the cr of the perpetrator. They can find the perpetrator's cousins, aunts, uncles, and they can trace around and find that person by investigating the family. Something else they can do, they can generate a almost like a photograph of your face based on your DNA. That's how described the DNA is. It describes your being, it describes your appearance, it describes everything about you. What DNA have we got? We've got the DNA of heaven. We've got the DNA of our Heavenly Father. See, I'm talking about your name now. It's your name. It's not just like, oh, I get to use it. No, it's you. You're using your family name. I hope this is this thing. Is this sinking in? It ought to give us great boldness. So to have faith in his blood is to have faith in his name. So when you hurl the name of Jesus against demons, against sickness, against mountains and circumstances, all the authority of the word and all the authority of the blood are behind it.
Pretenders, Authority, And Final Charge
unknownHallelujah.
SPEAKER_00Acts 19 talks about the sons of Skeva. They were Jewish exorcists. And they saw all the glorious things that Paul was doing in the name of Jesus. I mean, he had handkerchiefs or aprons from his body, and you know, and they were laid on people and they were healed and they were delivered and all. And boy, they wanted, they wanted to do that. So they they they're casting out demons under the old covenant, which was rendered irrelevant after Jesus arrived on the scene. There's no such thing as that now. But they tried to do it, and so they had a young man that was had demons, and they said, In the name of Jesus, that Paul preaches. And the young men says, Well, you know, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you? And the young man in whom the demons were jumped on them and they fled naked and wounded. You know, they were no match for the for the name that Paul preached. No, we have the, it's our family name now. And and when the news of that spread through the whole region, I mean the fear of God spread everywhere. I mean reverence for God, the difference between a dead religion and living faith. Are y'all with me now? Acts 4.12 says there's no other name given among men whereby they can be saved. And saved means healed, delivered, protected, provided for, saved is just one aspect. I mean, there's no other name under heaven given to men. And we get the absolute right and privilege to be named by that name and to use that name. Glory to God. No notable miracle can ever occur apart from that name. And faith in that name. We're gonna have to have a revelation. That's why I'm preaching this. I take it for granted, but man, I don't I don't want you to take it for granted. I want you to operate in it. It's the believer's ministry that's got to blossom. The believer's ministry has got to increase. They have that old hymn, all hail the power of Jesus' name. Let angels prostrate fall. I like to say it this way: all hail the power of Jesus' name. Let demons prostrate fall. Let sickness prostrate fall, let lack prostrate fall, let mountains prostrate fall. I mean, all hail the power of Jesus' name. Faith in the name of Jesus. Come on, lift your hands and receive today. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Come on, let's shout a little bit. I feel like shout. Whoa. Oh, hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank you, Jesus.
