Speaker 1:

This morning we're going to talk to you about living by faith. Praise the Lord. Living by faith supernatural lifestyle. When you live by faith, nobody can put a limit on you, because if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes. Do we have any believers in here? Amen. And so I'm going to give you a couple of scriptures here.

Speaker 1:

Second corinthians 4 13, first of all, where the apostle paul says this, he says we having the same, oh, spirit of faith, bring me the books up here, jake. Come up here, man, I'll talk to you everything I know. You still don't know nothing. Listen, we'll start over. Look when I come here. You guys are so generous and such wonderful partners. All the books are free. They're all free, everything's free. So you don't have to buy nothing. So if you don't like it, I'll give you a full refund. So you don't have to buy nothing. But don't get all a bunch of stuff, you know. Get like one or two things and wait for somebody else to get stuff, and then you can come back later. All right, so get like one or two books and then watch the table and whatever's left. You can get what's left later.

Speaker 1:

This is a new book we have. I don't know if I've given this away here or not, because this is a brand-new book called Hope, which is living with unlimited expectation. Hope is simply the Bible word for a confident, cheerful expectation that the goodness of God will prevail in any situation, no matter how long or what you're going through. The goodness of god will prevail in that situation. You say what happens. The bible says your hope is an anchor for your soul and it is attached to the mercy seat. It reaches beyond the veil into the unseen realm, and the unseen holds you when the scene gets tough. So you got to read this book. Even though it's a real short little book, you read it and they're free. I don't know how many we got. You don't know we got a whole box. So everybody get a free one and read it. Praise the lord, so you can give it away if you want to, but everybody get a free one anyhow, all right. So this book is on who you are in Christ. You know one of my favorite subjects what God did in Christ. He did in Christ what he wanted to do in every man. You're a new creature in Christ, amen. Who you are and what you have in Christ, give that to somebody, if you want to. This is called the Spirit of Faith. I always say Joyce Meyer ordered 40,000 of this book. It helped her a lot with her attitude anyway. So the spirit of faith. She had to read it a lot but she's a good friend. We love her. So give that book somebody.

Speaker 1:

This was called the bloodline of a champion. Every chapters on faith in the blood. I call it slinging blood everywhere. How to apply the blood. Give it somebody over there. This called taking your place in Christ. You're in Christ.

Speaker 1:

The first book of wrote. This is called how to pray for your family and always that. We have seen your family and you need prayer, all right. And then this one here is God's healing word. Tells you how's Trenton was healed of a brain tumor 35 years ago and the tumor left her brain and never came back and the doctor said it's inoperable and he said she'll be paralyzed for the rest of her life. But look at her up here singing hallelujah. You say what happened? Well, thank god for doctors, but we got another doctor working on the case, amen. And so this is how to receive the word god's healing word. So give us somebody over there, all right. All right.

Speaker 1:

Go back to second christians 4, 13. Praise the lord. That's all jay's fault anyway. So second christian 4, verse 13. Paul says this is what we have, and if you have it, you know you got it. And if you know you got it, then there ain't nothing wrong with saying you got it. What do you have, in other words, paul, what do you have that keeps you from collapsing? Because if you set out to do the will of God, the devil's going to do everything he can to stop you. Paul is carrying half of the new testament revelation of who christ is and what happened, from the cross to the throne, and so paul's adversity.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes we think we got trouble, but paul's beaten with 39 stripes five times. If you saw his back it would be covered with scars. They say one beaten would kill most people, but five times he was beaten with 39 stripes. Beaten with rods. Three times was in four shipwrecks, the three he mentions. He had another one after that in the book of acts, and so he had to grab a board, you know, get to shore. When he got to shore he got bit by a snake. Everybody looked at him, wait for him to die, but he didn't die. He ended up preaching, had a revival on the island and everybody got healed and saved.

Speaker 1:

Come on, the spirit of faith is not fragile. All right, let's try this one more time. Spirit of faith ain't for sissies. Come on, spirit of faith is not fragile. You know like I'm gonna fall apart or I'm facing so many challenges. So what kept the apostle Paul from collapsing and what made him the most productive Christian that ever lived? Amen. His influence literally changed nations and continents. His missionary journey so amazing man. So learning from the apostle Paul is just amazing. His revelation of Christ, knowing who he is in Christ.

Speaker 1:

And he said second Corinthians four 13, this is what I have. What makes you different? Is it your talent? Is your education? You're extra smart. What is it? He said well, let me tell you what I have. We have the same spirit of faith. Or you could say the spirit of faith is the same. Or when Paul says the same, what's he referring to? Well, really, he's referring to. He says according as it is written. So he's referring to. He says according as it is written. So he's referring to the psalmist David, who said I believed and therefore have I spoken. So Paul says we have the same thing that David had. We got the same thing. I Mean believe, you not only have the same thing, david had, you got the same thing, paul had, you got the same thing Jesus had. So Paul says we have the same thing. And he says I believe, and therefore have I spoken?

Speaker 1:

Now, my spiritual father was a guy named Kenneth Hagin, and Kenneth Hagin taught on faith so much that I thought he ran out of sermon material. But he taught on faith so much that I thought he ran out of sermon material. But uh, he taught on faith so much because, he said, jesus told him go teach my people faith. I have taught you faith through the word, but also through experience. All right, let's try that one more time. You need to know what the word says about it, but you have to prove that word in your experience. So dad hagen had to prove it. Amen. From all the incurable diseases that he had came up off the death bed and his whole lifestyle. We watched him his whole life.

Speaker 1:

And so the spirit of faith, he said, has these two main ingredients. Number one I believe. Number two I speak. Even the devil, don't care what you believe if you'll be quiet about it, all right, let's try that one more time. It's not enough to be a believer I believe and I speak. Or you could say you have to have your speaker connected to your believer. If you're not careful, your speaker will get connected to your feelings or your circumstances or your kinfolk's opinion. You have to keep your speaker connected to your believer.

Speaker 1:

So paul said that's what we have, the same spirit of faith, quoting from the psalmist david in psalms 116, where david said I believed and therefore have I spoken.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you look at that in context, what he's saying is I was in a time of great adversity, great challenge, and then he said I'm gonna live, I'm not gonna die. Our here's where he says it the Lord delivered my life from death, delivered my feet from falling and delivered my eyes from tears. All right, come on. Let's always say in other words come on. We're talking about real life. Now in other, look like he wasn't gonna live, look like he's gonna die. He said but I'm gonna live, I'm not gonna die, he said. And he delivered my feet from falling. I'm not gonna keep tripping over the things that tripped me up. And then he delivered my eyes from tears means I'm not gonna keep crying about that. I mean oh, there's some things in your life you need to say I ain't crying about that, no more. Come on, I did cry about it, but I ain't gonna keep crying about it, amen. And so the Lord. So to keep crying about it, amen. And so the Lord.

Speaker 1:

So he said I believed and therefore have I spoken. And so dad Hagen said that the door to the supernatural swings on two hinges. Number one I believe. Number two I speak. All right, let's try that one more time. We're going to keep this simple right. All right, let's try that one more time. We're going to keep this simple right. The door to the supernatural. And he said many times people look for the spectacular and they miss the supernatural. So he said the door to the supernatural swings on two engines. I believe and therefore I speak Amen.

Speaker 1:

So if you want supernatural results and you're tired of natural results, then you need to have what Paul calls here the same spirit of faith. I have a spirit of faith, in other words, not a spirit of fear. I have a spirit of faith. I believe. I'm not a doubter, I'm a believer. I believe and then I speak. I say what I believe. In other words, it takes believing and speaking for the spirit of faith to work, or if you're silent, you lose by default. Now you can be a believer, but if you're silent, then it's not going to work for you. Y'all still with me.

Speaker 1:

So the spirit of faith and I like to kind of describe it this way the spirit of faith, the three kinds of people there's pioneers, settlers and museum keepers. Museum keepers are those who are content to dust off the memories of the past. A settler is somebody that's really just trying to find their comfort zone and settle. A pioneer is someone who is constantly pressing for new territory. A pioneer is someone who believes your best blessings have not happened yet. All right, let's try this. Out of her is anybody here that believes God's got something good for you and your best blessings Hadn't even happened yet. Amen.

Speaker 1:

So that's what we call a spirit of faith is a pioneer spirit, which is someone who's constantly pressing for new territory. Amen, that's what the Apostle Paul said. I forget those things that are behind and I'm pressing for those things that are. So a pioneer is someone constantly pressing for new territory. I'm going.

Speaker 1:

And number two a pioneer, someone who's conscious that he's preparing the way for somebody else who will follow. That means when you have a spirit of faith, you're conscious that your children are watching you, your grandchildren are watching you, other people are watching you and if you'll obey God, god they'll walk in the same steps you walked in and get the same results you got. So the spirit of faith works the same, it never changes. It's eternal, as God is eternal, and these three things last forever faith, hope and love. So you can't say, well, when I get to heaven, faith it's gonna be over. It ain't ever gonna be over, amen. So if you don't pay attention now, when you get to heaven you have to come to my class.

Speaker 1:

So the spirit of faith is what Paul said. This is what we have, keeps us from collapsing, enables us to go into new territory and get new blessing, enables us to shake off the dust of the past, enables us to forget those things which are behind, so that we can go forward in the plan of god and in the blessing of god. Or you could say it this way god would not design a plan for your life that did not require faith. So you learn about faith, not just so you can get a cadillac, but somebody did say that's the only kind of lack you need in your life is a Cadillac, but anyway. So God did not design faith just so you can get a new car. Amen. He designed faith because that's what it's gonna take for you to do, what he called you to do, because something about faith that pleases God.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's try this side over here. I said there's something about this little thing called faith that God is a faith God, and without faith it's impossible to please God. He that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Anybody ever seen any of those rewards? You know, seeking him. God is a rewarder. He's got a great reward system. Amen. So living by faith. So God would not demand faith of you without giving you a means whereby you can get faith.

Speaker 1:

So where's faith gonna come from? Well, romans 10, 17,. Write that down. Where's faith come from? Well, it don't come by praying for it. You know what I mean by saying God, I need faith, give me faith. It don't really come that way. Romans 10, 17 says faith cometh by hearing, and by hearing by the word of God. Or you could just simply say the Word of God is faith food. If you'll feed your faith, you'll be strong in faith. If you ignore the Word of God, then you're gonna be weak in faith. Simple as that, amen.

Speaker 1:

So the whole Bible is not about the subject of faith. But the whole Bible is not about the subject of faith. But the whole Bible has the capacity to produce faith in whatever area you need it. You mean it's faith for salvation, faith for deliverance, faith for blessing, amen, faith for healing, faith to be filled with the Holy Ghost, amen, amen. And Paululine said you build yourself up praying in the holy ghost and build yourself up on your most holy faith, amen.

Speaker 1:

So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of god. Which is why jesus was a teacher, which is why Jesus was a teacher and he went about doing good, teaching and healing. So Jesus didn't just get up and start healing everybody. He would teach now. There'd be no reason for him to teach. Why don't he just start doing what he does? There'd be no reason for him to teach unless you and I have a part to play in receiving from God.

Speaker 1:

So TL Osborne said one time. He said many of you are wanting me to quit teaching so you can get your healing and I'm wanting you to get your healing so I can quit teaching. And I asked the Lord one time. I said why did you teach so long? Because sometimes he would teach so long, people would pass out. He had to feed them. Are they going to pass out? They said, well, everybody's going to pass out. You were teaching too long.

Speaker 1:

So I said, lord, why did you teach so long? Come on, I was raised in church and people that preached long. I'm just like man, you know, your mind cannot receive more than your seat can endure. But you're just like this guy will teach a long time, lean up against a rock somewhere and Jesus is teaching. So I said why did you teach so long? Well, that's where faith comes from. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. So why did you teach so long? Here's what the Lord said to me. He said I wasn't teaching working on the giving part of God, I was teaching working on the receiving part of man. In other words, he said you never have to work on God doing good and healing. You don't ever have to talk God into giving, but you have to learn how to receive from God. All right, praise the Lord, amen. So look at Mark 11, 22 and 23, because these are the most important words that Jesus said about faith and how faith works. So Jesus is teaching. How many think he might be an expert on the subject. I mean, you listen to Jesus. If we brought him in, how many would even come back on Sunday night if Jesus was going to be there. So Jesus teaching on the subject of faith, and this is probably the best Amen. Mark 11, 22,.

Speaker 1:

Jesus had just spoken to the fig tree and the disciples were pretty impressed. They said Lord, look at the tree. You just spoke to it and look, it's withered up and it's died. And Jesus is basically responding to them by saying have faith in God. And then he says in verse 23, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith will come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. All right now. We're just going to stop there, just for this morning's sake. So jesus said have faith in god. But he's just spoken to the fig tree and the disciples are impressed and they're saying, lord, look at that tree. And you didn't cut it, you didn't kick it, you just talked to it.

Speaker 1:

Matter of fact, if you'll study the four Gospels, the most impressive thing about Jesus Christ was his words. There's no record in Matthew, mark, luke and John of anybody saying you know, we love his clothes, we think he's cute, we like his teeth, I think he's got pretty hair. Nobody ever said there's no physical description of Jesus in the four gospels. But everybody said there's something about his words when he speaks. Let's try this side over here. He said when he speaks, storms stop. When he speaks, storms stop. When he speaks, sickness leaves. When he speaks, demons flee. He does not speak with somebody like has opinions. He speaks like somebody with authority when he speaks. So they said what we like most about him is his words. All right, let's try this out of you. If you're gonna fall in love with Jesus, you're gonna have to fall in love with his words.

Speaker 1:

So Jesus just spoke to the fig tree and the sob said Lord, that's pretty amazing.

Speaker 1:

And Jesus could have said what. He could have said I'm Jesus and you're not. He could have said I'm Jesus and that's a deity trick that I learned in heaven, me and the father God. Do it and don't any of you earthlings, try this. If you get it wrong, it'll blow the lips off your face. He could have said that, couldn't he? Instead, jesus said what I just did to the tree. Anybody can do what I just did, and it won't just work on a tree, it will work on a mountain.

Speaker 1:

I want to tell you, when you have faith in God, it will change the scenery in your life and mountains will move and they'll leave and they'll never Come back and there'll be no evidence it was ever there, because your faith brings you victory in life. Mountain, get out of my way. You'll never be a victim in life when you have faith in God. Whoo, whoo. So the most valuable thing you can leave your children is your faith. Let's try this out over here. Come on, I'm going to leave my kids and my grandkids something. Come on.

Speaker 1:

Of course, they know I'm blessed, but I said, the most important thing you get from your poppy is your faith. If you get the faith that I got, I got it from my mama, my mama. I got it from my daddy, I got it from my grandpa and they taught me faith in God, faith in the blood of Jesus, faith in the name of Jesus, faith in the Word of God, that his word is forever settled in heaven. I learned how to live by faith. I learned how to fight a good fight of faith. I learned how to pray in faith. Come on now. I learned how to fight a good fight of faith. I learned how to pray in faith. Come on now. I Learned how to face impossible situations and with God all things are possible. Wow. So if I was gonna tell my mama something, say mama, thank you for teaching me Faith in God. And say mama, thank you for teaching me faith in god. Somebody ought to get happy already. So I got faith, amen.

Speaker 1:

So when jesus said here's how faith works, he actually made it so simple that he said anybody can do this. You know, a lot of us like jokes about people that do dumb stuff. Now, how many ever met anybody did something? Really don't. I mean, y'all might have done something though, but anyway, I Mean there's some dumb people. I I mean when I'm driving I'm like it's a good thing that they can't hear me, but over the years I've learned to control my mouth Anyway. So people do some dumb stuff. You're just like, seriously, that's hilarious. But Jesus said no matter who you are. No matter what your education level is, anybody who has faith in God can move a mountain. Anybody can do this and it'll work for anybody. And it worked for David when he was 17 years old. He's a giant killer. It worked for Joshua and Caleb when they were 80 years old, still possessing the land at 80 years old.

Speaker 1:

I ain't looking for a rocking chair. I'm not looking for a retirement plan. Come on, I have faith in God. Give me this mountain. My best days are still ahead of me, hallelujah. And if I go out, I'm going out with a shout Hallelujah. Jesus is Lord From 17. All right, I love 17 because my dad's a pastor.

Speaker 1:

When I was 17, my dad and four deacons had to come get me out of jail my dad and four deacons. I was in Angleton the county jail for doing some stupid stuff and had a 55 Chevy and got in the elevator and they're getting me out of jail with these four deacons. I'm 17 with afro, hairdo and bell-bottom blue jean and platform shoes, thinking I'm real cool. But nobody in jail looks cool, I can tell you that. So they had to come get me out of jail. So they had to come get me out of jail. So the deacons kind of looked at me like you're a shame, it's a shame. And I looked back at them like I'll burn your house when I get home. So I had a few problems with rebellion. So anyway, 17 years old, so I just got out of jail and I came home I had a 55 Chevy in the elevator. I said where's my car? Right? My daddy said I'll take care of it. I never saw that car again. That car took me straight to jail anyway.

Speaker 1:

So when I got home, a guy by the name of Kenneth Hagin happened to be doing a revival meeting at my dad's church and he was teaching on faith. Well, I knew a lot about the Bible. You can't talk to me about the Bible. I was raised in Sunday school. Man, we went to Bible all the time I'm gonna go to church and we had the Bible. We got just a Sunday school. We got revivals that lasts for two weeks at a time. We've heard every kind of preacher with its hair slicked back, all kinds of preachers, evangelists coming in there. I know all them sermons. I Got no faith.

Speaker 1:

So, dad Hagan teaching on faith, and I'm just sitting there and here's what he said. He said if you're not happy. What you have in life, check out what you've been saying. That's what he said. Well, I was 17. I wasn't happy. Did you know? You can be unhappy at 17? I was not happy at 17. You don't have to wait till you're 40 to be unhappy. You didn't have to wait till you're 40 to be unhappy. You don't even have to wait till you get married to be unhappy. If you think marriage is going to cure your unhappiness, look around. Not here, of course. Only Jesus is going to cure your unhappiness. I feel sorry for the person that you think it's their assignment to make you happy. Only Jesus can cure that love.

Speaker 1:

Sitting there, 17, I wasn't happy and dad Hagen said if you're not happy, what you have in life, check out what you've been saying. He said because mark 11 23 said whosoever shall say, he'll have whatsoever he said and I thought huh, now the lord told me he said, if I would have added two words to the end of mark 11 23, everybody be a faith champion. I said what two words he said if I were to put in church faith champion? I said what two words he said if I were to put in church at the end of mark 11, 23, whosoever shall have whatsoever, he saith in church because most people can't control their mouth for a couple hours in church. But jesus didn't say what you say in church, it's what you say on monday and tuesday and wednesday, on thursday, and if you silent then it's going to stop this whole process. So he says faith works the same way. Paul said it works by believing and by saying Believing and saying All right, y'all ready for this?

Speaker 1:

So when it comes to seeing that operating, when David killed Goliath, he won the war of words before he won that fight. In other words, goliath was talking trash to him and to the whole army and David was the only one to talk back to Goliath. Goliath had had nobody talked back to him since he's in the third grade, he's like a giant, so everybody's afraid of him. And David comes up, come on bringing sandwiches. And David says you're talking to me, you dare to defy the armies of the God of Israel. Come on, you uncircumcised Philistine, I'm gonna knock you out, cut your head off Goliath. Just then David said. Then Goliath said then David said then David ran at Goliath, hit him in the head with a rock, knocked him down, cut his head off, took his head back to his tent to show everybody how to get ahead in life, took his head like a trophy with eyes flopping and tongue hanging out and come on, blood coming out.

Speaker 1:

He's going I kill a giant. The reason he brought five stones was not because he's afraid he's gonna I kill a giant. The reason he brought five stones was not because he's afraid he's gonna miss. He said I'm gonna kill you and your brother. So David did that at 17. But notice, the Lord said this to me never run at your giant with your mouth shut. In other words, david didn't say y'all pray for me. I'm a face, this giant. Things don't work out. Could you give this note to my mother?

Speaker 1:

David said ahead of time what was gonna happen before the fight ever started. How many like to learn how to talk trash to the devil? Let the devil know ahead of time what's gonna happen in 2025, in the next 12 months of your life. Declare ahead of time the blessing of the Lord upon your life, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. And it's not enough to believe it, you're gonna have to say it. So David said Joshua and Caleb come on. The other spies said what? We are not able Giants, we're grasshoppers. What Joshua and Caleb say, we are well able. So I'm 17 years old and Dad Hayden is teaching while I'm teaching you, and he said so in that story, numbers 13, 14, he said who got what they said? Well, we would speak up and say, well, joshua and Caleb got what they said, that we're well able to possess the land. He said no, actually everybody got what they said we're well able possess a land. He said no, actually everybody got what they said. The ones who said we're not able did not, and the ones that said we're well able got it.

Speaker 1:

Another one this from dad Hagan prodigal son goes off into sin and wrongdoing and waste is living. He ends up in a hog pen and there he is, everything's wasted and left. And while he's in the hog pen he said I will arise and go to my father's house, come on. He could have just said well, I'm worthless, I'm just gonna die here. No, he said I will arise, got up and on the way back the father ran to meet him. But notice what he said before it ever happened. When he's in the middle of a hog pen, stinking, lost everything he said, come on. And when it looks like everything else is collapsing and you're a failure. Come on, don't give up on your situation. Say with your mouth I will arise and go back to the Father's house, I will arise. And the Father ran to meet him. He said it before he did it. All right, y'all still with me here.

Speaker 1:

The one with the issue of blood, mark, chapter five. Y'all know that story. Still in here. The one with this your blood, mark, chapter five. Y'all know that story. Mark, chapter five, verse. What is 25 through 34 mark, chapter five, verse 34.

Speaker 1:

Jesus told the one with this your blood. What did he tell her? He said daughter, your faith has made you whole. So dad hagan read that when he was 17, with seven incurable diseases, and all the preachers told him the day of miracles is over. Just go ahead and die in peace.

Speaker 1:

He read Mark, chapter five, and it said daughter, your faith has made you whole. And while he's reading he said the Lord said to him if her faith made her whole, your faith will make you whole. Because all the preachers said the day of miracles is over. You might as well die. And so he said. The Lord said to him have you ever heard any of the preachers say that faith has been done away with. He said no, none of them. He said you never will, because if faith has been done away, you can't be saved. He said so if faith has not been done away with. Her faith made her whole and your faith will make you whole. So if you studied mark chapter 5, you would see what was it that she had. Jesus said it's your faith that made you. Oh, so you can actually see the breakdown of exactly how faith works in that one story, mark 5, 24, 25 through 34. Anybody won't know that story. Y'all know that sort.

Speaker 1:

Huh, what happened with this woman, certain woman, been sick for how long. What's happening? She's getting worse. What else is happening? She's broke out of money. It's been all she had, getting worse. She's bleeding.

Speaker 1:

And then she heard of Jesus. All right, let's try this out over here. What have you heard of Jesus? She must have heard that he not only forgives sins, but he heals the sick. She heard of Jesus. And when she heard of Jesus. And when she heard of Jesus, she said first thing that your faith has to do is say after you hear the word, what are you gonna say? So she said then she did what she acted, then what she do. She pressed through the crowd, touched him. She received the anointing of the power of God. Everybody else was touching Jesus, get nothing. But this woman said, and her faith activated that power in her body. So you could be sitting in the middle of hundreds of people, but one believer will activate the power of God and went right into her. And Jesus felt that power go out of him and she felt that power go into her.

Speaker 1:

I love the story so please forgive me, but it says people pressing on him and Jesus looked around to see who touched him. So he said who touched me? And the disciples said now, lord, that's not really a good question because a bunch of people touching you right now. But the Lord never asked stupid question. So he looked around to see who touched him. And here's what he what Ben Campbell Johnson translation says he studied the faces in the crowd to see who made contact with him. Because there's a bunch of people touching him. So Jesus now is walking on and he feels power come out of him. Virtue, she felt it go into her and she knew she was healed of that plague. So imagine, here's Jesus casually walking around, people pushing, pushing on him, and then power goes out of him. So he starts looking to see who touched you. Sapa said Lord, everybody's everybody touching you. He said no, no, no. He studied the faces in the crowd to see who made contact with him.

Speaker 1:

Because when you receive the power of God, it will change your face. All right, let's try this side over here. You can't receive from Jesus and still look the way you regularly look. When you receive the virtue and the anointing and the power that comes from Jesus. Something about your countenance is gonna say I just came in contact with the Lord, jesus Christ and the power of God and I know I'm healed, I know I'm forgiven, I know I'm delivered, I know he's changed my life. In other words, her faith made her whole. Praise the Lord. All right, go back to mark 11, 23. What time is it y'all? Y'all doing okay? So here's how jesus said this faith work. You can see it in mark chapter 5 praise the lord. Jesus said whosoever shall what say? So the first thing jesus said about faith is what the saying part I Like to set this way the Word of God. You got your Bible there.

Speaker 1:

The Word of God is a spoken thing. It came out of God's mouth. It did not come out of God's pen. It was spoken before it was written and it was written so it could be spoken. It needs a voice. When you take God's word and put it in your mouth, I call that mouth-to-mouth resuscitation from God. When you take God's word and put it in your mouth, you inhale the faith of God, the life of God. So the word of God was not just written, it was spoken before it was written and it was written so it could be spoken.

Speaker 1:

In other words, faith works by saying and you can't hire nobody to say it for you. I mean, you can't pay me enough to say it for you. Why? Because your voice is your address. You hear your preacher's voice, but your mouth gonna have to hear your boy. The devils go, flee from you, not from me. In other words, you say so. You can't just say je would have said y'all shut up, I'll talk for you. No, he said you have authority as a believer and you're gonna have to say come on. A part of your identity is your voice print. There is no other voice print like your voice print, fingerprint. I print voice print. When you say that's your address, your voice goes up into heaven and angels come and devils leave, and the answer comes when you lift your voice. So the devil tell you shut up, be quiet. But if you say no, I'm gonna have to say something right now. Matter of fact, if you knew how significant this was, you'd look in the mirror every morning, look at yourself and say I'm fixing to say a few things right now. Now, my favorite, my favorite one, y'all wanna hear. My favorite one, y'all wanna hear, my favorite one, is Acts, chapter 16, verse 25.

Speaker 1:

At midnight, paul and Silas are in prison, their backs are bleeding, their hands are bound, their feet are bound. They're the deepest part of the prison. At midnight, darkest time, and here they are in a stinking, dirty roman prison, hands bound, feet bound, backs bleeding. And at midnight the scripture says they lifted up their voices and they prayed. Lifted their voices to god and they sang praises to god. And the prisoners heard, heard them. Now, when I get to heaven, I'm gonna check out this video, act 1625, because this is amazing miracle. Here they are in the inner prison at midnight, in pain, backs are bleeding. Come on, what could they have done? They could have said well, it was your idea to come over and preach. Anyhow, you idiot, huh, come on. Oh, they could have said why me Lord, why why Lord, why me Lord? And said what they do? They just lift their voice to begin to magnify God. They started praising God and while they're praising God, come on, the power of God came to their address, shook the whole prison, opened every door, every chain fell off and they walked right out of that prison. I wanna know what you're gonna do at midnight, when it seems like nothing else is working for you. Suddenly, everybody is set free, y'all still here.

Speaker 1:

So I thought I would like to imagine Paul and Silas in prison, hands bound, feet bound, and they're like all right, mr Devil, you did a good job. You got me hurting, I'm bleeding. You got my hands bound and you got my feet bound. But, mr Devil, you have made one mistake. You should have taped my mouth shut, because as long as I can move my mouth, I can move a mountain. So I refuse to be silent in my pain. I'm gonna lift my voice and start singing praise to God. And while they're singing praise to God, their voices went all the way up in the heaven and the power of God came down and shook the whole prison. Chains fell off and they walked out free.

Speaker 1:

What are you going to say? Come on now. What are you going to lift your voice and say when you're hurting and everything's going wrong? I refuse to be silent. I said I refuse to be silent when I lift my voice. There's authority in my voice, there's power in my voice. I have faith in God. I have faith in God, I have faith in the power of God and I'll lift my voice. Whoo. Y'all ought to be praising the Lord better than that, just off of Acts 16.

Speaker 1:

If your faith is not strong enough to move your mouth, it will never move a mountain. Try this side over here. So, instead of talking negative, some people get under pressure and they go silent. How all got impression. Go silent. You know, my wife say how you doing. I say don't talk to me right now. So some people just go silent. Well, well, you're not using the greatest power, the authority that you have as a believer. And the Lord said to me listen close. The authority of the believer is not just available, it is necessary. If you don't exercise it, the devil will take advantage of your negligence. Let's try this out over here. In other words, this is some pretty serious delegation of authority that you have this thing called faith in God. You have authority as a believer, authority over devils and demons and evil spirits. God's given you authority, not a victim, come on now, but a victor, to move the mountain, change the scenery, lift your voice. You gotta say something.

Speaker 1:

So my mama in our family, my mama, was the loudest praiser. It's allowed his praise. Matter of fact, we go to church and you could hear my mama going, praise the Lord. She didn't even need anybody to encourage her. She's like First responder and other people be there going. Why ain't nothing happening? I don't feel nothing, you feel anything. And my mom would say praise the Lord. She stir herself up. So when the devil tells you ain't nothing happen, you say well, some happening right now, praise the Lord. So she had lift her voice, start praising the lord, and then she'd shout whoa. And then she'd run around the church. Now, when I grew up I was always embarrassed because there goes, my mama run around the church. Yeah, she wonder where she ran around church.

Speaker 1:

So people ask my daddy say why is your wife velma? That's my mama's name, why is velma running around the church? My daddy say why is your wife Velma? That's my mama's name. Why is Velma running around the church? My daddy would say go ask her. Because usually if somebody's happier than you you ought to just ask them why. Because usually there's a testimony there somewhere that you don't know. So, mom, praise the Lord, then she'd go run around the Lord. And then she'd go run around the church and then there'd always be a few runners that run with her. Then, once you light that fire, then other people get lifted like praise the Lord, hallelujah, and they started running and shouting and stuff. Then the service is out of control. The devil hates it when the service is out of control. The devil hates it when the service gets out of control. And so mama run, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And my daddy would say some of you think this is not necessary, and it is not necessary. Unless it's necessary, all right, let's try this out. Unless it's necessary, all right, let's try this out. How many of y'all think you know what's necessary and what's not necessary? Well, you don't always know.

Speaker 1:

If God said it's necessary for you to shout while the walls are still standing, you better shout while the walls are still standing. If it's necessary to say, that's just your part, but your faith is in God, the power of God. You just do your part. There is a God, I'm not him. My part is to say something about this. My part is to lift my voice. My part is to praise him. I'll do my part. Let God do his part. Do his part. Praise the Lord.

Speaker 1:

My mama kind of had a low voice so you could kind of hear when she was starting to warm up. She did as a house to at home, but a church. You'll praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, hallelujah. Thank you Jesus. Glory to God, and my mama's always do. I plead the blood of Jesus. I plead the blood devil. You a liar. I mean I go ahead and tell the devil what he is. You are a liar. I'm redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Praise the Lord, hallelujah. Thank you Jesus. Well, if you didn't know, you'd think well, that's just an excited lady, but I know because she's my mama.

Speaker 1:

So when my mom and dad first started pastoring, the church in West Columbia had about 20 people, no money, lived in a little parsonage and my mama had a nervous breakdown. Think of it. The pastor's wife had a nervous breakdown. My dad had a heart attack. We didn't have no money and I was one year old and got my thumb cut off in a bicycle chain. It's still gone. That means I can only hitchhike that way, we only going that way. So I always wanted to be somebody. And then I got my thumb cut off. So I've had people say you pray for people, that get healed and you're missing your thumb. I say, well, you're missing your brain. Go ahead and pray for people. So everything's going wrong. You got that.

Speaker 1:

In the middle of that, kenneth Hagin comes in and starts teaching on the authority of the believer, that whosoever shall have whatsoever, he saith you have authority in life, mountain moving authority. So my dad got a hold of it and went to the back bedroom where my mama was in depression. We didn't know. She told us later some bad things had happened to her when she was a young lady and all of that came back on her and she couldn't shake it. So even though she saved, she didn't know about the authority of the believer.

Speaker 1:

So my dad said, aha, here's what we're gonna do. So he goes to the back bedroom and in my mama's name, velma. He says Velma, you're gonna have to start saying something. So he'd say he'd get the word out. Now, velma, we're gonna say second Timothy 1, 7.

Speaker 1:

God has not given me a spirit of fear, but a power and of love and of a sound mind. She'd say amen. He said no, say it and she go. God is not giving me a spirit of fear we're weak, you know but a power, love, a sound man. Say it again, say it again, say it again, say it again. Then he is switch over to Psalm 27. That's on 27 was my mom's favorite song all her life. Y'all know some 27. No, you don't. Anyway. Psalm 27, my mom.

Speaker 1:

So she would take that word and put it in her mouth and lift her voice. Y'all know some 27. Here's what it says the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? All right, let's start over again, you know. You see, you don't have to know Greek to resist the devil. He knows English. People said one. Now watch the Greek word for that. The English want to work. Just stick with it. The Lord is my life and my salvation. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? Come on, there's so many different kinds of fears. I said so many different kinds of fears, 365 different kinds of fears. 365 different kinds of fear. You can just say some words of people Fear.

Speaker 1:

The psalmist David said I cried to the Lord and he delivered me from all my fear. That's living fearless, he said. Even if the whole earth is removed, I will not fear. Let's try this out. That's a pretty strong commitment to not being afraid, isn't it? You get up in the morning, walk out on the porch and the whole earth is removed and you say, oh, I better go have some coffee, listen. In other words, no matter what is happening, I resist fear. I refuse to fear. The Lord is the strength of my life. I will not be afraid. Come on when the doctor comes and tells me your wife has an inoperable brain tumor that will leave her paralyzed for the rest of your life.

Speaker 1:

People say what are you gonna do? I said I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I can tell you what I'm not gonna do. I refuse to fear, I refuse to worry. I refuse to allow my imagination to paint up pictures of this disaster in my life. I have faith in God. My job is to open the door to the supernatural and it's God's job to move the tumor. I have very little experience at moving tumors, but I do know how to believe and speak. Are y'all ready for this? So I'm gonna say the Lord is my light. Excuse me, I'm going to put one foot here. Is that all right? The Lord is my light and my salvation.

Speaker 1:

Whom shall I fear? You say well, I believe that, pastor. That's a wonderful form. It ain't enough to believe it. Camel breath, you got to say it. That is the point.

Speaker 1:

People say I believe the Bible from Genesis to maps. No, you have to say it. It works by saying. And then some people even say finally, you get them to say something. They say it with a whine in their voice. They go say I do all things to grab the oh I can you are playing for in. They go I can do all things through Christ. Come on, come on. Come on, get the wine out of your voice. Come on, get the sissy out of your voice. Come on, get some faith in your voice right now. Get some boldness in your voice. I boldly say the Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man shall do unto me. All right, let's go back to Psalm 27. I'm working with this and this is still the introduction. The lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The lord is a strength of my life. Of whom I be afraid? I'm strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. I'm strong physically, I'm strong mentally. I'm strong financially. I am strong in the law. Let the weak say I am strong.

Speaker 1:

Dad Hagen would say I lay hands on myself. He's in his 80s, you know, and he's preaching twice a day, you know, two weeks at a time. In his 80s. He said I lay hands on myself and say I command strength into my body. And then he would say who said how you feeling? He'd say I feel great, I feel fine now, body getting line. Come on now. If I say I feel great, I feel fine now, body get in line.

Speaker 1:

All right, let me finish this Praise the Lord. Y'all listening slow is just taking me a little while. All right, the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. The unholy should encamp against me. I will not fear. The war should rise against me, and this will I be confident.

Speaker 1:

One thing have I desired of the Lord, and that will I seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion, in the secret of his tabernacle. He shall hide me, and now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me. Therefore, in his tabernacle will I offer sacrifices of joy. Can we have a sacrifice of joy? Hey, hey. It says I'm gonna give the Lord a sacrifice of joy.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you look that word up, it literally means shouting. I'm going to give the Lord a sacrifice of shouting. That's a victory shout. That's a victory shout, it's a happy shout, it's a triumphant shout. Don't doubt, just shout. God will work it all out For those tough stains. You gotta shout them out. All right, let's try that again.

Speaker 1:

I said come on, you got some tough stains working on you. You better shout it out. Come on, lift your voice and say the Lord is my life and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, all right, I'm going to close this notebook. That don't mean nothing, because I ain't finished. So if you have to leave, just hold up one finger and leave. That means I ain't mad, I just gotta go, or go to the bathroom, whatever it is. So is that necessary? Oh, not necessary. Less is necessary Must be necessary. Praise the Lord Must work that way.

Speaker 1:

So if I'm going to have faith in God, then I'm going to have faith in God, then I'm going to have faith in the word of God, then I'm going to have faith in the blood of Jesus. I call that slinging blood everywhere. And I said what do you mean? You have faith in the blood? Well, it's not enough to believe it, you're going to have to say it. So they, I get up in the morning, y'all ready for this.

Speaker 1:

And I say Hebrews 9 12 neither by the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, he entered in once into the holy place and he obtained eternal redemption for us. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who, through the eternal spirit, offered himself without spot to God, purge my conscience from dead works to serve the living God. I'm washed in the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus purges me from every defilement of the enemy. There's not one thing in me the blood does not cleanse. I'm cleansed by the blood. I'm washed by the blood. I'm blessed because of the blood. I have authority. By the blood, come on, I overcome Satan by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony. I have access in the presence of God by the blood.

Speaker 1:

So I want to say something about the blood. That means I'm slinging blood everywhere. That means I apply that blood. I apply it with my faith, and there is no faith without the saying part of faith. Are you good at this? Where there's no faith without the confession of faith? Praise the Lord. All right, I'll finish with this praise the Lord and some the Lord. If you have to go, it's okay, we'll talk about you after you leave, but it'll be hard for you. So just kidding.

Speaker 1:

So what you teach on that too much. You don't teach on that, you teach on it too much. So dad Hagen, he taught on. He's the one that taught me and after I listened to him a hundred times, I went oh, that's what I'm supposed to be doing. So I might be a slow learner, but I'm still a learner. So Dad Hagen was teaching on it. So other preachers told him you teach on that too much, you're into extreme. So dad Hagen said well, if I am, I'm going to back off because I don't want to teach people wrong. So he said I said, well, okay, I'll back off.

Speaker 1:

So he says praying with his bible open at the altar at the front of the church. While he's praying, the Lord said to him did you ever notice that in mark 11, 23, the saying part of faith is in there three times and the believing part only once? So he got his Bible out and he just read it whosoever shall say on this mountain be removed, castation out down, terribly. Those things that he said to, kind of that he shall what's every say three, how many times they believe, believe. So I've got a picture of him doing this in my office, this right here. Every time I see the picture I'm going aha. So uh-huh.

Speaker 1:

So he said the Lord told him my children are not missing it in the believing department because they are believers. They're missing it in the saying department and you'll have to do three times more teaching on the saying part than you do on the believing part Our people will never get it than you do on the believing part, our people will never get it. So he said, rather than back off, I'd have said I'm gonna crank it up. I'm glad he did, because it took me a while to finally not just say it in church but to say it at the house. All right, let's try this out. I said, finally, not just say it in church but to say it at the house. All right, let's try this out. I said, not just say it in church, but say it on Monday afternoon and Tuesday or Wednesday or while I'm driving my truck, to lift up my voice and say the Lord is my light and my salvation. You say I believe that. No, you have to say it. You say I believe that no, you have to say it Three times more. Say, say, say so.

Speaker 1:

Y'all know, minister, I think he's been here. Tattoos all over him came from the streets and all kinds of armed robberies against him. He got saved and feel the Holy Ghost, came out of prison and and now he's got a church in Philadelphia and he sings rap music. Know, son, you know I come from a little town, texas. So every time he won't take a picture with me. All the time he wants a picture. That's sick to take a picture passion. I say, okay, whatever.

Speaker 1:

And then he'd make all these finger signs. You know getting different kinds of finger signs. I said what does that mean? Said don't be doing no finger signs around me. Don't do finger signs If I don't know what that means. I don't want no finger signs on my picture. I mean, I know a few finger signs but they ain't good. So I don't want you to give me no finger signs. Y'all too holy for that. All right.

Speaker 1:

So I said I know some finger signs. So I said all right, me and you, we're going to do our own finger signs. I said, dad, hey, you're going to do three. Say, say, say, believe. So we're going to do that. I said, matter of fact, you'll be the same gang. So let's just cross our hands like this and let's make a little mug. Look on our face. What does that mean? Devil, you can go to hell with that. In other words, you're saying I'm not going to be intimidated by no doubt.

Speaker 1:

So if anybody wants to take a picture, we say, wait, let's do our sign. Am I supposed to sign this? What's that? I'm in that game, faith game. I'm a whosoever, I have whatsoever. And I say, and I say and I say and I believe, and I have what I say, not what they say, not what you say, not what the devil says, not even what the doctor says. I have what I say.

Speaker 1:

So dad Hagan said the saying part, praise the Lord. The saying part of faith is so significant. Now listen, go. He said you can school yourself into faith with your own words. What does that mean? School yourself into faith? That means when you don't feel nothing. All right, let's try that again. When failure is on every corner, you don't feel like God's even with you.

Speaker 1:

Come on now. You wonder where he is, you wonder if your back's slid. Come on, school yourself into faith with your own words Hallelujah. In other words, you position yourself in faith. Your faith is in God, the Almighty God, my father, god, come on.

Speaker 1:

I've got eight passages of Scripture that say God is able to make you stand, god is able to keep you from falling. God is able to make all grace abound towards you. God is able to do exceeding, abundantly. Above all, you can ask or think come on, because Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you. He is able to save you to the uttermost. In other words. When I have faith in God, I'm having faith in God's ability, not my own ability. My faith is in the power of God, in his ability, his grace.

Speaker 1:

I'm not gonna be quiet about it. Come on, when nobody else encourage you, just talk to yourself, encourage yourself. Come on, look in the mirror and say you're good looking. Say that's a lie. No, god sees you through the blood. Say I'm good looking. Say that's a lie. No, god sees you through the blood. Say I'm good looking, it don't matter how you look anyway. Look in the mirror and say I'm a new creature in Christ. I'm washed in the blood. I'm the workmanship of God in Christ. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside. Come, say it. Says I say what you gonna say, what you gonna say. Come on, you don't have a face, I. You have to have what your mama said. You have what you say, what you gonna say I'll.

Speaker 1:

I have authority as a believer. I'm a believer, not a doubter. I believe and I say, and I say, and I say, and I say, and I say, and I have what I say. Now just laugh at the devil a minute and say ha ha, come on, the devil's a liar. You say devil, you're a liar. Come on. Every thought he brings you, you say that's ridiculous. That's a ridiculous thought, devil, you're a liar. Come on. Every time he hits you with a pain, say shut up. Devil, you can't do that to me. Ha ha ha. I'm redeemed by the blood.

Speaker 1:

I heard Brother Copeland say one time he said the devil will kill you with a hangnail if he thought he could get away with it. He said one day. He said I came home, I've been out in the woods or something. I came home and I felt the side of my neck. And I felt something on the side of my neck and I thought he said first thought came to me is that's cancer? He said oh, I got a cancer on my, my neck. His first thought came to that's cancer. Gloria, gloria, come here, what is that on my neck? She said Kenna, you got a tick on your neck. You, you've been out in the woods, you know the devil tried to kill you with a tick. I said the devil tried to kill you with a tick.

Speaker 1:

If he can get fear in you, he can kill you with anything. But if the devil could do anything he wants to do anytime he wants to. You'd be dead already. You're still alive, you ain't dead. Come on you. You'll be dead already. You're still alive, you ain't dead. Come on, you got the power of God, you got faith in God. Ha ha, ha. All right now I learned this from Brother Hagin.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to close with this Praise God. I know some of y'all won't come back tonight anyway, so that's why I'm going long. I mean I could announce Jesus, the Apostle Paul, apostle Peter and Mother Mary will be here tonight. And some people say I think there's a football game on. Anyway, so put the word in your mouth. So I learned from Dad Hagen.

Speaker 1:

Take 23rd Psalm. Say the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, I do not lack. The Lord is my shepherd, I do not lack. I do not lack for ability, I do not lack for opportunity. I never lack for money. I never lacked for money, I never lacked for money. So God don't care what you look like on the outside, he's just looking for faith. I said he just looking for faith.

Speaker 1:

Well, y'all learn anything this morning. Say hallelujah, praise the Lord, thank you Jesus, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, hallelujah. Come on at midnight. Come on, say Mr Devil, you got my hands, got my feet, got my back, but you should have taken my mouth shut. Long as I can move my mouth, I can move a mountain, so I refuse to be silent. I lift my voice, even if I'm in the hospital. Come on, no matter where I'm at, I'm gonna lift my voice and sing praises to God. Come on and the Lord, come on. Angels are coming. Praise the Lord and devils are running. I lift my voice. The authority is in your voice. Woo, give the Lord a shout. Ha ha ha.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's make this confession of faith together. Are you ready? The Lord is my light and my salvation. I will not fear. The Lord is a strength of my life. I will not be afraid. I am redeemed. Jesus set me free. I'm redeemed by the blood. The blood of Jesus cleanses me from all sin. I boldly confess Jesus is my law. I believe in my heart and I say it with my mouth. I am saved. Jesus is my Lord, my Savior. I am saved. He is the strength of my life. Jesus is law. Sin cannot dominate me. Old habits cannot dominate me. Sickness cannot dominate. Fear cannot dominate. Jesus is my Lord. Come on, satan can no longer dominate me. Jesus has set me free. Go ahead and laugh about that, say, haha, jesus is my Lord, come on. I confess with mouth, I believe it in my heart. I am saved, I am healed. I am delivered by Jesus' stripes. I am healed, I'm washed in the blood. I'm gonna keep on saying it every day. Give the Lord a shout, hallelujah.
