The Holy Informer
Ever wondered how divine guidance can transform your life in unexpected ways? Our latest episode promises to reveal the profound role of the Holy Spirit as both a guide and an informer, offering insights that go beyond worldly understandings. We'll walk you through Jesus' teachings from the Last Supper and how the Apostle Paul continued to expand on these revelations, helping us see the Holy Spirit as a source of truth and integrity.
Lift up your Bibles. I feel just the Holy Spirit to nudge me, to get into the Word with you, and then we're going to leave space for the Holy Ghost to do whatever else he wants to do. Tonight he always has full reign. Who knows, he might interrupt what I'm saying and do some other things. I'm perfectly fine with that. Let's lift our Bibles up and wave them around. Make Jesus glad and the devil mad. Say this together. Say, heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here tonight with people of like precious faith. Love plus unity equals miracles. I'm in a miracle place tonight. All things are possible to our God and all things are possible to him who believes and I count myself a believer. I believe in this word. I believe this word is coming forth for me tonight to feed my faith, nourish my spirit, and I'll never be the same in Jesus name spirit, and I'll never be the same in Jesus name.
Speaker 1:Well, let's turn to John, chapter 16. And this is the night before Jesus was crucified, the Last Supper, and he began to teach, specifically the twelve, and, and then, during the meal, it became the 11, because Judas left him. Jesus said what you do, do quickly, get on out of here, get busy, get busy betraying me. But he taught them about the Holy Ghost. They knew about the Holy Ghost, but they didn't know very much. And so let's look at John 16, verse 12. Talk to them about chapter 14, chapter 15, now chapter 16, verse 12.
Speaker 1:I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now, because they're spiritually dead men. They're not born again. Jesus hadn't gone to the cross yet. They don't have the capacity to know much more than what he's already showed them. But he's going to show them a little bit more. I have many things. I like one I think it was I forget which Bible scholar said that Paul preached what Jesus left the earth unuttered. I like that. I believe that's true. I believe that Paul, you know, had that revelation. He went to heaven and got the revelation of the word of faith. He got the revelation. He wrote most of the New Testament, the epistles, two-thirds, whatever, three-quarters, two-thirds, whatever the figure is and he taught the church what Jesus would have taught the disciples. But they weren't saved yet. But let's look at it. I have yet many things to say on you, but you cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth has come, and he's come, hasn't he? When he, the spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me.
Speaker 1:Now, this is Jesus talking. He's talking about the Holy Ghost and he said the Holy Ghost, when he comes, is going to glorify me. You won't. The Holy Ghost doesn't talk about himself. He doesn't glorify himself. He's always pointing to Jesus or to the Father. He's gentle like a dove. He's not a dove, but he's like a dove. He's not a dove, but he's like a dove, very, very tender. It's easy to get in a place of where we can grieve him, we can quench him, we can stop him. It's important for us to know him and know how he is. He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine verse 14, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine. Therefore, I said that he shall take of mine and show it unto you.
Speaker 1:Now I want to read to verses 13 and 14 out of the Crickmer translation. Crickmer, and he says in verse 13,. Let's look at it again. He said in verse 13, when he comes, he'll guide you in all truth. He shall not speak of himself, but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak. Crickmer says, and what is coming should have said who is coming. He will be accurately informing you. He will be accurately informing you. Verse 14, from out of my own, shall he be receiving and then accurately informing you, says it again the Kripke translation.
Speaker 1:I got the Kripke translation out of Brother Mark Hankin's big book. It's such a wonderful. I mean I've never heard of the Critmer translation until I got Brother Mark's big book about 15 years ago. I sent off and got it, and so all those years later God hooked us up together and now he brings it in. I recommend, if you don't have that big man, it is really valuable and it's got this Crippler translation of John, chapter 13.
Speaker 1:And so I want to bring you a message tonight about the holy informer. The holy informer, I mean you know much has been written about our intelligence agencies, the letter agencies. We call them the FBI, the DIA, the NSA, the CIA, the NRO, the NGA and 11 other partners that they supply, and I don't know how you feel about it, but I feel that most of them are rotten through and through. They're filled with people that do not have America's best interests at heart. It's been that way for decades. I believe it goes back really right after the war. You know all the spooks. They put the spooks into play in World War II. We call them the spooks. They're spooky, they're crazy. I mean, you got to be kind of crazy to be a spy and that's where it originated. And then they get the idea they know better than everybody else and the next thing you know, they've got an alternative way of acting that's independent of the way the Constitution is written, because civilians are supposed to be in charge of these people and they're not anymore.
Speaker 1:They killed President Kennedy. I know they did. Cia killed him. There's no question about it. Bay of Pigs all of that stuff was separate from the government. They did stuff that was damaging to this nation, have been doing it for ages. We've got moles in there that are leaking and sharing information.
Speaker 1:This whole thing about President Trump, don't tell me that it wasn't an engineered deal. I'm telling you right now. That wasn't some punk kid out there shooting, any more than it was Lee Harvey Oswald by himself, no different. They have a cookbook and they go by this cookbook. I'm getting off my message.
Speaker 1:I want to talk about how bad they are, how good the Holy Ghost is. As long as we've got a holy informer, we don't have to be at the mercy of the CIA, thank God. That's really what I want to say. I don't want to go off and all about the government and the swamp, all about the government and the swamp. But we have a great place of prayer where we can pray that God will expose, you know, he can expose all of these spooks and these traitors and uncover them. I'm just kind of I'm sorry, I'm trying not to laugh, but I mean I look at Tiny Tim and Crazy Kamala and I just have to laugh. I mean I've never seen two crazier nut job weirdo people in my life that God is just uncovering and they can't help themselves. They just can't help themselves but just go and then all of their boosters are going. Oh, that was so powerful.
Speaker 1:Jennifer garner, she's the actress. I used to kind of think that she was in that show about a miracle. You know, a few years ago I kind of thought she was a christian till, just. You know, I don't know much about her, but but anyway, I thought she had a brain, but I was proven wrong. She's over in Amish country trying to sell them on. Kamala, are you nuts? Yeah, she's nuts. Just as nuts as all the rest of these crazy George what's his face? Julia Roberts and all the rest of these nut jobs.
Speaker 1:Anyway, thank God, we have the greatest informer, the greatest intelligent agent, the greatest revealer of secrets ever known, the Holy Ghost. He's all about the truth and that's why the church has got to stick with the truth. We've got to keep preaching the truth, the word of truth, and not get caught up in the wokeism and all of the things that these other folks want to do to rob us of our rights. Let's hold your place there, john, and whip back to 2 Kings, 2 Kings 6., talking about the holy and former Verse 8,.
Speaker 1:Then the king of Syria warred against Israel and took counsel with his servants, saying in such and such a place shall be my camp, and the man of God sent unto the king of Israel. Now, who is that? Well, that's Elisha the prophet. Elisha the prophet sent to the king of Israel saying Beware that thou pass not such a place, for thither the Syrians are come down, you know. The king of Syria said it to his staff, and the prophet knew it and gave intelligence to the king of Israel Don't go there, because he's there. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore, the heart of the king of Syria was sore, troubled at this thing, and he called his servants and said unto them Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel? In other words, we've got a spy in the camp. And one of his servants said None, my lord O king, but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedchamber Come on, lift your hand right now.
Speaker 1:Glory to God. Well, that's the same Holy Ghost we got living on the inside of us. I know we're not prophets, but Jesus wasn't talking to prophets, he's talking to the church. We have the same spirit of truth in us to inform us of what Things to come, things that we didn't know about, secrets. Glory to God, I'll tell you what if you stay close to the Holy Ghost, your kids can never get away with anything. You, mamas, y'all just stay full of the Holy Ghost. Don't pay any attention to all this mess. The Holy Ghost will tell you what you need to know. Mama, how did you know that? You know how? I knew that. You do that a couple of times and they'll realize what you have is real. You let them roll their eyes. They'll quit rolling their eyes one of these days.
Speaker 1:He's constantly receiving actionable intelligence and accurately informing you. Everybody say actionable intelligence. See, it's one thing to know something, but it's another thing to do something about what you know. See, there's something that you've got to do. Just knowing about something is not enough. You've got to have a plan of attack. Thank God, elisha told the king and the king saved himself from being ambushed. Amen, we're not groping in the dark when we follow the holy informer. I mean, he's there to shed light. So what are some examples of actionable intelligence? I'll just talk about that part.
Speaker 1:In verse 15, jesus said about the holy informer. He said all things that the father hath are mine. Think about that. All things. That covers a lot of territory, doesn't it? You know the Bible says in the book of Psalms the earth is the Lord's and the fullness of thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. So everything belongs to God, the father. And guess what? He gave it all to Jesus. And guess what the Bible says in Romans 8, we're joint heirs with Christ, Equal heirs. Everything that Jesus has belongs to us Doesn't belong to these billionaires. It doesn't belong to these multinational corporations Used to be American corporations, and they're no longer American corporations anymore. We've let them go and we've let them be global in scope, and they've come back and rewarded the country that made them what they are the way that they treat us. They get politically involved with things that are not American. All they care about is the bottom line and all the CEOs care about is the golden parachute, and the workers get stepped on and I'm telling you, god's not happy. I said God's not happy, so that's why they hate Trump. Trump keeps talking about this whole thing and he sees what's going on here. But more than that, god sees what's going on.
Speaker 1:So the holy informer number one will take of jesus inheritance and show it to you, or inform you about your inheritance. He'll inform you of what the word says you have. That's number one. The word says you've got healing. The word says you have protection. The word says you have a supply. But then there are things that you come across that are not written in the word. And guess what? The holy informer will inform you what belongs to you that's not written. You're going to, sooner or later you live long enough You're going to need something that you can't really find written in the Bible. Man, I've got a lot of those instances in my life. He said all the father has is mine. Therefore, I'll show it to you. He'll show it to you. If it's the Father's, it belongs to Jesus. If it belongs to Jesus, it belongs to us. Now I'll just use this example. You know, whatever, but I'm a car guy, I love cars.
Speaker 1:2005, I was driving. What was I driving? Acura, black Acura, 2002, acura, but 2005,. It was about time to get rid of that car because the transmission went out. Now the factory had 870, 80,000 miles on it and the factory replaced it. I mean, I didn't have a gripe. I mean Acura replaced the transmission in that car. You know, pretty amazing. But I was, you know, I didn't want to keep it. I don't want to stand in line for the next problem that comes. So I was looking for a car.
Speaker 1:In 2005, the Corvette came out with a C-Series, the sixth-generation Corvette and it looked like the third-generation Corvette. It looked like the 1962 through 67 Corvette, the Corvette Stingray. That was the 2005 model and, oh, I fell in love with the Corvette. Well, you know, corvette, we had just moved into this building and it was an expensive car. I just couldn't. You know, I bought Corvette magazines, I went online and I built the Corvette. You know, I just desired it. I didn't pray, I didn't ask God if I could have it, I just looked at it. In the meantime I needed a car. So I bought a Mustang that came out in 05 with a new Mustang. For the first time in a while they redid the Mustang and made it retro, made it look like an older Mustang, and so I bought a Mustang convertible, more in my price range, and I liked the car, you know. But I wasn't dissatisfied with it. But it wasn't a Corvette.
Speaker 1:I've always wanted a Corvette since I was 13. My dad had me working in the oil patch when I between my freshman and sophomore year, when I, between my freshman and sophomore year, and a young man was working out there with me and he would come by and pick me up and we worked together out there, you know, painting all storage, batteries and Christmas trees. You know what a Christmas tree is? An oil. Well, it's all rusted up out in the hot sun and I worked out there all summer. But he came by and picked me up in his 56 Corvette. He had a red 56 Corvette with white coves, had a three-speed on the floor. They didn't make a four-speed in 56, not until 57 did they have the four-speed. But 1956 with a three-speed, with a 265 V8. Oh, I loved that car. Of course I never got to drive it. I'm 13, but I got to ride in it all summer and from then on I always wanted a Corvette.
Speaker 1:I always wanted a Corvette. Here I am an adult Never had one, never had anything close to it. And so now 055 and then 06. And you know, in 06 they came up with a a different model of that corvette. It's called a z06 and it had a 515, 505 horsepower engine in it. So that's the one I really zeroed in on. That's the hot. If I'm gonna get one, I want the one that's the most powerful, six speed. I mean, I want that one, I want it loaded. I want every option, every one of them. But I still didn't pray, didn't pray. I didn't ask the Lord for it, I just kept looking at them. I kept going online and building them, getting the price. The price kept going up and up and up. By this time it's 2007. I've been driving this little, you know, mustang for a year and a half or so.
Speaker 1:Gladys and I were on the only vacation we had had. Probably I don't remember ever having a vacation that long. We were gone nine days from the church. I don't know, did y'all preach every Sunday? What did y'all do? What did we do? But we were gone. We went to Hawaii and I mean, you know, I mean I'm not apologetic I mean we worked so hard, you know, all these 30 years. We were here all the time, but we got a chance to leave and we went to Hawaii and we just relaxed. It was just wonderful. I think it was like January of 07.
Speaker 1:And I'm sitting out on the balcony, you know, looking out at the Pacific. Waikiki Beach is down below, you know, and beautiful blue water. I'm reading my Bible and worshiping the Lord, praising God one morning, drinking my Hawaiian coffee. You know from the beans that they grow around the other side of the island of Oahu. And the Holy Ghost, the Holy Informer said you can have that. Now you can have that Corvette. And I mean I just burst out weeping. I mean I didn't even ask him, I hadn't even prayed, I hadn't said, lord, I'd sure would. He just knew I wanted it, he knew I'd like to have it, but I hadn't asked him for it. And that morning he just chose. That morning, while we're on vacation, you know, living the high life up on the 16th floor above Waikiki beach, you can. Now. He said, now you can have that Corvette. I said, wow, I didn't pray about. I mean, I said thank you, lord.
Speaker 1:So I started getting in gear, see, and so I came back to town, started looking for them. Well, all the ones that would come to town, there are very few that came to town, and every one of them that came to town was black with a black interior. Well, I didn't want that. How boring, black with a black interior. I mean, good Lord, it's a Corvette. You can't even see the thing. It just disappears at night, you know, and in the daytime the black doesn't give the lines of the car as beautiful, has the most beautiful lines on it, the curves and all that.
Speaker 1:So, anyway, I figured out I had to order it and I found a place. And this is a long story, I know, but it's worth it at the end Because the holy informer gave it to me. Are you with me now? I mean, oh, but, pastor, I'm never going to Well, plug in what I'm talking about to fit your life.
Speaker 1:Okay, you might not be a car guy, you may not relate to cars, I don't know. I just know he gave me something I didn't ask for. He just knew I wanted it. Do you want anything? It's something that you desire. Chances are, if you want it and you delight in him on a regular basis, he's probably the one that put the desire in your heart to begin with. Delight yourself in the Lord and the Lord will give you the desires of your heart. I like to quote that scripture. The Lord will place within you the desires that he has for you, and we've been raised so religiously and so strictly and we think God's going to go bankrupt just because we have something nice.
Speaker 1:So, anyway, I found a place McMulkin Chevrolet in New Hampshire online and they were at that time and I think they still are one of the biggest Corvette dealers in the country. They have more Corvettes all the time coming in and I called them and they said yeah, we'll give you $1,000 off of the list here in town. They wanted $10,000 plus of the list here in town. They wanted 10,000 plus. They wanted list plus 10 because this is a rare car. The cheapest I could find it anywhere in other place was list plus five and they said we'll give you a thousand off if you order it through us. I said done, send me the paperwork, man.
Speaker 1:I went down the order list and I clicked off every option Jet stream, blue exterior, two-tone interior, you know, black with burnt orange insets with orange stitching. I know I'm an Aggie, but the burnt orange they didn't have maroons, they had burnt orange. Called it Sienna, I checked that on and I checked off every option. I checked off museum delivery. What is that? Well, when Corvette makes the Corvette, they send it across the road to the Corvette museum where it's made ready and you go pick it up. You don't pick it up at the dealer over here. Say I'm going to have to have it shipped to Houston and pick it up at some scumbag dealer that wanted to charge me 10,000 plus. They're probably going to run down it with a key and scratch the paint for me. No, I'm going to have it made ready at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, kentucky. Check that $400.
Speaker 1:All the way down, every option, I went to the got it, got it, got it all done, ordered it, and I waited six months. Finally I got a call and it's ready. And so I spread the news around. Some of the people that were Larry Orr was interested in my purchase and Larry found it online. He said, pastor, I see your car, it's behind gold ropes. It's online right now. And he sure enough it was. You could. Just back then you didn't have a very good picture online, it was kind of blurry. But my blue Corvette was sitting behind gold ropes.
Speaker 1:It was the first one they ever made with that equipment and that color and that interior. I mean they wouldn't have ever ordered anything with all those colors in Houston. They had black with a black interior. I had the only Jetstream blue Corvette. That's a real bright blue, metallic pearl that looks purple and green all at the same time at different lights. I mean it's gorgeous paint and they only built it two years.
Speaker 1:So I asked John Dyer. I said, jd, can you fly me to Bowling Green? So JD flew, jay and James and I and JD, we flew to Bowling Green, kentucky, in his plane and we went for a full factory tour. That was included in the museum delivery was a tour of the Corvette factory. I drove one, a Z06, off of the assembly line to the white glove treatment, where they went down and they went with white gloves all over the car to check the paint, make sure it was perfect. I mean, I really, really was impressed with the Corvette and that's America. I mean, that's the true America that's under attack. Those people in that plant, they took pride in what they were doing. It was an amazing experience.
Speaker 1:Then we drove across the road and there is the Corvette Museum. They've got all these old Corvettes, they've got historic Corvettes. A few years later, the whole place fell apart. The floor fell out and a bunch of Corvettes fell into a cavern underneath this thing. I'm so glad that I got my Corvette out of there before it fell into hell. I mean it's crazy, but anyway.
Speaker 1:And so Jay and I drove my Corvette home from Bowling Green, kentucky, and so by the time we got it back, it was broken. So what is this long story? I'm just telling you that the holy informer told me what belonged to me, and then they delivered on it and I drove that thing for five or six years. I just enjoyed having it. I finally sold it and they said, yeah, I think it had 22,000 miles on it when I sold it in 2014, six years old. And when I went to take it, he said well, it's high mileage, but we can give you X amount of money. High mileage what are you talking about? Well, for a Corvette, it's high miles. The people that buy these, they don't drive them. They have 5,000, 6,000 miles max. If you've got 20,000 miles on your Corvette, that's high miles. I said well, I wish somebody had told me I'd have quit driving it.
Speaker 1:Gladys hated it. Every time we drive, every time we drive to church, she said I just hate this car. It just beats rough riding. It's a race car. I mean, what can I say? Tires this wide. I can see I'm really getting y'all excited.
Speaker 1:Well, plug in what you want. What do you want? You want something from the Lord. You know he'll inform you. Sometimes all we have, we don't even have to pray. Sometimes all we just have to do is worship him and love him and put him first all the time and make sure that our heart is right and humble ourselves under his mighty hand. And you know, at some point in time you know what he's going to do he's going to say now you can have it. When he said that now you can have it, I knew I wasn't qualified. Until a certain time I wasn't qualified to have it and so for the longest time I had a, you know, a Mustang convertible and a Corvette. I didn't get rid of the convertible, I drove it most of the time and I left the Corvette in the garage, but at some point I started driving it All right. So the holy informer will take of Jesus inheritance and show it or inform you of it.
Speaker 1:And uh, you know I don't go to the doctor to be informed about my health. I inform my health what the Bible says about it. I tell my body how to feel. I speak to my body every day. I speak to any symptoms that come up and rebuke them. I don't allow symptoms. In the past I've allowed symptoms to go unchecked and, yeah, I just kept on talking to them but they didn't move. And so that's the time if you've spoken to your symptoms and they haven't done anything, you might want to go to the doctor and find out what it is that you're looking at.
Speaker 1:I tell this by sad experience. I mean, I just let my heart get out of whack. It was giving me symptoms and I just kept speaking to it and speaking to it. Nothing changed, and I almost waited too long to it and speaking to it and nothing changed. And I almost waited too long. I waited so long that I wound up during Ike, during the hurricane Ike in 2008,. I actually had a heart attack and thank God it didn't damage my heart. Thank God I was able to get to the doctor and get that taken care of and put a stent in and all of that kind of thing. But it had to do with me ignoring something in my body that needed to be addressed. I mean, you know, yes, speak to it, yes, believe God, but then if it doesn't move, it doesn't change, and you know something keeps going on. You might want to go to the doctor and find out what the doctor has to say about it. You're not trusting the doctor to heal you. He's the healer, amen. So I go to the doctor.
Speaker 1:In case I've missed something, in case I've missed the holy informer's information, you know, the holy informer can tell you and he will tell you. But sometimes we get so busy, you know, we get so multitasking, everything in the world, all this stuff going on in our lives, it's easy to miss something that he's got actionable intelligence. That's my point about this message, about the holy informer. He will give you actionable intelligence that will help you if you'll listen and do something. If you don't do anything. If I were you at a certain age, I would find out what all the symptoms are of a stroke. The symptoms are of a heart attack, the symptoms of organ failure. I would find out what those symptoms are and make sure that if I'm suffering some kind of symptom like that, that I go check it out. You're going to wait for the holy informer to tell you you're having a heart attack. You might've waited too long. Are y'all with me now? All right? So, uh, verse 13,. It says and he will show you things to come. The Weymouth translation the holy informer will make known the future unto you. Now I know we should walk by faith and not by sight, but at the same time it comes with a package.
Speaker 1:I mean, you know, I checked every option on that Corvette, every single. Did I need every single option? No, but I wanted every single option. I waited all my life to buy one. I wanted every. I wanted the biggest, most powerful engine. Could I use it? Well, not really, not around here. You need a racetrack. I mean the thing had a magnesium front end that held the engine. The engine was solid aluminum. I mean it's light. The whole car weighed 3,100 pounds.
Speaker 1:When you pressed on the gas in sixth gear, it pressed you into the seat. I mean I didn't even need the gears, I could start off in sixth gear. It pressed you into the seat. I mean I didn't even need the gears, I could start off in sixth gear. I did it one day. I just feathered the clutch and started off in sixth gear. I didn't need first, second, third, fourth and fifth. That's how much torque it had. It would listen, you step on the gas in any gear besides sixth gear and you might lose control. I mean those big old back tires. They'd start spinning, they'd turn in, they would turn black strips down the road. I mean you know you better get ready. It's going to, it's going to jump out from under you.
Speaker 1:I wanted everything on it. Are you with me now? So there are things in the future that you need to know about, or he wouldn't have given you this gift. The Corvette came with everything. Why would you leave something? Oh, father, I don't need the future, I'm just fine, just give me the bare. No, you don't need to have the bare bones.
Speaker 1:Holy informer, go ahead and check every box. Go ahead and get every option. Really, it's not an option. It comes with the. It comes with it. It comes with it. He will show you things to come. He will show the future. So let's confess out of our mouth that, whatever in the future that is critical for us to know that the holy informer will let us know. I mean, it'd be a good thing to be saying to yourself every day, we think about futuristic things and we think, well, that's witchcraft. Well, no, it's not witchcraft.
Speaker 1:Jesus said that the holy informer would show you things in the future. If he's going to show it to you, then he wants you to what Act on it? I think about this church. We would never even be here if God hadn't shown me things in the future. Over and over again, he's shown me things in the future. Because? Why? Because I've said, lord, I need you to show me everything that's necessary for this church and things that I don't know about. I need to know about Sometimes. I don't know exactly what it is, I don't even have the you know like the tsunami dream. He showed me the tsunami dream in June of 2001, the summer, and three months later we had the Twin Towers fall in New York. Well, that was the tsunami dream. That was a tsunami of judgment. And guess what? It was judgment for the world, but for this church.
Speaker 1:During that time, a businessman got so rich shorting the stock market. He turned around and he had a tax problem and he gifted us this property as a tax write-off. He called me on the phone, john, I got a tax problem. I need, I need, I've got a proposal, and that proposal was kind of complicated, but you know what we wound up with. You know 85 acres gifted to the church. Come on, lift your hands. You're sitting in a miracle of provision. That God. Basically, I didn't understand the tsunami.
Speaker 1:It was later that I realized, and so you know, now, when God gives me these dreams and gives me these visions, I start praying for the interpretation, because I know some of it. Some of it is information I need to act on actionable Everybody say actionable intelligence. I know we walk by faith, not by sight, but we don't have to walk around in darkness groping, wondering, wandering, you getting anything out of this? Tonight I knew a person praying about surgery. I went to the doctor and the doctor said yeah, you're going to need surgery now. It's going to be a long, difficult surgery and we're going to have three surgeons in there to do this deal. I mean I can't do what I've got. This procedure. It was complicated. It's going to have three surgeons in there to do this deal. I mean I can't do what I've got. This procedure was complicated, it's going to take about 10 hours.
Speaker 1:And you know, he said what do you think? I said, well, you ought to pray about that surgery. You ought to pray about whether you ought to even have it Just because the doctor tells you that you need it. I mean, if he's going to describe a surgery that complicated, first of all, you've got one anesthesiologist that can foul up 10 hours. He's got to keep you under without killing you and it's not very easy. Number two, you've got three surgeons to think about, any which, any which, any one of which can mess up. And then you've got all the nurses around there that can mess up and you've got 10 hours of surgery and then you've got a month in the hospital where you can get all kinds of infections and all kinds of complications. You know, yes, I would definitely not have the surgery unless I had a release by the holy informer. He knows better than anybody what you should do.
Speaker 1:I don't know who this is for, but you know, in our society we just we go to the doctor. The doctor says this and yeah, we're on board where. You know what I've seen. But people go to heaven. Because I found out that surgeons are trained to cut and they want to cut you open. That's what they're trained to do. They're not trained for the whole big picture. They're looking at one little narrow slice of your health and they ignore all of the other complications. Especially now since COVID, since they can get by with it.
Speaker 1:Now We've got a really low level of care anymore in the medical profession, I'm sorry to say. I mean Gladys goes and breaks her pelvis and I take her. I mean I didn't know what was broke, but they said she's broken something. She can't move her leg and we got to get her to the emergency room. Okay, go to the emergency room. They do all the tests. Yeah, she's broken her pelvic ring in two places, but they're not, it's not displaced. Well, that's what they said. It wasn't displaced. But the CT scan said it was displaced. So they lied about that, wondered why there was such pain every time she moved an inch. But they missed the fact that she had broken her hip socket. They didn't see that. How do you not see that Two weeks later we find out after she's gone through this rigorous bunch of physical therapy?
Speaker 1:That was a waste of time. She should never have been dismissed to physical therapy. She should have been going to a place like she's at now. That would keep her off of her feet for her bones to heal. And then you have physical therapy on your weight bearing. You have weight bearing.
Speaker 1:We're expecting that she'll have 50% weight bearing this week. We're expecting that because she's doing so much better and those bones are healing and we're going to verify that at the doctor and that's fine. And if he releases her to have, you know, 50% weight bearing, then she'll be up on a walker and they'll be able to take. You know, they have ways of therapy where they won't let her put all of her weight on one side. You know, as long as you have weight distributed on both sides and that satisfies a 50% weight distributed on both sides and that satisfies a 50%. But my point is that you can't trust the doctor to tell you just everything. You've got a holy, the Holy Ghost is on the inside of you to inform you. Well, pastor, I don't understand you. And then the doctor, well, you know. In other words, in the example I said, you've got one anesthesiologist, three surgeons, 10 hours of surgery, 30 days of hospitalization. It's risky. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I'm saying you should pray and make sure that's the way of escape. Way of escape.
Speaker 1:So years ago my brother had a heart attack. He needed quadruple bypass surgery and he was living in the hill country at the time where he was far from any suitable hospital. He was going to Uvalde. I call it Uvalde, everybody's been calling it Uvalde. I've never heard it called Uvalde. It's not Uvalde, okay, it's Uvalde. But whatever. I've grown up in South Texas, I think I know what it's not Tivoli, it's Tivola, okay, so it's Refurio. It's not Refurio. It really is Refurio. That's really what it is. But nobody calls it Refurio. Okay, I'm off my high horse now. But there was. You know, I would not suggest going to Uvalde for open heart surgery.
Speaker 1:Okay, and so the doctor Batar that was his doctor. He said I'll get you at University of Texas Health Science Center. We do that all the time. He did a little fancy paperwork and next thing you know, my brother's in an ambulance going to San Antonio and they did University of Texas Health Science Center and he had the best surgeons do his work. And this had been years ago, many years ago. We hadn't even started the church when he had that. Well, I know when was the surgery? Well, it was, we had the church by then.
Speaker 1:And when they got in there they found that he had a heart valve, that was, he had a birth defect. It was not normal that he was born with it. He never knew it until all this trouble with his heart. And they got in there and then this valve starts leaking and they said Mr Griner, we've got to replace it. We can replace it with a pig valve which is bioidentical to your body, but it won't last but 10 years and we'll have to come back and do it again. It's open heart surgery. Or we can put a titanium valve in there. The titanium is more reliable but you have to take blood thinner because once you put the titanium valve in there, your blood that's going through this aortic valve, the blood going through there, will clot against it and you can have a stroke. So you need blood thinner from now on. So he elected to go with the titanium valve, which, you know, at night he said you know I go to sleep at night but I could hear that thing clack, clack, clack every time my heart beats, that metallic sound inside of his chest. It's amazing what they can do. But he had the best of care and you know, back then 25 years ago, that surgery was $180,000, $200,000. Back then 25 years ago, that surgery was $180,000, $200,000. They put them on payments. They paid like $100 a month for a couple of years and then they said oh, that's enough, mr Griner, you paid enough. They're faithful missionaries to Mexico. I mean, you know they had come out of Mexico rich. You know they retired.
Speaker 1:My brother was with a special guy, my best friend. So you know, with that blood thinner it meant that he had a lot of complications with any kind of procedure, you know, and he would go back for checkups and this doctor would want to do this and this doctor would want to do that. One doctor one time said oh, mr Griner, you've got to have a colonoscopy. You've never had a colonoscopy. No, you've got to have one. No, I don't think so. He said you don't understand, I'm on blood thinner. Well, it's all right. No big deal about blood thinner, that's no problem.
Speaker 1:Well, you know, dr Feldman was his doctor, jewish doctor. He was the head of a bunch of stuff in that hospital. He was a teaching surgeon. He didn't have but a handful of patients and my brother was one of them and it got across to his desk that he was scheduled for colonoscopy. He called my brother on the phone. He said Mr Griner, how is it that you've got a colonoscopy scheduled? You can't have that. That's ridiculous. Do you know the risk factor? For you to have a colonoscopy? We've got to get your blood thickened. It takes three or four days in the hospital to thicken your blood, at which time you could have a stroke, and then just for a colonoscopy. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Who ordered that? Well, doctor, so-and-so, don't worry about that, you're not going to have it. I'm fixing to call him. See, you can't listen to doctors. You better know what you're doing. You better know. You better have somebody to tell you. And thank God for the holy informer. It protected him from just doing whatever. Some goofball trainee that's what you got in that hospital. You got a bunch of trainees, except for Dr Feldman who's a professor, all right.
Speaker 1:So years later they had to put in a pacemaker. A pacemaker fits right here in your collarbone. They have to cut a little spot out of there, create a little cup for it to fit into. It's a piece of you know, it's an electronic thing. And he did need that because his heart was going, wasn't beating fast enough. He said Mr Griner, we've monitored your heart and you get down to 25 beats a minute when you're in your sleep and you could go to heaven in your sleep. I mean you get down to 25 beats a minute when you're in your sleep and you could go. You could go to heaven in your sleep. I mean you're, you're, you get down to 25 beats a minute. Your heart will forget to beat the next time and you just go to heaven.
Speaker 1:So we got to get that thing sped up, but it's going to be tough because we got to put you in the hospital and you've got to thicken your blood. It takes three or four days. It's risky, but it's more risky not to do it. See, he got the risk. Are you talking about the risk factor? Now You've got a doctor that knows his risk factor for stroke, but yet he's going to die without this pacemaker. So it's worth the risk. Are y'all with me now? That's the natural. But you've got the Holy Ghost. So once the Holy Ghost knows, now you can use your faith to take your authority over your body and tell your body no, you're not going to have a stroke, you're not going to have a plot against this thing while they're putting this pacemaker in.
Speaker 1:But it was so brutal I mean, the poor guy they got him in there and they cut him open and they put that thing in there. But then now he's bleeding like a stuck hog. They had to put him back on the thinner. He'd been off the thinner now and before he could be healed of this little minor surgery. It's just minor surgery. Now he's bleeding, bleeding, why See? So the only way they can stop the bleeding is ice and they had to pack it in ice. On for 30 minutes, off for 30 minutes, on for 30 minutes and for a week and a half he was like that. He couldn't sleep. I mean, it was torture, horrible. And so, you know, I had to stand with my brother through all of that. So now, years later, it's been about.
Speaker 1:I had my Corvette. He called me. He said you know, john, I'm in the hospital, I've got diverticulitis and they want to take six inches of my colon out. They want to operate and take six inches of my colon out. And I said, when are they going to do that? I had an immediate alarm. You know, he and I were close I mean, we're more like twins than brothers. I mean, it's just, you know he's got something and I'm agreeing with him. And I had an alarm came all over me when they said that. I said, well, I know what you're going to go through to get that done. That doesn't sound like a very good deal. When are they going to do that? I don't know. I said, well, don't let them do anything, I'm coming, I'll be there in a few hours. I climbed in my vet and I drove to San Antonio and I didn't drive the speed limit and I knew by the holy informer that my brother was going to go to heaven if he had that surgery. I knew it. I knew it as well as I knew my name and there was no way I was going to let that happen.
Speaker 1:Now he's the patient. He's in there and he's in trouble and he's got all kind of difficulty. Diverticulitis is these pockets form in your bowel and your colon and they get infected. My parents had that, my dad had that, my mother had that. I mean, I'm familiar with it. Some of you, I've stood with you about it. It's kind of a tough deal. But in him situation they're fixing to cut this six inches out of there. That wouldn't be a terrible thing. You could get over that. But he bleeds. What are they going to do about stopping the bleeding in his colon? I knew he's going to bleed to death. I knew he's going to bleed to death. I knew it. So some doofus that has got his mind just on this problem has ignored the risk factor of the whole body right there.
Speaker 1:So I went in there with my Bible. I got up there and I sat on the edge of his bed. Sylvia and he were in front of me and I preached to him for an hour. I just preached the word of God to him, building his faith up. I said, brother, I said we got to build you up.
Speaker 1:I said you know you, uh, I don't know how to put this but I said you can't have that surgery. Let's just believe God. You can't have that surgery. They're going to kill you with that surgery. I know that. I don't want you to go to heaven. You're too young to go to heaven. I need you here. Sylvia needs you here. Your family needs you here. You don't need to be going to heaven over this silly surgery. They're getting the cart before the horse. They need to slow this thing down. They need to slow down and look at the whole picture. They've got tunnel vision. You've got a surgeon that loves to cut people open and do this fancy surgery so he can do his stitches and he can show off his stitches down in the colon and stitches on your belly and everything else. And he, he wants to. You know he wants to show off in this teaching hospital and and get his chops and get a promotion. I said they're going to put you in heaven. I said we got to slow this thing down. Brother, you listen.
Speaker 1:Jesus took this infirmity and so I just laid out, anointed him with oil, laid hands on him, you know, and everything. Of course he's not a novice. I mean he's a word of faith. I mean he's you know, he knows what I know. He's traveled with me all over the world, gone to Philippines, gone, you know, spent eight years in Mexico.
Speaker 1:So I finished up. I said, okay, well, I'll let you go. I said, you know, but we're slowing this thing down in Jesus' name. So I got in my car and went back home and I'm down the road and he calls me. He said, john, you'll never believe what happened. He said that surgeon came in the room. You hadn't been gone 30 minutes. He said, mr Griner, we've got to slow this thing down. We're just in too big a hurry. We're going to treat this diverticulitis with medication. I've been insulting with people here in the hospital. I think we better wait on that surgery. He had the identical word to what I had just said 30 minutes before. Oh, come on, lift your hand right now. Thank God for the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will save your life. Glory to God. Thank God, we have actionable intelligence from the holy informer. Did you get anything out of this tonight? Come on, let's just lift our hands. Thank you Lord, thank you for the Holy Ghost, thank you Jesus.
