Trust God | Selena Greiner

Selena Greiner

A heartfelt and encouraging message on the simplicity and power of trusting God. The speaker teaches that genuine trust goes beyond mental agreement—it leads to obedience, confidence, and peace in every season. Using biblical examples and personal reflection, this teaching reminds believers that trust is a lifestyle, not a one-time decision. As we draw closer to God through His Word, our hearts soften, our fears fade, and our lives begin to mirror His nature. The takeaway: stop striving, start trusting, and let faith lead you forward.

SPEAKER_00:

I'll be bringing the word tonight. It's an honor to bring the word. It's a joy. I love the Bible. I love people. I love God. God is so good. God is so faithful. You know, no matter what season of life you're in, always remember that God loves you. And He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Amen. So if you're taking notes tonight, simple message: trust God. Trust God. Amen. I know I already prayed, but let's pray again. Father, we just thank you, Lord, for your word. We thank you that your word is mighty, it's alive, it's powerful. We thank you, Lord, that we are just vessels being used by you. It is not us, but it's you working through us. And so we thank you that your word is so sweet to us, Father. It's your love letter to us. And so we thank you that our ears are open to what you have to say tonight. And we put our faith and our hope and trust in you in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. You know, God is greater than any difficulty we'll ever face in life, right? Um, God never promised us a trouble-free life, right? But He did promise us to help us through every challenge and every obstacle that we face. It'd be great if we lived in a trouble-free world, but we don't. Trouble comes, uh, things happen. Um, but God wants us to to grow in his word. God wants us to know that, hey, we can we can trust him, right? We can we can put our hope, our faith, our trust is in God. Amen. So if you're taking notes, uh couple of definitions in the Hebrew word trust, it means uh to be confident, secure, or sure. It implies confidence in something or someone dependable. Uh to take refuge, taking shelter, to believe, be faithful or reliable implies that God is trustworthy because he is faithful and true. Amen. God is faithful and true. In the Greek, uh, it means not just mental agreement, but trust leading to obedience. Trust leading to obedience. Romans 1:17 says, the just shall live by faith. The just shall live by faith. And so it's a lifestyle, right? It's not just a Sunday morning, I trust God, yay, right? Um, it's a lifestyle of trust. And you can come to a place where you 100% trust God. 100%, right? Not sometimes, not when everything looks fine, everything's dandy, every, you know, all the bills are paid, and and the kids are serving God, and the and the relatives are doing right and and all is well, and then I'll trust God. We trust God in every season of our life. When it's easy, when it's difficult, when it's really tough, we trust Him. Amen. So we put our 100% trust in God, not in man, but we put it in God. So my first scripture is Matthew 8.23. Uh and this story is a familiar story. Jesus calms a storm. And I'll be reading it out of the New Living Translation. Matthew 8.23 in the New Living Translation. Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. Suddenly a fierce storm struck the lake with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, Lord, save us. We're gonna drown. Jesus responded, Why are you afraid? You have so little faith. Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed, who is this man? They asked. Even the winds and waves obey him. And so, even though Jesus was in the boat, I mean, like Jesus, the Savior, right? The one, the only was in the boat with him, they were afraid, right? The waves were crashing, the wind is howling, right? It's pretty serious. And so, freaking out, right? How many of us freak out sometimes? And so there was definitely, they saw, they saw the wind, you know, just like Pastor was preaching this morning about doubt, you know, we have to close the door on doubt. The way the boat may be rocking, right? The sea is is bad, the wind is howling, the waves are crashing. But Jesus, Jesus was in the boat, right? And they were they were freaking out. We're gonna drown. How dare you? You're sleeping, right? I want to sleep. I want to be at peace. Jesus, you're you're peaceful. What who is this man? And so even the winds and the waves obey him. And so our belief, you know, in the trials of life and in um the obstacles that we face, our belief is is primary and then our circumstances are secondary. But so many of the times we forget our belief, right? We forget, what did Pastor say on Sunday morning? What does the word say? And we just go by the circumstances, we go by the failures in life, we go by the what it looks like, but no, here Jesus calmed the storm, and so we can learn from that. And he said, Oh, ye of little faith, you know, at least they still had skin in the game. At least he was like, Hey, you don't have any faith. Little faith is better than no faith, right? They had a little bit of faith. That's great. Let's start with that. And so I have a couple of scriptures about trust, trusting God. Isaiah 43, 2 in the New Living says, When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up. The flames will not consume you. Isn't that a good scripture? That is a powerful scripture. When you go through things, when you go through the deep waters, God said, I'll be with you. I'm there every step of the way. When the rivers of difficulty come, you're not gonna drown. Sometimes they may it may feel like you're drowning, right? But God's promises, God promises us that, hey, we're not gonna drown. When we go through things, we're not gonna drown. He's gonna be with us. When we walk to the fire of oppression, where we're tempted to get oppressed and depressed and all the things, God is saying, You're not, it's not, you're not even, you're not gonna get burned up. The flames will not consume you. God is so good. Psalm 118, 8 in the New King James says, It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. So much better. Right? If you have the option, it is better to put to put your trust in God than put it in man. But so many of the time we put it in man, and we put it in the response that man's gonna give, or the lack of, or you said this, or you didn't say that, or um whatever the case may be. But our it's better to put our trust in God, in the Lord, amen. Proverbs 29, 25 in the New Living says fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety, right? It's a trap. People are gonna let you down. If you put your trust in people, if you care more about what people think than what God thinks, He says, it's a trap. I didn't say it, God said it. It's a trap, but trusting the Lord means safety. Trusting God means, hey, no matter what you're going through, you're safe. You're safe. And so you always want to remember that to trust the Lord, trust in God. I almost um labeled this uh message trust issues, but I didn't. Because you know, sometimes we got some trust issues, right? It's it can be difficult to trust people, um, but it's easy to trust God. But a lot of times it's like we we go to God how we go to people, right? We got some trust issues. So-and-so let me down, right? So and so, so-and-so said they were gonna do this and they didn't. I got some trust issues. I can't trust people no more. Welcome to the club, right? But the word, if we go by the word, it's easy to trust God. We don't go to God like we go to people. We don't, we don't do that. It's better to trust in God's plan. Man has the enemy has a plan for your life, and God has a plan for your life. His plan is so good. His plan is a trustworthy plan. Man's plan, not so much, not so much. But if you put your trust in his plan for your life, you won't be let down. Right? You won't be let down. And so we need we need to trust God's plan. We need to be, even when our trust um has been squished by other people, the word of God says to what? Forgive. How many times? If you know the word 70 times seven, does that mean in a lifetime? No. If you read the word, that means in a day. Right? And when it's 70 times seven, 490 in a day, right? That's a lot. In one day. Think about that, right? Oh, people did me wrong when it went, you know, until when was that 20 years ago? I'm like, what? You know, we gotta get over it, move past it, forgive, and we move on. Because God wants you to step into something greater, He has something greater for your life, but you can't move forward if you were just stuck in the past. Because your whole thoughts are about the past, your whole demeanor, you're just you're you're in that, and it's like you're stuck in the mud, right? How many of y'all have ever been stuck in the mud? We have with our vehicles, four-wheel drive and everything. Uh-huh. And so sometimes we we gotta have we hadn't have another person pull us out of the mud. Was that in the excursion? Uh-huh. Yeah. Jay don't want to talk about it. We won't talk about that. But sometimes, you know, when we put our trust in, if we if we put our trust in man, um, you know, things don't always go the way that they planned it you planned it. And so we can get hurt, we can get offended, but God wants to bring you into great, there's green pastures up ahead for you, right? There's wonderful things for your life that He has, but you can't step into it if you are living in the past, if you have trust issues, right? And so we have to allow God, and it and it could it daily, right? You're like, sometimes we can be like, oh yeah, okay. I, you know, yes, I forgive, but then we don't, our actions don't line up with our words. And like, no, you haven't. Right? Because how you act in, no, you haven't forgiven, right? And so our actions need to line up with our words. And so to completely trust God, we have to let go of some things and not correlate uh trusting God with trusting people, because we have to be compassionate towards people, know that people aren't perfect, and we're not perfect, right? And so Numbers, uh, next scripture is Numbers 23, 19 in the New Living says, God is not a man, so he does not lie, he is not human, so he does not change his mind. People change their mind, right? People change their mind, but God God doesn't. He doesn't lie, he doesn't change his mind, he's trustworthy. And so you can rely on him, you can put your faith and hope in him. He is your constant, he does not change. Hebrews 6, 18 in the New Living says, so God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, he that's excuse me, therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. And so God's given us his promise and his oath. Right? These two chain, these are unchangeable. It's impossible for God to lie. He's given us his word, he's given us his oath. He's not gonna go back on it, he's not gonna be like, just kidding. Right? I don't even lie. Like, I kid sometimes, and like people can kid too much. I'm like, hey, your angels are you're confusing your angels, right? Like, hey, God doesn't go back on his word, he's not like just kidding. I just meant it for this season of your life. No, his word is unchangeable. He is unchangeable, he is true, he is truth, right? And so we want to make sure we're trusting him 100% with every arena of our life. Titus 1, 2 in the New Living says, this truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised them before the world began. Isn't that good? He's given us eternal life. Even before the world began. Yes, you trust in me, telling the disciples, but hey, God sent me. So trust in God. Right? Don't look at the circumstances, disciples. The boats are rocking, the waves are coming, it's looking pretty bad. The people are talking, right? They're putting it up on Facebook. Things are happening, my coworkers are gossiping, all the things are happening. Yet Jesus said, Hey, put your trust in God. Don't look at those circumstances because they'll fade away, they're fickle. The enemy wants you, that's just a distraction. That's where the enemy wants you to focus. Because you're full, if you're focused on that, you're not actually doing the will of God and what you're called to do in life. Right? Because you have a purpose, you have a plan, and the devil wants to distract you with all of those things. And we we have to make sure that we're not distracted by all of the what the enemy throws at us. We have to put our faith in God and trust him. John 8 44 in the New Living. John 8 44 says, For you are the children of your father, the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character. For he is a liar and the father of lies. Don't get it confused. God is not bad, it's the enemy. So that's what Jesus said about the devil. There's no truth in him. So what voices am I listening to? Right? Self-pity, the enemy, shame, the enemy, lack of trust, the enemy, gossip, the enemy, second guessing, the enemy, oppression, all of those things. Here Jesus is saying, that's the devil. There is no truth in him. And so you have to recognize when those thoughts come across your brain and they don't line up, you always, you always check every thought that comes into your brain. Especially if that's that one you're meditating on all the time, like a record player. Is that thought from God? Does it line up with God's word about who He's created me to be? His plan for my life? Or is that thought from a lie from the enemy? Is it keeping me down? Is it keeping me upset and bitter? And so we have to address those thoughts. And so have three things, three areas you need to trust God with. There are many. I could have had a bazillion points, but um, for your sake and sake of time, I only have three. Uh, number one is your future. Trust God with your future. Jeremiah 29, 11 in the New Living says, For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. And so God cares about your future. God cares about your future. We have to trust God with our future. We have to put it in his hands. Proverbs 3, 5 through 6 in the New Living says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don't depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in some things that you do. No, it says, in all that you all. All means all. Like there's no wondering. What does that mean? All means all. Seek His will in all that you do. For He will show you with path path to take. Lord, should I marry that person? Lord, should I buy that car? Lord, should I buy that home? God, is this how you want me to raise your kids? I don't say my kids, your kids. Is this the way you want me to talk to them? Is this the place you want me to go right now? With every decision that you make, you need to seek his will in it. Right? Because the word says to seek his will in all that you do. Right? Because we're all about the good life. We want the good life. We want the blessed life. But many of the times, nobody seeks his will. Everybody just does their thing, buys the thing that they want, marries whomever, right? Goes in debt, and I'm not knocking anybody like who's in debt or whatever. I'm just saying God has a plan for our lives. And he has a will, a purpose, and a plan, a perfect plan. And so we have to seek him in all that we do. It's so vital, especially now in the days that we're living, we have to seek his will in all that we do. And we have to trust him with our future. Right? We have to trust him. And all the unknowns, we have to trust him with our future. You may not have every question answered, and that's okay, but that's where the seeking comes in. That's where you're like you're on your face and knees and praying before God. God, what do you want me to do in this situation? Right? Help me. You don't have to pray these long prayers. Help me, God. I need your help in this situation. I need your divine wisdom. I need your revelation in this matter. So help me, Lord. I trust you. I seek your will in all that I do. Psalm 32, 8 in the New Living says, the Lord says, I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. The best pathway. It's the best one. I will advise you and watch over you. God says, I'm gonna I'm gonna guide you along the best pathway that you that I have for you. I will advise you and watch over you, but we have to allow him. We have to open up our hearts and say, God, show me which way to go. Psalm 32.8 in the amplified classic says, The Lord will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you, I will counsel you with my eye upon you. And so he's watching over us. God is always watching over us. I always tell the teens, like you can hide from your mom and dad, but you can't hide from God. Okay, straight up. Let me just remind you, okay? You can hide from me, Pastor, and mom and dad, but the Lord sees it all. Right? God sees everything. And so we have to remember, hey, he teaches us, he has the best pathway for our life. And so he's always watching over us. And so we trust him. We trust him with the more we seek him, the more we find him. Right? And so I wouldn't trust your decisions if you weren't spending time with God. Right? Because we that's where we know his plan. That's where we know the will of God when we when we seek him, when we seek his face, we know what he has ahead. We know what he has for our life, and then we know what he has in in our future. And so it's a daily surrender. It's a surrender in the daily, in the little things in life, right? The little things that can trip us up. And so we have to make sure that we trust him with our future. Number two, with our family. With your family. We trust him with our family. Mark 10, 13 in the New Living says, one day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with the disciples. He said to them, Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. And so God wants to bless your children. God wants to bless your family. God wants to bless your supernatural relationships. Right? We continue to trust God with our kids. We continue to trust God with our grandkids. We continue to trust God with, you know, our parents, our family. He wants to bless our families. And so we trust Him with our families. Ephesians 4, 2, and 3 in the New Living says, always be humble and gentle, be patient with each other, making allowances for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. And so that's so good. You know, in the family unit, and sometimes it's not a not everybody has a cookie-cutter family. And so sometimes there's, you know, there's in-laws, there's outlaws, there's um step, you know, blended families. And so, but God wants us to live in peace. God wants us to be patient with one another. We can trust him, even in in crazy families, right? God doesn't want craziness. God doesn't want um, you know, strife and and um control and all of those things that come from the enemy. God wants to have God wants us to have peace in our families. And so you can trust Him with your family. God can mend those relationships. God can mend those relationships. And I put this uh trust doesn't always come in one giant leap. It's often built day by day through small acts, right? A lot of times we pray, God praying for so-and-so, right? Praying for my husband, you know. Hey, you need prayer. We all need prayer. No, seriously, but a lot of times we just pray, right? We're for a certain family member, and we expect, like, but yes, God hears our prayer, but sometimes it's just, hey, bake them a cake, be sweet, do a loving, some, do something loving, right? It's it's small things that we do daily. Um, it's not just this one giant, so trust sometimes doesn't come in one giant leap. It's daily. Praying, meditating on the word, right? Getting our heart right. Because a lot of times trust issues, it's it's it's it's us, right? It's a heart issue, right? My my my dad did this, my mom did that, my brother did this. That means I'm not signing up for that anymore. But we can't live life like that. We can't proceed forward when we have heart issues, when we don't, when we're not trusting people. We have to make sure to keep short accounts with one another, right? And so, so we have to trust God with our family, um, whether it's a spouse, whether it's kids, whether it's parents. Um not too long ago, I think it was last Wednesday, the Wednesday before, I talked about care godly character. And I said this um when I taught, when the leader gets better, and I was talking about, well, overall, but now I'm talking about the home. You know, in your in your home life, when the leader gets better, everybody else gets better. So our character at home, you can't just drop off your kids in children's church and then, you know, expect that's enough. It matters what we do at home. Our character at home matters, right? How we raise our kids matters. If we're harsh with our kids, that's gonna matter. You don't want them to become adults, raised in a harsh harshness is good sometimes. Now, yes, I'm not talking about not spanking your kids, but I'm just saying there's there's always there should always be a loving, godly environment for your kids, right? Home should be safety, right? If there's no trust at home, if if if you come to church and you're the head of your home, right, and you act a certain way here, but then at home it's a hot mess, I wouldn't serve God as a kid seeing all that, right? And so it's so important our character at the house, right? Whether you have kids or you don't, your home life, how you do life, right? I just have you here for 30 minutes, but how you do life matters, right? What you do in private matters because your kids and the ones around you see it. How you react, how you talk to each other as a spouse, how you talk to the kids, how how you do life. And so that matters as they get older, whether they trust God or not, whether they see that you trust God, or whether you trust your natural circumstances. Right? And so I want to make sure, because again, we are stewards, these are not my Kids, but I am stewarding them. They're God's kids. When you see everything as a stewardship, you do things totally different. You're not owning, you don't own them. Oh, those are my kids. Oh, that's my house. How dare you talk? No, you, I would do if you talk about any of the teenagers, I'm gonna be like Mama Bear, right? Not just my kids, but you don't own that you st you're stewarding them. There's God, they're God's kids. And so how you steward them matters in life. Because you want them to be loving adults. You want them to be tenderhearted towards the things of God. You don't want them to run the other way. I didn't understand why preachers' kids ran the other way. I get it now. I get it. Right? There's harshness in the church. People leave. People are rude. Right? Yes, sheep do bite. You're right. And it hurts. Right? But when you when your home base is solid, it doesn't matter what anybody else is, it doesn't matter what church, I mean it doesn't matter what church you go to, but you know what I'm saying? When your home base is solid, when your foundation is strong, things will come, right? The boats are rocking, but your family's not going to be knocked off because you stepped up and were had godly character in that household. You didn't allow things to come into your home. And so again, we trust God with our family, but we have a big part to play. We have a huge part to play, right? And so I just encourage you with that to guard your family, to guard what comes inside your house, to guard your thoughts. And um, so again, when the leaders, when the leader gets better, everybody else gets better. But a lot of times when the kids are a hot mess, that means the parents are a hot mess, right? And so it has to, it, and I'm not preaching about the family unit. I'm just saying we trust God with our family. God can help us, right? Help me, Lord, how to raise your kids. Show me what to do. And everybody has a different personality. Show me how to, you know, talk to this one and how to deal with this one. You know, show me, and he'll show you. God is so good, God is so merciful. Um, one of the scriptures I had uh Romans 11, 16, I write it all down. Uh, if the roots of the tree are holy and set apart, so will the branches be. Right? And so if your roots are holy and set apart, the fruit will stand on its own. And so we want to make sure that our roots, our root system is built in our faith and and trust is in God and not in people. When your trust is in people, you have a shallow root system. One uh I had this little plant. Miss Betty knows her and I are plant people, orchids and all the plants. And I had this one little plant plant, and I thought it was doing well. I think it was a succulent. I don't even remember. I have too many plants. But, anyways, um, I thought it was doing great. It looked grew green on top. It was it, but it wasn't growing, it was just kind of sitting there. It was and I passed by it, and and and I went to go check it, and I literally, I just I pulled it up, it had no root system. It was just like laying on top, rotting from the bottom. You know, I I passed quickly and it looked green on top. It looked nice. Like, okay, maybe it's gonna, you know, I don't know if I overwatered, underwatered, I don't know what I did to it, but it had no root system. And so we want to make sure that we have a root system, that our root system is built on the word of God, right? Because if we put our trust in people, if we put our trust in circumstances, we have a shallow root system. Our root system has to be uh deep and it has to uh it we have to make sure that we're uh full of the word of God, full of prayer. Um, and my last point is trust God with your finances. Matthew 6, 31 through 33 in the New Living says, Don't worry about these things, saying what you will what will we eat, what will we drink, what we will wear. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly father already knows all your needs. Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything that you need. And so here the word says, Hey, don't worry about things that are going on. Don't worry about your finances. Yeah, the bills are coming, yes. And I'm so glad that we're doing the Wednesday night um financial series on Wednesday nights because so many of us we need it. We we what is the word has a lot to say about our finances. We have to trust God, we have to do our part, and I'm not gonna go into all that, but uh we we can trust God with our finances when we put him first. He wants us spirit, soul, and body, he wants us whole, complete, right? And so God here he's saying, don't worry about that. He knows, he knows what you need, he knows what you need, and he's gonna when you seek him first, he'll take care of it. And Philippians 4 19 says, At this same God who takes care of me uh will supply all your needs from his glorious riches. This is the new living translation, which have been given to us by Christ Jesus. So God always comes through, right? God always comes through when you put him first in life, he always comes through. Amen. We trust God with our future, we trust him with our family, and we trust him with our finances, right? So, whatever situation you're facing in life, whatever it is, you know, we all go through things. Trust God, believe God, put your faith and hope in Him. He'll never leave you, He'll never forsake you. Right? When we speak the word of God, we put the devil on the run. When we speak that, but when we're just silent, when we're just complaining, we lose by default, right? You don't want to be silent. You wanna you wanna make sure that you're speaking the word of God, that you're proclaiming the word of God, that you're not getting mad, that you're not complaining, right? That you're not murmuring. Because we can all, we've all had those seasons where we're tempted to complain and uh, right? Is anybody else real in here? All right, okay, maybe just me. We we're tempted to complain, we're tempted to to right murmur and and like, oh, why is this happening? Ugh, I'm just doing the right thing. Why don't they do the right thing? I've been doing the right thing all week long, and they're not doing the right thing. God, don't you see them? But no, you know what? God, we the word of God is a mirror. We can't change anybody, right? We don't change, we can't change people's hearts, we can't change their action. It's the word of God, it's God working through us, it's prayer that changes things. And so many of the times we want to change it, and we wanna, if I I'm gonna do it this way, I'm gonna text that, I'm gonna email that, I'm gonna say it that way, and then it's gonna get through their head. Is that God how God wants you to operate? No. Is that the love of God? No. Does God want you to say those things? No. No, if it's mean, if it's rude, if it's all of those, no, God has a way of doing things. We we can't trusting God is not it a lot of times we how do I say that, like favor, you know, favor ain't fair. Jay mentioned that this morning. Um we trust God, and yes, we have favor, but a lot of times it's like we we we bulldoze and we're gonna do this, and and I'm gonna do it. You know, it's it's it's the journey, it's how you got there. Like you may have gotten to destination, but you took everybody out, and ain't nobody want to be around you. Like, but you got there, and we good, and praise the Lord, we got there, but I don't want to be around you now because it was the way you got there, right? You took everybody out with your words and with your actions, but praise the Lord we got there. Can you really praise the Lord? You can, but again, trust God, don't trust in yourself and hey, I'm gonna, that's what needs to happen and I'm gonna get it done. But there's a way to do it, God's way, and I believe that God's way is agape love way, right? He has a way of doing things. If you read the Bible, if you read all throughout the gospels, you see his ways. He was moved with compassion. Right? Yes, he told it like it was, but he was moved with compassion. He went to places that he shouldn't have been, talked to people that he shouldn't have talked to, but he broke through those barriers and he was moved with compassion because he knew God was on his side. He was there to teach, to heat, to heal, to preach signs and wonders. And so it's the way we do life. So I just want to encourage you, trust God. Don't trust in your own ability, don't trust in your own way of doing things, don't trust in family traditions. This is the way mom and dad did it, and this is, you know, this is the way a lot of times we just do things because we're hurt, right? Life happens and we're hurt, and that's the only way we know how. But the closer when you get when the closer you draw to Jesus, the more you spend time with him, the more you look like him. Right? That's what I found out. Like if you don't, if I don't read the word in the morning, right? And Jay says something, and then I'm like, uh, what did you just say and how'd you say it? It's probably not him, it's probably me. Because I haven't been in the word. Right? So when we get in the word in the in the morning, it's the first thing, right? Like then it softens our heart. And then you're like, you know what? I do trust you, God. I don't trust in myself. I'm not gonna try to make this happen in my own. I see all the stuff, or I see this with my family, or I see in their situations. But you know what, God, you know what's going on. I trust you, right? When we when we proclaim, when I pro my your word in my mouth is is sharp, it's alive, it's powerful. And so we need to speak his word. We need to trust him. We were made to trust God and not in ourselves. Amen.
