Command Your Breakthrough | Pastor John Greiner
In this message, we explore the power of breakthrough and how to stand strong when the enemy comes against us. Using the example of David’s battles, it shows how God calls us to reign in life, speak His Word with boldness, and walk in our authority as believers. This episode challenges us to stop living as victims and instead rise up as victors, commanding change and breakthrough through faith-filled words and a heart aligned with God.
Reach down and pick up our Bibles today. Thank God for being able to be in the presence of people with like precious faith. You know, love plus unity equals miracles. Amen, praise God. All right, let's lift our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad. Say this together. Say, heavenly Father, I am so glad to be here. Don't take for granted this opportunity today. I believe that the Word of God and the Holy Ghost are working together in my life to bring forth milestones, and one of the major milestones of this year is my growth in the things of God. I'll never be the same. I'm coming up higher. I'm going over farther. I'm becoming a greater witness of your love and your power to this lost world. In Jesus' name, amen, you can be seated.
Speaker 1:Let's turn in our Bibles, first of all to 1 Chronicles, chapter 14. And then also Romans, chapter five. We're starting Chronicles. First it's talking about David. David has just become king of all of the kingdom, and in verse eight.
Speaker 1:And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, you see, he had been king over the southern kingdom when Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle. And then, just 72 hours after Ziklag you know Ziklag, the Philistines had come through and conquered everything, took everything. And just 72 hours later, you know he had to pray, you know he had to get over his emotions and he had to pray. He said, god, should I pursue, shall I overtake? And God said yeah, pursue and overtake, and you shall surely recover all. And he recovered all In 72 hours. He's on the throne of Israel, but he's only the southern kingdom, judah and Benjamin. It took seven and a half years of long war with the house of Saul and the house of David, until this moment. Now he's become king over the whole thing. And as soon as he became king, what happens?
Speaker 1:And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it and went out against them. And the Philistines came. You could say the Palestinians came. It's the same people. It doesn't matter whether they're Hamas or Palestinians or Arabs or whatever. You can have all these subsets of their names, it's all the same enemies, it's all the same devil. They've hated Israel and they always will, no matter what peace treaty is signed. Better be careful about a peace treaty, because they don't ever keep their promises. And so they came and David heard of it and he went out against them. And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim and David inquired of God, saying shall I go against the Philistines and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him Go up, for I will deliver them into thine hand. So they came up to Baal-parasim and David smote them there. Then David said God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand, like the breaking forth of waters. Therefore they call the name of that place Beoparasim.
Speaker 1:And so today I wanted to share a message entitled Commanding your Breakthrough, commanding your Breakthrough, your breakthrough, commanding your breakthrough. Romans 5, 17 says and let's read that before we get into the message, because it's really important. You know, this is one of the things the church at large is lacking revelation about their authority as believers. Romans 5, 17 says believers. Romans 5, 17 says for if by one man's offense death reigned by one, who's that talking about? Adam? Adam, separated from God, death reigned all those years. Much more. They which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, jesus Christ. And I like to amplify it Much more, much more. Everybody say much more, much more. They which receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, shall reign as kings in life through the one man, jesus Christ. That's God's plan for us to reign as kings in life, so commanding your breakthrough. See, after seven and a half years, david became king over Israel. He has finally the full manifestation of his anointing.
Speaker 1:Was he king before? Really, he was anointed king at 16. When the prophet Samuel poured the horn of oil over him, remember all the boys. You got one boy after another, after another. Jesse, you got any more boys? Well, I got one more. He's runt. He's out in the back, 40. Well, call him, get him in here. None of these are the king. And here's the most. You know, humble, young Nobody.
Speaker 1:He was not on anybody's list of rulers and God chose him, poured the horn of oil, but it took years. It took years where he had to really put himself in position. Later on he had to kind of hide from Saul. I mean, he had to avoid Saul. Why? Because he didn't want to be in a position to kill Saul. He didn't want to take that blood. He did not want to kill God's anointed Saul really had been disqualified but technically was still anointed king because he hadn't been taken down, and he said look, I'm not going to take his blood in my hand. He had two different times. He could have done it and he wouldn't do it. See, he had to avoid him, he had to kind of, but no more. He's not avoiding the enemy anymore, he's not avoiding a battle, he's not avoiding the adversary. Shall I go up? God said go up, for I've given them into your hands.
Speaker 1:And so the Philistines heard that he was king over the whole thing. They came to oppose David and God heard about it. See, how did I mean David heard about it? How did David hear about it? Was it gossip? Regardless of how it was, because he stayed close to God. I mean, he wasn't sitting on his throne getting a manicure. Hey, I need a full body massage. Get somebody in here to give me a rub down. You know he wasn't sitting there drinking flagons of wine.
Speaker 1:Listen, he was paying attention to his kingdom and he realized the enemy had come against him. You know, the enemy comes against you. He opposes this fresh anointing that we all have in 2025. God said there's a fresh anointing, there's a new anointing, even an anointing you're not fully acquainted with, you're not even used to it. God wants to bring us into places we've never been. He wants to use us to do things we've never done. And let me tell you, the devil is not gonna sit here and twiddle his thumbs. He's gonna come against you to oppose the anointing. He always opposes what God wants to do. But we're not hiding from the devil, we're commanding our breakthrough. And so so he and David heard about it. He inquired of God Go up, I'll deliver them into your hand. And then in verse 11, let's look at verse 11 again.
Speaker 1:And David said in the second part of the verse he said David said God has broken in upon my enemies by my hand like the breaking forth of waters. Therefore they call the name of that place Baal-peratzim and really, if you look that up in your concordance, it means the Lord of the breakthrough. David wasn't the Lord of the breakthrough, god was the Lord of the breakthrough. I like the NLT version New Living Translation of what David said. David said it this way God did it. He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood. Woo, hallelujah. I like that one. He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood. No more hiding, no more diverting, no more trying to dodge. No, we're gonna go right at him like a raging flood. You know it reminds me of Isaiah 59, 19. Let's hold our place there and go back to Isaiah. I'm in Isaiah right now. I just got through reading his verses and Isaiah 59, 19. Isaiah 59, 19.
Speaker 1:The second part of that verse says when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Now, you know I've heard that quoted and you know about the enemy coming in like a flood. But really the King James is a very poor translation of the Hebrew because that's not what it said In the true Hebrew. That's not what it says. It's not emphasizing the power of the enemy. I said this verse is not emphasizing the power of the enemy. I said this verse is not emphasizing the power of the enemy. Here is really in the, in the amplified. It's in the new living translation.
Speaker 1:I should say you know it says it doesn't even talk about the enemy, it talks about God. He, god will come like a raging flood, tide driven by the breath of the Lord. See, let's, let's not be impressed with the devil, let's not be impressed with his pronouncements over us. Let's not be impressed with the doctor's report. Let's not be impressed with the balance in our checkbook. Let's not be impressed with the balance in our retirement account. Let's be impressed with the mighty power of God that is coming like a raging flood, like a raging torrent. One version says Glory to God.
Speaker 1:I was thinking about this same idea in Luke, where Jesus received the Holy Ghost. You know, he was baptized in the River Jordan by his cousin, john, john the Baptist. And the Bible says that the Spirit came upon Jesus like a dove and Jesus said and John said "'Behold the Lamb of God who taketh away sin of the world. You know? And he said you know, he's the baptizer in the Holy Ghost. He's gonna baptize the Holy Ghost in fire. And then it says and John was driven, jesus was driven by the Spirit into the wilderness.
Speaker 1:That always bothered me, because you think about the Holy Ghost driving Jesus. Like Jesus is reluctant and has to be driven. He has to be kind of whipped with, like you drive a donkey, like you drive an ox to pull a load. You're driving him. So you're, you're put, you know, snapping that whip over him, you know, and and getting him come on giddy up.
Speaker 1:I mean, that's kind of the picture you get in the King James that that's not the picture it is. He is going into the wilderness and he has been driven by the breath of the Lord like a mighty torrent. He's about to show the devil up in the wilderness and he defeated him how. How did he defeat him With his word? That's how you're defeating him. That's how you're commanding your breakthrough is releasing the word of God like a raging torrent in the face of the enemy. Glory to God. Woo, come on, lift your hands right now. Hallelujah, we're not victims, we're victors. Quit looking at yourself as a victim. Quit looking at. This is the whole way the world works right now.
Speaker 1:You've got about half this country. They're just whining and griping and groaning and moaning like we're in the greatest country that's ever been known. This is the greatest nation that's ever existed. You ought to kiss the ground. I can't stand these people with their foreign flags and wearing their flags everywhere. They ought to be. Go back where you came. Go back to Somalia, go back to Guatemala. Go back wherever you come from. If that's your idea, I mean, you're gonna wear your flag in this great country. This is the greatest. You talk about lifting up a standard.
Speaker 1:Remember the movie Patriot with Mel Gibson? That was about the American Revolution, and at the end of the movie they come against Cornwallis, the greatest general. He's got all these redcoats out there. There's just endless numbers of them. And here's this little old, paltry little band of soldiers. You know, some of them don't even have uniform, a few of them do, a lot of them don't. They're just squirrel hunters and they're just. You know, they're not professionals, they're not trained for the most part, and they come face to face with all those regulars, you know, and they're taking the worst of the battle temporarily. And so some of them get a little afraid and they start running away from the battle. They start running and Mel Gibson, he finds the flag.
Speaker 1:The stars and stripes are laying on the ground and he picks up the standard. He picks up the victory flag and he picks it up and he's waving it like this and he says go forward. Y'all remember that I'm telling you glory to God, that is what I'm telling you. The stars and stripes is a victory. We took a victory over the greatest military empire. I will not stand for somebody burning it. I will not stand for somebody burning our flag. It's the flag of victory and it came from God. It didn't come from man. Go back where you came from. You want to burn a flag? I'm getting excited, all right. Praise God, we're not victims.
Speaker 1:Wake up, go to work, quit looking for a handout. What handouts did you get in Somalia? Anybody help you there? The guy that's running for he's running for mayor of Minneapolis. That's what he said. He said we need to. Really, I'm here to advocate for Somalia. I want to pick that little weenie out. I mean, he doesn't belong here, ship him back home. I mean, how dare you? How dare you say that? And you're going to have people in Minneapolis vote for you? You know the people that vote for him. They're all from Somalia. Let's send them all back home.
Speaker 1:Talk about a hell hole, and now they're here and they're trying to make this place a hell hole. No, no, this is heaven. I'm telling you, this is our nation. God gave us this nation. We're going to lift up a standard against the devil. That's what we're doing. We're lifting up a standard. Glory to God.
Speaker 1:The Bible says we reign in life as kings. Yeah, the enemy opposes the anointing. Yeah, he desires to hinder us, but when he dares to come against us. We speak God's word, to the circumstance, god's word. I've been saying this, but God's word in your mouth, with faith in your heart, is the same as God's word in his mouth, the same as God's word in Jesus' mouth. Of course, we have to believe it, don't we? And it comes like a what? Like a raging flood driven by the Holy Ghost. I mean, it's not just words in the air. When you speak God's word, it's not just going out. No, it's a raging flood driven by the breath of the Lord. Hallelujah Woo. Blood driven by the breath of the Lord, hallelujah Woo. So we command our breakthrough as kings. We command our breakthrough as kings.
Speaker 1:Let's look at Ephesians, chapter one. This is one of the most needed revelations that I'm so grateful for. That I got when I started going to Lakewood Church 40 some odd years ago, and some of you you know, maybe you got saved as Baptist, maybe you got saved as a few saved Catholics. Catholics do get saved, sometimes by accident. I was one of them. I don't mean it like that. There are no accidents with God, but I'm just saying in spite of is what I really meant to say? In spite of the religion that I was in embalmed with, I got saved. Isn't that a shame to have to have to get saved in spite of where you go to church, and so there's a lot of them like that, and uh.
Speaker 1:So you know, when I got saved, though, I started going to Lakewood and I didn't have a bunch of stuff to unlearn. Everything that I learned that was wrong was when I was lost. So when I got born again, that spirit had not been exposed to religion that much. My spirit didn't have a whole lot of garbage in it. I just started. God had a clean slate, but you know what, if you started life as a Baptist or a Methodist, you started your. You were really born again and you got saved, and you sat under those kind of religion, the religiosity and all of their theories that they teach. You got a lot of stuff that you got to pull out of your spirit.
Speaker 1:It's junk, and I'm so glad for the word of faith, I'm so glad for the revelation of our divine authority, because most people out there they might be saved, but they don't know anything about their authority that God gave them. It's a shame, because they just blame God for it. Well, you know God's teaching me a lesson. I know I've got cancer, but you know, I just give glory to God. You know God will give glory to God, guess nothing. I just you know God will get glory out of it. Well, you know, that's not the attitude that's wrong. I was taught better and I'm not going to abide that kind of thinking. Why? Because it'll kill you. Religion comes to kill you, but Jesus came what, that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Amen.
Speaker 1:Ephesians, chapter one, verse 16. These are this is a Holy Ghost prayer. I pray it every day. I cease not to give thanks for you, make it mention you have been my prayers that the God of our Lord, jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. That the eyes of your understanding be enlightened so that what, what was all that for? So you might know something that you know, what is the hope of his calling. That you would know what the riches of the glory of his inheritance and the saints. That you would know what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenlies. Far above all, principality, power, might and dominion in every name is named, both in this age and that which is to come. See, that prayer is for you to know something about God's power. What kind of power? Resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead and did what seated him in heavenly places where, far above all, principality, power, might and dominion. You need to know something about it. You need to know something about resurrection power. This prayer is for you. It's an open book. You can pray this prayer and God will begin to reveal to you about this power.
Speaker 1:And have put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to himself, no, to the church. Well, where are the feet? Well, the feet are in the church. Jesus is the head. The church is the body. Where are the feet? The feet are in the church. Jesus is the head. The church is the body. Where are the feet? The feet are in the body. So now it's talking about this power has got something. It's released not only to Jesus himself, but it's released to every person that's in the church that's born again, which is his body, the fullness of him, which filleth. All in all, he's put some things under our feet. What things? All things. Everybody say all things are under my feet. See, we don't understand. Under feet, because we grew up in Western society, we grew up in civilization, but in the Bible days and the nations around, something under your feet means that you had dominion, that you had power. And I use this example Years ago, the first Gulf War, saddam Hussein's brother was going down this list of captives.
Speaker 1:They were bowing, they were on their knees and their face was on the ground. And they were bowing to this man whose brother was Saddam Hussein. He's dressed in a military, he's got a big old gun on his hip and he's got boots, you know, and he's cock-a-doodle-doo walking around. You know, I don't think he wound up too well after we got through with him. I don't think he wound up too well after we got through with him. But they had this on film on evening news. I'm watching it. And they're just have mercy, please Don't kill us, please. That's what they're. They're just so worried.
Speaker 1:And he came up to one guy and he just lifted up his foot and put his foot on the back of that guy's face and drove it into the dirt. He put him under his feet, literally. See, this is what anybody that's conquered over there. When one power conquers another, you go under their feet. You become totally submitted. You're dominated. Of course, he pulled out his pistol and shot each one of them in the back of the head, executed all of them so, proud of himself, committed murder on television.
Speaker 1:Didn't turn out too well, I don't think for him. But see, this is what we have. We have the devil under our feet. We have no reason to prop up the devil. We have no reason to exalt the devil and tell everybody what the devil is doing. Well, it's the same thing when you talk about poverty. It's the same thing. When you talk about sickness, it's the same thing I mean. When you talk about insufficiency, you're talking about the devil. No, we're the victors. That's under our feet. Well, you don't. But you haven't seen my back. It's under your feet. It's under your feet. Everybody say it's under my feet. Every circumstance is under my feet.
Speaker 1:And you has he quickened or made alive? Verse chapter two, verse one, because there's no chapters and punctuation in the manuscripts. It just goes one and two. There's no chapter, it goes right. He's talking about the same thing, about revelation of something we need to know that we've been made alive, with the same Holy Ghost power that raised Jesus from the dead and raised us out of darkness into light, out of death into life, and seated us together. We were under the heel of the devil, but now the devil's under our heel, we're way above. We've been seated together with him in heavenly places. We gotta know this, folks, you gotta know it. What does know mean Mental, no Revelation down here, so fully persuaded that when you speak you know your words are not just going off into the atmosphere, that things are moving. Well, it doesn't look like. Well, see, there again. You quit looking in the natural I'm talking about supernatural things now, because they will move.
Speaker 1:And so and you hath, he quickened, everybody say I've been made alive who were dead in trespasses and during time past? You walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, the lost people. They have a spirit. Lost people are in the children of disobedience, the lost people. They have a spirit. Lost people are under the heel of the devil. They're under control of their master, satan. That's why we're not to have close relationships with them. We're not hanging out with them. You witness to them. That's it. Get close enough to be a witness and then draw back Among whom also?
Speaker 1:We had our conversation time past. See, I still remember that the guy that used to live in this body was lost and he used to make his own beer, but that guy died. That guy was taken out and a new guy came in, the guy that's been raised from the dead, the guy that's been seated together in heavenly places. That guy is different Verse four. But God, who's rich in mercy for his great love, wherewith he loved me even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ. By grace, are you saved and raised us up together with him and made us sit together in heavenly places. In Christ Jesus, hallelujah, we're seated far above. I'm talking about commanding your breakthrough. I'm talking about reigning in life as a king. You are kings.
Speaker 1:Revelation, chapter one says we're kings and priests unto God. You know sometimes, when people that have been taught all their life that everything is God, god, god, god, heal our land, god, do something about, oh God, please heal me. God, please come through for me one more time. God See, I just don't pray like that. I rule and reign like a king. I'm seated together with him in heavenly places.
Speaker 1:Most of the praying I do, I'm asking him about strategy. I'm asking him what do I do in this situation? But once I find out, I take over and I start speaking against that thing and it comes, against that circumstance like a torrent driven by the Holy Ghost Hallelujah, hallelujah, woo, woo. So this power that he's telling us, that we need to have a revelation of and we can pray for that, that's a prayer that we ought to pray. I pray it every day and when I see somebody struggling that I love and they need some help, I start praying this prayer for them. But you're praying one time in a year. That's not going to do it. I mean, it's what you do all the time. You pray it every day and after six months you're going to start seeing things you didn't see before. You're going to be God's going to open up the Word of God to you in such a fresh way that you're man. I didn't see that. Wow, glory to God, the light turns on and it'll happen for somebody that you care about, maybe your husband, your wife, your kids, your parents, whoever it is your friend that's struggling. Pray these prayers over them.
Speaker 1:But this power was opposed by all the principalities and powers and rulers of darkness, wicked spirits in heavenly places and Satan himself. To no avail. It didn't do any good. They thought they had him. They had him in hell, they had that boy. They had him down there. We got you. We got you down there. We gotcha, we gotcha. Three days and nights they had him. But then there came a voice it's enough. And the Holy Ghost went down into hell and quickened Jesus and he stripped from him principalities and powers and he made a bold display and a public example. He led a train of vanquished foes. He marched them all through the heavenlies and said this is the devil and his demon powers and they've all been defeated and I'm taking from them the keys of hell and death and I'm giving it to my church. Hallelujah, come on, lift your hands right now.
Speaker 1:Talk about commanding your breakthrough. Quit putting up with stuff that's got you locked in and walled off and what God wants for you and making religious excuses for it to be that way. See, this is what you get when you have religion. You have religious excuses to put up with the devil and call it something good. But it isn't good, it's bad. See, god is good and the devil is bad, it's just. You gotta understand if something's bad it's not from God. God's good. Are you with me now? Amen. So we've been risen and seated, far above all, and everything is under our feet. So command your breakthrough. No power can withstand the raging flood tide coming out of your mouth. Now I wanna talk a little bit about command. Command your breakthrough. The word command there is really instructive. That's why I like to have a.
Speaker 1:You know, sometimes you have your concordance, sometimes you just have a dictionary. I prefer Webster's 1828, because Webster was a believer, was a minister, exactly, and a lot of his definitions come right out of the concordance. And of course, you know Democrats have changed the meaning of the English language and a lot of words. You know Democrats have changed the meaning of English language and a lot of words. You know marriage was changed Not, you know, they tried to change it. It hadn't changed. As far as I'm concerned, it's still the same as it's always been.
Speaker 1:Marriage is not between two men or two women or a man and a robot, or a woman and a typewriter or a computer or an iPhone. No, it's between a man and a woman and a typewriter or a computer or an iPhone. No, it's between a man and a woman, and man is man and woman is woman. Trans just doesn't exist. There's no trans. It's a lie. Like most of the see. They have to change the language in order for you to buy it. See, that's exactly what Hitler did, that's exactly what you know, karl Marx did and all of the communists. They do the same thing.
Speaker 1:But command, see, what does it mean? Let me listen to this number of words and I think if you'll listen carefully, you might find some things that you can kind of put to your arsenal that maybe you haven't been doing, put to your arsenal that maybe you haven't been doing. Command means to instruct, to dictate, to exercise authority, to master and conquer. It means to control. It means to give orders to. It means to demand so as to receive what is due. It means to rule. It means to rule. It means to decree. It means to supervise. I like that one Supervise To keep watch, to manage, yeah, to manage, to administrate, to regulate. Boy isn't that good, and I'm pretty sure that among these words you're gonna find some of these words that you're not quite as faithful doing. And so then your command is compromised, your command is compromised, your command is compromised.
Speaker 1:You know, back when Israel began to attack Iran, one of the first things you do in battle any battle is you always attack your enemy's command and control structures, because command and control is how they manage the war or the battle. And if you're going to leave their command and control in place and you don't damage it, then they're going to have full communication on the battlefield and you're going to have your hands full, winning the battle. So it's always number one on the list. And that's what happened. Israel took it out the very first few minutes, took out their command and control. So they were deaf, dumb and blind. They didn't know who was what, they didn't know what was going on anywhere in their country and they didn't know that some of their top-level people were eating cruise missiles for evening snack and they didn't know that they were coming through their sliding glass patio window and blowing up. They didn't know all that until they found out later on. See, command and control was taken out, confusion, and so you know we have to keep watch, we have to manage. You know David was doing that, he was managing. He wasn't just sitting back and having a pedicure or a manicure. He's watching what's going on and he found out Philistines had come against him. So command your breakthrough.
Speaker 1:Number one three things I want to leave with you. Very standard things you've heard, but to remind you. Number one be continually and habitually filled with the Holy Ghost, ephesians 5, 18. Be being filled. Be continually and habitually filled with the Holy Ghost. That means you have to take time to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Who is the Holy Ghost? He's your helper. I like to call him the holy informer. I like to say that he's the one that gives you advanced info on what's coming down. See, that's exactly what David had. He had advanced info. He knew that the Philistines had come against him. He had advanced info. He knew that the Philistines had come against him. It doesn't say how he knew, but I'm pretty sure he knew because he stayed close contact with God.
Speaker 1:You know, I pastor this church. My family and I and our staff. We pastor this church. It's supernatural what we do. We know things and occasionally I get caught. You know having to catch up with something the devil did. Maybe I missed something, but most of the time, if it's major, I'm going to know about it before anything happens. It's supernatural what we do. It's not natural. I said it's supernatural. We have the holy informer, the Holy Ghost.
Speaker 1:I stay close to the Holy Ghost because he knows everything. He's a genius. He knows exactly what's happening before it happens and can warn you. I can't even count the times when God has warned me. I had something down in here. Oh, something's not right. Sometimes something's not right about somebody and I know it and I'll go to the Lord. Okay, something's not right about somebody, and I know it, and I'll go to the Lord. Okay, something's not right. I'm not feeling right about that and I'll have. I mean, sometimes I'll have a dream. God will lay it out, god will show me what it is that I'm up against.
Speaker 1:It's usually some kind of demon. It's usually some kind of seducing spirit that this person or persons have listened to, that has diverted them out of agreement and now they're sitting over there. Instead of giving pastor the benefit of the doubt on things that they don't understand, they're judging what I do based on little information that most of it's lies and most of it is distorted. I've seen it over and over for 30 plus years. I know what I'm talking about. That's dangerous folks. No, stay close to the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost and you's going to know what the Holy Ghost and me and you're going to be. You're going to be matched up. You're going to be, you're going to be in synchronization.
Speaker 1:Then, instead of over here wondering, oh, I don't know what pastor did that for, shut up, you don't know anything. Give yourself permission to not have an opinion. Give yourself power not to have an opinion about things you don't know about. See, well, that sounds like a cult. Well, it sounds like a cult, but it's not a cult. Cults do the same thing. See, the devil always hijacks what God does.
Speaker 1:Love plus unity equals miracles. We have to forbear, to walk in unity. We have to pass up the opportunity to get offended. We have to pass up the opportunity to listen to lies and gossip and all of that kind of thing and hone in on the most important thing what the Holy Ghost is telling us. The witness of the Spirit ought to be all you need. You know, it's not your head, it's your spirit.
Speaker 1:And so, as I said in 1 Corinthians 14, 8, david knew. He knew he had heard that they had come in a line. How'd he know? Well, I just believe it was the Holy Ghost that showed him, whether it was the prophet that came and told him, whether he just you know, whether he just had a feeling that something was wrong. But he was managing his kingdom, he was supervising his kingdom. His eyes were not closed, he's not distracted, he's taking care of business. See, a lot of times things happen to us because we're not taking care of business, we're not supervising, we're not managing, we're not keeping watch. We're not supervising, we're not managing, we're not keeping watch. We're not administrating, we're not regulating. See, that's part of commanding. Are y'all with me now? Many seeming tragedies can be averted when we are informed ahead of time.
Speaker 1:I think about the testimony Brother Hagin gives about the pastor and his family, his wife and kids. And it's a Friday night and the pastor said well, let's go out to eat, let's have a treat. I think mom had already started dinner, but she had, you know. He said no, let's leave that, let's just go out to eat and treat ourselves. Oh yeah, daddy, that's great.
Speaker 1:So they get in the car and go to the restaurant. They all get seated at the table. They got their menus, they got their water and something in the inside of the pasture was disturbed. He said oh, we got to go back home. There's something wrong. Say, what was that? The Holy Ghost? Holy Ghost is warning him. And so he stood up. Holy Ghost is warning him. And so he stood up. Oh Daddy, we're going to be embarrassed. What are we going to do? We walk out. We just came in here and we're going to walk out. I don't care, we have to go home. We have to go home right now, right now.
Speaker 1:And so they all got up and left the restaurant. You know people scratching their heads while they're going out. And they get home and there's a small fire on the stove. Mama had forgot to shut the the burner off and it started a little fire. And if they had waited, if they had ignored, their house would have burned down. But because he was sensitive to the holy ghost, he got back in time to put that fire out. Wasn't any big deal. They call the fire department anyway, just to be sure, but nothing with no big major.
Speaker 1:I mean, many tragedies could be averted if we just listen and be guided by the Holy Ghost. He would tell us when to leave for such and such and when not to, and when to just forget about the trip altogether. Sometimes we plan a trip and sometimes we'd be better off not going if you'd listen to the Holy Ghost, are y'all with me now? Number two maintain your seat of authority. 1 Peter 5, 8.
Speaker 1:It says be sober, be vigilant for your adversary. The devil, as a lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour, whom resist steadfast in the faith. I mean, you just have to assume he's always looking to hurt you. He's not trying just to give you a bad hair day. He's not just trying to steal your parking place at the mall. He's not just, he's trying to kill you. And if he can't kill you, he's going to try to make you sick. If he can't make you sick, he's going to try to, you know, to ruin you. He's going to try to to lie about you and gossip about you. He's going to. He does all these things and he's you got to assume he's always at work, because the Bible says so. So what do we do? Be sober, be vigilant, be watchful, watch over your life, watch over your children, watch over your spouse, watch, pray, watch, watch and pray. Be sober, be vigilant.
Speaker 1:Job 38. Let's look at Job. Got a couple of really good verses in Job. You mean you read Job. It's kind of a job to read Job because all these Job's friends you know belching out all of their opinions. But you know there are some good verses in Job. Job 38, verse 12 is one of them.
Speaker 1:Has thou commanded the morning since thy days and caused the day spring to know his place? See, command your morning. Command your morning. I mean when you get up in the morning, get things lined out and begin to release that flood tide of words over your day and over your household and over your trip in. If you're going downtown or anywhere to work or whatever you're doing, I mean begin to let the devil know you're awake and you've got something to say about the day. Command it and set it in order. Glory to God. I mean, every day on an army base they sound the bugle and everybody assembles out there and they get ready for the day. They check attendance, they make sure everybody's there and ready to go to work. Amen.
Speaker 1:I said we ought to do the same thing In Job 22, 28,. It says thou shalt decree a thing and it shall become established unto you. And I talked about prayer a while ago. But you know a lot of you know, as the older I go and the longer I've been around, the less I pray about silly things like healing or money or anything. I just decree. I'm a king.
Speaker 1:What I say goes I don't have to bother God about everything. He's already given me his word. I already know his will about just about everything there is. If there's anything that I don't know about, then that's when I pray and find out. But other than that, I'm not going to pray about healing. I'm going to decree it. I'm going to talk about that. I'm not gonna pray about healing. I'm gonna decree it. I'm gonna talk about that. I'm healing.
Speaker 1:I have a whole message on. You know, speaking your way to health. I mean you can speak your way to health, or you can speak your way to the grave. Either way, I mean you're gonna have what you say. Are you with me now? So maintain your seat of authority. Let the devil know you're awake To his grief.
Speaker 1:I mean, you know, the easiest thing for an enemy to do is to catch his foe unawares. That's exactly what the Philistines were trying to do. But God warned David If you keep reading there in 1 Chronicles 14, they didn't quit After they got defeated at the place of breakthrough, at the place of the breach Baal-paratzim also means the place of the breach, who got breached? The enemy? They got busted wide open. But you know what? They didn't give up. They turned back around and they came back again. If you keep reading in that chapter.
Speaker 1:And David didn't assume, just because God had told him to do it the first time, he prayed again. He said Lord, do I go again? No, don't go up, but wait until you hear the sound of a marching in the mulberry trees. It says noise, but the word noise means marching. In other words, let my angels prepare the way for you first and then, and so, when you see the whole battle, he came out and he surrounded them and he came at them from both ends. It was a totally different battle plan that he received from God.
Speaker 1:So don't assume, when the devil comes back again to do something else, that you're just going to have the same plan. That's how you pray. That's why you pray for strategy. But you don't have to pray for victory. You decree the victory. Are y'all getting this now? You decree the victory. Oh God, give me the victory. No, you don't have to pray that, say it. Quit begging God for stuff he's already given you. Yeah, you need a strategy that's valid to pray for that. Are you getting anything out of this now?
Speaker 1:And then the last one is Romans 5, 17. You know, reign in life as a king. Don't wait for life to come to you. Reign as a king I mean, in other words, dictate the terms of surrender, dictate how things are going to be, decree how things are going to be. I mean you start having issues with a child, you start having issues in school, you start having, instead of getting all panicky and everything, start decreeing. And then you might need to pray and get a strategy, because it might involve you visiting with a teacher or a principal, or it might involve you doing something besides decreeing. You might there might be some action you might need to take.
Speaker 1:It's all kind of things happen in schools nowadays. You've got bullies, you've got craziness, you've got all kinds of dysfunction, and it's a shame that things are the way they are. It didn't get that way overnight. It won't get fixed overnight, but I believe we're turning the tide, amen. The government tried to take the parents out of it. Well, thank God the parents are in the middle of it. We're not gonna give up our children to the state. We're not gonna give up our children to the school. We're gonna be involved in their education. We're gonna be involved in what they're doing and we're gonna be involved in what kind of curriculum that they're being taught and not being taught and so forth. And if you don't like it, well, that's just tough, rocco's, go to China, go to Russia, go someplace else. But here here we're in charge. We're reigning in life as Kings decree and declare the victory, rejoice. Learn to laugh at the devil. I mean the more serious. You know what I've been doing the last several years.
Speaker 1:I got this from Copeland's ministry. It wasn't even Kenneth Copeland, it was one of his maintenance guys. Yeah, and remember the big freeze we had, and I mean it ruined a lot of stuff. The pipes burst and everybody that had sprinkler systems. Our government is so fouled up. You have to have a permit to turn off your sprinkler system. How stupid is that? What stupid idiot put that in law? I mean, that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. And so the state knows better. So we are preparing for a freeze.
Speaker 1:What do you do with your house? Well, if you know it's coming and it's really cold in this part of the country, our houses are not designed for 20-degree weather. If it stays three or four days you're going to have frozen pipes, and when you do, they're going to break. That's just how it is in Houston. We're not equipped for that kind of weather because it doesn't come often enough for us to pay the extra money it would take to insulate and have different kinds of plumbing, and so they do that up north. But we don't have to do it here. We have air conditioning, we have we have to design for the heat, so so, anyway, when that happened, everybody that had sprinkler systems, many of them, froze and they broke, and then they couldn't, they couldn't get a permit to turn the water off to the sprinkler system. So when, so when the thawed back out, it just flooded, everything, ruined everything, see. And so that happened up at Copeland's, and the maintenance guy, you know, he came in and they had a flood and he said well, you know what, it's not as bad as it looks. That blessed me so much. I mean, he saw that damage. He saw that how bad that was. He said, oh, it's not as bad as it looks. And sure enough, it wasn't that bad and they were able to clean. What do you mean? I'm just that's my response.
Speaker 1:Every time somebody's got a report from the doctor, they text in and say, well, you know, the doctor says this, this and this. Not bad as it looked. We had a text in the middle of the night about Lavelle, lavelle's wife, and we've taken him to the hospital. He's got stroke symptoms, he's he's you know, and uh, and I saw that and I said, well, it's not as bad as it looks, not bad as it looks. That's my, I mean. You know, I, instead of no, but not say decree. And I know that lavelle's been coming long enough to know his rights and privileges. See, I knew he was, he was speaking against it too. I didn't have to have an emergency overdrive going to conniption fit. I just, oh, it's not as bad as it looks. And you know, they just sent a little thing up in his vein and went up in there and pulled out three blood clots and I mean they dismissed him and two more days he went home and he came up and testified on a Wednesday night and he completely walked up the aisle. No weakness, his wife said. His face was deformed, no evidence of any kind of stroke.
Speaker 1:See, I'm talking about decree. I'm talking about reigning in life as a king. God has broken forth upon my enemies by my hand, as a rushing torrent. Say, yeah, you have a hand in it, but God does it. So command your breakthrough. Come on, lift your hands and receive Hallelujah. Everybody say I'm commanding my breakthrough. I'm not waiting for life to deal me all kind of trouble. I'm heading it off, I'm alert, I'm managing, I'm commanding, I'm demanding my due. Hallelujah, come on, let's rejoice today. Glory to God.
