Three Healing Truths

Pastor John Greiner

What if understanding biblical teachings could transform your perception of healing and prosperity? Join us on a journey through John Chapter 5 as we explore the profound connection between faith and wellness.

Speaker 1:

Get your Bibles out, please. We're going to get into the Word in this Christmas season. Let's lift them up here and wave them around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad, and let's say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad you found me. I'm so glad you came the first time. That means you're coming the second time and I want to be found doing what I've been created to do. I have a calling on my life. I'm pursuing that with all that is in me and I've got the Holy Ghost living on the inside to reveal God the Father and God the Son to me. In Jesus' name, amen, you can be seated. Let's turn in our Bibles, please, to John, chapter 5. And John, chapter 5.

Speaker 1:

I'll tell you, you know some awesome things. We're watching Bible prophecy being fulfilled. I mean, there's such. I mean you know Assad fled to Russia. You know I don't know that we're any better off with this terrorist group taking over Syria, but I know one thing Assad and his father were just as bad a terrorist as anybody you could find. They killed a lot of Jews, murdered a lot of people, used chemical weapons against his own people. I mean, he's an evil man and so it's hard not to rejoice that he had to run out of town with his tail between his legs. I'm sure he's got his billions and millions there in the bank and all of that. That's what they do. They plunder the country and then they leave. What a loser. We're glad he's gone. I don't know if he's replaced by anything better. I don't know that, but we'll find out. Praise God All right.

Speaker 1:

John, chapter 5, verse 1. And after this there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep market, a pool which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude. Everybody shout a great multitude. See, I don't know how big a great multitude is, but it's a lot of people. A multitude is a lot, but a great multitude, a mega multitude. How many is that? 10,000? 50,000? I don't know. Everybody say a great multitude, a great multitude of impotent folk of blind halt. Withered God what a word. Withered, waiting for the moving of the water, for an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water. Whosoever then, first after the troubling of the water, stepped in, was made whole of whatsoever disease he had, and a certain man was there which had an infirmity 38 years, when Jesus saw him lie and knew that he had been now a long time. In that case he saith unto him Wilt thou be made whole. The impotent man answered, said, sir, I have no man. When the water is troubled, put me into the pool, but while I'm coming, another stepeth down before me the pool. But while I'm coming, another step down before me, jesus saith unto him rise, take up that bed and walk. And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked. And on the same day was the Sabbath.

Speaker 1:

Today I wanted to preach a message entitled Three Healing Truths. I want to follow up our teaching on believing the blessing. Believe the blessing. You know we pronounced a blessing over you last week. All of you stand up. Brother Royce has prepared some cards. Are they out in the lobby yet? Are we still working on those? He's working on them, but we're preparing a little card with that blessing on there for you to have, where you can put it on your mirror and remind yourself that you are indeed blessed.

Speaker 1:

But I wanted to specifically talk about healing today and next week, because healing is part of our blessing. Healing is part of our covenant and healing is, you know, between healing and finances. You know these are battles that we have. The devil tries to stop, especially people who believe in the full gospel. We're a full gospel church, in case you didn't know it. What does it mean to be full gospel? It just means the gospel is not just for heaven, but it's for earth, it's for healing and prosperity, it's for deliverance, it's for protection, it's all the things that Jesus bought and paid for through his blood. And so my job is to keep you, you know, taught in these things, so that your faith is always at a rising place where, you know, hopefully, we can walk in health.

Speaker 1:

It's better to walk in health than in healing, you know. In other words, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. You know what I mean. I mean, if you can walk in health and you don't need healing, you've got health. But but then, if you know, with that, with when, you know, we all get attacked, we get attacked and uh, and our environment is such, the food supply is such that we're importing things that are deleterious to our health, and so then we need healing. And so three healing truths you might have heard these before. Well then, it's just water for what you are, to the seed that you already have growing inside of you, your seed of health that's growing. This will be water for it. And if I share something that you hadn't heard, well then, now it's a seed that will grow into maturity. It's a seed that will grow into maturity. And so here we see Jesus coming upon a great multitude of very ill people, impotent, I mean, they can't help themselves Blind, halt, lame, in other words, withered God what a word. Dried up, shriveled. I've seen that. I've been to where multitudes were like that, and once you've seen it, you never forget it.

Speaker 1:

My last trip with Brother Osteen in 1994, went to New Delhi where he held a great crusade in the Nehru stadium there in the capital city of India, and it was a big, looked like a football stadium, it's a soccer stadium, but it looks like foot. That's what their version of football is. And you know it's got a big stadium. It's 50, 60, 000 capacity with a big infield of grass. It looks. You know we were on one end of it with a big platform. And, uh, the first night, you know, the stadium officials gave us a count each night, first night, opening night of the of the of the meeting, 60 000 people there. A lot of them were just like this, impotent, blind halt, withered, shriveled, dried, and the second night was close to 80,000.

Speaker 1:

Well, anyway, after the second night, morning of the third day, we had meetings in the morning and after the morning meeting for pastors. There were 2,200 pastors and leaders at the morning meetings where we ministered, god used me to prophesy to that group. But after that Brother Osteen says John, I want you to sing tonight, I want to give you testimony and I was just beyond honored. You know, I just did not expect that I'm sitting on the platform and I'm talking a very important. I met the Archbishop of New Delhi, catholic Archbishop, and he lifted his hands and he said, praise the Lord. I mean he's saved, as far as I can tell. He said, oh, this is a marvelous meeting. He was not like what they were when I went to the Philippines and they were all against me picketing my meetings. The nuns were out picketing. They were against me picketing my meetings. The nuns were out picketing. They were against me, but not in New Delhi. The Archbishop of New Delhi was there to add his agreement with what Brother Osteen was doing, but anyway. So he asked me to sing and give my testimony that third night. So you know that's I'm pretty nervous. I mean we're talking. So you know I'm pretty nervous. I mean we're talking, I mean 80, that's going to be more than eight. So it turned out to be 90,000 people.

Speaker 1:

That night I stood up in front of 90,000 people, but ahead of time I had to have a sound check. So I went early to the venue and I gave them my soundtrack. I sang oh Happy Day soundtrack. I sang oh Happy Day and so I said now, look, you've got to get the volume up. I said if you let this thing go along for five seconds too low where I can't hear it, I'm going to lose my place and I'm not going to know where the song is and I can't sing the track. So you know we're going to have a crash and burn in front of tens of thousands of people. You know I was just because it happened to me, I don't know how many times. You know, you just sound person gets in there and they don't turn the track up and all tracks are different and this particular track was real low at the front end of it and you just could barely hear the background music. I've got to hear it all. I've got to hear every note so that I'll know when to come in.

Speaker 1:

So we got that solved and by the time I started my sound check, there were two or three thousand of these people, infirm, impotent, blind, halt, withered in front of me. And when I began to sing and I didn't sing the whole song, I'm just singing the first part of it and then I'm shutting it down, I mean, but oh, they were dancing and they were shouting and they were just so desperate they didn't care who it was, they were there to get healed. It's 5.30. The meeting doesn't start until 7.30. And so this Indian pastor was with me to let me in and to kind of be there while I was doing the sound check and kind of maybe even interpret for me, because not all of them speak English on the sound department and whatever. So he said, oh, he called me pastor. He said, oh, pastor, go down, they want to touch you. I said, no, no, no, the meeting, that's Brother Osteen's in charge of that. No, no, really, it will be terribly offensive. Oh, you need to go down there.

Speaker 1:

And I listened to the doofus. I mean, you know, I shouldn't have listened to him. He didn't know what he's talking about. I did, I knew it wasn't right. But I went down there and oh, they just mobbed me and they tried to touch me as if I could do anything for them.

Speaker 1:

I'm not in ministry mode. I can't. I can't, just they can't just touch me and get their healing. You know, that's not what I'm there for. I'm there a man under authority. I'm not there to minister to their needs. Yet that's going to be later.

Speaker 1:

See, they don't know that. They're just desperate. They're looking for a man, they're looking for a meeting, they're looking for anything and anybody that can relieve them of being withered. And one man had this terribly deformed baby in his arms and he came and got my hand and put it on the baby like that. I'll never forget the look on his face, so desperate Tears running down his face. Precious little child, it's just hopelessly deformed. And I got out of there as fast as I could. I felt so bad, so guilty, that they had almost worshiped me. That's their culture. They had 330 million gods and counting and counting. Oh, I tell you, you never forget it.

Speaker 1:

And so that's the scene that Jesus came on, mostly Jews. They have a covenant, but they don't know how to receive from their covenant. So they're there looking for a manifestation. God and his mercy is so wanting people to get healed. The church is all of the church of Jesus Christ has been set against sickness and disease. We're set against it. Jesus said go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them. That believe In my name they shall cast out demons. In my name, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. The sick, not the Christian. Sick, not the good goody. Two shoes sick, not the. I mean just the sick, the sick. Everybody say the sick. I mean there's no explanation, just the sick. How many sick people's? No explanation, just the sick. How many sick people do you know? They're everywhere. They're everywhere. Sick people are everywhere and God wants them healed. And so these Jews, who had a covenant, were reduced to waiting around for a sovereign move of God. I mean God, in his mercy, sent an angel every season. Now we don't know how far apart these seasons are. What if they're? What if they're a month apart? Then these people are laying there in that hot desert place in Jerusalem. It's cold in the winter, hot in the summer.

Speaker 1:

Bethesda five porches. You know the Naval Hospital, bethesda, maryland. See, our country has got a Christian culture that is in danger of being stomped out. Thank God, this last election we finally got some Christians standing up for what is right and we're not going to be kowtowing down to Islam and Hinduism and all these false religions anymore. This is the God of America, the God that celebrates Bethesda. Five porches. Five's the number of grace, five's the number of the five-fold ministry. Five is a very significant Bible number.

Speaker 1:

God wants people healed, even if they're not right with him, even if they don't believe, even if there's no faith. He wants them healed. It's better when we can get them to have some faith. That's why we teach and preach. I mean he had a great multitude. Why didn't he minister to the great multitude? Because there was zero faith there. This man had zero faith.

Speaker 1:

Was he looking for Jesus? No, he was looking for a man to take advantage of a manifestation that he didn't know exactly when it was going to occur, but he'd already been there enough to miss it. Can you imagine what that felt like? You finally get somebody who's going to take him down there anyway, anybody that's there needs healing, so why would they bother with him? Why would they prefer him? And okay, I'll step aside and let you be first. Let me carry you down to the water. That's not going to happen. So what's he going to do? How does Jesus handle this situation?

Speaker 1:

He focuses on this one man who had no faith and asked him this question will you be made whole? Are you willing to be made whole? Sir? I have no man. He's looking for a man and the word is right, his source is right there. He doesn't know it. Rise, take up your bed and walk. And he rose and took up his bed, if you keep reading. He went on down the road and, of course, the Jews had to come apart because he's carrying his bed on the Sabbath. It's a Sabbath day. Jesus healed him on the Sabbath. See, he does that over and over. Through the Bible. He confronts dead religion, the hypocrisy of religion. And so what are you doing? Carrying your boat? I'm just doing what the man that healed me told me to do.

Speaker 1:

Who was it? I don't know. He didn't know him yet. He didn't know Jesus yet, and yet he's walking around the hill. 38 years, 38 years, oh, come on, lift your hand right now. God wants you well, he wants you healed.

Speaker 1:

And so they were just reduced to waiting around for a sovereign move of God. It's kind of like a groundhog day. When is a groundhog going to come out of the box and see his shadow? We'll know how much more winter we've got. We don't even have winter yet here. I mean, it's just barely winter now. I mean, just think of that. Think about how miserable they were, the kind of condition they were in, waiting and waiting and waiting. And yet they had a covenant that was already provided what they needed, if they just knew how to access it.

Speaker 1:

That's why I teach this. I can't assume that everybody knows what I know. In fact, that's what God told me. He said teach the things you take for granted. This next generation doesn't know what you know. So I just do it. I don't care if you've heard it a hundred times. I'm going to teach it 101. I'm going to teach it 120. I'm going to keep teaching it until there's no sick people. There's no sick people.

Speaker 1:

So by focusing on this one particular person, jesus shows how to take the guesswork out of healing. There's no guesswork, there's no mystery about it. There's no doubt about what God desires Remove the uncertainty and destroy the doubt. So three healing truths God wants us to have to take with us, simple things. Like I said, most of us know these things.

Speaker 1:

If you've been coming for a while, you probably heard different things. It's built your faith. But we have new people show up all the time. We have people coming from other backgrounds. I've never heard any reasonable teaching on healing, or even the blessing, much less anything else.

Speaker 1:

So the first thing, the first healing truth God wants us well and whole period, get allow out of your vocabulary. Well, god allowed this, for no, he didn't allow anything. He made provision for health and healing. That's what he wants for you. There's no allowing you allow, we allow. We've got the power of binding and loosing or preventing or allowing. So if there's any allowing, it's you, it's you, you buy. Either through ignorance or through or whatever. Or disobedience, we allow. Well, I wonder. Ignorance, or through, or whatever? Or disobedience, we allow. Well, I wonder why God allowed. No, god doesn't allow anything, he does not allow. See, you've got to stop saying I've heard it if I wasn't so strong.

Speaker 1:

Pastor, why are you so strong? Because I've heard uninitiated Christians say it and it's because they've never been taught anything. They're not in a full gospel church. They know all about getting saved because they get saved every week. They come up in the altar call every week to rededicate. I mean that's how pitiful the teaching is. All they get is salvation, week after week. They don't get anything else. They don't get any other Bible knowledge except how to get saved. And so, after they get saved one week and then the next week, you know they do a few things they're ashamed of. Oh, I better go up there. I need to rededicate. No, you don't. You could have handled that whenever you missed it down last week. First, john 1.9 is how to handle that? Not coming up in an altar call to get saved again. When are you going to finally be saved? See, they're not even taught anything. Much less healing, much less prosperity.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, god allowed me to lose my business. God sent a thunderstorm and burned up my. I talked to a guy one time. He said God sent a thunderstorm and a lightning, hit his carpet cleaning truck and burned it up. And so now he's broke. He moved back to Utopia, texas, to start over. I said God didn't send that thunderstorm, the devil sent it. What He'd never heard, such a thing. He got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Speaker 1:

Tell people the truth. God wants us well and whole. Now see this miracle of healing 38 years. Laying for 38 years, no telling how long he'd laid there waiting for the troubling of the water, we don't know. Jesus knew he'd been there a long time. He focused on him. This is an Old Testament miracle. Well, pastor, no, it's in the New Testament. I know it's in the New Testament, but it's before Jesus died on the cross and took our sicknesses and carried our infirmities. So then, it's Old Testament.

Speaker 1:

Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. This is an example of the lost sheep. They don't know their covenant. Why? Because the priesthood was bankrupt. Judaism was bankrupt. It was religion.

Speaker 1:

Jesus said you're of your father, the devil. The works of your father you shall do. That's what he told the Pharisees, and they were supposed to be the most holy group and there was no teaching priest. They, the priest, quit teaching the the the Bible. They didn't educate the people in their covenant. Are you with me now? So that's why Jesus came. Jesus came to reveal the father. So God responded to their need by his sovereign act of the of the of the water being troubled.

Speaker 1:

But then, when Jesus came to this man, you know he's basically saying you know, will you be made whole? You know, all you need is standing right next to you. He still didn't get it. He didn't get it, but Jesus healed him anyway. Rise, take up your bed and walk, and there he goes down the road. See, take up your bed and walk, and there he goes down the road. See, god wants you well and whole. How much more. We have a better covenant than they did, founded upon better promises. Hebrews 8, 6. Are you with me now?

Speaker 1:

The second thing that I see in this miracle is that God is not limited in his healing power by a man, a move or a meeting. He's not limited. He's not limited by a man or a move or a meeting. Sir, I have no man. Well, he didn't need one. He had the man, the son of man, christ Jesus. He didn't know it, though. See. Here's an example, see 12 out of the 19 healing miracles in the Bible mentioned the faith of the recipient. This is one of the seven. That does not mention the faith of the recipient. Now, it's still better to have faith. That's the sure thing. That's why I teach this. We have a better covenant, so we, we should know all about our cover. We should know what, what it means, what it, what it includes, and we need to drive out every religious idea that we've ever had about healing, because, what you know, these, these religious ideas, most of these religious ideas, are based on theories. You know they'll say well, you know, know, healing is not for us today. It passed away. Well, that's a theory, and I like what Brother Hagin's definition of a theory is. A theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion. They suppose that healing passed away Because they've never seen any healing in their church, because they don't teach squat, they don't teach the word, they teach theories, they teach opinions, they teach experiences that are not valid. I mean, if you went by the group hanging around this pool, this great multitude, you listen to all of them. The only way for them to get healed is somebody got them. If they got in there first, that was the only way. Well, that wasn't the only way. Ha ha ha, your theory stinks. Are you all with me now. He's not limited by a man or a move or a meeting. You know, when I went down to that group of people, they focused on me. I'm there. They didn't care about Brother Osteen. They didn't know brother Osteen from Adam. They didn't care about all that. They'd heard some stuff. They might've even been in the two meetings before and there were.

Speaker 1:

Miracle. I mean, I saw one Sikh, a Sikh. S I K H is a, a brand of uh, hinduism. Our, our symbol is the cross, their symbol is the cross swords. They're violent. I mean a lot of the terrorism and the violence and the murder and the killing and stuff is done by Sikhs in India. Sikhs, man, they hate Christians, they hate Muslims. So there's a lot of opposition there.

Speaker 1:

And he was a Sikh. How do you know? It was just the way he was dressed and his beard. That's what the guy you know, one of the pastors up on the platform told me. And he was lame and he had this way of walking on the stick and he just would have to swing his leg around it. One leg was kind of dead and he walked and was really curious how he got around.

Speaker 1:

And I mean, I think it was the second night, brother Osteen led everybody that needed healing in a prayer and he got up and he threw that stick down and he walked up an incline. They had this incline, not steps, but they had this incline like you'd see a wheelchair ramp. Well, that's kind of what it was like. It wasn't four wheelchairs, but it was just a way. They didn't want to have to build steps. It's hard to build steps so they just built this slanted thing and he came up on the platform and gave testimony that Jesus was his Lord now because he had gotten healed. See, he got healed first and then he gave his heart to Jesus. Whoo glory to God.

Speaker 1:

You don't have to go, you don't have to have a man, you don't have to have a meeting. They, they, you know, if they only knew they could, they could get saved there. There's Christian churches in India, there's preachers in India. You can get saved, you can enter into your covenant, you can learn how to access God through Jesus Christ. There's one mediator between God and man the man, christ Jesus. You don't need some go between you, don't need some holy man, you don't need some meeting. Am I against those meetings? No, I've been to Benny Hinn meetings. I've been to healing meetings. I've had men of God, women of God lay hands on me for various things.

Speaker 1:

I'm not against it, but I'm just saying, if you limit it to that, see, I want you to grow in your faith so that you can access your covenant. You know, without a whole lot of help Now you can help others. Now I mean, once you've received something from the faith and the anointing of someone else, you're going to have to be able to develop your faith to keep it. You've got to develop your faith enough to keep it, because the devil will come back and try to steal it. Are y'all with me? Now we can come directly to Jesus to be healed. Basically, jesus said to the man do you want to be well, look and listen to me? And he did. I mean, he did get up and he walked away with his bed up on his shoulder, if you keep reading.

Speaker 1:

Which brings me to my third fact, see. First of all, god wants us all well and whole. Number two he's not limited in his healing power by a man, a meeting or a move. You don't have to go to some pilgrimage, you don't have to go to some city. I've seen people go, travel across the country to go get delivered, get the devil cast out of them. All you've got to do is sit in this church and hear what we're saying. Come up to this altar, you get the devil cast out of you. You don't need to go to Omaha, you don't need to go. I'm just throwing Omaha out. I don't know what's in Omaha, but anyway. I mean, people go to all this trouble, but you know, hey, you don't have to go anywhere. Trouble, but you know, hey, you don't have to go anywhere.

Speaker 1:

He's right here, the last one to keep our healing. We must guard our heart or our spirit. See, all healing is spiritual. It's a thing of the heart. If we keep reading, we see this man. They start chewing him out for carrying his bed. Well, I'm just doing what the man that healed me told me. Well, who is he? I don't know.

Speaker 1:

And then later, in verse 14, jesus found the man in the temple. You know what he did. He went to the temple. That kind of speaks volumes of him because he saw that he just got healed. He doesn't know who did it, but he went to the temple to thank God for being free. And Jesus found him there and said you know, go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto you. Go and sin no more. So we see that he was a sinner, that he had allowed you want to talk about allowing well, sin had allowed the devil to afflict him for 38 years. He said go and sin no more, lest a worse thing you mean worse than being lame for 38 years. I don't even want to know what that is, but that's what Jesus told him. He said go and sin no more.

Speaker 1:

And so that tells me that we've got to keep our hearts right, we've got to keep short accounts with God. I mean, when we miss the mark, we always know it right. When we miss it, we know when we've sinned. Don't wait, don't say, well, I've got to get to church, you don't need to get to church, you just need to confess to God that you can send right now, not later, not not when you feel holy, and all of that.

Speaker 1:

We have a bunch of religion again, theories, ignorance of the subject under discussion. It's just a false. It's a false way to live. No, a Christian should live close to God. We should run to God, not from him. When we miss the mark, we run immediately to him. God, we should run to God, not from him. When we miss the mark, we run immediately to him. Oh Lord, I missed it. Sorry, forgive me, father.

Speaker 1:

I confess that at 1 John 1, 9. I believe I received my forgiveness, my cleansing. Thank you, lord. You're faithful. Watch over your word and perform it, thank you. And then you forget it, you don't think about it, you don't carry that thing around with you another second and the devil reminds you. Oh well, I did that, but I'm free now. Praise God, I done, confessed it and it's under the blood. Ha ha ha. You can't do anything with that. And you shut the door on it right in his face. Slam the door right in his face. Hits him right in the nose, bam, because he already has his head and his nose in your tent. You slam the door and hit him right in the face, bam, he'll. He'll quit sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

Speaker 1:

We have to remove all obstacles to health and healing. I mean, let's walk in love. You know, if you really want to know the truth, the biggest thing is you know the love walk. You know it's not some big, terrible thing, terrible sin. Love walk, you know. Let's walk in love. Let's walk in forgiveness. When people you know step on your toes, forgive them, forgive Quit, you know just on and on and on, and you know carrying all kind of offense and carrying all kind of grudges and all of that kind of thing, it's just so much better to walk free.

Speaker 1:

You keep short accounts. You know when you've missed the mark, you know it. That's the moment we confess. 1 John 1.9.

Speaker 1:

If we confess our sin, god is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. So as soon as we do that, it doesn't matter about a feeling of guilt, a feeling of shame. You can stand against that feeling. That feeling has no power because you, the blood, is stronger than anything and your feelings will follow your faith and not the other way around. You're not righteous when you feel like it. In fact, when you feel that way, you're kind of in danger. To be honest with you. You start feeling real confident in yourself all the time, like you can't do any wrong. Well, we can all do wrong and we all do wrong on a regular basis. Do we have to? Well, we don't have to. No, because I'll tell you what now. If you exercise the blood and your covenant enough, and you pray in tongues and you get in the Bible. You know you can live pretty much a sinless life.

Speaker 1:

We've preached down to people where they've just got to. You know. Oh well, we all sin, we've all sinned. Well, we've all sinned past tense. But we don't have to keep sinning. We don't want to.

Speaker 1:

Do you want to Then get saved? If you want to sin, get saved, because you're not saved. If you want to, salvation ruined me for wanting to sin. I don't, I don't like it. I, if I missed the mark, I hate it. I can't wait to get it off out of me and cleansed and in front and under the blood. I don't wait. I don't wait till next week. I don't wait to come up to the altar and an altar call. That's a bunch of bunk. Are y'all with me now? Praise God. We have to remove all obstacles. He said go and sin, no more or less. The worst thing happened to you. That's the Old Testament. We've got in the New Testament.

Speaker 1:

You know, when they sinned they had all kind of stuff they had to do. They had to have sin, offering, trespass offering. They had to kill animals. It cost them money. It cost them money. It cost them a lot of money. When they sinned, they had to go to the temple. They had to have somebody else do all this stuff. I mean all these rituals, blah, blah, blah. All this stuff, you know. Throw the blood all over the altar and do all this stuff.

Speaker 1:

Jesus died one time. For you, it's all taken care of. All you've got to do is say I was wrong. Lord, forgive me. Glory to God. Oh, thank God, we've been delivered from religion, so we remove all obstacles to health and healing and we check our love, walk. We forgive others and we walk in fellowship with God. Come on, lift your hands right now, father. Thank you for these three healing facts. Praise God.

Speaker 1:

I want everybody to stand up. I'm going to lead us in a healing confession now and let's all stand together. Praise God. We all fight battles in our health. Some of you are in a battle right now and you're believing God for healing, and others of you just got healed, and others of you. You know things happen in this life, but you know, thank God, we've got a covenant. Let's lift a hand to heaven. Let's say this together or repeat after me God's perfect will for me is my healing and health.

Speaker 1:

Jesus does what doctors and men can't do. I received Jesus as my healer. I look to him. By your stripes, jesus, I am healed, I walk in love. I forgive others. Nothing can hinder my health. I'm well and whole. In Jesus' name, come on, let's shout the victory now. Hallelujah, glory to God. Hallelujah Now. I recommend you can be seated and I recommend that you adopt a good confession every day and base it on the word and uh and speak it every day, in fact multiple times a day. The word is medicine to all your flesh. Proverbs, chapter four says it's like medicine.

Speaker 1:

Irma, where's Irma? Irma Clifton, can I give you a testimony? Irma, irma, I had a word of knowledge Sunday night a couple of weeks ago about pain in the leg, from the knee down to the ankle in the front of the leg is what I saw and a number of people came up for that night and she was one of them. And when I went over to see her she said the doctor, she had had pain in that, in that knee, a lot of pain, and she went to the doctor. You know she stood against it. She's a mature Christian, she knows her covenant and you know she's one of our matriarchs in this church. I mean, she's a she, she. You know, if you need, need a mother to get under some wings where you, you meet Irma, she's, she's, she's that, she's that what she is. It's what she, that's what she is. But uh, so I know that about her.

Speaker 1:

And so she said I went to the doctor and he told me that I had cartilage in my knee that was thin as paper Is that right? He said it was her cartilage and her knee was thin as paper and he had referred her to a specialist. So then I had that work. Now she's standing against it. I know, I know her. She's not going to just just go to the doctor. She didn't go to the doctor until she'd stood against this and spoken the word of God over her knee and resisted pain and all of that. But it's it's beginning to hinder her and and and. So she went to the doctor. I mean you got to do something. It's just not. You can't keep going along with limping and and giving into that pain. So the doctor said, thin as paper, referred her to a specialist and in the meantime she comes to church on a Sunday night. Probably didn't feel like coming back Sunday night Takes a lot of effort sometimes to come twice on a Sunday, especially when you're hurting. But here she is and I had a word of knowledge about it. She comes up. She told me that I laid my hands on her and I know she believes. I mean, I felt the power of God go out of my hands and uh, and so then she went back to the specialist and the specialist says well, why are you here? And she said well, I went to the my, my other, my general practitioner, and he told me that I, my cartilage, was thin as paper and he said well, have you got any pain?

Speaker 1:

He she said well, no, not now. See, all the pain left After prayer. All the pain had left. She said, no, not now. He said well, I don't know why you're here, you don't need anything. Your knee's perfect. Did I tell it right? Oh, come on, let's praise God. That's a whole lot better than knee God. That's a whole lot better than knee surgery. That's a whole lot better than knee replacement. I'm not knocking knee replacement. Many of you have had knee replacement.

Speaker 1:

Look, I marvel at what doctors can do, but they can't do it all and I don't care what the doctor is and who the doctor is. They can't do what Jesus can do. Oh, come on, let's lift our hands right now. Glory to God, woo, hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank you, lord. You know, when you stand in faith, you say well, I thought, you said you didn't. You know, you didn't look for a man or a well see, she wasn't looking to me, she's looking to Jesus. But because she stood, this happened in 30 years. Next month is our 30th anniversary. This has been our 30th year. All during 2024 and 30, and January 29th, 95 or 2025 is our 30th anniversary. So all 30 years I've seen this over and over.

Speaker 1:

People get into the into where they have a good confession, that they handle their confession right and they know how to believe God for their healing. And sometimes, just like this, god says okay, she's not going to have to wait to recover, I'm going to push fast forward on her healing and she's going to get a gift of healing at church and the gifts of the Spirit. A lot of times, the gifts of the Spirit are triggered by your faith. You didn't ask for that. You didn't say, oh God, heal me instantly. She never asked heal me instantly. Healing is usually you recover. Healing is usually by degree. Healing based on faith is a seed that has to have a seed time, and God just said okay, her seed time is right now. How many of you are willing for that to happen? I mean, you know I'm willing for that to happen, but the Holy Ghost has got to do it. I can't do it. If I could do it I'd do it every time, but it's as the Spirit wills.
