Glorious Way Church

The Joseph Church | Pastor John Greiner

Pastor John Greiner

This teaching dives into the importance of living with purpose and direction, encouraging us to align our daily actions with God’s vision for our lives. It speaks to the need for clarity, consistency, and faith when facing distractions or setbacks, reminding us that real fulfillment comes from walking in His plan. When we stay focused on His calling, our lives carry impact, influence, and lasting significance.

Speaker 1:

The Bible's up and wave them around. Make Jesus glad, the devil mad. We'll get into the Word together. And let's say this together say Heavenly Father, thank God for Glorious Way Church. I'm glad I found my way here. I believe I've received tonight revelation that will change my life. I agree to make adjustments according to your word. I want to grow in the things of God. I want to be going in the right direction. I want to be going in the right direction with the right people, in the right place at the right time, and we'll give you all the glory for the good things that happen In Jesus' name, amen.

Speaker 1:

Let's look at Psalm 105, please Read this this week in my normal reading and it's kind of the history of Israel, and in fact the top of my page says God's goodness, and he is good, isn't he? And so here in verse 16, talking about God, moreover, he, god, called for a famine upon the land. He break the whole staff of bread, and that was over Canaan land because of their sin. You see, their sin filled a cup and the cup of bread, and that was over Canaan land because of their sin. You see, their sin filled a cup and the cup of judgment, the cup of reckoning. That's what you know, the whole world. We've got to, we've got to measure. There's a reckoning happening right now. All the people that cheated in the law fair and all the people that lied about our president, all the people that persecuted uh, his, all the people that persecuted his first administration. Some of them went to jail, you know, falsely accused. I mean, you think about all these rotten CIA and FBI people, rotten, and their sin has found them out, it's been exposed. That's reckoning, you know. And we're waiting for the rest of what God has in store for them. So, in this case, canaan land had a famine, verse 17,.

Speaker 1:

He, god, sent a man before them, israel, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant whose feet they hurt with fetters. He was laid in iron. My bargain says his soul came into iron. His soul came into iron Until the time, see, it came into iron. Until everybody say until Until the time, the moed that his word came, the word of the Lord tried him, the king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He, the king, the Pharaoh, made him Lord of his house and ruler of all his substance or his possessions. Substance or his possessions To bind his princes at his pleasure, at Joseph's pleasure. To bind Pharaoh's princes at Joseph's pleasure, see, I got to figure out who he is and his and I mean it kind of gets confusing if you don't break it down. That's what I'm doing breaking it down, teaching Joseph had power, see, to bind Pharaoh's princes at his pleasure. And teach Pharaoh's senators wisdom.

Speaker 1:

Praise God, israel also came into Egypt and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. Where were they before? Where they? He had left them? In the land of Canaan where there was a famine. So they came into Egypt, see, and he increased God, see, going back to he, who's he? You know, god increased his people greatly and made them stronger than their enemies, and so tonight I wanted to teach on this subject the Joseph church.

Speaker 1:

The Joseph church is an apostolic church and Joseph is an apostolic figure. He's a type and shadow of the apostle because why he was a sent one? He was sent ahead of Israel. God sent Joseph ahead to prepare the place for Israel to come later. And obviously, you know, god delivered. You know, just 70 people. That's all it was left of Israel at the beginning. It was just, you know, the 12 sons. That's all it was left of Israel at the beginning it was just, you know, the 12 sons and all that and the daughter and they. They left Canaan land and God and his wisdom said it's not good for them to sojourn in Canaan land. There's too much sin there, there's too much wickedness there, there's too much uh, too much bloodshed there. I'm going to protect them. I've got a place reserved for them in in Egypt. Egypt is evil, egypt has got sin, egypt has got. But Egypt, see, basically, was more conducive for them to multiply, which they did, and they multiplied and became greater than Egypt. God knows what he's doing all the time. Even when we don't quite understand everything what he's doing, he knows what he's doing. So Joseph is an apostolic type. He's a type of Jesus. He's a sent one. You know, jesus was sent. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. He sent Jesus to save us. He's a sent one. Jesus is the apostle and high priest of our profession. He's the perfect example of all the fivefold ministry apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher. It's Jesus. And so then, joseph is a proper type of Jesus. And God sent Joseph ahead of Israel. And then in Genesis, we keep your place there in Psalms. Turn over to Genesis 45, which talks about Joseph, and Genesis 45, verse 5.

Speaker 1:

Remember the brothers? They thought he's dead. See, they sold him into, you know, they left him in a pit. They left him, you know, and then they made up this story about the coat of many colors and they put blood on it and gave it to the dad. I mean, you know, joseph, you know if you're part of a dysfunctional family, well, joseph had a really dysfunctional family. He had a bunch of wicked brothers. The 12 tribes were a bunch of wicked freaks, I'm sorry to say. I mean they had golly man. You see what they did. I mean they were bad and they made up this story, you know, for their dad, and their dad thought that a lion had eaten him and everything thought he was dead. They assumed he was dead. They left him out there in a pit. But some people came by and got him and sold him into slavery in there.

Speaker 1:

And so later on, when the famine hit the peak, then, you know, israel sent his sons and go into, you know, buy some corn. I heard there's corn there, we need some corn. Go buy some corn. So you know, they got real. They got a reunion and they, you know, he, he, he revealed himself years later to his brothers. Boy, his brothers were scared. They were scared. Man, can you imagine realizing that the head honcho now over everything is their brother that they had so, that they had abandoned? I mean, this reads like quite a novel, but it's the Word. It's the Word. It's an amazing story of redemption and really it's a type and shadow of Jesus being reunited with Israel in the last days. They're going to finally wake up and realize they've been wrong about him all this 2,000 years, that he is indeed the Messiah, you know. And they're going to have to eat crow and there there's going to be some bitter, bitter tears that they, they shed at that reunion, just like there was here.

Speaker 1:

So, genesis 45, verse five, joseph is talking to his brothers and he said now, therefore, be not grieved or angry with yourselves that you sold me here, for God did send me before you to preserve life, verse seven and God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. See, he knew why he was there. He knew why he was there and really he had a hint of it when he's just a teenager, when he had that dream where the sheaves were bent, you know, bending over before them, and the sun and the moon and the worshiped him, you know, and his mother and daddy was offended at him. His daddy said my goodness, what kind of a dream is that? You think you think we're gonna bow down before you? Yeah, I'm not god. God gave me the dream and that you know.

Speaker 1:

So he had that word from God about his future and he didn't understand it, but it buoyed him, it strengthened him, even when his soul came into iron, when he went into prison for 13 years at least, and especially the last few years when the butler and the baker forgot about him and he still languished there. He didn't want to be there. His soul came into iron. He's just like you and I who would want to sign up to be in prison, who would volunteer. Yeah, lord, send me to prison, I'll be glad to go.

Speaker 1:

No, I mean, it's not easy. He said no, god sent me ahead to preserve a posterity, to preserve lives. And my margin says to put for you a remnant. Put for you a remnant. I mean, you know, joseph was planted like a seed. He was the first of the Hebrews to go into Egypt and look what happened. They grew into millions from Joseph's seed. Are you seeing this now? God is long-term. God looks down the road. We're always looking at things right now, but he's looking way down the road. So God sent me before you to preserve life and save them by a great deliverance.

Speaker 1:

And so God had sent a famine upon Canaan land and and and it, uh, it broke the whole support of the food system. The food system broke down because of the famine. Why? Well, there's no crops. Animals died. I mean, there's no food. The stupid guy you know running for mayor of New York thinks you can, the government can have a grocery store and own the grocery store. I mean, why don't you go back to USSR? They had grocery stores they owned and they were empty.

Speaker 1:

My brother spent time in the Ukraine. He went and made several missions trips. My brother and sister-in-law, bob and Sylvia, made several missions trips, trips. My brother and sister-in-law, bob and Sylvia, made several missions trips to. You know, they would fly into Kiev and then go down to another city on the Black Sea. And this was even after. This was even after the fall of the USSR and the Iron Curtain, and so this country now is supposedly free, but the vestiges of communism were still there and the people who were communists were still in control of all of the enterprises there and there was no food. And you go in the store and there's not any food in there and they would stay with people and be in their apartments.

Speaker 1:

These were church members of the churches. They were over there to help, you know, to preach the word and give them, you know, give them a little hand up and a leg up and teach them the word of God on a higher level so they could survive. But I mean, you know, they lived on borscht, they lived on potatoes, they didn't have any meat, they had just enough meat. You know, it was just like a really a big deal and one night, while they're there for three weeks, they would have a meal with meat. And that's the future of New York City. If this goofball wins, they're not going to have anything. They're going to be real disappointed. It might be cheap in price, but it'll be unavailable. I mean, what good is it?

Speaker 1:

So, anyway, the whole food support was broken and he repositioned Israel to a place more conducive to multiplication and Joseph supported his family. He was so important. He had a place for them to go. You know, pharaoh hated sheep and goats. He hated sheep. You know, cattle Cattle wasn't. Our version of cattle Cattle was sheep and goats and he hated that and he knew it. So he put them in the land of Goshen where it was more conducive to growing sheep and cattle and all of that and growing crops. And you know, they grew their crops on the Nile and they invented, you know, foot-powered irrigation and all that. And they were blessed. They were blessed the whole time. They were there until, of course, they were enslaved and then, of course, the blessing interrupted. So what does this have to do with the Joseph church? Well, it's a type and shadow of this church. This church is a Joseph church. It's a regional center and it was prophesied over me years ago apostolic vine, with a prophetic flow. This church doesn't exist because of that prophecy. This church exists because God gave me revelation along the way and that prophecy was part of why I was able to hang on to it when it didn't look like it was.

Speaker 1:

And I'm gonna tell you something, we spent a lot of years, as it were, in prison. It's kind of like the Seventh-day Adventist church. That was like four and a half years of prison. I mean nobody knew we were there. I mean we couldn't bust out of that place. Thank God some of you started coming during that time, thank God, and God hooked us up. But man, nobody knew we were there. It seemed like we were just like a secret. And we were there. It seemed like we're just like a secret and we didn't. I mean it was a red letter day when we had a visitor, you know just now, a whole lot of visitors, and uh, but, uh, uh, back in the year 2000,. We moved in there in 1999. God had told me in March of that year uh, just uh.

Speaker 1:

Five weeks after brother Osteen went to heaven, he told me to wake up the church and so I began to understand. The church needed to be awakened and I already knew that we were a regional center. God told me that in 1996. I didn't understand what it meant. I didn't understand, you see, because when you begin to get that, you begin to see yourselves in types and shadows, with Joseph is sent ahead. You begin to see that we're a church that's out in the cutting edge. We've been told to go ahead and preserve a posterity and we've been given inside information that, hey, we need to wake the church up. The church is asleep. Where is the church asleep? Well, they're asleep mainly in their understanding of Israel. And look at where we are now, 20 some odd years later.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you've got churches that are against Israel. They're speaking for the quote unquote Palestinians. They're just picking up the lie of the devil. No, I'm telling you, god, all you have to do is look at the map. Can you look at a map? What in the world? A Palestinian state out of Israel? Israel is a dot right. When you got a globe I've got a globe in my office I'll show you Israel. You can heart. You got to squint and you're going to make them give up land. They don't have any. There's nothing to give up. Are you nuts? Look at the next door neighbor. Look at you know all those nations. Saudi Arabia is huge. Let them have us Palestinians. They don't want the Palestinians. Let them have us Palestinians. They don't want the Palestinians. So anyway, and of course you know they're weak on the Holy Ghost. People want to. They don't. They're embarrassed about the Holy Ghost. They're embarrassed about the gifts of the Spirit, in spite of the fact that we've had this wonderful revival, pentecostal revival.

Speaker 1:

So everybody say a Joseph church it was. You know God told me it was a regional center. Well, a regional center is not a local church. And you know he woke me up to that. I started looking at our. You know he woke me up to that. I started looking at our. You know records and you know you start looking. You know one of the when we were preparing to build this building, when we had the other property. So this building was going to be down the street where the other subdivision champions crossing is, right down the street where the other subdivision champions crossing is, right down the street. On the other side of Hollister we own that 92.7 acres.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people have been in those days thought I was crazy, buy it. What in the world You're buying? 92. Hey, are you done? They left the church. See, they're short-sighted, they just want a little old church on the corner. See, they didn't buy in to the regional center. They didn't believe me. Well, I'm sorry for them. I know what I know and I'm going to go along with what God told me.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure they all thought Joseph was a nut job. They didn't respect him, they persecuted him. They didn't like him. They, you know your mama's favorite, your daddy's favorite, you know they, that's how it was. They didn't like, they didn't, they didn't believe me. Can you believe what he? That dream he had a guy, or what is he thinking? They didn't like it, but it was God, wasn't it? Sometimes it takes a while for God's plan to be evident to anybody. But you, you know, but anyway.

Speaker 1:

So, um, uh, in two, in the year 2000, I was out on my patio where we are live now today. Still, we still live there. I've got a nicer patio than I did back then. It's just it had a little shed roof over it. Now I've got a big old covered patio and, uh, and it's really nice to be out there. Except right right now it's not very nice to be out there. Don't laugh at me, but I bought an air conditioner and it's a rolling air conditioner. It's got this hose and it'll stick out the window and I've got my griddle heating up. I mean, it's really hot out there and even with the overhead fans it's hot out there. So I've got an air conditioner blowing cold air right on me while I'm doing my griddling.

Speaker 1:

I got a nice patio, but before that back then I was back there sweating one day and I stood up, you know, to kind of move around and pray and wipe the sweat off of me it's this time of year is really hot, you know and I felt something around my shoulders and I looked and I saw this many colors. I saw a glimpse, and I immediately thought of Joseph's coat of many colors, and there was this mantle, or this cape, or whatever you want to call it, around my shoulders and I heard it dragging the ground. I didn't see it though, I just felt it and that was my mantle, if you will. And a mantle is an authorization to act or to do. When you look up a mantle, that's an authorization. You know.

Speaker 1:

God gave Elijah a mantle, an authorization from heaven to confront the spirit of Jezebel, to confront sin in Israel, from the king and Ahab and Jezebel. He confronted them and came and pronounced judgment, said it's not going to rain until I say so. God told him to do it. See, he had a mantle on him and of course, he had great miracles. And then, of course, that mantle was and Elisha was his helper, and he helped him for a long, long time, you know, 20 years, and he said well, you know, ask what I'll do for you. He said let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. Well, that's a hard thing. You can't do that. You better keep your eyes on me when I leave. And he threw the mantle down. It's a symbol of the anointing. It's the symbol of the authorization from heaven to do the thing that God told you to do.

Speaker 1:

I don't care whether you believe it or not. I'm here to testify what I saw and what I know he gave me and he gave it to me. I didn't ask for it and I didn't. I just I signed up to be a pastor. I didn't sign up all this other stuff. He drafted me, you know. And if he drafted me, he drafted you Welcome to the army, praise God. And if he drafted me, he drafted you Welcome to the army, praise God. Why do you preach this? Because you've got to know what kind of church this is and why we're doing what we're doing and why we have success doing it. Because it's God's plan.

Speaker 1:

It's not about being a big, old, huge. I used to think it had to have a lot of people. No, it's got to have some people. That all are in agreement. So I have a vision of my mantle and then you know I don't know if it was the same day I have it written somewhere. I journal sometimes I don't journal as much as I used to right there, in that same backyard, the same patio, I had a vision one day of this platform and it looked like a boxing arena, maybe like I don't know, a big boxing arena, maybe about the size of this.

Speaker 1:

That would be a big boxing ring in the middle of this middle section. That would be large, very large. You, you know, you can run away from your opponent for a long time in a boxing ring that large. But it didn't have ropes, it was just like a. It was like a. It had that kind of springy floor to it, except it was way up on a platform. It was way up and where I, when I was standing on looking out, way in the distance, and it was way, distance down, it was kind of scary to get to the edge of it.

Speaker 1:

It just kind of I like I was more comfortable staying in the middle of it and that was my, my seat of authority, the seat of authority that God had given me all these years later, 2000,. I mean, it's been the year 2000, just the next year after brother Osteen passed, and this was God's way of of bringing some things, some seed that I'd sown in his ministry and service that I'd rendered, and God had said okay, you're faithful. Now here's, here's something that I'm going to call you to do, and uh, and so everybody say do see, that's an important word, that's an apostolic word, because prophets say and apostles do, and so, um. So he gave me wake up the church. And then he shows me my mantle. He shows me the vision of my, of the tower platform and my seat of authority. He shows me the vision of the tower platform and my seat of authority.

Speaker 1:

And then, in 2003, we were just starting this building, starting this construction, and God spoke to me about a dearth of the word. He said there's a dearth of the word. And I said, lord, how is that true? I mean there's church on every corner. Why is there a famine of the word? And I said, lord, how is that true? I mean there's church on every corner. Why is there a famine of the word? Seems like there's more. I mean, I know not all the churches preach the word, but there's a lot of them that do. A lot of them are good churches. Why is there a famine of the word?

Speaker 1:

He said your children don't know what you know and he wasn't talking about my kids, but he was talking about the next generation that we are losing, our generations. We are losing a generation of people that don't know what we know because we haven't. Number one, we haven't done a good enough job communicating. But number two, they have been seduced by the spirit of this age and they have hard hearing. Their ears are waxed over. They won't listen, they won't hear what we're trying to say to them. How do you get rid of that? You got to pray.

Speaker 1:

We finally got a young generation right now that are getting on fire for God. They're all over the country. My only concern is they're not getting filled with the Holy Ghost. I think they're going to. We're going to miss. We're going to miss again if we don't get these kids filled with the Holy Ghost, because they're not going to be able to get anything done with one arm tied behind their back. They need the Holy Ghost. Somebody's going to have to bring a demonstration of the Spirit of God. It's not this.

Speaker 1:

I like Charlie Kirk, but I mean, you know he's not full of the Holy Ghost. You know he's not. He's a great guy doing a lot of good, but he's reaching these kids and some of them are getting baptized, but I'm not seeing we're going to have to get involved. All right, so we have to support the family of God by preserving a posterity and save lives by great deliverance. That's a pretty big mandate on this church, my church, my mission. You heard James preaching that. We've got some t-shirts and we want you to take it to heart because you're all part of the same thing. We're getting involved with my God Votes.

Speaker 1:

My God Votes couldn't happen except for this mantle. It's an apostolic mantle. There have been people that have been trying to work on this kind of thing, but they don't have the office to do it. You have to have the office of the apostle to do that, you have to have the mantle, you have to have the authorization to do it and you have to have the mantle. You have to have the authorization to do it and you have to have the seat of authority to do it, otherwise it's just not going to work. Not going to work, just a whole lot of, you know, smoke and mirrors, if you will.

Speaker 1:

Joseph's life prepared him for his ministry. So I mentioned about the 13 years in prison here. He's like 16, 17 years old, sold into slavery Potiphar's house. He got, you know Potiphar is chief of the staff of the army. I mean he's like very important guy but he's got a crummy wife. You know he's married wrong and she's just nothing but a whatever I won't use the word. But she came after him. She cast her eye on Joseph and Joseph ain't going to have it. He's not going to do that. He's not. I can't sin against my master, I'm not going to do it. And so then she makes up a tale, accuses him falsely and he gets thrown in prison.

Speaker 1:

But when you see this, you know the bible says his soul came into iron. It's hard for him. He had to go back to what god had shown him. And the Bible says his soul came into iron until the time that his word came. What does that mean? Until the fulfillment of the rhema, word that he had through that dream. And so we've been through that and so we've been through that.

Speaker 1:

God gave me that word all those years and I had to stay, and we had to stay faithful to that and believe for something that was not really quite evident yet. It was just like I almost hated to teach on it, but I did it anyway. I taught on it. I kept getting revelation and I just didn't. You know this, god, this is your. See, I just put pressure on the word. I don't care about my reputation. People, people hear it. Some people just went he's full of hot air and just went on their way. Well, okay, that's fine. I'm going to keep giving you what I got from God and it's up to him for this fulfillment. And you know we're living right now in the fulfillment of things that I've been.

Speaker 1:

I had no idea it was going to look like this. I had no idea that it was going to look like my God Votes, where we're going to have, you know, capital worship and capital. You know James is leaving next week for Michigan. They're just starting up their capital worship, so we need to go and check them out and make sure they're doing things right and making sure that they have all their ducks in a row, make sure that my God votes and the things that we've learned in Texas, the thing we've learned in Louisiana and Oklahoma, get duplicated. You know it's a movement. It's not an organization, it's a movement, and Royce's son, you know, ryan, became a consultant for us, you know, right after COVID and everything.

Speaker 1:

And he said well, pastor, you're Google man. People, millions of people know your name, you Google. What are you going to do about it? So we had a Facebook. I don't know a thing in the world about Facebook, I've never been on Facebook myself. But, pastor, pastor John Griner, we're just about to hit, you know, 30,000 followers, just right on the edge of 29,600 followers. I mean, god, 30,000. It's amazing.

Speaker 1:

I go through there and there's all these people from all over the country are picking up things that we're saying, and Ryan is mostly what. He puts stuff on there. He has a different way of saying it so that it will cause people to engage, you know, and I'm just so amazed at his, you know, gift and. But I put something. I put my own post on there about Dodie a couple weeks ago. I wanted to honor Dodie, so I, you know, did what I did and ran it by him and he liked it. So, you know, I just wanted to honor her when she passed. But, you know, his soul came into iron until the time that his word came. It did come. It took a long time and, uh, he had to pass some tests.

Speaker 1:

In matthew 20 remember the parable of the, of the man who went up, got up in the morning and hired some guys at daylight and sent them out to the field to work, hired them for a certain amount of money, all day long they worked. And then he hired some more at nine o'clock Six o'clock in the morning, nine o'clock, some at noon, some at three o'clock, some at five o'clock in the evening. Six o'clock is quitting time. I mean that's crazy. And then he lined them up to pay them the last, the people that only worked an hour, and they got paid the same as the guys that worked all day long. And the people that worked all day long got mad. Oh, we deserve more. What didn't you sign up for this? I mean what's wrong? It's my money. I mean you agreed to work all day for this. You're getting it. What's wrong with you? Many are called and fewer chosen. Many are called, fewer commissioned, because they don't. They don't, they don't prove out.

Speaker 1:

During the qualification process he had to. I mean the word of the Lord proved him. That word was a great word, it was a majestic word about all these people, the sun, the moon and the stars worshiping him. The stalks are worshiping him, the corn stalks are worshiping him. The corn stalks are worshiping him. The wheat sheaves are bowing to worship him. That's a pretty grandiose word and he couldn't get you know proud over it. He had to live through it. We had to live through it as a church. We had to live through four and a half years of the Seventh-day Adventist church. It's like the church in the cave. It's like the church in the prison. And then the other in Matthew 22, he talks about the wedding feast.

Speaker 1:

And, sir, how come is it that you came in here with your regular clothes? You're supposed to have white clothes and he was thrown into outer darkness, the weeping and gnashing of teeth, because many are called, few are chosen. So the first thing was the lack of attitude. They had a bad attitude. You know, your attitude is going to get tested. Your attitude will get tested in a church like this, even more so than some normal local church. Why? Because we're dealing with demonic powers that are horrible and they want to knock you off target. They want to offend you, they want to get you to take me wrong. They want you to misunderstand almost anything they can. They'll twist things around. They'll have people come around.

Speaker 1:

We've got people kind of floating around the edges right now. I'm telling you what. They jumped on the wrong donkey when they jumped on me because they're going to wish they hadn't done anything. They're saying and doing things. They ought to shut up and go on down the road and act like they never came here to begin with. Then they come, circle around and try to disturb your peace. It's happened over and over in 30 years. I mean, it's just amazing.

Speaker 1:

People get flustered here and they leave, and then they won't leave you alone. They want to convince you that you're in the wrong place. You need to join them. You know what? That's just unhealthy. I'm going to see to it that it's unhealthy for them. Why? What do you mean? Well, I'm just going to turn them over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh, that their spirit might be saved in the day of judgment. It's really. It's really the velvet. I call it the velvet hammer. You know, because you keep doing that and being that way, you're going to finally get to the place where you hardened your heart so much that you could be lost. These people are saved. I know they're saved, but they're doing things that are evil, and so what I've done is I've just said okay, god, I'm turning them over to the devil. They want to live like the devil I'm going to give them, I'm going to let them live that way. It's very unhealthy, pastor. Why are you saying Because that's the kind of church? You said so Joseph's life.

Speaker 1:

See the first group. Their attitude was bad and said you know, you're not passing the test. Many are called, but they fall out for a lack of attitude and they're not going to be commissioned to do what God really wanted them to do. God really called them to do something and now they've disqualified themselves. Look at the Bible. How many times people have fallen out and they didn't finish their work and they didn't get to do what God called them to do. And it wasn't God's fault, it's their fault because they had a poor attitude.

Speaker 1:

The second one is lack of preparation. You know your lack of preparation. You're not going to put on your garments, you're not going to put on the white clothes. You're going to have to walk in righteousness. You're going to have to get your flesh under. You have to. Your attitude has got to be good attitude and you've got to get your flesh under. If you're not going to get your flesh under, sometimes it'll get you in trouble. And when you get in the flesh enough to where people start whispering, I'm going to come and I'm going to say hey, what are you doing? You're not living the Christian life the way it should be lit. You don't hardly see that in church anymore. People just do whatever they want to. No, not here. No, because if it comes around and I'm confronted with your lack of of Christian living and you're doing things that are ugly and things that are worldly, and guess what, we're going to knock on your door and say, hey, honey, stop it. Well, you know, we just have to have the preparation and the attitude.

Speaker 1:

So Joseph submitted to all the qualification process. He kept his heart right, even with that woman lying about him, and he kept his attitude right. He was faithful to be a doer of menial tasks in the prison. He was called and he was qualified and he was commissioned. And that's what my prayer is for for each of you that you're called and all of you are called. And but you're. There's a qualification process, and that's what discipleship is all about. That's what it's all about being accountable to other people who are able to get right beside you and to help you, to hold your hand, to tell you the truth when it's a little bit more awkward. I mean, I would rather not have to be the one to tell you. To straighten up, because usually when it's me people can't get over that and they just think that that's how I measure them the rest of their life and then they can't face me and they leave. So I'm glad to have other people delegated that can do that.

Speaker 1:

You know, we've got some really great leaders in this church and look around you. There's a lot of them right here right now, and when they say it, it's the same way as I say it Cause I. They don't say it with it, they don't say it in a vacuum. Almost anything and everything is going on as I know about it. So if some leader comes to you and says, hey, you need to maybe do this different, we love you enough to tell you the truth Now, just to alter this little behavior right here, it's the same as me saying it without me saying it. That way I don't have to do it. Saying it that way I don't have to do it. I can just hug your neck and I can just kind of act like everything's cool when it wasn't quite cool there for a little while. It's okay.

Speaker 1:

That's what we're here. We're here to disciple people. We're here to help people grow. We're here to help people be accountable in their lives. It's just a strength when you've got somebody. I had that when I was a baby Christian. I had people telling me when I was wrong and I endured that chastening, I endured that Correction Because it wasn't Mean spirited, it was loving. Everything we do we do with love, amen.

Speaker 1:

So Prophets say Apostles do. It's all about becoming Kings. We were talking about reigning in life as Kings. This morning we're talking about commanding your breakthrough. You know, this is a. This is a. This is the type of really the apostles anointing is a King anointing. That doesn't make you an apostle, it makes you part of an apostolic ministry. And let's look at Genesis 39, talking about the Joseph church. I like to teach on this from time to time. I've got another teaching called the Joseph generation. I've got another teaching called the Joseph Generation. I'll put that down and teach that one of these times coming up. I like to do that on Sunday night when I have plenty of time to develop the material.

Speaker 1:

Genesis 39, verse 20. This is talking about Potiphar's wife. This is talking about Potiphar's wife and Joseph's master. Verse 20, took him and put him in the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound. Yeah, that's kind of a high, that's. You know, that's like federal prison. That's kind of like Alcatraz, alligator, alcatraz. Go ahead. I double dog, dare you to try to escape? If the alligator doesn't get you, the water moccasin will get you. If the water moccasin and the alligator doesn't get you, the nasty water will get you, the insects will get you. They got mosquitoes bigger than a sparrow.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, joseph's master took him and put him in the prison, could not not bless Joseph. Covenant obligation, see, we see that word mercy. We think all mercy. No, it's covenant obligation on God's side. He protected him, he went before him, he anointed him in prison, showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph, hand, all the prisoners that were in the prison and whatsoever they did there.

Speaker 1:

He was the doer of it. There is the apostolic doer. He was the doer of it. What does that word do doer did. What does that mean? It means accomplish, advance, finish, procure, fulfill, furnish, gather, prepare, distribute. So you see, as a young man, a teenager in prison, he's the doer of it because God gave him favor and he did things that prepared him later on when he was promoted from the prison to the palace. That prepared him later on when he was promoted from the prison to the palace. He'd been doing that for 13 years in prison for a narrower audience. Are y'all getting this now? The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand because the Lord was with him and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.

Speaker 1:

So I mean, you know, you just never despise the day of small beginnings. You never. I mean, if you're a faithful over little God, make you ruler over much, don't ever gripe. It's just like you know brother Lavelle was talking about. Let's say, hey, listen, man, god is God's good. I mean, rejoice over what you've got, because there's more, there's all. If you're faithful over that little bit, if you're faithful over just that little opportunity, if you really do it with all your heart and do it as unto the Lord and not unto man and not for the purposes of being noticed and not for the purposes of being congratulated and winning some kind of you know, gold star and all of that kind of stuff. You just do it as, unto the Lord, I'm telling you, god keeps the books. It's just amazing how God rewards you, just amazing how God can reward you.

Speaker 1:

So my authorization to do was my mantle, my platform was my authority, and Genesis 29 turn over there real quick talking about glorious way church now and what you're part of, and it's yeah, I got the wrong verse, but it's 39.23. As GWC continues to do, god is with us. It's 39, 23. God gives us favor and God causes us to prosper. God causes us to prosper Just like he did. He's no respecter person. What he did for Joseph, he'll do for Glory Sway Church. He'll do for each one of you what he'll do for me.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I can't do anything by myself. Joseph couldn't do anything by himself. He had to have cooperation, he had to accomplish things with. Can you imagine having to have the cooperation of a bunch of hardened prisoners that are in the king's prison? I mean, you know, you got all these guys in there. I mean, they're in there too well. They're bad hombres, you know and he's got to get their cooperation. He gets it done and the keeper of the prison man, that guy knows what he's doing. He's doing stuff. I don't even have to do anything. I can just sit here in my office and put my feet up on the desk. Joseph take care of all that. He just take care of the whole thing. I don't have to do anything. And then one day, you know, he gets a phone call. Pharaoh says come on up to my house, let's get cleaned up. I've got a job for you.

Speaker 1:

Praise God, our best days are yet ahead, because GWC is a Joseph church and we've been faithful over these 30 plus years to do what he's called us to do. Come on, lift your hands and receive tonight. Praise God, I hope that the light shines a little bit, you understand a little bit more of what we do, why we do it and uh, and get a glimpse of the apostolic, because it's so vital for these days when God's churches get together we're, we're, we're, we're coming alongside all kinds of churches like ours, works that are like ours. It's amazing how many people we've met that God told them to wake up the church. I knew I wasn't the only one, but it's so good now, all these years later, to finally come up with people. See, 1999 to tonight.

Speaker 1:

This is 26 years. It's taken 26 years to finally find some people that are like we are. And they're out there doing what we're doing and boy I mean, we're grabbing ahold of each other and joining hands with them. Praise God. Isn't that awesome, isn't that exciting. Come on, let's rejoice. Thank you, lord, for the word of God. Hallelujah.
