This message, “Crossing Over: Lessons Learned,” explores how God reveals Himself as the ultimate Waymaker, guiding His people from seasons of bondage into new beginnings. Drawing from the story of the Exodus, the speaker highlights key lessons for stepping into what God has prepared taking everything meant for your next season, trusting God’s direction even when it looks unfamiliar, and staying anchored in His presence. Listeners are challenged to resist fear, stop complaining, and instead respond with faith, obedience, and praise. Ultimately, the message reminds us that every breakthrough is preparation for the next, and that God is actively working to remove obstacles and lead us into a life marked by continual “new things.”

Amen. Before you take your seat, turn to your neighbor and say, That is who my God is. Amen. He's all of that. Amen. Amen. You may be seated. God bless you. Amen. Wow. I gotta tell you, Pastor Jay, y'all set me up this evening. I had no idea that was gonna be the last song on the song list, and it just takes us, ushers us right into what I want to share with you tonight. Did you know that God is a way maker? Tell your neighbor, I smell a setup. Our God is a way maker. And you know, for the past few weeks, there's been messages that have just been coming across the waves. Pastor's been preaching, Pastor James has been preaching, Pastor Claire's been preaching, Pastor Jay's been preaching, uh, and messages have just been coming across. You know, the first part of the year we received a prophetic word from the Lord through our pastor that 2026 was the year of new things. How many of you remember that word? How many of you are standing on that word, believing that word with great expectation? Come on, raise your hands up. Let me see how many of you are expecting God to do new things to you. And so as those messages came across, last last Sunday night, Pastor Jay preached a message on four things to keep your faith strong in order to cross over. And I woke up Monday morning with just things just buzzing, just revelation, the word just buzzing, just buzzing, just buzzing. And I got to the office and I told Pastor Jay, I say, I think I've got part two of your message. And then I get here tonight, and and and we're singing and we're worshiping, and then all of a sudden we get to this song, and the last song on the list is Waymaker. And God is a Waymaker. He is absolutely a Waymaker. And so tonight I want to talk to you a little bit about the Waymaker. I want to talk to you a little bit our our message tonight, and let me kind of set it up for you. In the book of Exodus, there is a specific story that talks absolutely about a way maker. And we know the children of Israel had been in years and years and years and years and years of a hard time, and they were mistreated, they were beaten, they were abused, they were treated poorly, and they've been crying out to God, crying out to God, and finally God heard them, and He was going to bring deliverance through Moses. You know who I'm talking about, right? And so God begins to deal with Moses and give Moses specific instructions on what to do. And so Moses and Aaron they go before Pharaoh and they begin to pronounce, thus says the Lord, let my people go. God was making a way. And so they tell Pharaoh what the Lord says, and Pharaoh, you know the story, his heart's got hard, his heart got heart, his heart got hard. Who is this God? I don't even know God. His heart got heart. And so God said, Well, I can show you better than I can tell you. You ever hear that say that that phrase, I can show you better than I can tell you? When I was growing up, my mom would say things to me, and I look at it like what? She said, Well, I can show you better than I can tell you if you don't get in that room and clean it up. And so God began to deal with Pharaoh, and he said, I'm gonna show you Pharaoh better than I can tell you. And so we know in Exodus chapter 7 through 11, there were 10 plagues that God released upon the Egyptians. He was showing them better than he could tell them. You won't hear me, so I'm gonna show you. And so tonight I want to talk about our message title. If you're taking notes, our message title is Crossing Over Lessons Learned. How many of you know we can we can use lessons? How many of you like to learn lessons? You know, the Bible is full of information that if you spend time in and let the Holy Spirit speak to you, it is full of information that will help you learn some things. And I like to go to the Word to learn some things so I don't make some of those same mistakes. Anybody know what I'm talking about? And so, chapter 11 through chapter 7 through 11, we see where God's judgment was released upon the Egyptians. The first plague was the water became blood, the second plague was frogs, the third plague was lice, the fourth plague were flies, not fries, the fifth plague was all of the livestock died, uh, the sixth plague were boils. Boy, I tell you what, listen, I'd have I'd have gotten it after the second lesson. The seventh plague was hell. Can you imagine hell falling and it's so big that it's killing any and everything that's outside? Talk about a headache. The eighth plague was locusts that came in and ate up everything green, just stripped all of the vegetation in the land. Of course, then plague nine was darkness. But you know what I like about the Waymaker? There was darkness in Egypt, but there was light in Goshen. You know, God is still making a difference. There's darkness in the world, but there's light in his people, in his church. And then, of course, the tenth plague was the death of all of the firstborn Egyptians. And you know, of course, through that the Passover was established and God gave specific instructions to the children of Israel. But I want to start in Exodus chapter 12. Let's pick this story up in chapter 12, verse 31. And then it says, Then he, being Pharaoh, called Moses and Aaron by night. He finally got it. He finally realized God could show him better than he could tell him. Then he, Pharaoh, called to Moses and Aaron by night and said, Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel, and go serve the Lord as you have said. Now, a lot of the a lot of the hard times that he had experienced could have been avoided if he would have obeyed the first time. I mean he didn't believe in first time obedience. Amen. And so as I begin to read that, I begin to see some things here, and I want to share some points with you tonight. The first point is this when Pharaoh finally got it, and he finally relented and said to Moses, Take your people, take your livestock, he said, get out of here. And so as you prepare to cross over into the new thing that God is going to do for you this year, or let me rephrase that, as you cross over into the things that God, the new things God is doing for you this year, there's some things I want to point out. The first thing is this as you prepare to cross over into your new, take everything that's supposed to go with you. Don't leave anything behind. In other words, when you finally feel that release, when you finally feel that time to move, make sure you take everything you're supposed to take with you. Don't leave anything. Exodus chapter 12, verse 35. And he goes on and says, Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked for the from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. Say plundered. And as I was reading that, it occurred to me that you know, God is a God who keeps good books. And the children of Israel were people of affluence. That back in the day, they they they were well off. And then when the Egyptians came in and enslaved them, they stripped them of all of that. Well, God didn't forget about that. As a matter of fact, God says, when I bring you out, not only am I gonna bring you out and repay you, but I'm gonna repay you with interest. Say interest. Did you know that God is still repaying with interest today? Amen. And so the next thing that I saw here as I was reading is this repayment or recompense will come with the accidents as you move to your new thing. In other words, as you begin to move into the place, maybe from a place where you've been bound, maybe from a place where you've been stuck, maybe from a place that you've been, you've you're not, you know that that time there is up. I don't know what it is. It could be a relationship, it could be a sickness, it could be a financial situation, whatever it is. Know that as you begin to move, the way maker is gonna cause recompense to come. Proverbs chapter 13, verse 22 says this a good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. And so God fully intends on that wealth. How many of you know God is serious about this wealth transference thing? Just as he is serious about this word in 2026 that 2026 is the year of new things, he's serious about this wealth transference. He's serious about the church being in a position where the world looks at the church and says, Wow. Why? Because he's gonna get the glory. Amen. So let's go back to Exodus chapter 13, verse 17, and we're gonna pick the story up. And it says this, it says, Then it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near, for God says, Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt. So God led the people around by way of the wilderness to the rest of the Red Sea, and the children of Israel went up and ordered went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt. Here's another point I want to make. First of all, we see God is moving. He's already moved on Pharaoh, he's brought judgment to Pharaoh, and he's not done with Pharaoh yet. He brought judgment upon the Egyptians, he's caused them to finally leave, and not only did they leave, but they left with pay, with interest. And so here's the other thing that I want to point out. It says that God left, when God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, here's a point. God's pathway or route, when you're moving into your new place, when you're going to your new season, God's path or route out of the old into the new will be different from what you think it to be. You may have a preconceived idea on how you're supposed to go, what how you're supposed to go next, which way you're supposed to go about it, how you're supposed to go about it. But listen, allow the Lord to lead you, allow the spirit to lead you. Why is that? We see here in the scripture, he says, I don't want them to get over there and they see war and want to turn around or see the threat of war. He knows what's ahead. He knows, God knows what you need to avoid. God's way or his route is the best and only way. There is no other way. His way is the best way, it's the only way. And so, how do you know you're gonna you're gonna go the right way, the best way, the only way? You are led by what? The Holy Spirit. You have a helper, and so you follow Holy Ghost leading. Psalm 32, verse 8 says this I will instruct you. Who's so who's who's this who's this talking? God's talking. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with my eye. Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 through 6. You all know this. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, and all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. In other words, that is not the time to determine which way you're gonna go based upon how you feel, or based upon past experiences, or based upon what you think you know. How many of you know God is smarter than than than than you? Aren't you glad he's smarter than you? I'm glad he's smarter than me. And so make sure that you are be, in other words, be open to a route change. Have you ever been on the road traveling and all of a sudden you're traveling by way of navigation, and all of a sudden navigation will say, route change your head? And you're thinking, but wait a minute, I've been set on this, I'm looking forward to just driving like this and just going straight down the highway. Now you're telling me to get off the highway when I really want to go straight down the highway. How many of you know navigation is smarter than you? Ask me how I know. I've tried it. I remember one time driving on the road and navigation told me to get off, and I said, You don't know what you're talking about, I'm gonna keep going. You know, these computers they don't know everything, and you know, I got stuck in traffic. Well, the Holy Spirit is the same way. When you get that check, when you get that inner witness, when you hear that still small voice says, Exit here. Go this way, turn left. Not your wife's husband. Honey, you need to turn here. Come on, guys, y'all know what I'm talking about. You know, the front seat if you're married is usually reserved for your human GPS. Anybody know what I'm talking about? See, I can pick up my wife tonight because we came in separate cars. I don't need a ride home. But allow the Holy Spirit to be your GPS. Allow your Holy, allow the Holy Spirit to direct you. Be open to a new path, be open to a new way, be open to new direction. Why? Because your father knows better than you. The way maker is at work. He's already charted out your path. His word says, Before the foundation of the earth, I knew you. I knew everything about you and everything that was going to happen from the time you arrive until the time you leave. God already knows. Wow. Exodus chapter 13, verse 20. It says, So they journeyed from Secoth and encamped in Ethan at the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that as to go by day and night, he did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people. Here's something else I observed. God's presence was constant. His presence was constant then, his presence is constant now. Can I say that again? God's presence was constant then, his presence is constant now. In other words, he was with them, he's with you, he's with me, he's with us. Now, in order to reap the benefits of that, there's something you have to do. You have to stay in his presence. If we're going to receive the consistency of his presence, we've got to make ourselves readily and consistently available to him. In this season of new, in this season, as we're walking into that place and moving into that place and being led into that place that God has for us, this season requires constant communication. How do we communicate with them constantly? Through prayer, through time in the word. Sometimes you just need to go and just sit and be quiet. And just wait before him. David was good at that. Lord, I waited patiently. We read that all throughout the Psalms where he just waited upon the Lord. How many of you have waited before the Lord lately? If you haven't, I want to encourage you to do that. Just go and wait before the Lord. Don't get in a hurry. Lord, I've got 10 minutes. Let me set my timer. In a society where we live, where everybody's busy, busy, busy, go, go, go. Sometimes you just gotta wait before. Put yourself in that position to stay in his presence, to stay in constant communication. And during that place, he'll lead you, he'll guide you, he'll instruct you. Psalm 91 says it this way He who dwells in this secret place shall abide. In this season, we gotta live in his presence. We gotta live there. I know we live in a body, live in a house, but we gotta live in his presence. And we haven't seen it get crazy yet, but it's about to get crazy. It's crazy, but it's gonna get crazier. And Isaiah 26, 3 says, and I will keep him who you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stayed on him, if you dwell in the secret place, if you stay in constant communication with him. So his presence was consistent then. His presence will be consistent and constant now. Exodus chapter 14, starting at verse 1. Now they finally they've left Egypt. Them and all of their people and all of their stuff. Now, I I gotta, you know, I was reading this and I gotta think Pharaoh really was not that smart. You mean to tell me you're gonna let all of those people and all of their livestock and all of their stuff go just to go worship the Lord? No, you come on now. Really? You think they coming back? I'm just asking for a friend. I mean, like Pharaoh. Whoa, yo, bro, you you really think they're coming back? And you know his wife was you know they not coming back. Chapter 14, verse 1. So the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pai Harod, between Mikdal and the sea opposite Baal Zephron. You shall camp before it by the sea, for Pharaoh will say to the children of Israel, they are bewildered by the land, the wilderness had closed them in. Then I will harden. Underline, harden, then I will harden, underline that, because that gives us some insight on who God is. See, God wasn't done with Pharaoh, he wasn't done, he wasn't done. I will harden Pharaoh's heart so that he will pursue them and I will gain honor. In other words, all of the time that he dissed me, who is his God? All of the time that he dissed me, I'm gonna gain honor. And not just him, but all of his army. In other words, all of the people that mistreated you, that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord, and they did so. In other words, here's another something, here's another observation. God has a plan to deal with your trouble. He had a plan then, he has a plan now. Whatever that may represent in your life, whatever that may be, whatever is preventing you from moving out of the place that you're in to go to the place that you're to go to, God's got a plan to deal with it. And he's going to deal, I will harden his heart. He's going to deal with whatever is hindering you. Can I say that again? Somebody missed an opportunity to shout right there. God is going to deal with the trouble or whatever the trouble represents. If it's a financial thing that's hindering you from moving to the next place, God's gonna deal with it. If it's sickness in your body, God's gonna deal with it. If it's a relationship, God's gonna deal with it. He's got a plan. And he will reveal the plan at the appointed time. So, what do you do in the meantime, chill? Rest. Trust, stay in faith. Now, it may not all happen at one time. How many of you know God likes to operate on a need-to-know basis? That just drives me up, drives me a little bonkers. Why? Because I like to know the whole thing. And I honestly believe God doesn't let us know the whole thing because he knows we'd mess it up. Come on, don't be looking at me like that. I would never mess it up. Yes, you would. He knows that. I believe God does things in easy stages. You see that with the children of Israel, how he moved them in easy stages. It was a phased approach. Why? I said, God has a plan to deal with your trouble. Romans 12, 19 says, Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place, or or rather give place to wrath, for it is written, vengeance is mine. I will repay, says the Lord. In other words, the Lord said, I got this. I got you, and I got this, and I'm gonna get him. Daddy is serious about his kids. Now, you know, there's only two things that I could possibly go to jail for. Can I just be honest with you here? One is my wife, another's my kids. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Don't be looking at me like that. Y'all know what I'm talking about? But God says, Vengeance is mine, not yours. In other words, God doesn't need you stepping out of the kingdom to deal with it. He's gonna deal. He doesn't need you saying, excuse me, Lord, He's like, get back. I got this. I got it. I will repay. I will repay. He's showing us that he's what he's going to do. He said, Oh, bring him on over. Let him come this way. Let him think this. Obviously, they didn't get enough of when they were with ten plagues. Ten plagues. He's got a plan. Exodus chapter 14, pick up at verse 5. Now I was told to the king of Egypt that the people had fled, and that the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this? In other words, he had to put the help wanted signs up. Help wanted. There was nobody there to do all of the hard work. Nobody there to mistreat. Nobody there to abuse any longer. Why have we let Israel go from serving us? So he, Pharaoh, made his chariot and took his people with him. Also, he took 600 choice chariots and all of the chariots of Egypt with captains over everyone. 600 chariots. He finally wakes up and says, Oh, they're all gone. Oh, snap. Is that what you said? They're all gone. And their people. And Miss Pharaoh said, Now, I told you they weren't coming back. They're gone. Six hundred choice chariots, all the chariots of Egypt, with captains over every one of them. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh. In other words, God was true to his word. The wa maker said, Yeah, I told you I was going to do it, I'm gonna do it. Here hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel, and the children of Israel went out with boldness. Hmm. They're like, we're going. At this point, there's nothing you can do. We've seen what God can do. And even then, they still did, they still blew it. We're gonna see that in a minute. So the Egyptians pursued them. All the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, overtook them, camping by the sea beside Pai Herod before its bald Zephang. Now, here, notice phase two of God's plan in the judgment and to deal with the problem. Phase two. Verse 10. When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them so that were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. Here's another observation. Do not allow fear to influence how you see things. If you're gonna go into your new season and possess the land that God has for you and to receive all that he has in store for you, there are gonna be some times that the enemy is gonna present a picture that's gonna be scary. Can I say that again? We know he's a he we know the devil's a liar and he can't tell the truth, right? And so he's gonna present things in such a way that it's good, it could possibly scare you, but do not allow fear to influence how you see them. You're gonna have to look at things, circumstances, and situations through the eyes of faith. I love my pastor because he always says this when he hears it, it's not as bad as it looks. That's our confession at our house. Not as bad as it looks. It doesn't matter if half your face hang up, it's not as bad as it looks. It could be the whole face. Faith calls those things as as as calls those things that be not as though they were. Faith says, I'm gonna look beyond what I see right now as a circumstance. Pastor said it this morning. The symptoms were temporary. Boy, that message this morning was powerful. You can not only can you speak your way to health, you can speak your way to a better financial situation. Now you're gonna have to do some stuff with that, but you can start with speaking. You can start with knowing who you are, what you have, what's yours. I was walking the other day, and it just hit me as I was walking and praying, and I said, Father, I'm an heir. I'm an heir to the throne, I'm royalty. Can I get an attitude with that? I'm an heir. I'm royalty. Derek Teller, you're royalty. I'll give you a ride home, brother. Okay, and because I'm royalty, I will not allow fear to influence how I see things. If you're walking through it, if you're living your life, the just shall live by faith. Who's the just? That's me. That's you. If you're really living your life by faith, then faith affects what you see. Faith changes what you see. Well, you're just looking through rose-colored glasses. Well, he is the rose of Sharon. I'll just say that. Two times the children of Israel allowed fear to influence what they what they saw. Two times. The first time when Pharaoh rose up with his chariot, oh, Pharaoh's here to get us. Now it didn't matter that God had done all of those things to bring them out. They for a moment lost sight of that. Oh, that's good. They for a moment lost sight of that. Ten plagues he'd sent to bring them out. He'd already moved, even then he even told you, here's the plan. Here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna get it. He's gonna pay. But all of that went out the window when they saw Pharaoh and 600 chariots. Do not allow fear to influence what you see. The other time that the children of Israel allowed what they saw to influence what they said was when the 12 spies came back, and 10 of the 12 gave a bad report. Even though they had the evidence of the land of abundance, did you see it took two of them to carry the big old thing of grapes? Those were grapes on steroids. Oh, it is, but we're just grasshoppers. Don't do that, don't allow fear to influence how you see things. Verse 11. Then they said to Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Now, after everything that God had done and everything that Moses has done, this is how they repay him. Moses. Are you kidding us? You're joking, right? You brought us out here to get killed by faith. We couldn't die in Egypt, but you want to get us killed, you want us to die here in the wilderness. Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt saying, Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? These are lessons we can learn. They were on their way to a new thing. They were on their way to a new place. These were humans. For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than we should die in the wilderness. Really? Now, all of these years you've been crying out to God to deliver you, and now you're just backtracked, walking that back. Come on now. Look, if I was Moses, I said, just a minute, Pharaoh, take this one, this one, this one, all of them. Don't worry about it. Do not allow fear to influence what you say. Don't allow it. Why am I saying all of these things? Now listen, I know I'm I'm speaking to the folks that's listen, y'all are gonna get there, okay? But these are reminders, these are lessons we can learn, these are notes that we can take. These are observations. I believe this story is in the Bible for a bunch of different reasons, and one of the reasons is God knew we were gonna be in this season at this time. And this is an example. And if you're not locked in, if you're not solid, if you're not like Abraham fully persuaded that God is faithful to do what he's promised, what did he promise? 2026, the year of new things. And if you're not fully persuaded, these things will creep up on you. The devil's looking for a crack in the door. He's looking for the weak spot in your armor. Proverbs 18, 21. Pastor used this scripture this morning. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. In other words, you decide how it's gonna go. You decide. 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 8 through 11. I love this in the message Bible. I'm gonna read the translation from the message. It says this, keep a cool head, be cool. Stay alert. The devil is poised to pounce and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. In other words, he would like nothing better than to catch you off of your game. And how did he catch you off your game by what you say? By how you act. Oh, Pharaoh and his men are coming. Oh, we should we should have just stayed in Egypt. Maybe it wouldn't have been as painful there. Are you kidding me? What we have to understand, and we some we we say this all the time with our kids, especially, you need to understand words have power. And words can either shut the door or words can either open the door. You decide. Verse 13. And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will accomplish you for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again forevermore. Now, as I was reading that, I believe that is a word for today. I believe that is a prophetic declaration for today. Whatever the Egyptian represents is represent, however, that is represented in your life, the Lord is saying, stand still. But what you see today, you will not see again. Actually, what God was gonna do was done before then, but that was the guarantee right there. When Moses got that out of his mouth, he said, Listen, y'all can be afraid, but I'm telling you, stand still. Don't be afraid. See the salvation of the Lord, and he will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you will not see again, no more, forever. Now, how long is no more? No more. How long is forever? Forever. Whatever the trouble is, whatever the challenge is, whatever the obstacle is, you won't see it anymore. Somebody missed an opportunity. Praise the Lord right there. You won't see it anymore. New season, you won't see it anymore. New time, you won't see it anymore. Amen. You won't see it anymore. God is serious about you stepping into the new thing this year. You won't see what's been behind you anymore. But there's an observation here. And the observation is this whining distorts your vision and blurs your clarity. Wow. They couldn't see it. Moses had to say, stop and see, stop and see. Whining distorts your vision. Most of you know Flora and I's story. I'll tell it the Cliff Node version. We have two kids. Our kids are 10 years and 10 days apart. We had six miscarriages in nine years between the first one and the second one. And that last miscarriage about did me in. I know it about did her in, but it about did me in. And there were days I'm trying to be strong for her, and I am just tore up inside. And I'm in full-time ministry. I'm a pastor. I'm in full-time ministry. I'm encouraging everybody and praying for everybody. And boy, I tell you what, I get home, and hey, it was on them. Some man of God, you are, you can't even believe God for a son. But we were hurting. And I remember one morning in particular, I couldn't get the car to the garage quick enough. Got the car out of the garage, headed to the office, left the door down, and had to turn the corner and just cry. And I'm just bawling. And I'm just crying. And finally I heard the Lord say, Why are you crying? I literally, why are you crying? I'm like, what? Why are you crying? He said, You hadn't lost anything. Whining blurs your vision. Sure, it was a painful thing. Sure it was a difficult thing. It was a hard thing. But those children, that's treasure in heaven. And he said to me, You've not lost anything. They're with me. And you are not home yet. Wow. Whining. And that's not to say that we don't go through some difficult things. It's not to say we don't go through, but don't be a whiner, be a winner. Can I say that again? Don't be a whiner, be a winner. Stop whining and see. Listen, the minute you stop, you got to recognize the whining is there to keep you from seeing. And then there are times when you feel like you want to whine. Let me tell you what you need to do. You need to stop drop and praise. Sometimes you just got to take a praise break. Can I say that again? When you feel the urge to whine, don't whine, win. And how do you win? You gotta stop dropping praise. Now, some of you may be asking, well, what is a praise break? I'm gonna tell you, show you what a praise break is. Now, what does that do? That sends the devil in just a state of, oh my gosh, what am I gonna do? He's not whining, he's winning. Look, you get you one of them good blood songs, or one of them demon stumping, devil stumping songs, and you stop dropping praise. Don't whine, win. In other words, Moses says, Shut up. Sometimes you just gotta tell your flesh, shut up. Now I know as parents, we don't try to say that to the kids, but you can say it to your flesh, shut up. You're not in charge, you don't have a say. I know how you feel, but be quiet. Moses said, be quiet. God will fight for you today. God is at work right now. God was at that right now. He will, and he has. Let me say that again. God will because he has. I'm gonna say that again. God will because he has. He's has he has what? He's already won, he's already done it. The way makers already been there, he's already gone before you. He will because he has. God has a plan for the troublemaker. The troublemaker, the plan for the troublemaker is revealed in the middle of all that. The enemy that you see today, you won't see tomorrow. Uh oh, it's on now. Judgment has been announced. God is about to bring judgment on the trouble. God's about to deal with the trouble. If it's pain, God's dealing with it. If it's financial, God's dealing with it. If it's relational, God's dealing with it. He's serious about you crossing over. And whatever is standing in your way, the enemy that you see today, you will not see it tomorrow. Verse 14, the Lord will. Moses said, just in case you didn't get the memo, let me just reiterate it this way: the Lord will fight for you. He will fight for you. And you shall. You shall. You shall. Not that you might, not that you hope to, but you shall hold your peace. Wow. Wow. You mean I don't have to do the heavy lifting on this one? No, he says, I'm gonna fight. I got this. And you shall hold your peace. Go sit down. Dwell. Worship. We can do more like this than we can like this. As a matter of fact, do you know how you can put the devil on notice? Go low. Go low. What do I mean by that? He used to be a worship leader, didn't he? Now he's an unemployed worship leader, right? Can't get no benefits, right? So you want to antagonize the trouble and trouble of trouble? Go low. Worship. Worship like you've lost your mind. Well, you have if you worship. Well, the doctor just gave me a bad report. Worship. My bank account is double zero and I'm negative with worship. They just picked my child up and locked him up. Worship. My husband just told me he don't love me no more. Worship. I don't have a husband, but I just wanted to get that right. Worship. Worship. Why? Because you're crossing over. It doesn't matter if the devil throws the kitchen sink at you. Hook it up and use it. Come on. The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace. Underline, you shall hold. In other words, there is only one place for you to be. Holding your peace. Resting in him. Resting in his word. Why? Because Jesus has done it and won it. Can I say that again? Jesus has done it and won it. Verse 15. And the Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divided. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea, and I indeed, here he goes again, confirming what he's going to do. Confirming his word again what he's going to do. I got a plan, and boy, it's about to it's on. Pharaoh's about to be no more. He's got to go. I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and all of his army, his chariots, and all of his horsemen. What I like about God is this. God's got gonna let one problem, troublemaker, escape. Notice how God moved. Now the world would say one thing, but notice how God moved in the entire situation with over in Israel, over over in the Middle East, over in Iran. Well, I tell you what, we're in such a strategic time right now, and God is doing such incredible things. And notice the time and all this between Purim and what's coming up on the first Passover. Did you know that Ayatollah's part of his name was Haman? Part of his name was Haman. And what happened right before Purim when the Lord delivered the the the uh the the children of Israel when when Esther was on the scene? And Haman had tricked the king into the into a decree to destroy and to annihilate all of the Jews. God turned it around. He turned it around. I'm telling you, God is turning things around. Now, if he did that for over there, can you imagine what he's gonna do for his church? He's turning it around, and so stop whining. Notice the children of Israel had a part to play in this. What was the part? Move. God told Moses, stop crying, tell the children of Israel to move. If you're gonna cross over, you've got to move. You've got to do something. You've got a part to play. Well, Lord, I'm just gonna sit here and just wait. No, move. Whatever that looks like, move. Take a leap of faith. Take a step of faith. Move. If you're seeking restoration in a relationship, take a step, move. If you're seeking financial deliverance, take a step and move. Listen, one of the best things you could do right now is sow. Well, I can't afford to sow. You can't afford not to. I can't afford to give. You can't afford not to. Move. Cross over. Then he said something else to Moses. Stretch out your rod. In other words, exercise your authority. Jesus said, All power's been given to me, and I give it to you. Use what you got. Well, Lord, I just don't know what to do. And he said, What you got in your hand? What's in your hand? Oh, the stick. Exercise your authority. Notice he said that they're gonna cross over on dry ground. The minute you exercise your authority, watch how the pathway, which may appear to be muddy, which may appear to be rough, which may have appeared to be coarse, which may have appeared to be uneven, all of a sudden it smooths out. They went from a wet, soggy surface to dry ground. Now, wet and soggy means that the children of Israel would have gotten bogged down. But they went over on dry ground. The minute you exercise your authority, the surface becomes smooth and passable. Cross over. God's not gonna let you get stuck. Cross over. Cross over. God again promises to deal with the trouble. Now, in order to see God fulfill his plan, he requires something from you, and that is to cooperate. If he says move, move. If he says stop whining, stop whining. If he says do something, do something. Whatever it is, do it. Why? Because he is determined, just as he was the children of Israel, to get them out of Egypt into the next place. Here's the last observation that I want to make. Now, once the children of Israel crossed over and God dealt with Pharaoh and his army, every last one of them, not one, got away. They all, the children of Israel, all crossed over on dry ground. Nobody got stuck, nobody got captured, nobody got taken back to Egypt. But God dealt with the oppressor. He dealt with the taskmaster. He dealt with the demonic thing that had enslaved them and had mistreated them. But the most important thing is this: God didn't get them across the Red Sea for them to stop there. Recognize that each crossing over prepares you for the next crossing over. Now, if you think for one minute that the year of new things, he didn't say the year of new thing. Is that what Pastor said? 2026, the year of new things. Some of you may have missed that. They did a drive-by on you. New things. Now that's not one for you, one for you, one for you. No, that's new things. That's multiple things. This crossing over prepared them for the next crossing over. What was the next crossing over? To go receive the land. Now, don't be like them. Now I'm not gonna get into that because we don't have time for that, but don't be like the children of Israel and get detoured. They actually got detoured after everything God had done for them. They got detoured with their words. Lack of faith. Whining again. Whining again. Listen, if you let the Holy Ghost work in your life, it'll take that whin out of your voice. Won't be no whining, but winning. God don't do whining. Ooh, I like that. God don't do whining, but He does do winning. And recognize that the crossing over 2026, the year of new things. Just because you got over this one. Just look back for a minute and say, Father, I thank you that that prepared me for the next one. I'm crossing over. From glory to glory. From glory to glory. Thank you, Father.
