Glorious Way Church

The Joseph Generation | Pastor John Greiner

Pastor John Greiner

This message unpacks the prophetic picture of The Joseph Generation and what it means for today’s church. Drawing from Genesis 41 and Psalm 105, it highlights Joseph’s journey from prison to palace, his authority, wisdom, and provision, and applies those truths to believers called to walk in apostolic vision. Through vivid teaching on the signet ring, fine linen, gold chain, and second chariot, the message reveals how the church is empowered with authority, righteousness, prosperity, and resurrection power to prepare for end-time revival. Listeners are reminded that, like Joseph, we are sent ahead to preserve life, influence culture, and carry out God’s purposes with faith, generosity, and perseverance.

Speaker 1:

Put your Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad. Let's say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here on Sunday night. Thank God for the Holy Ghost. He's moved, but now the Word is coming. I've come to hear the Word. I've come to hear and have my faith increased by hearing the Word of God, and I thank you. The Word and the spirit are working together to give me victory in Jesus name, amen. Let's turn in our Bibles a couple of places Genesis 41 and Psalm 105, if you would Genesis 41, verse 37 and Psalm 105, verse 17. We'll start with that one after we read these verses.

Speaker 1:

This verse 37 is right after Joseph has interpreted the Pharaoh's dream. You know, pharaoh had this dream. None of his wizards and men of wisdom could interpret it, and so finally, somebody told him about Joseph and he called Joseph out of the prison where he had been at least 13 years, and he interpreted the dream, verse 37. And the thing or the interpretation of the dream was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants. And Pharaoh said unto his servants can we find such a man as this, is a man in whom the spirit of God is. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph for as much as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are. Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled. Only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph see, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand and put it upon Joseph's hand and he arrayed him in vestures of fine linen and put a gold chain about his neck and he made him to ride in the second chariot, or the identical chariot which he had. And they cried. Who cried? Everybody that was on the side of the road when he drove by. They cried unto him bow the knee, but my margin says tender father, so the Hebrew. There is a little bit misty, so you have to kind of dig to find the true. Yeah, it did mean to bow to him, but it also meant acknowledge him as a tender father, father. And he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph I am Pharaoh, and without thee, without thee, shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. That's pretty heavy, isn't it? And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphonopanea, which means a Coptic version of a revealer of secrets, or the man to whom secrets are revealed, the man to whom secrets are revealed. And he gave him the daughter of Potiphar, the priest of On. He gave him the daughter of Potipharah, the priest of On, and Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. All right, and then let's turn over. You can keep your place there if you would.

Speaker 1:

Let's look at Psalm 105 and verse 17. He, god, sent a man before them, israel, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant, whose feet they hurt with fetters. He was laid in iron. My margin says his soul came into iron. Until the time that his word came, the word of the Lord tried him, the king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He made him Lord of his house and ruler of all his substance my margin says possessions To bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his senators wisdom. Israel also came into Egypt and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

Speaker 1:

So tonight I wanted to share a message entitled the Joseph Generation. Three weeks ago I shared a message similar to this the Joseph Church. I made a case about this church and what revelation I've had over its calling and what kind of church it is and why we're involved with what we're involved with. You can't just be involved because you want to be. You've got to have an office, you've got to have an anointing to do certain things or you won't be successful.

Speaker 1:

And over many years I've studied Joseph Joseph. Here is a sent one, that is, the apostle is a sent one. That's the meaning of an apostle, one who is sent, and that meaning all of the church is sent. We've been sent into all the world to preach the gospel to every creature, not just the five-fold ministry, but all believers. We've been sent to reach our world. So in that sense, we all have an apostolic component to the anointing that's on our lives, component to the anointing that's on our lives. But then, beside that, then there's an apostolic, you know, anointing on this church. And I believe we are the Joseph generation. This church, gwc, is a Joseph generation, not the only one, but one. They're called the Joseph generation as a new generation. We're in on it as a new generation, we're in on it. So, um, it was prophesied over years ago that we're an apostolic vine with a prophetic river and of course I had already got it already been dealing with me about a difference in my ministry compared to where I came from.

Speaker 1:

I came from brother ostein's ministry. I sat under his ministry for 15 years and I functioned as an associate pastor, traveled with him extensively all over the world, different places, I got involved with a lot of different things. And you know, but I'm not Brother Osteen and I'm really not. I mean, I can't say that he's the major. I can say he was the major influence, but not the only influence. And you know, god gave me the ship channel dream where I'm on the ship channel and I'm on this boat and it's a vessel that's carrying a blend of oils. The ship channel has got all those refineries and I knew in the dream that I had a blend of all those oil that was in the refineries out there and that I'm not just a Brother Osteen anointing, I've got a blend of anointing because I was in a church that had a blend of preachers that came through. You take about RW Schambach and TL Osborne and Kenneth E Hagan and Charles Capps and Oral Roberts and you just start naming all of the men and women that the Word of faith is built on, and they've all contributed to this blend that I carry.

Speaker 1:

And you know God was already speaking to me about the apostle before I could admit it. I mean, I admitted to being a pastor, that's all I volunteered for. But I got drafted to be an apostle. This is an apostolic work. And Brother Osteen had in mind the phone ringing and somebody needing a pastor and him saying I've got just a couple. I'm going to send John and Gladys Griner to you. They'll be on the next plane to your city. That's what he thought. But no, god had something else in mind and you know that was kind of a challenge to go to my pastor and lay that out before him. And he did finally get comfortable with it, but wasn't instant. You know, are y'all with me now Talking about the Joseph generation? And so you know Joseph. You know he was more than just a financial supplier. He was a whiz at keeping books. He's an accounting whiz, I mean, he knew where the money was and he knew how to dole it out. But it was much greater than that and it's much greater here than just being a financial supplier.

Speaker 1:

It involves being a forerunner, a pioneer. It involves kingdom authority, generational positioning, distribution, gathering, advancing, finishing, furnishing, seeing, moving, teaching. It's a little different than just a local church. It's a little different than just a pastor in a local church. A pastor in a local church is for a little, you know location. It's usually a neighborhood. Maybe two or three zip codes at the max. We had 110 at one time, haven't counted lately, but it's probably about that. That's a lot of zip codes. That's a lot of zip codes, that's a lot of area.

Speaker 1:

And so we have apostolic symbolism, as seen in this word here in Genesis 41. So let's or Genesis 41. So let's go back to Genesis. I want to show you some things the apostolic symbolism and what that means. Why am I preaching this? Well, I frequently preach on the apostolic because you must know these kind of things in order to get an agreement with our missions, that we have our mandates. They seem bigger than what can possibly be accomplished, and I want to build your faith. I want to get you to look and expand your vision, because you think about Joseph.

Speaker 1:

He's in a little cell in the bottom of a prison and his biggest thing is he's helping the jailer with the other prisoners. That's all he has to do all day long. Anything the jailer wanted done, he was the doer of it. God was with him in the prison. But you know what? He was still in the prison and the Bible says his soul, his mind, just like your mind would came into iron. He began to wonder what is what am I? What am I doing here? I've been, I'm 30 years old and I got in here when I was 18, 17. I've been in here 13 years. Everybody's forgot about me. My family turned me in. They'd sold me out. What am I here for? What am I supposed to? You know, he had, he had one. He wondered a lot. His soul came into iron until when that word came to fulfillment. That he had and he and he fulfilled his ministry. So let's look at it. Uh, verse 42,.

Speaker 1:

Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand. So Joseph received the signet ring from Pharaoh. What is a signet ring? It's the auto pin. It's the original auto pin. So he got the signet ring, and just think about that. There's just one. So without it, pharaoh can't sign one document, not one document that comes through the kingdom can Pharaoh sign? Why? Because Joseph has got his auto pin. Joseph is in charge of the signature. He signs it. Boom, approved man.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you talk about authority. Glory to God, that's what kingdom authority. So when this church prays about anything that has to do with this nation, when we pray and we cry against people like Obama and we cry against people like Biden, and when we get together and we cry against the woke, and when we cry against all this garbage and we did for years and years it didn't seem like anything was going on. Well, guess what? It went. Something happened, didn't it? I'm not taking credit for it by ourself, but that's the type of anointing and praying it takes to change things. Everybody say kingdom authority.

Speaker 1:

And so here in Psalm 105, keep your place there in Genesis. You'll probably have to go back and forth between Psalm and Genesis there. So Psalm 105 says he made him ruler, lord of his house and ruler of all of his possessions, I mean his entire wealth. You talk about wealthy. I mean the Pharaoh's wealthy man. He's got, but not only that, he made him ruler of his own personal wealth, just like that. He's a prisoner, never heard of the kid. And now, suddenly he went from the prison to the palace. He went from the bottom to the top overnight, seemingly, but it wasn't overnight, was it? Some of the things that we're getting involved with seem sudden. It seemed like, oh my goodness, how did this happen? It's been happening for 30 years and it's just finally manifesting right now. Our word has come. Are y'all with me now? And you're involved in that.

Speaker 1:

If you're a member of this church, you've got part and parcel of every bit of it and I want you to know that. I want you to step up and I want you to begin to see and I want you to stretch your faith. I mean, you know, brother Osteen used to have Stretch Armstrong. Anybody remember Stretch Armstrong, his little doll, you know, and he'd get up there and he had Stretch Armstrong. He'd get up there and say I want you all to stretch your faith. Remember that Stretch Armstrong's little elastic arms would go out all the way with the Brother Osteen. Stretch your faith. Well, we need to stretch. You know, paul said I'm stretching toward the finish line. I'm stretching to hit the tape before everybody else. We're going to have to stretch ourselves to see things the way God sees them and not the way it looks. Are you with me now.

Speaker 1:

So he said here he made him Lord of his house, ruler of his substance, to bind his princes at his pleasure. Whose princes are they? Well, pharaoh's princes. He had a hierarchy, he had a government, he had senators. Teaches senators wisdom to bind his princes at his pleasure. Now, when you see the word bind, you think handcuff, you think tie up. But that's not what it means. It means to gird, it means to set an array, it means to arrange in order to bring order to the government of Pharaoh. Pharaoh wasn't just, yeah, he's the ruler, but he's got a whole group of people, senators, out there that have to that actually in touch with the people, and they all have to be governed and looked after and they have to be held accountable. And so he is able to set all of that in order in divine order at whatever his pleasure is. He and he alone. He doesn't have to check with Pharaoh before he sets some people in order and holds them accountable and maybe fires them for doing a crummy job like what's going on right now. A whole lot of them are getting fired, all the ones with big mouths that want to criticize the president. They wind up without a job. Well good, they need to go.

Speaker 1:

I want everybody in agreement in our, in our government, so uh, to bind or to, to, to actually uh, gerd, harness, order, set in array. Everybody say GERD, harness, order, set in array. That's our job right now. That's what we're doing politically. That's what we're doing. We're doing this in Harris County. We're going to do this in the city of Houston. We're going to do this in the state of Texas. We're going to do this capital by capital, by capital. How in the world could you pastor? You've gone crazy. No, I haven't. I've got a vision. I I see what God has done and we just said yes, that's all. That's the only thing we can say that we've done is say yes to it. So To bind these senators brought and it speaks of a paradigm shift in power structures politically, financially, socially and spiritually.

Speaker 1:

You think about a place like Egypt, which was away from God. They're not a covenant nation. They don't believe in the same God that Joseph believes in. They worship a false God. They did at that time, they still do. I mean I know there's a few Christians there, coptics and stuff, but I mean as a nation they're Muslim and they weren't much better back then, but yet because they blessed Joseph and they blessed Joseph's family. They enjoyed such prosperity for seven years that they just heaped up the blessing, they heaped up the crops and they made plans for when, finally, their sin was going to cause a famine. And that's what Joseph got wind of. He said there's going to be seven years of plenty and seven years of famine, and you need somebody during the time of plenty to get everything in order to get through the time of famine, because there's going to be a lot of death and destruction. If you don't do it, well, who else can we appoint over this? But how about the guy? The guy, the hearer of secrets? Let's get this guy in charge.

Speaker 1:

Think about the favor that came on Joseph. And who gave him the favor? God gave him the favor with the commander-in-chief of the entire nation. Are you all with me now? Paradigm shift in power structures. And they were blessed. And see, that's that kingly anointing that he got, that's the apostolic anointing. All right. And then it said verse 42, going back to Genesis.

Speaker 1:

So he put the signet ring on and he arrayed him in vestures of fine linen or silk. My margin says silk. I like silk. I think silk is cool. I like it better than linen. Linen is kind of stiff and when I was an altar boy, I had a linen top that I wore to mass and it kind of stuck out. It looked like a pregnant woman's dress. And I, you know, when you're 12, you you're really embarrassed about that kind of thing. You really don't want to look like a pregnant woman. And he couldn't even use the word pregnant. That was dirty to say pregnant. You couldn't say pregnant, had to say with child. But anyway, I don't care for linen, I like silk. Silk is better, I go for the silk. So he got this. So what is that? Well, linen is priestly garment, See, it speaks of righteousness, purity, nature of Christ.

Speaker 1:

And he's there to teach the senator's wisdom, to teach wisdom. He's there to teach the political class wisdom. They don't have godly wisdom. They're going to try to get through this time of plenty and they're going to try to pluck off all this money that's coming in for themselves and they're going to try to take it for their districts and they're going to try to put the pork where they're from. That's what's going on right now here. All these all and congressmen I mean, they get up to Washington, they quit worrying about the whole country and now they just worry about who elected them and they want to bring the pork back to their district. Well, you know what we got to get rid of that attitude? I'd like to get rid of all the pork. We don't need pork period. What we need is a slim, efficient machine instead of this big bloated thing. But see he's, he's getting this. He's teaching the senators wisdom.

Speaker 1:

He's teaching them because he's coming from the place of a priest. That's what priests mainly are. They represent God to man and man to God. You've got to have a go-between. You have to have someone to teach you the principles of God's Word. I mean, you know, you take somebody and say, oh, I don't need a pastor. Well, that's a fool, because you're going to.

Speaker 1:

It's not all about book learning, it's about an anointing. It is about an office that has giftings with it, that brings a. I'm telling you what I'm preaching. What I preached this morning knocked devils off of people, had a young man come up crying over his sins at the end of the service. He got saved just because I was preaching. I was preaching about the devil and demon powers and it knocked the devil off of him and he came up weeping. He's been here several times and today he got saved. Him. And he came up weeping. He's been here several times and today he got saved, wasn't any? It wasn't a particular message that did it, it was what the anointing? So, and then, of course you know they. They lined up on the road and said they, they bowed before him but they said tender father, see, not Adolf Hitler, not Joseph Stalin, not a megalomaniac, not a dictator, he was a father figure.

Speaker 1:

I mean, the heart of the apostolic is fatherhood. The heart of the apostolic is being a father. Apostolic is being a father. We have tremendous need for fathers in our culture. Fathers are missing. Fathers are busy, working 80 hours a week and getting beat down. And and now the economics have been arranged by the liberals and the left wing and the globalists so that both parties have to work in most cases. In order just to even afford life as it is, almost every couple has to work and has to let other people take care of their children. It's not God's best. I want to get this country back to where it was, and I believe it can happen before Jesus comes. At least we ought to be trying to get it that way To teach his senators wisdom and to bring to them an example of a father. You know, in first Corinthians 4, 15, paul said you know, although you have 10,000 instructors in Christ, yet you have not many fathers. Truly, I'm a father to you because I've begotten you. I've begotten you in the name of Jesus. So he was a father. The apostolic is a father anointing. It's fathering anointing, amen. You get anything out of this? Tonight, talking about the Joseph generation, everybody say I'm a member of the Joseph generation. All right.

Speaker 1:

The next thing he did is he took. He took and put on him a gold chain. I don't know where he got it, maybe off one of these NFL linemen, I don't know. You know these kids in college. They get so rich now that they buy the gold chain. Before they ever even go into the NFL they come up on draft night with a gold chain on them. They already made a million dollars by that time. I mean, I'm talking about one of these big ones. I mean, look like you know a garden hose running around there. That's got to cost $50,000. I'm probably underneath. But he got a gold chain around his neck, which symbolizes great prosperity.

Speaker 1:

That was entrusted to him, to his stewardship and he had to use it to provide for the others of his nation when and we know it was coming in seven more years there's famine coming. So he had to use it to where he could bless the people. He didn't just give it away either, I mean, you know he had that piled up, but he provided places of refuge and provision in the midst of famine. And a good word for that is procurement. The apostolic is a procuring anointing. It's a gathering anointing. We're gathering resources for the end time harvest. There's an anointing to gather money and funds. And we've gotten on the edge of it. But we're going to, in the next period of time, we're gonna come into the fullness of that anointing, to where there's gonna be a lot more money coming in to fund what we're doing. It's gonna I mean what we're doing, we've already committed to doing it.

Speaker 1:

So God cannot not supply the need. We put all the pressure on the word and we have to resist feeling the pressure on ourselves. I know James feels this pressure a lot and he has to. Every time he, his mind, starts worrying Claire's and they start getting, you know, feeling a little weighty Sometimes, jay and Selena and our staff, they start feeling a little bit under the pressure. Well then, they know how to roll it off. They know how to roll it off there. It's not on them. The pressure is all on the word, the word and what we believe and what we say. That's where all the pressure is not on us, not going to break us down, it's not going to break our health down.

Speaker 1:

Everybody say gold chain, everybody say procurement. See, it's a transfer of wealth. You know all the wealth transferred. In the end he bought all the land of Egypt and it all belonged to Pharaoh. Pharaoh owned all the land. All the people had to sell their land to get the food to eat that they had stored up in the time of plenty. And so what does that mean? It means a transfer of wealth. There is a transfer of wealth anointing in the apostolic, the wealth of the wicked is being heaped up and laid up for the just so that we can have the money it takes to reap this end time harvest. You all getting this tonight, praise God.

Speaker 1:

I read about a guy by the name of RG Letourneau and during World War II he had a heavy implement, a company where he made big machines like road machines you know earth movers and stuff. And when the war broke out, you know well they had to have. The industry of America had to be appropriated by the federal government. They act like Trump is like turned on everybody just because he's buying 10 percent of Intel chip maker. But I tell you, roosevelt did a lot more than that with GM, ford and and Chrysler. I mean they turned our entire industry into a war machine. And most of you weren't alive I wasn't alive, but I've read extensively about it. I mean we had to do it. I mean, if we hadn't taken control of our, what do we need with refrigerators? What do we need with washing machines? We've got to have planes. We've got to have tanks. We've got to have guns, equipment to fight a war.

Speaker 1:

I'm liking Trump's renaming the Department of Defense. No, we're not on defense, we're on offense with Department of War. We're going to be thinking about wartime. We want people that are trained to do warfare. We don't want people to go to the end of the service to get a sex change or have a gender affirming care. I mean that's so stupid. I mean it just it's amazing where we are. But anyway, we're getting back. We're getting it back. Getting it back, but this transfer of wealth.

Speaker 1:

So he, letourneau, was at the right place at the right time. They needed his earth moving equipment and all those islands. We had to build strips, airstrips, all the way in the Pacific, away, you know, from Hawaii. You know Hawaii was about the last island we had a strip on and you couldn't fly from Hawaii to Japan, and so we had to capture those islands that were mostly occupied by Japanese and we lost a lot of soldiers in that war, the islands. But on every one of those islands we built airstrips, airports.

Speaker 1:

For those B-29s took huge. A B-29 was. So if you ever see a picture of a B-29 versus a B-17, it makes the B-17 look like a toy. The B-29 was massive. I mean, his tires are this tall and when it lands it lands with such a force that the concrete has got to be really thick, it's got to be reinforced with steel or it will break apart. And they had to have a big log run ray. That thing was so huge and that's what it took to carry the atom bomb. Now that was before they knew they had the atom bomb. The atom bomb was secret, so they had this B-29. It carried more payload than any other bomber had ever been designed by anyone. But it took all of that equipment and Letourneau was the one that supplied the equipment.

Speaker 1:

And he became very wealthy. But he was a Christian. God gave him the design of this earth moving equipment and he was always a tither. And then he got richer and richer. So he started giving more and he started giving more and you know, at the end of his life he gave 90% and kept 10%. He gave 90% and was rich on 10%.

Speaker 1:

See, that's the kind of spirit we need in the end time, church, we've got to have generosity. It's not optional. That's why I encourage brother Mark. Sometimes he almost wants to apologize. Oh, pastor, I didn't mean to take. I said no, you're preaching right along. What I need? I need these people. They need to get a revelation of generosity. They need to get a revelation of the blessing that comes from tithing and giving. I mean not just tithing, it's giving over and above. It's what it's going to take. And if we approve ourself, when we don't have that much, when much comes in, glory to God, our 10% is going to be plenty for up for us to live on in abundance. Are y'all with me now if I say the gold chain is mine.

Speaker 1:

All right, then the last one is the second chariot. Identical chariot, identical to the first one. He had a second chariot. It literally means a duplicate of the original, exactly the same and moving in the same power that raised Christ from the dead. Let's just put it like that we're moving in the same power that raised Christ from the dead. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12, 12,. He said surely the signs of an apostle were wrought among you with all patience and with signs and wonders and mighty deeds and some of the things that we're involved with. Yeah, there's signs and wonders, all right, but there's mighty deeds, but it takes what Patience, and we've had to be patient. We've had to be patient through years of leanness, years of it seeming I never forget.

Speaker 1:

You know, when we were in Seventh-day Adventist Church, I was thinking about our history the other day, just thinking about what we've gone through as a church, and we were basically kicked out of the church. Down the street it's Christ Church Baptist Now we had leased that from Champion Forest Baptist. They only gave us 90 days to move and I mean we came right up against the 90 days. It was all we could do to get out of the building. They were just so ugly and so rude. I mean you'd think we were communists or something or Muslim or something. You wouldn't think that we were brothers in Christ. I mean they treated us like. But I forgave them. I mean I'm just reporting, I'm not complaining. So we did move out.

Speaker 1:

We had to move into the Seventh-day Adventist church, the 11th hour. God opened that door and we were there on Sunday. They were there on Saturday For four and a half years. I didn't think we'd ever get out of there. I mean it was so it was hard to be there. We were not welcome.

Speaker 1:

The only person in that whole place that liked us was Dr Pagani. He was the chief of, he was the head deacon, really a wonderful Indian man. He was a doctor, medical doctor, loved Brother Osteen because he knew Brother Osteen was a big, you know, had India on his heart. I said, oh yeah, I've been to India many times myself and so I had favor with Dr Pagani. But you know, here we were, we couldn't advertise with a sign, except on Sunday, early Sunday morning, and I think Stan was with Jay and Lee for a while.

Speaker 1:

They would bring the sound equipment in the back of Jay's excursion. Jay had a big old diesel excursion. People criticized One lady at the church had criticized Jay for having that excursion and that's the only vehicle big enough that you could put everything in. It wouldn't get wet. We can't haul it in a pickup truck, you idiot. What do you expect? We're trying to get this set up for Sunday service. What's the big deal? What's you know? Anyway, sometimes I wish I was something other than a pastor. I didn't say idiot, but I felt like criticized.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, they'd get there at six o'clock in the morning on Sunday morning, put the sign up, put the sound system together and everything, get it all ready for church Sunday. We were there Sunday morning. Sunday night we kept it over till Wednesday night service and Wednesday night we would break everything down and we'd come back Thursday night prayer. But Wednesday night we broke it all down, we lost all the sound and put it in storage and everything. Then they took it over Saturday and they had it Saturday. Then we'd move in and repeat the whole thing on Sunday.

Speaker 1:

So anybody who's out in the town looking for Glorious Way Church they didn't see us unless they came on Sunday. Who looks for a church on Sunday morning? I mean, usually you go some other time to find your church. You're not going to go Sunday morning looking for a church and so I mean it was a red letter day anytime we had a visitor. So anyway, one Easter I think it was our last Easter Sunday morning we had. By that time we'd built up to about 150 people Sunday morning We'd had pretty good crowd decent, and uh, so we're coming for coming to Easter. You know we're looking forward to Easter. Easter is a big deal. Easter Easter's man, that's your big deal. That's where you you're going to have visitors on Easter.

Speaker 1:

And so Dr Bergani called me and said oh, pastor. He said I almost hate to ask you. I said what? What do you got what? You can ask me anything, go ahead. Well, pastor, so-and-so blockhead wants you to uh move out of the sanctuary on Easter Sunday morning. They've got a special service they want to have in the sanctuary Sunday morning and would like you to be in the youth area in the fellowship hall on Easter Sunday. I said what I said we're paying all this money. You've signed the lease. I mean we, we have no contractual reason to move out of this. Why would he do that? Why would he ask me to just give up my Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is the biggest Sunday of the year. If we're ever going to have anybody visit, it's going to be Easter Sunday morning.

Speaker 1:

And so I went, I started railing and of course the guy was just, he hated doing what, the position he was in. And I, the Holy ghost, stopped me down and says it's not his fault and I said I'm sorry. I raised my voice, I said I said you know what? I don't want to do it, but the Holy ghost told me I had to, so I will, and that was it. And we, we had Easter Sunday. And that in the middle of me, and some of you are shaking your head, you remember, you know, we just had. I'm telling you, it's just like you're just forced to eat dirt, you know.

Speaker 1:

And I was thinking about all those years where it didn't look like any of this could possibly be true. It didn't look like any. There was any way that this was an apostolic vine with a prophetic. Are y'all getting anything out of this? I'm telling you, we've come into a season where there is a reaping. We're coming in where the tables are turning and we're coming in to a place where God has honored the faithfulness and honored the faith and the words that we've spoken and the prayers that were prayed. Are y'all with me now? Come on, lift your hands right now. Lord, we thank you. You're faithful to honor your word. You watch over it to perform it, and we do the believing. He does the performing. The signs of an apostle were wrought among you, with all signs and wonders, and with patience, though Patience was first, and then signs, wonders and mighty deeds. Everybody say mighty deeds. I'm telling you, every time there's a capital worship opened up in this nation, that is a mighty deed that this church has undertaken, and it hadn't been without a lot of prayer and sacrifice. It hasn't happened because, you know, just because, no, we've had to obey God and God has entered into it with us. We're the Joseph generation of this world. We have been sent ahead to preserve posterity with a mighty deliverance.

Speaker 1:

Let's go back to what he told his brothers, psalm Genesis 45. There came a day when Joseph you know, know the brothers came, you know their famine was hitting in canaan land. So you know, jacob it, who is now israel his name is changed from jacob to israel and he sent his other sons. He thought joseph was dead because they lied to him and they go to Egypt to buy corn, because Egypt's got lots of corn and they don't have any. And there came a day when they realized who Joseph was. The brothers who sold him into captivity, the brothers who betrayed him, had to face the music. Betrayed him, had to face the music. And he said verse 3, 45, 3,.

Speaker 1:

Joseph said unto his brethren I'm Joseph Doth, my father yet live. And his brethren could not answer him, for they were troubled at his presence. I can only imagine how troubled they were. I mean, he is the top dog. All he's got to do is say take these guys and take their heads off. I mean, all he's got to do is wiggle his finger and they're finished. You know, he has got literally the power of life and death over them, and they know it.

Speaker 1:

And they were troubled at his presence. And Joseph said unto his brethren come near to me, I pray you. And they came near and he said I'm Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. Now, therefore, be not grieved nor angry with yourselves that you sold me here, for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two years has the famine been in the land, and yet there are five years in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest, and God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives with a great deliverance. So now, it was not you that sent me here, but God, and he has made me a father to Pharaoh and a Lord of all his house and a rooter throughout all the land of Egypt. See, that's why God has sent this church.

Speaker 1:

We're the Joseph generation. We've been sent ahead to preserve a posterity. We've been sent ahead to preserve life, what we know. There's going to be millions of more people going to know what we know, and it's a very short time. There's coming a revival and Jesus is coming for a glorious church. We're the Joseph generation to this world. Come on, lift your hands and receive tonight. Glory to God, hallelujah. I hope you got something out of this. I enjoyed preaching it to you. I enjoyed sharing the word with you. Glory to God, hallelujah. I tell you, you're part of something much greater than yourself. No matter what you do around here, whether you just you know, help us in any way, shape or form. You know. Whatever it is that you do, if it's just, if it's just to come. You bring a supply of the spirit we all part alike. We're all going to get rewarded the same Hallelujah Amen. Come on, let's just lift our hands. Father, we thank you for the Joseph generation. We're honored to be part of that generation and we will fulfill our ministry in Jesus' name. Amen.
