The Cry Of Gratitude

Pastor John Greiner

Have you ever wondered if the political shifts you're witnessing are divinely guided? Step into a thought-provoking discussion on how gratitude and faith are shaping both our nation and personal lives. We express thankfulness for recent political changes, examining how they may be steering America back to its foundational values, much like Israel's biblical inheritance. Uncover how divine intervention is perceived in these victories, alongside a celebration of unity overcoming divisive ideologies, and consider what this means for our future.

Speaker 1:

Let's get into the Word together tonight about Thanksgiving. Let's lift our Bibles up and wave them around. Let's say this together Say, heavenly Father, I'm so grateful for the election, I'm grateful for the country moving to righteousness, moving out of the chaos and the ungodliness of the Democrat Party. Thank you, lord, for people standing up from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all colors, all races, all genders. Lord, the lies of the left are seen for what they are lies. The deception is just out there for everyone to see, and now we know most people see it. We're grateful that our prayers have been answered and we're gonna keep praying. The work's not over. We're still resisting the spirit of Antichrist. So give us the word of God tonight to build our faith, to give us victory in Jesus' name. Amen. We never want to forget our main purpose is restraining the spirit of Antichrist. That's the main thing. It's not so much about elections that's included but it's about the spirit of Antichrist and keeping that spirit in check.

Speaker 1:

Tonight I want you to turn to two places James, chapter five. We'll start there, and then also Genesis, the 15th chapter, and we'll start with James chapter five, verse one James writing to the church. He says go to, or really what that means is come now. You rich men weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered and the rest of them shall be a witness. I want you to say that out loud. The last days Notice what it says the wages cry the hire, the wages of the laborers cry and have been defrauded wages. And the cries of them which have reaped. In other words, the laborers are entered into the ears of the Lord, of the armies of heaven. You have lived in pleasure on the earth and have been wanton. You have nourished your hearts as in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and killed the just, and he doth not resist. You Be patient, therefore, brethren, under the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth and hath long patience for it until he received the early and latter rain. Be you also patient, Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. All right, and then let's head back to Genesis 15. This is God cutting the covenant with Abram, or Abraham, and I'll skip down to verse 13. And he, god, said unto Abram Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs and shall serve them, and they and that's talking about Egypt shall afflict them four hundred years. And also that nation whom they shall serve will I judge. And afterward shall they come out with great substance? I want you to say that great substance, and thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace. Thou shalt be buried in a good old age, but in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. And tonight I wanted to share a message entitled the Cry of Gratitude. The Cry of Gratitude here in.

Speaker 1:

You know we're winding up the year of momentum 2024, and just look at the acceleration that has happened. If you believe the prognosticators and all of the pundits, it was going to be a tiny percentage. One way or the other they couldn't call the race and it was a landslide. You know they lied or either one of two things. They either lied to keep people from going to the polls because they knew what was going to happen, or they're incompetent. I really don't know which to believe. I think a little of both.

Speaker 1:

But look at the momentum now that we have for righteousness. I mean, we've got common sense coming back into the White House. We've driven out this woke globalist, communist ideology of hate, segmenting all the population into little boxes, you know, like black men and uneducated white women. I mean, I cannot get over the Democrats. They put everybody in their little boxes and they're all angry today because they didn't perform the way that they were supposed to, and so they're wagging their fingers I remember Obama wagging his finger and Michelle Obama wagging her finger, and who do they think they are? Well, they just found out they're nothing, and they don't like it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, like it. Oh, praise, god, momentum, I can't help but laugh. Y'all are gonna have to forgive me a while. I'm just, I'm taking pleasure. I'm running victory lap, so, um, but tonight, uh, this cry of gratitude, and we, we're grateful for god. God did this. God anointed, uh, president trump to run that race, and and I mean what an amazing candidate he is and was, and what an amazing race he ran, and what a team he's in a coalition that he's assembled. It's mind-blowing.

Speaker 1:

So tonight, though, there's some truths we need to see from God's perspective. Tonight, though, there's some truths we need to see from God's perspective. We're going to look at Israel and how God gave them the land, and that is a type and shadow of the inheritance. We have an inheritance as well. It's not land, but it's everything that was bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus. I believe that America as founded is part of our inheritance and the devil has come in to try to steal it. And then we want to look at the church and its end time inheritance. We talked about that here. We read about that a few verses here in the book of James. So we'll start with Israel.

Speaker 1:

In Genesis 15, how God cut the covenant with Abraham, he said get me a heifer. And he put it out there. And God basically cut the covenant with Abraham and said you know, if this doesn't come to pass, I cease to be God, I'll die. So you know he stood behind his word. And yet it took 430 years for any kind of a manifestation of that to occur. There had to be certain events go past in order for that to happen.

Speaker 1:

In other words, for one thing it said the Amorites cup is not yet full. What does that mean? It means they hadn't sinned enough. Sin fills a cup of any nation or person, and when the sin goes, unrepentant of it fills a cup of judgment, and the Amorites were in Canaan land, in the land of their inheritance, but God couldn't take it from them yet because that cup had not yet filled. They had not sinned to the point where God would be justified in taking their land and giving it to his children. And then the second thing is, the Egyptians also had to fill a cup. It wasn't legal for them to leave Egypt yet, because Egypt hadn't filled a cup of judgment. So God had these two cups filling, and it took 430 years, and you know, we've waited four years for the Democrats to fill a cup.

Speaker 1:

And they filled a cup, and they got burned last night, and they are humiliated and they are brought low, and they're all coming unglued, and some of them are having. You know one, uh one, bet middler said she was going to drink, uh, drano, I think she said I mean, these people are, they're going. I know she didn't, but I mean she threatened. Yesterday, I think, they started smelling and seeing that things weren't quite as well with Kamala as they thought they would be. So, essentially then, though, there has to be seed time and harvest, there has to be a time of fulfillment of all these things. For these things to line up, the appointed time has to be fulfilled and there has to be perfect justice executed.

Speaker 1:

And here in the New Testament now he starts talking about this cup being filled in the end days and he starts off by saying come on, gather up you rich. And these are the rich Gentiles. These are the rich people who have no covenant with God, who have heaped up treasures, and they've heaped them up for one purpose for the last days, and God is readying himself to remove their riches from their control and pay back the people who've been defrauded in no small part. Their riches consist of money they stole from people who worked for them. I think about the working men and women of this country, how the Democrat Party has sold them a bill of goods and they lied to them for generations. They keep voting Democrat and they keep getting put at the bottom of the list.

Speaker 1:

And in the last four years, what happened? Well, we started importing people from all over the world, criminals, horrible. A few of them are decent people, but most of them are out to no good, you know, and they are giving them preferential treatment in all things. And who's suffering the most? Well, working people, regular people and so you know they've had their wages defrauded. You know if you signed a labor contract that guaranteed your wages for the next contract period Sometimes that's three years, sometimes it's five years, Depends on the trade If you're an auto worker or you're a teamster electrician, all these different labor unions in our country, the working men, many of them, have contracts that their leadership has negotiated. When you have the kind of rates of inflation that Bidenomics and Kamala put into place, where does that it steals from those people? They can't get a raise. They have it written down and writing, according to a contract, what their wages are going to be, and it's not keeping up with inflation. They're getting stolen from you think about that and, of course, all of us.

Speaker 1:

You know whatever money you've got is worth less today than it was. I was looking at a chart of how things have gone up in price. I mean, the other day I was in the store. I hadn't bought bacon in a while. I just quit buying it. You know it's not worth it to me, but I decided okay, I'm going to buy some bacon. I like to buy the 12-ounce package of center cut bacon, and I won't mention the brand, it's immaterial, but I mean I bought it for years for $3.80. And then, about a year ago I discovered it was $6.20. And the night before last I paid $7.60 for a 12-ounce package. And I did it with my teeth gritted, but I had the money. I bought it. I wanted it, I bought it, but I noted how expensive it was compared to just a while back. And I think about people who just can't buy it anymore. It's too much, it goes beyond their ability to pay that much money for bacon. I mean, bacon is, you know, more of a flavoring than it is anything else. So love bacon, though it costs you dearly.

Speaker 1:

So, getting back to the Gentiles who have heaped up treasure for the last days, he said you know you're going to reap corruption. It's going to burn your flesh as is a fire. So a lot of these fat cat corporation CEOs, these globalists, these billionaires, I mean they're going to start feeling the judgment of God in the season right ahead of us. And that was what a big portion of our prayer meeting was on last night. We prayed the judgment of God. We released judgment toward those people and toward those enemies of God, of those people who hate the cross, who hate Christians, who hate Jews. We released judgment. We prayed Psalm 5. If you've got time, just go read Psalm 5. It tells you exactly. We prayed right along with Psalm 5.

Speaker 1:

And God told me, you know, 20 some odd years ago, right after 9-11, that we would come to a place where we're going to be praying judgment over people. I mean, it's in the Bible. You know, herod was judged for killing James and he was going to try to kill Peter and the church prayed and broke Peter out of jail but the angel chased Herod down the road and Herod was worshiped and didn't give God the glory and he was smitten by an angel and eaten with worms and died Judgment. Some of these people are going to start falling down dead and it won't be because of an assassin, it'll be because of judgment.

Speaker 1:

So anyway, because of this, he talks about the cry of the wages. It says the wages are the hire of the laborers, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you, kept back by fraud, cries. And I asked the Lord one time how do wages cry? He said it's like blood. Wages are an exchange of your life. Your wages are really a symbol of your life, or your blood and blood cries, especially when it is stolen and defrauded and brought into someone's possession by illegal means and by immoral means and it wasn't sanctioned by God.

Speaker 1:

And I think about all of the you know in your life if you'll go down and we're not victims. But it's good to kind of take stock of what has been stolen from us. I mean, sometimes we know and sometimes we don't know. But promotions, profits, profit sharing, plans where the company didn't make profit because it turned woke, you know, I think about Budweiser. You know they were one of the richest beer companies on earth and then they went woke and, man, they lost about three or $4 billion in stock. You know uh, value and uh, and that's just one of many corporations. You know, when you have stock, a stock portfolio, sometimes you don't know what all the stock is that you own and and decisions they make can impact your value and it's gone. And it's not your fault, raises, that you didn't get bonuses, that you didn't get dividends, opportunities that didn't come your way. Sometimes you know about them, sometimes you don't.

Speaker 1:

And so what is our cry? A cry of anger, a cry of victimhood? No, it's a cry of faith. You know it's a cry of faith. The cries of them. See your wages are crying out. I'm in the wrong place. I belong to Griner. I belong to John Griner, and one time I was reading this and God said why don't you have enough sense to agree with your wages? Why don't you agree with your wages and cry out for your defrauded wages?

Speaker 1:

I started thinking about all the times that government policy stole from me Powers that be letter agencies. I remember when the federal government got rid of savings and loans. Savings and loans were created to fund construction of single-family homes primarily. This country was built with the money loaned by savings and loans and sometime in the 80s they just eliminated it and a source of capital for my business was eliminated. They eliminated it and a source of capital for my business was eliminated and I was forced to deal with banks who had very little capital to loan me and they loaned it at higher interest rates and lower percentages. I was always loaned 80% of appraised value and I had like a point above prime interest rate. Suddenly, when the banks got in charge and they got rid of home savings and loans, then all of a sudden it's 75% instead of 80% and all of a sudden it's two, two and a half three above prime. So it cost me at the time it cost, it stole from me, they defrauded me of wages.

Speaker 1:

I started crying out about those and so forth, got your own ideas. All the different things that you've been through, and I'm not saying victimhood, I'm saying opportunity. Right now, because we're in the end times. These have been heaped up together for the last days. God is going to have a transfer of wealth out of the hands of the wicked into the hands of the righteous, and I think we just witnessed this election as part of that whole thing, as part of it, of that whole thing. So the cry of faith you know we're not crying in agony, we're not crying in. You know the cry of faith is what stopped Jesus in his tracks.

Speaker 1:

Blind Bartimaeus sat by the highway side begging and he heard that Jesus was there and he said Jesus, thou son of David, has said I've got a covenant. And Jesus could not not heal him. What would you have me do? He asked him. What do you want, lord? That I might receive my sign? And he did Go in peace, your faith has made you whole, or whatever Jesus told him. I could go back and read it, but that was the cry of faith. Well, we have a cry of faith for our stolen wages, and we have already many of us have already cried out. I cried out a long time ago, so I don't keep crying out for them because I already did that. Now, what do we do? Well, we have the cry of gratitude. That's the, hence the name of this message the cry of gratitude. You know, the cry of faith always brings a cry of gratitude, even before we see the results.

Speaker 1:

Let's look at Luke 17. I hope you're getting something out of this. I want to give you God's perspective, maybe a little different way of looking at everything that we've been seeing. And, yes, we're praising God for an election, but there's more to it than that. There's more to it than what we're seeing. That's the reason I'm giving it to you. Luke 17, verse 11.

Speaker 1:

And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee and talking about Jesus. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off. They couldn't get close because they're unclean, and they lifted up their voices and said and the word said there doesn't mean cry, it means call. But when you lift up your voice and call, it's the same thing, isn't it? It's cry. They cried, they cried.

Speaker 1:

Jesus, master, have chesed. See, they knew that he was the Messiah, they knew they had a covenant. And when you have knowledge of your covenant, see God cut the covenant with Israel and they had a certain covenant and that's the covenant that they were basing their cry on the covenant of Abraham. But we've got a better covenant, found upon better promises for ours, but yet they cried to Jesus. Lord, have mercy on us, have hesed. We got leprosy, we want to get rid of it.

Speaker 1:

And when he saw them, he said unto them this is 10 men now, 10 all at once, unclean with leprosy. He said unto them go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed. Now what exactly is going on here? Go show yourself to the priest. Well, the Jewish law allows for the priest to determine whether someone has been truly cleansed of leprosy or not In order to be accepted back into the fellowship of the Jewish people and not be unclean anymore. Even if you think you are clean, even if you think you are healed, the priest has to certify you. And so, in effect, when Jesus told them, he said go your way and act like you're cleansed. Go your way. Were they cleansed? No, they weren't. It says as they went they were cleansed. So when the moment they turn to go, they're still unclean. It doesn't make any sense for them to go see the priest when they've still got leprosy.

Speaker 1:

But they acted on Jesus word. They simply acted on his word. All 10 of them turned and started down the road to go see the priest and as they went, they were cleansed, praise God. They acted on the word. They acted on God's word. They acted on Jesus' word. Their faith acted on the word. Faith acts like the Bible's true Faith acts on the word.

Speaker 1:

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice. A loud voice. Now see, you're getting into cry territory. You know when you cry out to God, you don't say Lord, oh, jesus. No, a cry is a shout, it's a scream, it's a loud voice, it makes a lot of racket. You don't care who hears it, you don't care who sees it, you don't care what anybody thinks. You're lifting your voice. You're lifting your voice.

Speaker 1:

He, with a loud voice glorified God and fell down on his face at his feet giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Now, you know, the Samaritan is a mixed race, he's Jewish and Gentile mixed, and with that he's not fully vested in a covenant. He really doesn't have a covenant right to healing. But he got healed anyway because he acted on Jesus' word.

Speaker 1:

And so Jesus answered and said were there not 10 cleansed? But where are the nine? Are there not found that return to give glory to God, except this stranger? I mean, jesus was disappointed at their response. He came back and had the cry of gratitude. He had the cry of gratitude and he gave glory to God for his healing. But Jesus had pointed out the fact that the other nine had no gratitude. I mean, they took their healing and went about their way and got all the way to the priest, and who knows whether they ever even sent Jesus an offering. Probably didn't. I mean, they just took what they got and whoop-dee-doo.

Speaker 1:

You know, that's the way a lot of people are they get something from God and then they forget about it. You know, they get a breakthrough, they get a blessing, they have an answered prayer and they might have a little thank you or whatever, but it's not very long-lived. It's surely not a shout, it's certainly not a cry of gratitude. And you know, and Jesus took note of it, he said I thought there were 10 cleansed. How come there's, how come? What happened to the nine? There's only this stranger that came back and verse 19,.

Speaker 1:

And he said to the stranger he said arise, go your way. Your faith hath made you whole. See, the others were cleansed, but if they were missing fingers or toes, or a nose or an ear, you know, leprosy was a horrible disease. It would eat at body parts, it would eat away your skin, it would eat away around your eyes, it would disfigure you, and we don't know how badly this Samaritan was disfigured. But the Bible says your faith has made you whole. He was not only cleansed and healed of leprosy it no longer existed but he was made whole because he had the cry of gratitude, which equals the cry of faith. You know, the cry of faith equals a cry of gratitude. Faith always thanks God before he sees the results. You always thank God before you see any difference. You always have the cry of gratitude.

Speaker 1:

And you know, the more, the closer we get to the end days, the louder. Our cry needs to be of gratitude of this transfer of wealth. It is for the purposes of the end time harvest. God has long patience for the precious fruit of the earth until he received the early and latter rain. There's going to be such a huge crop of people to get saved. It's going to take a lot of money to reap that harvest and the church must receive the recompense. It must receive the restoration of its stolen wages. Come on, lift your hands right now. Glory to God.

Speaker 1:

And I think we ought to just start right now with this election and look and recognize. See, I'm just giving you God's perspective on this election. Yeah, it was great, it was election and there's going to be a lot of good things happen and a lot of laws are going to be passed, a lot of wrongs are going to be righted and so forth, and we've got great positive expectation. But the big thing about this is, I believe we're beginning to see the start of this end-time transfer of wealth, where these evil men and women have held our wealth in their hands and they've controlled it.

Speaker 1:

These globalists, these warmongers, they just want one war after another war after another war. They're real quick to order our kids into war and have them come back. If they come back alive at all, they'll come back in pieces, missing limbs, like we did in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's just horrible. Our young people have suffered so badly at the hands of these globalist people who just make riches out of war. There's no war. The wars don't accomplish anything.

Speaker 1:

Twenty years in Afghanistan and we went off and left it all and the Taliban is in charge. We went there to take them out and they're back in charge, thanks to Biden and Kamala. And so what did we accomplish? Nothing, oh, I tell you, god sees it. God has them in derision. Let's take the cry of gratitude. Let's thank God for this transfer of wealth. Let's thank God that he is making things right, thank God for the judgment that these evildoers are going to be punished and they're going to be punished in this life. We're going to see it. And why do you mean? You want to see them? Yeah, I want to see them punished because you know a righteous indignation at what they've done to our nation and I see us returning to one nation under God.

Speaker 1:

You know, millions of people voted yesterday and the last two weeks that had never voted or they've never voted Republican. They've always voted Democrat. I heard about Starr County in deep South Texas border town. It's never voted Republican, but one time in its history, in 1892, they voted for Grover Cleveland, and the only reason they did is because it's a port of entry and a federal official that was in charge of that port wanted to keep his job and he needed a Republican to win. And he got all his friends to vote Republican and that's the last time they ever voted Republican until yesterday. And Trump carried Starr County, which is 100% Hispanic.

Speaker 1:

This is just historic, and you know it's not just Donald Trump. This is God moving our nation back away from voting for iniquity, voting for communism, voting for all of these thieves and robbers and murderers, and we voted righteousness. And you know we're returning one nation under God. We're returning back to that place and I believe there's a place of blessing for us, and so let's offer God our cries of gratitude. Come on, lift your hands and receive Glory to God. Hallelujah Couldn't resist Hope. Come on, lift your hands and receive Glory to God. Hallelujah Couldn't resist Hope. I didn't break your eardrums. I'll do it later. Praise the Lord, amen. I don't care who hears. Thank you, jesus, the cry of gratitude.
