Chart Your Course | Roadmap to Kingdom Wealth 1 | James & Claire Buntrock

James & Claire Buntrock

In this opening message of Roadmap to Kingdom Wealth, the speaker introduces a five-week journey into the spiritual and practical principles of prosperity. Drawing from an interview with Dr. Oral Roberts, the teaching emphasizes that kingdom wealth begins with a prospering soul and the renewal of the mind. God desires His people to walk in both health and abundance, but it requires alignment with His financial laws and a willingness to grow in wisdom. This episode sets the foundation for learning how divine ideas, concepts, and insights unlock supernatural increase for every believer.

SPEAKER_01:

We are uh starting our five-week series here in the month of October on Roadmap to Kingdom Wealth. And uh we have a goal of uh you know uh approaching it from the spiritual side and give you spiritual laws, kingdom laws of finance, but also some practical uh things. We need practical wisdom that the Holy Ghost uh has pointed out to us over many years, and uh I believe it's gonna be a blessing to you. How many of you willing to make adjustments in your thinking? Make adjustments in in your in in uh your knowledge base, you know, our our soul. You know, the uh the apostle John there in 3 John 2, he said, Beloved, I pray, or I I I he says I wish in the King James, but it means pray. Beloved, I pray above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. So your soul has to prosper in order to effect your kingdom prosperity, your financial and material prosperity. God is interested at the top of his list, actually, your health and your prosperity. And that word prosper means uh a roadside help. It literally means a long life's journey. We're on a journey, hence the word roadmap. Uh, you wouldn't be able to get to Dallas if you planned on going to Dallas. I got news, you can't get there on I-10. You need I-45. See, it's the same with prosperity, you it's the same with health. You've got to have a destination. We're gonna provide a roadmap for you to help you. And so we're gonna begin tonight. Um glad our live stream audience is watching. We're gonna begin with a part of a uh an interview I did with Dr. Orl Roberts at his home in Newport Beach, California in January of 2005, 20 plus years ago, and it's just as as uh important now as it was then. And when I heard the beginning of his uh uh comments starting in the summer before that, uh it confirmed to me that God indeed had called me to wake up the church because his his revelation was a wake-up call to the church. It was a corrective word to the church. And uh, if you know, if you've ever followed Dr. Oil Roberts, he was not the kind that would correct. He was a prophet of God, and uh and he had healing miracles in the healing days and all during his days, but he would was an encourager. You know, God's gonna do something good for you today. I mean, that was his style, that was his heart, but in this word, this word was to the body of Christ. The church isn't ready for the second coming. God visited him. He showed me right where the visitation happened, he described it. So we're gonna run for about four minutes of this. Please listen uh quickly and then I'll wrap it up when we finish the video, okay? God bless you.

SPEAKER_00:

Wouldn't it follow then that God is about to release simultaneously this great harvest, this great end gathering, a great financial harvest with which to be able to do the work?

SPEAKER_02:

I'm glad that you asked that question. Number one. He said the major hindrance is the fact that the people are not in position nor spirit to give the money for themselves to live, and then for me to use to sending people to all nations that it takes money to send my gospel to the ends of the earth. The biggest hindrance begins with what's happening in America and the world of people going into debt in such an easy way until the first thing they know, they're over their heads, and the interest is way up there, and they can't pay their bills. They're trying to get through the month or through the week. Sometimes, if I can just get through the day. And uh he said there's a consternation in the heart of man to today through indebtedness. People are not uh paying double payments on what they owe. They just letting them go and they're buying this and buying that, and they're and he said, people have got to get out of debt now. And number two, he said, my people are cheating themselves by not tithing and giving their 10% to the church and to the work of the Lord, because then I can't do for them financially what I promised to do in my word. He said, I said to them at last, as a final word, bring you all the tithe into my storehouse, saith the Lord, and I'll open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing where there's not room enough to contain it. I said, Lord, I've been a tither over 50 years, and I've never received so much I couldn't contain it. Well, he said, there's a reason. People who tithe think of tithing that when they tithe, and then I'm going to pour out a blessing from heaven upon them, that's so much they can't contain it. They think about me dropping money out of heaven, cars out of heaven, houses out of heaven, material things out of heaven. He said, the silver and gold are on the earth, and I own all the silver and the gold. He said, I own the earth itself and the cattle on the thousand hills. He said they're they're they're looking, but they're not looking to the source. And I'm the source, and what I pour out of heaven are ideas, concepts, and insights. He said, everything begins with an idea. Nothing happens without an idea. And when the idea comes, it has to be studied until it becomes a concept, a way of life. Wow. And then once it becomes a concept, then insight or wisdom from God is given. Insight. So then you put the idea into work, and suddenly all the finances that you can ever handle, including more than you can contain, will be poured out upon you.

SPEAKER_01:

Hallelujah. Well, can you say amen to that? Well, I just relived the emotion that I felt when he started talking about ideas, concepts, and insights because it was news to me. I'd never heard that before. I've sat under some pretty good fine Bible teachers and preachers, and especially those that are highly exercised in the giving and receiving and financial blessing. But um it spurred in me from that moment I went back to the hotel after uh that interview, and which we had to cut, you know, had to edit it from an hour and a half down to an hour. So we just gave you just a little taste. Uh I think we still have the DVD outside. Nobody probably has a DVD player anymore, so we'll probably work on trying to get the right huh? Oh, we have a link. We have a link. So I would invite you to take a look at that entire interview. It's powerful. It's as powerful today as it was 20 years ago. It's as it's as current today as it was 20 years ago. One of the things he's told me is as we parted company, he said, John, the gospel to the poor is the guts of the gospel. I'd never heard that before. And so there were some things that I had to check with God on, you know, because you know, here's a man of God, I believe that I believe him. But it's not written that way. It's not in the Bible ideas, concepts, and insights. It doesn't say ideas, it says a blessing. And so I talked to the Lord on that, on about that on the way back to the hotel room. I said, Lord, what about I believe what he said, but I need I can't please I can't preach to the people what he said. I gotta preach the word. What about that ideas, concepts, and insights? He said, Well, why don't you look up Jacob? Jacob was a tither. Jacob did without for 14 years. He was a servant to Laban and he was broke. But in six years, one idea made him rich and he was richer than Laban. Boy, I mean, you talk about getting excited. So that triggered my book, Rise Up and Reap. We have copies out there. If you've never read it, it's worth reading. Talks about our land miracle here that you're sitting in a miracle tonight. And uh this whole thing is a miracle. This is all ideas, concepts, and insights lived out over 30 plus years of ministry. And uh and I I'm my heart is to impart uh this knowledge to you. And we've got some excellent Bible teachers that are gonna be doing most of it. I'm gonna be here to lead it off and set it up. But just think about uh the other thing he said, guts. What about the guts of the gospel? What how is that the guts? What how is the how is it the guts of the gospel? He said, Well, gee, you know, my son Jesus started with the gospel to the poor. That was number one on his list. And the book of Romans, chapter 10, says, you know, that that people how can they believe if they have not heard, and how will they hear, you know, without a preacher? And how how will the preacher go unless he is sent? So giving he mentioned that. He giving sends the laborer to get to start the whole process. I mean, the gospel can't can't go forward without your participation financially. And so that's what you're gonna have to think about. You're gonna have to think a bit a little bigger than your week or your month or your year or your income. I mean, it's bigger, bigger, bigger. We must all increase. We must all have not just our salaries, not just our profits on those of you that are that are uh, you know, have your own business, not just our commissions on those of you that are on sales, but you've got to maximize the ideas, concepts, and insights that God wants to rain down on you. Other alternative ways for income to come in. We're gonna address some of those things. We're gonna address the outgo side of it. We're gonna address uh a lot of it in five weeks, and I just believe it'll change your life forever. It's changed my life, changed my wife, Gladys's life, our family's life. It's the good news. We've got good news to share with you tonight. So without further ado, I want you to welcome uh James and Claire. Come on up and uh give them a hand clap. They're gonna lead off of week number one. Praise God.

SPEAKER_06:

Thank y'all for being here tonight. Um, I'm gonna start off by saying we are not experts, nor are we expert financial advisors, and Pastor Wants's Bible.

SPEAKER_05:

Very humbling, very humbling.

SPEAKER_06:

Uh, but we have lived through some stuff, a real life, and uh we have some experiences, some successes, and some failures uh that people can draw from and learn from. But most of all, we have the Holy Spirit who helps us, who helps all of us. And so before we go another step tonight, I'm not willing to do this without the Holy Spirit being here in the middle of it. He's here because you're here. Um, but we're just gonna ask his help tonight and uh to breathe on this word that's gonna be sent out tonight. And uh, y'all just agree with me. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. Holy Spirit, I thank you that you're here tonight, that you're breathing on this word, that everybody under the sound of my voice is gonna they're they're here with open hearts, they're ready to receive. And I declare, according uh according to your promises and your word, that people are gonna hear exactly what they need to hear. It's not what I speak, what Claire speaks necessarily, but uh but they're gonna hear exactly what they need to hear. And Holy Spirit, you're an expert. You're an expert in all things financial and all systems and all protocols, all rules, all laws. You're just an expert. And so we lean on you tonight to help us to become experts in our areas uh with your power and your wisdom, and we thank you for these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

SPEAKER_05:

Amen.

SPEAKER_06:

All right. Well, with that, let's get started. And so uh wasn't that a great video? Dr. Oral Roberts said, Is there anybody here who hadn't heard of Oral Roberts before tonight? So every there's there's one, maybe, maybe a couple of hands who haven't been here tonight. He was a general in the faith. And uh he was a man who gave his life to ensure that this gospel is carried to the uttermost, to the ends of the world. Uh he's got a wonderful work that's still living today through Oral Roberts uh university where where our kids, Thea and Ben, uh attend. And it's a spirit-filled university, and and their mission is that people in the uttermost parts are going to hear the gospel and that the the work of the kids that come through that place, their work will exceed his work. In other words, they're gonna exceed Oral Roberts' work. And so he started something, and he was a true general in the faith, and uh, and and he's got a lot of financial wisdom there too. But uh his revelation uh is why we're debt-free in a church building today. Um it works. And so, you know, Pastor talked about, you know, if if you're trying to get to Dallas, you don't get on I-10, that doesn't work. You need a you need a route, you need a map. Tonight is the road map to kingdom wealth. This is a series of five uh Wednesday nights this month. And this is the overview tonight. We're gonna hit a lot of the big picture things, some very important things, and and some of the rest of this will be saved for subsequent Wednesdays, talking about the outgo or the leaks in your life and and income and how to build your income, uh, budgeting, and then the supernatural increase beyond that. Um, but let me just ask some questions. You don't have to respond back, but um, I just want you to think about these things when I ask these questions. What is your goal in life? Where are you going? We're all aiming at something. Where are you going? And without a plan, how do you know when you get there? Uh you don't even know if you arrived or not. If you don't know what you're aiming at or where you're you could sail right on past it and never even know. You would miss it. Um but without a uh uh a plan or a map, uh you don't know which way to go. And um and thank God that there's there are things in this word that will help us uh help us get there. There are no accidents with God. This is not an accident where we just float on the seas of life and get there. Um we have to we have to live our life with purpose and intent and do things intentionally. We we can let or we can let not. We can allow things in our life to happen to us, or we can make things happen. We can be on the defense our whole life, or we can go on the offense and take back new ground. Um Jesus spoke in in Luke chapter 14. Uh he was just asking these questions uh in verse uh 28. There it says, For which of you intending to build a tower does not sit down first and count the costs? And and wouldn't it be embarrassing if you started building the tower and all you could do was lay the foundation and a few bricks on top and then you ran out of money because you didn't count the cost. You didn't have a financial plan to complete the project. That's that's just an embarrassment. You see some projects like that around town right now. I don't know what happened to him, but it's an embarrassment. Um when we're setting out and bearing his cross and becoming his disciples, um, we are wholly committed to his plan at that point. We have given our life wholly to that, to his plan. And thank God he's got a good plan.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, and he will supply, he will supply the finances that it takes to it. If you started your tower, if you have his plan, then he will make sure you are supplied to complete it. And then the rest of that verse says, What king going out to make war against another king does not sit down first and consider whether he's able with 10,000 to meet him who comes against him with 20. Then do you have the troops? Do you have the manpower? Um and and then um, but God does have a plan for you. And in ver in Jeremiah 29, 11, um, the children of Israel, they were half of them were stuck in um in Jerusalem that had been occupied, and then the rest of them were carried off to Babylonia, and it was a just a very, it was a very, it was a time of judgment in their land. It was a hard time. Um, but God prophet sent the prophet in the middle of all that. For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope. It might look dark right now, but God has a plan and there was a way of escape for them. For them, it meant, hey, they had to leave and go serve the king in Babylonia for 70 years, and that broke their theology. Man, we thought we were supposed to be here in Jerusalem serving the Lord. Well, they lost, they gave up that land because there was sin and there was they so they had to be on plan B. But even in plan B, there was a future and a hope. So it's never, never too late. We always wish we could see the plan way on.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, as a as an engineer. So, you know, I'm I'm standing up here as an associate pastor in this church. Uh the the clear way to become a pastor is obviously to drop out of school and go sailing and then go back to school and become an engineer so that you can. It's such a convoluted route.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

And I look back in life and and think, how in the world did I get here? How did we end up doing this? And and and part of me wants to see that plan. As an engineer, I require a spreadsheet and a drawing, and I want to see that plan. I want to make corrections to it and adjustments and and improvements. Um, but more and more, the things that God is doing in the earth today, right now, in this nation, the the revival that you're seeing, the response of people to the name of Jesus, um, things are happening so fast. Um, I'm at a point where I don't even want to see the plan. I just want to be in the middle of it when it happens.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, yeah. And one, you know, one thing, it's funny, one thing Charlie Kirk would always say is here am I, send me. Everybody say that. That it was actually from the prophet said that.

SPEAKER_06:

That's right.

SPEAKER_05:

Everybody say that, here am I. Here am I, send me.

SPEAKER_06:

Send me.

SPEAKER_05:

And so one thing Earl Roberts was talking about is that people couldn't obey the plan of God. They they were so strapped with debt and financial burdens that they could not say yes to the plan of God. They weren't ready for the second coming of my son because they were stuck. And so uh, but this is our plan. God has a plan to get you unstuck, to get you free and breathing again, so you can say yes, Lord. You know, we talked about sending laborers and giving to the work of God. Some of that is gonna be you.

SPEAKER_06:

You're the laboratory.

SPEAKER_05:

It's gonna be you funding your life to go. And we have some stories.

SPEAKER_06:

You need the financial freedom to be able to obey God in a moment's notice and not put a delay on it. You just need to be able to say, Yes, God, I'm ready and be ready to go.

SPEAKER_05:

All right. So we're on a plan.

SPEAKER_06:

We're on a plan. Uh we're on God's plan. And I can't tell you the specifics of God's plan for your life or for mine, but we're gonna speak in some generalities tonight. Um, but before we get to that plan, I want to ask you about the plan that maybe you're currently on.

SPEAKER_05:

Financially.

SPEAKER_06:

Financially, the one that you're uh the one that you're following in life, uh, the financial principles. How do you make decisions about your finances today? You know, most of us we we've got parents. Parents taught us some things, you know, to save money, to uh to to maybe to invest in something.

SPEAKER_05:

Some of y'all are laughing. Like your parents did not say maybe your parents didn't say that.

SPEAKER_06:

Maybe, maybe you heard something from a professor along the way or a teacher, and they told you how to be successful in life. And so you're doing the things, maybe, maybe you're doing the things that that you were told make you successful in life. So let me, if you know who that is in your life, I want you to think about where they are in life and ask yourself this question are they successful? Are they have they arrived at the destination that you also want to go to? Because if you're following their plan, you're gonna end up in the same place where they are or where they did. So let me just ask ask the questions this way. Uh how many of you were told that you had to go to school? And yes, yeah, and and you go to school to get a good education and make good grades.

SPEAKER_05:

You have to make good grades.

SPEAKER_06:

All right, so you you kind of know where this is going, and you and you make good grades in high school so that you can get into a good college. Yeah, why do you go to college? You want to work for a good company, really good job, and you want to have a good job and you want to make lots of money, and hopefully you find a company that has a like a 401k benefit. Maybe they match uh the 401k. You put some money in, they put some money in, they match what you do, and and and you're off and running climbing the corporate ladder and and throwing money into the 401k, and and uh hopefully that's that's increasing over time, and uh and you're climbing that corporate ladder. Um, but the strategy of the 401k, I'm not I'm not gonna say that 401ks are a terrible thing, but let's look at what the strategy of the 401k, also the IRA. If you're putting money into an IRA, um the strategy of that is you don't want to pay a lot of taxes when you draw that money out. And so you're paying taxes based on a tax bracket that you're in. That tax bracket that you're in is based on the income level that you currently have. So ideally, you've done all this stuff, you've gone to school, you've made good grades, got into a good college, worked for a good company, putting money into a 401k, you're gonna work about 40, 50 years of your life, and you hope by the end of your life that you'd have zero income so that you pay zero income tax or a very low income tax for a very low income. So you're aiming at having a low or zero income. Why is that good?

SPEAKER_05:

So then you can take out James is because you could take out of your IRA and you're in a low tax bracket, you don't pay any taxes.

SPEAKER_06:

Oh, you don't pay a lot of taxes on this money that you've saved to live off of. And and you save some money. So let me let me throw some some numbers up on the board here. Um, let me paint as dire a picture as I can if I haven't already. I'm gonna wheel this up. We got people on this side. All right, so the median, I look some some stats here. Uh the uh the medium median median, so not the the the average, but the median, the middle savings uh of Americans between the ages of 65, so if you're the between the ages of 65 to about 74 uh years old, uh your savings is about$200,000 is the median savings for an American in that age bracket today. And and you know, some people do better and some people do worse. The median is in the middle of that. And so the average cost of living for a single person in America is about$50,000, maybe$55,000. So if you've gotten to a point in your life where you have zero income because you've re retired or gotten fired and you've got your$401 with$200,000 left in it, and you're spending this much as a single person in a year's time, how many years left do you have? You've got four years left. And so you've done all of this and you hope to die before you run out of money.

SPEAKER_05:

Wait, James, but wait, but wait, I get social security, James.

SPEAKER_06:

Okay, social security. Also, for a married couple, it gets better. For a married couple, uh, the cost of living is, you know, roughly uh about eighty thousand dollars. So there are some efficiencies. Two is better than one. You're not buying two houses, you're buying one house, you're living in the same space, you're eating out of the same fridge. There are some efficiencies. So it's not$100,000 for two people, but it's about$80,000 for two people to live on the average. And if you get Social Security because you've been working this job, you can expect to have another uh$1,600 per month to go with that$200,000 that you've got in savings. And so really that's gonna stretch it from about four and a half years to to maybe something around seven years. So you do all that and you hope to die again before you run out of money.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, I think.

SPEAKER_06:

And that was your goal in life.

SPEAKER_05:

Seven years, live it up. Well, wait, what if I have medical bills?

SPEAKER_06:

Well, then it gets worse.

SPEAKER_05:

What if I need ventures?

SPEAKER_06:

If it, if you, if you're not healthy, if you haven't taken care of yourself, um, it just gets worse. And so people are aiming at the wrong things. And I'm not saying that uh investing in the stock market is bad. It is a gamble. There are strategies. I recommend having experts in all of this. Um amateurs are very expensive, experts are just kind of expensive. And so we're not the experts here, but I can tell you that that plan right there is you're aiming at the wrong thing. In Proverbs 10, 22, it says, the blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow with it. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow with it. So I'll I've given my testimony before. This is the very short and truncated version of this. I was at the end of my senior year in college, I was broke, I was sorely in debt, I couldn't pay my debts, I wasn't making enough money to pay the interest on my debts. I was putting groceries on my credit cards and hoping to make it to the end of college. I had sold my textbooks, I had run out of things to sell, I had no money left except for the occasional odd job of fixing something or building something. Um, and I was in my senior year and ready to take my finals and wasn't sure if I was gonna make it to the end of my senior year, if I was gonna graduate or be homeless. That's where I was, broke, broken, in debt. And I wasn't living right, I wasn't doing right, I wasn't putting God first, I wasn't honoring him in my life the way that I knew that I should. On the edge of my bed one night, I repented. After hanging up with a creditor calling and and and calling me all kinds of stuff, I just sat on the edge of my bed and I broke and I repented. And I had$535 left in the bank account. And rather than go and take a final exam that night on a Wednesday night, I decided I needed to be in church midweek, and I just went to church and I wrote a$500 check and put it in the offering. That moment changed the course of my life, it changed the route that I was on, it changed the map that I was following. I I was doing something that was doomed to fail, and it changed everything about my life. I started aiming at something different. And the only way I know to describe this is it felt like I was being propelled on a giant wave out of one scenario and into something else.

SPEAKER_05:

Blessing.

SPEAKER_06:

Into blessing.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

I started a new job. It was in Florida. I met my wife on the way to Florida. A year later, we were married. I'm out of debt a year later. I'm moving back to Houston about a year later. And I'm moving into a job in a position that I didn't really earn or deserve. It was just handed to me. I sat in a seat with contacts and and and jobs that I didn't I didn't work to get. And I just sat and moved into something that wasn't mine, but God gave it to me. And I went from the bottom to the top. I was climbing a corporate ladder. I went, I was earning a six-figure salary. I was in a huge bonus bracket, and I was the poster child of the company that worked from the field level all the way to the top in the office. And the only people that were above me was the vice president and the president of the company. My last project was$46 million. I was going up, up, up. And so suddenly I've got freedom, freedom to do things. And when God says to do something, we have freedom to do things. Um, we've got some examples here. We'll share uh some of these.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, I would just encourage you just to relate. I mean, God will do that for you if you're just if you're willing, if you're in a dark place, you can turn around right now just by changing your mindset. Uh and that's what it took for James. Yeah, it for him it involved giving a big gift because it was like it was like a white flag of surrender. Like my whole way is wrong.

SPEAKER_06:

I erased any plan B I might have had.

SPEAKER_05:

And um and and so, uh, and then on my side, I'm I'm a single girl, I'm a little tragic. I'm doing everything right. But, you know, and I'm saving. I'm making money. I'm not spending all my money. I'm saving. So I could say yes to God when the scruffy man came into my life. I could say, I could say yes. There's freedom to follow the plan of God when you have not maxed out every credit card, when you have not lived and spent every penny. There is freedom, and that I'm and and I'm just the blessing of the Lord is such a such a different mentality. There is, there are practical things that you can do with your hands, that you can do with your mind that contribute to the blessing of God. But it is really, it's just a mindset. You're in a different kingdom. It is not by might, not by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. So we're going to give some extra. There's a mindset, there's a spirit that you're catching in these things. Yes, you will hear practical things, but there, I want you to catch the spiritual things behind it.

SPEAKER_06:

We're going to give some examples, and one of these you'll hear under the income side a little bit more about that. But at one point in our life, God told us to move out of our house, our very first house, that we didn't have a reason to move out of. It was plenty big, it was nice and a great place. We had kids, and God told us to move. And we had the freedom to obey God. And what we did with that house turned into extraordinary financial blessings for us.

SPEAKER_05:

It was a blessing for us, and it was an answer to prayer for the person who rented our house. Yeah. They had been praying for a house in that neighborhood. Here are we. We just we just answered the call. It was awesome.

SPEAKER_06:

So we're gonna save that more of that testimony, what that turned into for the income side. Uh, another another moment of freedom. You know, I just climbed this corporate ladder, moved up to the top, great salary, great bonus, all of these things. And Pastor said, You want to come to work for the church. No, I do not. I've got this great plan, a great thing. I know. But I get to see you in the evening, and and I still got this great. I was not looking for this. You know, my dad was a preacher, I wanted nothing to do with that. In fact, there were two things that I told God when I'm after I graduated. I studied engineering and I felt guilty. And this is my big thinking. I wanted to make a contribution to the kingdom of God. I said, God, maybe I'll one day go on a missions trip, and maybe I'll I don't know, I'll help somebody build a church somewhere, and that'll be my contribution. That's pretty small thinking. But uh, I did come to work for the church in January 2008. I went to my boss and let him know that I would be leaving the company. And he was so mad he didn't talk to me for three days. And then he came back to me, took me to lunch, bought me a steak lunch, and said, There are two things I can't compete with, and church and family are those two things. He said, You're making a great choice, a great course. If you ever want to come back, you're always welcome, but you probably won't. And he was right. I never came back. And it should have been a hard thing to leave that company behind because it was such a great financial blessing in our life, and it made sense to keep going down that path, but God had something different. And so when we left, I know Claire and I, we stood there at that sign on the way out in the parking lot, took a last photo, and it should have just felt bad, but we had freedom to leave that and not be stuck because we were broke, broken, and in debt and and and struggling. We were we were doing well. And I I hadn't been gone from that job. I came to work here two months later. They didn't owe me a thing. I had left that company, I had severed all ties, they didn't owe me a thing. Two months later, a bonus check for$35,000 showed up in the mail. That's the favor of God. That's the blessing of God. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow with it.

SPEAKER_05:

So what if, what if you had freedom? What if you had your time back? What if you could, what if you had time to spend with your kids or your grandkids? What if you had time to work out and have and exercise? What if you had the energy to do that because you you weren't already totally spent on working, working, working all the time? What if you had energy to cook a healthy meal for yourself at home every day and not eat stuff out of a can? What if you had money to buy things that were healthy and and you know, food is expensive? Healthy food is spendy. What if you had money? What if you could go to the dentist every six months like you're supposed to? And then you wouldn't have to buy denture when you when you were 52 or whatever.

SPEAKER_06:

What if you could afford floss?

SPEAKER_05:

What if you could floss thing? That is oh, I can be that can save you so much money. It's so cheap. Just do that.

SPEAKER_06:

Please. You know, we're talking about a destination here.

SPEAKER_05:

But yes, where are you? And what is your goal? What could go? Yes. What how healthy could you be? How how could you say yes to God? Just um let let the blinders come off, let the limits come off and play what if in your life right now. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

The goal here is not chasing after a bucket of gold at the end of a rainbow. It is not chasing after a particular number in your income. It's not chasing after a certain size house or a lake, it's not chasing after those things. It is giving yourself wholeheartedly to the kingdom of God, and the blessing of the Lord will fall on your life. In Deuteronomy 8.18, it said, And you shall remember the Lord your God. You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the power to get wealth. It does it. You shall remember how to get wealth. No, you remember God. Everything about this is pointing to God and kingdom-minded and kingdom business and all the things that come with that will be more than enough to take care of you and your family and your children's children, and at any mission that God puts in your lap to do, when he says, get up and go, leave this, move here, do this, buy that, bless that person, you're gonna be able to say, Yes, Lord, I can do that. Would you would you like to say yes? You want to say, God, I can't do that right now. I've got to pay a credit card bill, I've got a gas bill, I've got a light bill, I've got the internet, I've got my phone, used a lot of data this month. I mean, what do you want to be able to tell God?

SPEAKER_05:

I can't follow this this career path that I feel like God has for me because it doesn't pay enough. Now I really need something that makes more money. Um, you know, maybe there are streams of income that that would allow you to still do your your dream job. You know what is your goal? What is it? So what are your goals? What is your what is your Dallas? What is your destination? You're not gonna get on I tend to go to what is the Dallas?

SPEAKER_06:

And um and uh Matthew 6 33 says it. Seek first the kingdom of God. That's the that's the destination that we need to aim for. You can have other goals in life, things that you would like to accomplish in life. I'm not against any of those things. But when you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, all the things that you have need of. God sees everything. He he looks at the the flowers and the birds, he takes care of the birds. I can't look out in my yard and see a bird without remembering that God takes care of them. How much more does your heavenly father love you?

SPEAKER_05:

So back to this model right here where you have the 401k and you have the seven years of life before you run out of money.

SPEAKER_06:

And hope to die.

SPEAKER_05:

And hope to die. Um back to that. So, you know, if you ask that person, what is your goal, what is your destination, almost all of them would say, Well, I want to be rich. I want to have a bigger pot of money. I want to have a bigger, bigger pot of money, the bigger pot. And um, and we all know that that can't really satisfy. Um and uh, but so if we aim at the, but and and and maybe that person is like, well, I'm just gonna retire. I'm gonna sit on my rocking chair, I'm gonna have this fun hobby, I'm gonna go fishing every day, I'm gonna go golfing every day, ladies. I'm gonna go shopping every day, I'm gonna sit and sew or knit or whatever. But that is have fun. How many of you have retired and you had fun knitting for about uh 24 hours? And after that, you were like, okay, I wanted to do something with meaning. I mean, we're built to make a difference, to have meaning. And um, so I have an idea, uh we do we have Keith and Claudia come to our church. I don't see them here tonight.

SPEAKER_06:

Claire's about to tell her story.

SPEAKER_05:

I'm gonna, but I'm gonna do that. She doesn't have permission because again, I did not yeah, I'm not using their last name. Uh but you know, Keith and Keith was a he's a titan of industry. He was a a compact executive of the highest order. He he uh he knew everything there was to know about the computer industry when it was up and coming and growing. And um uh just uh uh built built this planet, had the biggest pot, had a much bigger pot. Um has the dream of some of these people on this plan, like has land in Fredericksburg and has a ranch out there and can inhabit and all of that. And God gave that to him, but he's still kingdom-minded. He's a generous giver, he supports the gospel, his own kids. Uh our one of his kids is a is a missionary in in in an a communist country.

SPEAKER_06:

We won't say the name.

SPEAKER_05:

We won't say the name, but we y'all know these people because they come and testify of the work of the Lord that they're doing. So it's a wonderful, so so there's that that blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow. And rich is not just monetary wealth, it's so much deeper than that. I think we all want that. Okay, we can move on.

SPEAKER_06:

All right, in 1 Samuel chapter 13, verse 14, uh it says, But now your kingdom, this is talking to Saul, King Saul. So you remember King, you know, Israel wanted a king, Saul was anointed, he became king, and it and now the prophets come into him, but now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for himself a man after his own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over his people, because you, Saul, have not kept what the Lord has commanded you. And uh and and God was the whole time he was looking for somebody who would be after his own heart. Now, David was a flawed person who made all kinds of enormous mistakes along the way, but he was a man who chased after God's own heart. He was repentant when he did something wrong, he turned around, he repented, he did, he kept up with the precepts, he did everything that he could that he knew was right in the sight of God. When he made a mistake, he turned and repented and and and and uh and took his punishment, took his lumps, and still loved God. He loved God and at the end of his life, when he wanted to build a house for God, and God said, No, there's too much bloodshed on your hands, but your son's gonna build the house. But it's good that you wanted to build me a house. And David didn't get bent out of shape about that. It said that he prepared with all his might, all his might, he prepared an offering for the Lord for the building of the house of God. And after he prepared with all his might, his mighty men did the same thing. And after all that was prepared, it said, then David, because he had set his affections on the house of God, he prep he took another special offering out of his own. I guess he had another treasury, a personal private thing. And he gave out of that, he lavished blessing on God. God had blessed his life, the blessing of the Lord made him rich, and he still poured it out on God. He was a man after God's own heart. He was kingdom-minded, he poured his life into this. And and you know, in Psalm 37 it says, Delight yourself also in the Lord in verse 4, and he'll give you the desires of your heart. Maybe our desires aren't aligning perfectly with God's desires, our plan. We're kind of tugging in different directions here. But if you delight yourself and love God and chase after him, if you take time to read his word and and and and and apply that in your life, his desires become your desires. Then you're desiring the same thing that he's desiring. Now you're working together with the Holy Spirit. And when you're working together with the Holy Spirit, there is nothing that can't be done.

SPEAKER_04:

Amen.

SPEAKER_06:

You can't be stopped.

SPEAKER_05:

Amen. Amen.

SPEAKER_06:

And you know, I like what Oral Roberts was saying earlier that people expect God to reign money and cars and houses and things out of heaven. And God said, All that stuff is right here on earth. The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and they that dwell therein. He's founded it upon the seas, established it on the on the waters, but then it asked some questions. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? This is in case you're wondering, is in Psalm 24. Um in verse 5, it said, He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from God of his own salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face. And so there's a difference between seeking the blessing of God, seeking the hand of God. Joseph pointed this out earlier, Pastor Joseph, earlier today. He said, Some seek after God's hand, and some seek his face. And there's a difference. And it said, This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face.

SPEAKER_05:

Amen.

SPEAKER_06:

And when you're chasing after God, then you can have whatever God says you can have.

SPEAKER_05:

Amen. And the the face the yeah, the face of God is attached to the hand. But the face is is obviously more fulfilling.

SPEAKER_03:

Yep.

SPEAKER_05:

Um, you know, I I would like to have my kitchen remodeled.

SPEAKER_06:

I'm working on it. It's on the list.

SPEAKER_05:

But you know what I want? And and it would be so nice to stand in a kitchen with a new range, and everything works, and it, you know. But um, you know what I want more? I just want the kingdom of God. I want, you know, I I my husband could do that work. He he redid our last kitchen. He built us a kitchen, it was beautiful. When we put that house on the market, it sold in less than 24 hours. People were, you know, more than asking price because the kitchen was gorgeous, because my husband built that kitchen. You know why he's not building me a kitchen right now? Because he's working with the Harris County Republican Party. And every minute that he has extra, he's doing that. And I would rather save my country than have a great kitchen. I would rather pour into the people of our community and to our church. I would rather see you guys blessed than to have a new kitchen. And I know someday God will give me a kitchen, but you know what? There's a cost. There's a cost to serving God, and there's a but there's a freedom too. He could say yes to God. It is not free, nor does it pay for him to work with the Harris County Republican Party.

SPEAKER_06:

I'm not doing that to make people Republican. We're bringing the kingdom of God into that world. I'm leaking.

SPEAKER_05:

But y'all know that that is not a paid position.

SPEAKER_06:

No, it costs.

SPEAKER_05:

No, we go to galas and we give to other people's causes. We make friends, we believe in people, so we give to them. We are, we are sent ones into that world. But thank God we could answer that call because we had some financial freedom. We had said yes to enough things and no to enough things, and and so it's working. It's and y'all can have that too. Whatever God's telling you to do, you can say yes. You can say yes. All right, so now we're gonna move in. So there is this the idea, a biblical idea. Solomon. We talked about Solomon got to build the temple. He was brilliant. Uh, and in the in the former part of his life, especially, he was after God's own heart until later he was pulled away by women. Men be careful. But um, but he was the wisest person with money and the richest person. And and when people saw how he did things in the kingdom of Israel, they were, their breath was taken away. They were so amazed with how much wealth and how he managed the wealth. So we can learn something when we read Proverbs. Proverbs is one of the greatest wealth management books of the entire Bible. Assign that as your homework. Start reading it now. But there are some, there are, you'll hear a lot of Proverbs throughout our messages in the next few weeks, but but contentment. Better is Proverbs 15, 16, better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure with trouble. No matter how much money you have, you're gonna have to learn to be content and joyful in yourself. Paul, the apostle Paul put it like this in Philippians 4. Uh-huh. I've learned in whatever state I am. This is verse 11, Philippians 4, 11, write it down. I've learned in whatever state I am, whatever state I am to be content. He wrote this from prison, by the way. He did not have a new kitchen. I know how to be abased and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I would love to be able to tell you that our God, and I do believe God shall supply all my need according to his riches and glory. He takes care of me in grandstyle. But you know what? I gotta be content no matter what the devil has thrown at me in my life, no matter where I am. My contentment lies with God alone, and I put him first.

SPEAKER_06:

And uh You know Martha Stewart when she was in prison? I think she had a really nice kitchen in her cell. I'm just I'm just saying maybe she did.

SPEAKER_05:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_06:

I think the other prisoners were jealous.

SPEAKER_04:

She did not ask me to come visit her. First Timothy 6. If you have your Bible, turn there.

SPEAKER_05:

This is this is something we we don't talk about enough. Now, godliness with contentment. Everybody say with contentment is great gain. Great gain. I can gain more in life by being happy where I am than by desi coveting something I don't have. Geepe puts it like this: success is when your earning outpaces your yearning. Godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into this world, certain we can carry nothing out. Having food or clothing with these shall we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich, just for rich's sake, it says they fall into temptation and a snare. So we have to be careful about scams and get rich quick schemes. We have to know the people that we're doing business with. If we're going to invest, we want to know that those people are believers, so we can be equally yoked with them. If we are, so you know, there are just things that just con uh principles here that are rich. First Timothy six, I started reading in verse six, and now I'm in verse nine. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money, people misquote this money is not the root of all evil, but loving it, loving it, lusting, coveting other people's money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Every problem, so many of the problems in our society now, and why I believe God invented capitalism. Yes, I believe God invented capitalism and not socialism, is because socialism is based on greed and coveting of what someone else has. And capitalism is based on uh finding a way that I can meet other people's needs in the marketplace so that they can pay me for what I know or what I can do and bring to them. And then I can serve someone else and be rewarded for my service.

SPEAKER_06:

Capitalism and entrepreneurs, they create value. They take something that has one level of value and they add something to it and create new value. And that's that's really the ideas, the concepts, the insights that Dr. Oral Roberts was speaking of. They're God ideas, add value and create wealth.

SPEAKER_05:

Yes. And so in that way, the again, the blessing of the Lord makes one rich, but that's not my goal. It's just to buy product.

SPEAKER_06:

What about the ungodly rich? You see people with all kinds of stuff out there, that immense wealth out there, and they don't serve God. And how do they get that? And what about my next door neighbor who's got that nice boat? And the truck, have you seen the truck?

SPEAKER_05:

My neighbor has a Porsche. I know, I know, it's really cute. Um, but you know what? Um when when I it rains on the just and the unjust. There is wealth on this world, it's raining down. Some people, it's like random. Why do they have all that? And and why, and I'm here I am serving God. And so the devil can get in your mind. Anytime you start to be indignant about somebody else's blessing, that is the devil talking to you. You need to get up and squish that like a bug. And uh, here's what will help you squish it. And I'm not gonna read James five because we'll be here all night tonight, but write that down as a prescription. If you are tempted to be covetous of other people and their blessing, or you're just mad at Bill Gates. Sometimes I'm mad at Bill Gates. Not because of his wealth, but because of his terrible policies that ruin our country. Um, but James chapter five is your prescription. James chapter five. It talks about the ungodly rich, that actually their wealth is not a blessing to them. It's it's corrupted, it's like a cankerous sore of torment on them, and it actually is not a blessing. And when you when you really see rich people without God, you will see that this is the case. It's actually eating their soul.

SPEAKER_06:

They're destitute without God. They chased after riches and they got it. They arrived at their destination and they're missing the very thing they were created for.

SPEAKER_05:

So read James 5, read Psalm 73. Read Psalm 73. And yeah, I was really tempted because it looks like they're full up and they have everything they want. But I didn't I didn't realize until I went to the sanctuary of God. Then I understood, whoa, I understood what was important all of a sudden. So those are your prescriptions if you feel covetous. It's okay. We all have those temptations. That is just inhuman nature.

SPEAKER_06:

And when you're busy trying to keep up with your next door neighbor, keeping up with the Joneses, as it were, you know, you look at what they have in their driveway and what kind of house they have, and then you think, well, you know, I deserve just as much as they do. And then you then you go get those things, you get the loan, you put it on the credit card, and then you find out how they got it. And you just realize then that they were broke at a higher level, and now I'm broke too.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

And now I'm stuck and I can't obey God because I have this mortgage, this note, this credit card debt, and I can't obey.

SPEAKER_05:

What if God wanted you all of a sudden there was some reason why you needed to homeschool your child? Would you be able to do it?

SPEAKER_06:

Or pull them out of public school school. We did that.

SPEAKER_05:

We had to pull our kids out of public school, and we were like, what are we gonna do with them?

SPEAKER_06:

We pulled them out without a plan. We were excited, yay, we pulled our kids out of public school. And then, like, the school year is approaching, we're like, okay, what are we gonna do? I don't know. Are we in a homeschool? No, we can't homeschool our kids.

SPEAKER_05:

They were against that.

SPEAKER_06:

That's for other people.

SPEAKER_05:

They were against that plan.

SPEAKER_06:

I don't know if we would have survived that. And so we started looking at private schools, and then I realized the cost of that, and I said, Oh dear God, what have we done? We have three kids, and the cost of this, but God made a way. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow with it. He gave us an extraordinary discount on our kids because we love God and serve in the ministry, and that school honored the ministry. And other blessing, other financial blessing we'll talk about in our income time. We'll talk about these financial blessings. We were able to put our kids in school, and it just works because we were seeking after God's kingdom.

SPEAKER_05:

Rob Geyer put seven kids through private school. And I know he's only got one more year left. Praise God. But it's a blessing of the Lord. We could say yes.

SPEAKER_06:

Overall, tonight we're talking about the kingdom plan, the roadmap to kingdom wealth. And I know these are big picture things. We're gonna get into some more nuts and bolts, some practical things that'll help fix things in your life if you'll make the adjustments that are coming on the following Wednesdays. Um, but the big thing that we want to hit here tonight, and I don't think I can hit it any better than Oral Roberts, you know, it's good to have a plan. We can't do anything without a plan. Again, Proverbs. Proverbs 21:5 says, the plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty. The plans of the diligent lead to plenty. And then there are those of everyone who is hasty, and that's surely to poverty. Being quick and quick to do something without thinking it through, have a plan. If you've got a if there's a husband and wife, have a plan together. Do things together. Seek God about these things and come up with God's plan of action for that. But we don't do things without a kingdom plan. Um, tithing and giving. Honor the Lord with your possessions and the first fruits of your increase, so you so your barns be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine. So we're we're honoring God. We're loving God with our tithe, with our offering, we're loving him with that.

SPEAKER_05:

It's an active love. It is an there's no honor without sacrifice.

SPEAKER_06:

We we we talk about these things regularly in this church. You hear about this all the time. 2 Corinthians chapter 9, God loves a cheerful giver. He who sows sparingly reaps sparingly. And he who sows bountifully reaps bountifully, but let each one give as he purposes in his heart. Your giving is between you and God. Don't let anyone ever coerce anything or put pressure on you to give anything. It is an act of love. It's got to be free will on your side between you and God to give. And I say, you can't even give until you've tithed. So you've obeyed him with the tithe. And when we don't tithe, Orl Roberts said we're we're we're we're hurting ourselves when we don't do that. You're cursed with a curse. We're cheating ourselves when we don't do that. The devour is rebuke for our sakes when we obey and tithe. If the devour is devouring our life, check up on our tithe. Are we faithful in the tithes? Are we faithful in the offerings? Are we honoring him and putting him first? Are we paying him last? There's a self-check right there.

SPEAKER_05:

You know, again with the ungodly rich. They're rich, but they don't tithe. So the devil might work on you. Well, they didn't tithe. He's in a different kingdom.

SPEAKER_06:

The devil's not devouring them.

SPEAKER_05:

The devil rewards his behavior.

SPEAKER_06:

Yep.

SPEAKER_05:

We want, but we're in a kingdom where God is a rewarder. How much more will he reward his kids when we just believe we send him that signal that we trust him, that we are trusting in him and not our own work, our own way, our own smarts, that own our own plan of education and good grade, all of that, and our company, our boss, and we're not trusting in any of that. We when we tithe, we send the message nope, I'm opting out of that system and I'm in God's kingdom, and it's a better kingdom.

SPEAKER_06:

I've been I've been on both sides of this in my life. I started out as a kid and tithing because my parents taught me I should, and then I decided I didn't want to tithe and couldn't afford to tithe later, and my life just got miserable. It didn't turn around until I flipped that mentality and got got back right and positioned myself. God wants to do something, and you heard old Robert say it. God said, I can't do it. I wouldn't be right in doing it until they get on the right side of this word, until they become the tire. All grace is available to you when you tithe, when you give. All grace. He supplies seed to the sower and bread to eat or there's a there's an abundance available to us if we'll just do our part.

SPEAKER_05:

Amen. My scruffy sailor cleaned up real well.

SPEAKER_06:

Another thing that I want to point out tonight is to pass the money test with God. In Luke chapter 16, verse 10, Jesus is talking here. He said, Who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in what is must much. Pastor just preached on this. And he who is unjust in what is least is also unjust in what is much. Therefore, if you have uh not have been faithful in right unrighteous mammon or money, monetary things, who will commit to you, uh who will trust you the true riches? So there is an actual test out there. God is watching to see how we respond with the wealth that the level of wealth that we have. He watched how the widow woman gave. He's watching how people do things, and he's looking for somebody who's going to be faithful in the little things so that he can then promote you and you can be ruler over the big things. Um, if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you your own, he said. Paul wrote, I don't seek the gift, I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

SPEAKER_05:

So that's actually a really deep scripture. We can we can apply that to our giving and our tithing. Uh, but we also have to be faithful in another man's, and we'll we'll talk about that in week three on income. But being diligent in your job, you have uh in in your career path, people give responsibilities to you. Are you diligent with that?

SPEAKER_06:

Speaking of being diligent. Um, in Proverbs 27, 23, it says uh to be diligent to know the state of your flocks and tend to your herds. And so that's speaking of the financial side, the flocks and the herds were their financial income of the day. And so we've got to be diligent to tend to those things and to know the state of those things. Take an accounting of what you have, what you spend, what's the outgo, what's your income. We're going to be talking about more of these things, but I encourage you after tonight, if you're husband and wife, if you're single, husband and wife, do this together. If you're single, get after it. Let's take an accounting. Know what comes in, know what goes out, know where it's going. Take an accounting of these things. Uh be diligent. Uh, we're stewards over all the things that God has given us. The earth is the Lord's, the fullness thereof. My income is his. Everything that I have and live in and drive and do, it's his. And we're stewards of this. And so let's be good stewards of this. Let's take in accounting.

SPEAKER_05:

That's a mentality too, that everything we have is actually God's.

SPEAKER_06:

Yep. When you're kingdom-minded.

SPEAKER_05:

Then it's not, then we're already dead to it. We're already, it's not already, it's already not ours. How is it how easy is it to spend other people's money? Have y'all noticed that? Has anybody ever given you like a company credit card? And you know, we good times. And uh, but but then if it's your money, you're like, oh, oh, I'm gonna be rude. And uh so, but it's kind of that that's kind of how we give, you know? This is God's money. We so let's there's a joy about it. There's really that's how we can be a cheerful giver.

SPEAKER_06:

It's God's let's hit a couple of high points here of what we have to look forward to. So next week, uh Jay and Selena will be up here and and they're gonna be covering uh, I'm not sure what we're gonna title exactly yet, but the concept is the leaks. What is fixing the leaks? What's going out? And so, you know, if you're filling a bathtub with water, the and and water's leaking out, and you're not able to fill it quick enough, the answer is not more money. The answer is not more water pouring in there. The answer is not I need a second or a third or a fourth job. We've got to stop the leaks first. And so they're gonna help you discover some places in your life where you can stop the leaks, where you can have some savings. Saving money is a big deal. It's like earning money only better because you're not having to work for it again. You're saving what you've already worked for. Uh so they're gonna help you discover the problems areas. And you heard Oral Robert say, get out of debt. There's a method to get out of debt. And I know that they've got some practical examples to help you get out of debt. Uh, the week after that, on the third week, we're gonna cover income and investing. And it's not gonna be all the answers, all the opportunities, all the ways you can have an income and all the ways you can invest. I'm not gonna give investment and advice exactly, but we've lived some things, we've done some things, and God has blessed us, and I want to share those things with you. I believe it'll help you. There are some kingdom strategies uh for you to have wealth in this life and to enjoy it. And uh we want to share those things with you. Uh on the fourth Wednesday, uh, Pastor Joseph Davis is gonna be here talking about budgeting. And so you've you've identified you've taken an accounting, you've identified some uh problem areas in your life and some debt and some leaks, and you're gonna solve those. You're you're understanding some new ways to have a more income that you don't exactly have to work for. Um, and and I believe the Holy Spirit's gonna help us with some ideas and concepts and insights of how to apply that in your life. And then the budgeting side is how to live by a budget, how to create one that you can live by, one that makes sense for you, one that's biblically based. Um we're gonna talk about saving, uh saving money. If you're not saving and having a rainy day fund, if you don't have money set aside, there's a strategy for that, a way to do that. Um, but when you have no reserves, the devil can just, one little thing can take you out. One little thing can take you out of position. So when God says, I need you to do this, you could be like, God, I I'm short this month. I can't. But if you had a six-month reserve, you could have said, Yes, I will. Remember, we said at the beginning, here we are, Lord, send us.

SPEAKER_05:

Raise your hand if you've ever been the most stressed in your entire life because you had a flat tire.

SPEAKER_06:

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05:

A flat tire should not be stressful.

SPEAKER_06:

A flat tire, the differential gear laying in the street.

SPEAKER_05:

It is when you're poor. So don't be poor.

SPEAKER_06:

A blown head gasket. You name it.

SPEAKER_05:

God has made a way of escape for you. All right.

SPEAKER_06:

And then the financial one, the supernatural increase. There are the natural laws, the natural things, the good wisdom about practical things about how to do this stuff. But then there's the supernatural increase that you experience when you're kingdom-minded. And again, Pastor said it at the beginning. We're gonna end with this tonight. You're sitting in a miracle, a financial miracle. And God did it for this church. There's financial miracles across this church. We've experienced financial miracles, and you're gonna hear about financial miracles. I believe it's gonna build your faith uh to make room for these things in your life.

SPEAKER_05:

Yes, Jay and Selena will teach that. Yep, on the on the very last one. Awesome. So uh I hope you'll come back. I hope did y'all get anything tonight?

SPEAKER_06:

Is that encouraging? Are we building your faith? Are you aiming at something? All right.

SPEAKER_05:

It's humbling because some of y'all, I mean, y'all are gonna be uh I'm looking at some very wealthy people. Hummy, very wealthy people.

SPEAKER_06:

All of heaven's assets are available to you. And so
