God Doesn't Call You By Your Shame, But He Calls By Your Name

Speaker 1:

Tonight I want to share on. God doesn't call you by your shame, but he calls you by your name. God doesn't call you by your shame, but he calls you by your name. And I want to share about a little boy that was born in a royal family. You know, I'm from Belgium originally. I moved here because I got married to my husband and in Belgium, in most European countries, we have a royal family and the royal family is like the wow of every country. You know the statesmen. You know I have a little girl. She's five and if you talk to her, her world is like I'm the princess and mom, you're the queen, and daddy is the king and we are the royal family. You know every little girl. If you talk to them, their dream is to be a princess one day, or they believe they're a princess.

Speaker 1:

But this boy, his name was Mephibosheth and he was born in the royal family. Can you imagine being born in the royal family? Can you imagine being born in the royal family? You got it all together. You got servants, everything is gold, everything is nice, everything is super, everything is the best of the best. Imagine. And then his grandfather was King Saul. He was huge in stature. You saw my husband, six foot seven. He's a gentle giant. But his grandfather, king Saul, was a giant. He was big in stature but when he was five years old, something happened in the kingdom and there were troubles and there were difficulties and his babysitter picked him up and when she was trying to run away she accidentally dropped him. She accidentally dropped him and the little boy that was five years old became paralyzed. Old became paralyzed.

Speaker 1:

And there are many people today in this world maybe people here they're just like Mephibosheth. Mephibosheth did not do anything wrong, but the person that was supposed to take care of him accidentally dropped him and he became paralyzed. And maybe you were here and someone accidentally dropped you, or maybe someone purposefully dropped you. Maybe you were abandoned. Maybe you were abandoned. Maybe you were mentally abused, maybe you were physically abused, maybe you were sexually abused. Maybe your parents left you, maybe the one that was to take care of you didn't take care of you, maybe there was a hole in the safety net in your family and you fell through, or something happened and you were dropped, even though you didn't do anything wrong, and a little boy me fib or shit became paralyzed on the outside. But most people today, when they have been dropped, something does not become paralyzed on the outside, but something becomes paralyzed on the inside.

Speaker 1:

And Mephibosheth imagine born in the royal family, his father, grandfather, lost his throne and Mephibosheth moves from the palace to a place called Lodivar, and Lodivar was located in the wilderness. He came from the top and now he fell to the bottom, the bottom, lo-divar, the name of the city. In Hebrew, lo means no, divar means words. He lived in a city called no words. And many people that have been dropped. What happens to them? They retrieve, they go back, they back up, they back up, they back up and they go play, live in a place where it's wilderness. And what happens to them? The devil tells you don't tell nobody, no words, you shut up, you be quiet. And that's what there are many men today. They're all cool, all happy, but suddenly something triggers them and they're full of anger, rage, and you're like, oh my God, what happened to you? Dropped? Or some ladies. You know the Bible says that Nephibosheth lineage of the royal family. He called himself a dead dog.

Speaker 2:

He was from the royal lineage and he called himself a dead dog. He must have been in such a bad, terrible situation.

Speaker 1:

He must have felt so bad that he doesn't just call himself a dog, but he calls himself a dead dog. That meant that all life, every purpose, was sucked out of him because one person had to dropped. And some women that have been dropped. All they do is I'm nothing, I'm ugly, I'm fat, I got all those pimples, I have this, I have that. Look at me, I'm nothing. Oh me myself. I call this wilderness talk. Wilderness talk.

Speaker 1:

Anger that comes from frustration comes from Anger that comes from frustration comes from wilderness talk. Complaining, nagging, all that comes with that whole family. Wilderness talk. Lord, the devil wants you to tell it to nobody, to be quiet, to shut up, to say nobody, to suffer on the inside. The devil wants you to be a silent sufferer.

Speaker 1:

Now there came a new king in Israel, and listen to what he says in 2 Samuel 9, verse 1. There was a new king and his name was David. And David said Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake? And there were of the house of Saul, a servant whose name was Ziba, and when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him Are thou Ziba? And he said Thy servant, is he. Now there is a new king, champ come. Yes, you come. Can you help me? Yes, his grandma told me. He king came in Israel and King David said is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake? Jonathan was the father of Mephibosheth, and Jonathan and King David can you give me like a high five? Jonathan and King David, they had a covenant. What did that mean? I have your back. Do you have my back?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You got me covered.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

If I'm in trouble, are you going to help me out?

Speaker 1:

Yes ma'am, that was the power of a covenant. They exchanged strength to cover weakness. Now King David asked is there still anybody alive of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness? And the word kindness here is covenant love. And they said oh yes, there's still somebody out there. He had a covenant. But do you know stay here that Mephibosheth lived in the wilderness not knowing that his father had a covenant man. He didn't know it and that's why he's suffering.

Speaker 1:

And in the Old Testament, a farmer and a soldier entered into covenant. Farmer, soldier. It was not a farmer and a farmer, it was not a soldier and a soldier. Because if a soldier entered into covenant with the soldier, they had the same strength and they had the same weakness. If a farmer entered into covenant with the farmer, they had the same strength and they had the same weakness. If the farmer entered into covenant with the farmer, they had the same strength and the same weakness. So a soldier entered into covenant with the farmer in time of war. Are you going to cover me? Yeah, are you going to fight for me? Yes, ma'am, are you going?

Speaker 2:

to bring your army. Yeah, are you going to kill them? Yeah, yeah, are you going to bring your army.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Are you going to kill them? Yeah, In time of famine, me the farmer. I got you covered. I'm going to give you food, I'm going to give your family food, I'm going to provide everything you need. And in the Old Testament, that's how people entered into covenant. It was an exchange. Now I want to tell you something. Thank you the day that you said yes to Jesus the king.

Speaker 2:

But that was a covenant with the king of kings and his name is jesus. His name is jesus and I'm telling that covenant was not to exchange strength to cover weakness. That covenant was he did everything for you. He took all your sin, all your sickness, all your problems all your pain.

Speaker 1:

The only thing that we have to do is we have to say yes, I want to enter into that covenant Because he paid for it all and we have traveled to more than 100 countries, my husband and I. Many Christians, well-meaning Christians. They do not really know the power, the immensity, everything that is in that covenant and what happens to them.

Speaker 2:

They continue to live in Lodivar, just like Mephibosheth. They are complaining, they are nagging, they live in the wilderness, they have self-pity and they do not really know the. They live in the wilderness, they have self-pity and they do not really know the power that is in the covenant that they made with Jesus when they say yes to him.

Speaker 1:

I am telling you, you did not just enter into a covenant with the king, but you entered into covenant with the king of kings and if we really know the power of that covenant, none of us Christians will still live there, some of you. It's time to get up on your feet. It's time to get up and come out of that situation. Come out of Lord of all, move out, move out. But you know that Mephibosheth, he was paralyzed.

Speaker 1:

So King David said, and there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called unto him and to David, the king said unto him. And he said the king said unto him Are thou Ziba? And he said Thy servant, is he? And the king said Is there not yet any of the house of Saul that I may show him, the kindness of God? And Ziba said unto the king, jonathan had yet a son which is lame on his feet, and the king said unto him when is he? And Ziba said unto the king Behold, he's in the house of Masher, the son of Amiel and Lodivar.

Speaker 1:

And the king, then King David, sent and fetched him out of the house. So King David, he's asking is there still anybody that I had a covenant with. And then he sends a guy to Lodivar. His name was Ziba. He says you go down there, wherever he is, you go down there and you bring him to me. So Ziba went to Lodivar and he brought back Mephibosheth to the palace. And I want to tell you, when Jesus went to heaven he said am NOT gonna leave you behind alone.

Speaker 2:

I am sending another one one of the same kind and he is gonna be your helper. He is your helper, he is your helper. He is your helper. Jesus, he is your helper. Jesus. They send the Holy Ghost, your helper, your helper. You do not need to come out of Lodibar by yourself. You do not need to come out of that wilderness by yourself. Oh, there's someone that is there to help you the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is your helper. The Holy Ghost is your helper. The Holy Ghost is your helper. The Holy Ghost is your helper. He's going to come and pick you up where you're at.

Speaker 1:

The faithful couldn't walk. Maybe you got some little limbs, some little stuff, but I'm telling you, you are not in this by yourself. You do not need to do it yourself. You have the Holy Ghost your helper. The Holy Ghost, your helper, the Holy Ghost, your helper, the Holy Ghost your helper will bring you out.

Speaker 2:

It's taking you out. As long as you know that you have a covenant, you know the power of that covenant and Mephibosheth was given everything, a seat at the royal table.

Speaker 1:

That's where he belonged all the way. That seat was his original seat and I want you to know that there is a seat for each of you, each of you at the royal table. Hey, there's a seat for you with your name on it At the royal table. Hey, there's a seat for you with your name on it. All you got to know and got to do is know your covenant, know that you got help on the inside. The helper lives on the inside. You just got to know your royalty. Take your place in Christ, know who you are in Christ, and royalty destroys every inferiority.

Speaker 1:

Royalty destroys every inferiority, inferiority, insecurity. That's all over there, lord of all. There is no need for you to feel inferior. You are not inferior, you are royalty. Let me move my skirt. You are royalty and royalty destroys every inferiority. You don't just have a covenant with the king, but you have a covenant with the king of kings and he has a seat for you, and that's why you can say I am born to win, I'm a winner, I'm loved, I'm accepted. I always win. I know who I am in Christ. Nothing can put me down, nothing can bring me down. I know who I am in Christ. Nothing can put me down, nothing can bring me down.

Speaker 1:

And when he sat at that table, imagine King David, absalom, solomon they were all there at the table. Can you imagine a table here? When he sat at that table, nobody could see that he was paralyzed. And that's what the grace of God does. Empowered with grace, it covers everything that was destroyed, broken, broken from being dropped, and it mends and heals. The grace of God, the grace of God, the grace of God. When you entered into that covenant, the Holy Ghost became your helper and you have the grace of God that covers everything that has been paralyzed.

Speaker 1:

And in the New Testament, mephibosheth shouldn't stay sitting on that chair. In the New Testament, there is power to heal and come out of that chair and start to walk. The power of God is here to heal you today. Of God is here to heal you today. Can we all please live consciously, knowingly, having a revelation, not just knowledge, but a revelation of what is in that covenant, because your life will change from moping and crying and complaining and loathevar to sitting on that royal seat and knowing who you are in Christ. God doesn't call you by your shame, but he calls you by your name and he has a seat for you with your name on it. God bless you.
