Speaker 1:

pray together. Father, we just thank you for this time that we have in your word, to glean strength and encouragement out of your word. Father, we just thank you that you are the same yesterday, today and forever. And, lord, that you give me supernatural utterance, lord, that I'm speaking as your oracles. Lord, the fresh and new things that you're doing here in the last days are being communicated via the Holy Spirit, and so I yield my mouth as your mouthpiece tonight, lord, to truly be your hands and your feet tonight in ministry. And, father, I just thank you that you're causing this broadcast to go out over the internet. Lord, that hurting people, sighing, dying, crying humanity all over the world be drawn in to watch and receive a word that they need. Lord, we believe in supernatural hearing and so, father, we just thank you that the Holy Spirit makes all the difference. In Jesus' name, amen, amen. So I just wanted to preach a message entitled Holy Ghost Power. Amen. So I just wanted to preach a message entitled Holy Ghost Power and specifically having to do with our words, amen.

Speaker 1:

And so pastor's been preaching several messages in a row on faith, and so, let's see, he had that saying last Sunday that confession is the roadway that carries faith's precious cargo right, and so that's part of what we're preaching tonight as well, is our confession, but also just walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. So I just wanted to start. We're going to talk. We're going to start in Peter, talking about Peter, and then we're going to talk about Paul, and I was going to talk about Mary too. We might get to Mary, I don't know, but if we do, we would have Peter, paul and Mary, and so then we could sing leaving on a jet plane Don't know when I'll be back again or Puff the Magic Dragon. No, anyways, all that was before my time, but, man, that was kind of a boring group, if you ask me. But anyways, we'll start in 1 Peter 1 in the Amplified Classic. It's the only Lee, it'll be the only time we use the Amplified Classic this evening, and Lee does such a great job for us producing all these live streams. And anyways, we're going to be starting 1 Peter 1, verse 6.

Speaker 1:

And it said you should be exceedingly glad on this account, though now, for a little while, you may be distressed by trials and suffer temptations so that the genuineness verse 7, of your faith may be tested, your faith which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. This proving of your faith is intended to redound to your praise and glory and honor. When christ is revealed, without having seen him, you love him. Though you do not even now see him, you believe in him, and with inexpressible and glorious, triumphant heavenly joy. That's right. We have inexpressible and glorious, triumphant joy. Amen. Even though we haven't seen him, we believe with joy.

Speaker 1:

Verse nine at the same time, you receive the result, or the outcome, or the consummation of your faith, the salvation of your souls. And this is what I wanted to get to that the prophets who prophesied of the grace or the divine blessing which was intended for you searched and inquired earnestly about this salvation intended for you. Searched and inquired earnestly about this salvation. They sought to find out to whom or when this was to come, which the spirit of Christ working within them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that should follow them. And so thank God for the glories that follow them. Amen, verse 12, because it's all about his glory, right? Verse 12,. It was then disclosed to them that the services they were rendering were not meant for themselves and their period of time. But for you it is the very, it is these very things which have now already been made known plainly to you by those who preach the good news or the gospel to you, by the same Holy Ghost, holy Spirit, sent from heaven into these things. The very angels look long to look, and then it goes on and it tells us to brace up our minds, be sober, set your hope wholly on the grace that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Speaker 1:

Verse 14, live as children of obedience to God and do not conform yourselves to the evil desires in your former ignorance, when you didn't know the requirements of the gospel. How many of you realize the gospel has some requirements, right, and we're living in those requirements, uh, faithfully and uh, to please the Lord. Amen. Verse 15. But as the one who called you as holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. So, again, I just wanted to oh, I'm sorry, for it is written you shall be holy, for I am holy.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, I just want to you know, again, we're preaching on the power of the Holy Ghost. So verse 11 talks about the glories that shall follow them. So thank God for God's glories. We are carriers of that glory, and so, and we can see how Jesus Christ, how the power of the gospel went ahead of Christ and the prophets prophesied all about Jesus being on the earth and about his death, burial and resurrection, and about the Messiah is coming, and how many of you know he's coming again. Amen, and so, and then it was disclosed to them, verse 12,.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to point out that we preach the gospel, the good news, and it was brought to them by the power of the Holy Ghost, the power of the Holy Ghost, and so our preaching, anybody who gets up in this pulpit, is preaching via the power of the Holy Ghost. And I just I wanted to encourage you, if you're, if you're watching tonight and you've never been to our church, you've never been to a service, I just encourage you, if there's any way for you, to come be with us in person. It makes such a difference. But because we I don't say that in a braggadocious way, but we operate in the power of the Holy Ghost unashamedly, and we have, for now this is our 30th year, like I said, and so you know, sometimes you get to where you're going because you trust God, and other times you get to where you're going because God trusts you, and so there's trust, I feel, back back and forth between us and the Lord. We're in covenant, and that covenant comes out in every service because we have the power of the Holy ghost.

Speaker 1:

And so I just wanted to you know, maybe you know, something happens when you preach the gospel with the power of the Holy Ghost. It's supernatural and it's a supernatural message. And so the gospel, the power of God. And so it says in Romans 1, 16, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes. That's me right, that's you, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek, thank God, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. As it is written the just shall live by faith, Amen. So that was Romans 1, 16 and 17, talking about the power of the gospel. I'm not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power unto salvation.

Speaker 1:

And and and dad just quoted that this last Sunday and uh, and how many of you know, that's not just talking about your salvation, of your soul getting into heaven, in other words, uh, that includes all the benefits that we have right now, amen. And so you may just think that this is a message just for a pastor or a preacher thinking about the power of the gospel, but I'm telling you, if you're a believer, then you have a ministry, because every believer has a ministry and every believer is called to preach the good news or the gospel. And how many of you realize that the gospel is the good news, right? And you're called to preach and you're called to share your testimony, for we overcame Jesus, overcame, and we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony, uh, not loving our life, or you know, to the end. And so, um, hallelujah, we have the power of the gospel in our words, amen.

Speaker 1:

And so for number one, I just wanted to start off in first Corinthians 15, verse one. You know now we're going to switch over to Paul for a little while, but we're going to go back to Peter and in just a second. And Paul is saying moreover, brethren, verse one. So, first Corinthians 15, one. Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preach to you, which also you received and in which you stand uh, by which also you are saved If you hold fast that word which was preached to you unless you believed in vain, for I delivered to you, first of all, that which also I received that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he and so it's a supernatural message we just said that right, so the resurrection of Jesus is the greatest display of power in the entire universe, and so we don't have a lack of power. We're not dealing with a lack of power, we're not dealing with a power shortage.

Speaker 1:

You know, during the last Hurricane Burl, most of us were without power for quite a while, so we had a power shortage problem. The power was out in the natural. But I'm telling you, the supernatural power we, you know, we had church in the lobby without natural power, but we had supernatural power, amen. And so, um, we don't have a power problem going into these last days. We have all the power that we need. It's supplied by the power of the Holy ghost.

Speaker 1:

And so the sinner notice in this scripture that it talked about the death, the burial and the resurrection of Jesus, which is the center of the gospel. But how many of you realize, if you kept zooming in that the you know into that, you would find the real center of the gospel, and you know what that is. That is, in Christ. That is that, uh, you know, kind of like. Were you there when, when they crucified my Lord? Were you there when they crucified? I'll stop singing anyways. Um, no, not me, I wasn't there, I didn't do it, didn't have anything to do with no, but we were there.

Speaker 1:

So when we are put in Christ, were there. So when we are put in Christ, we've been in Christ, in Christed, we've been engrafted into his family, and that means that everything that happened to Jesus happened to us, and so you can identify with Jesus's death, his burial, but, most importantly, we get to identify with the power of his resurrection. Or, in other words, we have his resurrection power living on the inside, and that changes everything. You may think, man, jay, this is a really basic message. I'm saved, I don't know, but I'm telling you that there's power in knowing that you have resurrection power living on the inside of you, and to not take it for granted but to make room for the Holy Ghost. And so the same power that's in the event of Jesus's death, burial and resurrection, that same power exists also in the message.

Speaker 1:

So, when you share your faith with somebody, when you share the gospel with somebody, you're sharing from a place of being in Christ, you're already sharing from a place of victory. You're not fighting for victory, you're fighting from a place of victory already, and so you've got. God always causes us to triumph, so we have victory in every area, from every side, but in literally every, every decision that we make, in every um, everything that we face, when you wake up in the morning, you have the triumphant power of the Lord living on the inside of you. And if you make room for the Holy ghost and so, um, john G Lake had a quote that I wrote down from pastor Mark's preaching. This last week we were in the Supernatural Relationship Conference with Pastors Mark and Trina there in Alexandria, and he had this quote from John G Lake we should always leave people with the consciousness of the triumph of Christ. In other words, we should always it shouldn't be a there's no, no such thing as a sad Holy ghost. And so, when we're preaching the gospel and when we're encouraging people, it's from a place of the triumph of Christ, amen.

Speaker 1:

And so, uh, talking about power, I just wanted to point out that, um, there's four Greek words in the New Testament that mean power, and so it's really important to. We were in a conference with Dr Guy and Ilka Pei and Dr Guy is going to be here. They're both going to be here this coming Sunday am and pm, and so you don't want to miss that. But recently we were in a service of his over in Needville and I was trying Carmel Church I forgot the name, it has Carmel in it, but anyways in Needville there and he was preaching about power and he talked about there being four Greek words in the New Testament, and so dunamis is one we hear a lot, right, and that means miraculous power. So where would we be without miraculous power? We wouldn't get very far right.

Speaker 1:

And then enegio, which means supernatural energy, and that's where we need to tap in and get our energy from is from the supernatural right. We need to tap in and get our energy from is from the supernatural right. And then there's iskos, which means strength. So again, where we need to tap in and get our strength should be from the power of God. And then there's kritos, which means dominion power. And then there's exosia, which means delegated influence, and that also means power. So in other words, the same influence that Jesus walked in. We have that same power, and so you think about that.

Speaker 1:

And so, when you're sharing the gospel with somebody, when you're sharing your faith, the same influence that Jesus had you're having. And so it's not about you, it's not about anything that you've done, it's all about, uh, what Jesus did, and so he, what he, what Jesus did went to to, uh, to our um, I'm sorry that I lost my train of thought, but basically, um, we have the same influence that Jesus had, right. So the miraculous and the supernatural can't happen without the power of God, and they can't happen without the power of God moving through someone. So, like, someone needs to yield to the power of the Holy Ghost in order for there to be miraculous and supernatural happening in a service, right, or happening, you know. So we are the hands and feet of Jesus. So it takes us being hungry for the power of God, because all power and authority that was given to Jesus, jesus gave it, turned around and gave it to us. So we are walking in his authority and everything that Jesus has has been given to us. And so, um, I think about that, because that kicks uh every religious devil right in the face, right, so, uh, because that's the closest thing that you can say to saying you are Jesus, right, if I said, if I stood up here and I said I am Jesus, then they, I would get kicked out of the church, right, but, but, uh, but really, I'm his hands and I'm his feet and all the same authority. It's not anything to do with me, I'm his ambassador and you're also his ambassador. And so you speak. When you open your mouth, you're speaking for God, you're speaking for Jesus, you're loving the same way Jesus loved in the. In the spirit of compassion. You should be moved with compassion, like Jesus was moved. And so, uh, sometimes the only Jesus people will see is the Jesus inside of you. And so you know, we've heard that all of our lives, right, it's kind of almost a cliche at this point, but, um, it's true, right.

Speaker 1:

And so, um, let's jump back real quick to Peter. And it says, uh, I'm going to read verse 12 one more time. And it says, uh, to them. It was revealed that, not to themselves but to us, they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the power, by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven things which angels desire to look into. So I'm telling you, the gospel being preached with the power of the Holy Spirit is so powerful that angels come. Think about that for a second. Angels, I'm telling you this room is filled. It might not be filled with you. You're out on our live stream audience and our live stream audience is being filled up. But I'm telling you, these chairs are filled up with angels that have come here to inquire, but they also come to assist. They come to assist the supernatural, they come to assist the anointing as well, and so we're so grateful to have angelic power as well, amen.

Speaker 1:

So in Acts 1044, we go back to the book of Acts, and it says in verse 44, it says 1044, while Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word and those of the of circumcision. In other words, the Jews who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out on the Gentiles Also. Thank the Lord that we were included. It's not just the Jews, but the Gentiles are included, and they received the power of the Holy ghost and they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God, amen. And then they were able to get baptized and so um, so, so Peter covered the main event of the gospel right the death, the burial and the resurrection, and then the Holy Ghost fell. And where did the Holy Ghost fall? He fell where the message was being preached Amen. So the power of the gospel was there. And then the power of the Holy Ghost fell, amen. And so that's why we're here tonight, because the Holy Ghost is falling, amen.

Speaker 1:

And changing and restoring, and he's changing the atmosphere in your home and he's touching hearts and he's penetrating even the stoniest of heart right now through the power of the Holy Ghost. And I say that with all humility because it has absolutely nothing to do with me. It has everything to do with the Holy Spirit and you allowing and you making room in your heart for him to penetrate even down deep into the things that you've been withholding from him. You've said, hey, you can be Lord of all these areas except for this one area over here, this childhood hurt or this. Maybe you went through a divorce and you just want to hold on to that hurt. And you're saying, jesus, you can be Lord over all these things except for this one little thing. And that little thing has become a big thing because it's what you magnify.

Speaker 1:

At night, when you lay in bed and you close your eyes, you think about that one thing that you haven't allowed him to be Lord over. And so you're magnifying that one thing instead of magnifying the Lord, and so that one thing has taken over all of your thinking and it's caused bitterness to be able to creep in, and I say no more tonight, amen, that there's people in the sound of my voice right now that allowing that, you're allowing the power of the Holy spirit to penetrate, and it's like warm honey, it's like, uh, the oil of joy and gladness is coming over you and you're being delivered right now from from old memories, from old hurts, from old pain that you've just held onto way too long. And I'm telling you, it's all about the power of the Holy ghost. And so, uh, you know, brother Hagan, years ago, kenneth E Hagan, he used to say um, holy Ghost, I want you to think through my mind and speak through my lips and magnify Jesus stronger than I could ever do on my own. He used to say that. And so we need the power of the Holy Ghost to speak through our minds and to think through our minds and speak through our lips in order for us to magnify Jesus greater, higher and more in abundance than we could ever do on our own. Amen. And so I have just a couple more scriptures for you.

Speaker 1:

Let's turn back to 1 Peter, but we're going to go to chapter four and verse 11. So first, peter four, 11, and it says if anyone speaks, let him speak or her speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as, with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Man, all the glory and all the dominion belong to him, forever and ever. But we do this, we're speaking the oracles of God. And so what is the word oracles? What does that really mean? And in the natural, like in a dictionary, not like necessarily in the Greek, it just means like the answer of a God, of an inquiry being made, or the deity that gives answers, or the place where answers are given. And so I'm telling you, every time you walk in this building or you turn on this live stream, someone's going to be behind this podium speaking the oracles of God. And again, I don't say that, I say that with all humility. It's not about the person standing behind the pulpit, it's about their obedience and their willingness to yield to the power of the Holy Ghost. And so if anyone speaks, let them speak as the oracles of God.

Speaker 1:

So there's answers to questions when you hear preaching. There's answers to questions that you weren't even necessarily smart enough on your own to even ask, and God begins to connect dots in every area of your life and you leave here encouraged. You leave here with supernatural knowledge and the ability, the wisdom that allows you to use that knowledge and connect the dots of that knowledge, that and grow up and mature in the Lord. And so that's why some assembly is required. Right, we need to gather, and so when we, when we gather right here in church, things are being answered. Questions that you've had your whole life are being answered, and um so, so again, that's happening here. But in your life, in your individual life, when you're talking, when you're sharing with somebody the gospel, we need to speak as as if it's god himself speaking through you, and you need to realize that and honor that and take that seriously enough that your words move mountains. Amen.

Speaker 1:

Man, I want to talk to the dads for a second. When you come out of your prayer closet and you share with your family desires and dreams that the Lord has given you, and you take that leadership role seriously and you're leading your family in a direction, and it's not any many, many more direction, it's the direction of the Holy Spirit. Where the Holy Spirit is leading you to go and your family is following you. That's powerful. You're speaking the oracles of God. You know that's a gift and it's an anointing as well. So walk in that gift, walk in that anointing desire. It make room for it, make room in your prayer time to hear from the Lord for your family and to be the godly head of your household to lead your family in the right direction, amen. And so your words bring light and darkness flees. Amen. Mountains dissolve when you open your mouth. So you're faithful to open your mouth, amen.

Speaker 1:

And so I'm telling you seriously the devil is so scared of what's happening in this church. He's, he is afraid of you. He's not just afraid of of pastor, he's not afraid of of just our staff, he's afraid of every single one of us, because we have been armed with the truth and we're using it to attack him. And I'm telling you, we walk in supernatural protection and and he's intimidated by the anointing that you and I walk in in this church, amen. And so I just have a couple more scriptures for you and just a couple more points. It won't be long.

Speaker 1:

Let's turn to Ephesians 6, 18 through 20. And it says praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, in other words, our prayer language being watchful to this end, with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, in other words, our prayer language being watchful to this end, with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and for me, in other words. Here Paul is asking for prayer. Hey, pray for me that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. And so how many of you realize, if Paul is asking for prayer, that you better be asking for prayer and you better be faithful to pray over the ones that are behind this pulpit?

Speaker 1:

Amen For utterance, but we pray for you as well, that you have utterance and so supernatural utterance, in order to that be given to you, that when you open your mouth, it's with boldness, right, supernatural boldness, that you may proclaim the mystery of the gospel Amen and so. The mystery of the gospel um is revealed by the power of the Holy spirit on the inside of you and you're able to share that mystery, amen. It's not a mystery to you, it's a mystery to others, and you know the secret and you're sharing it. Amen and so, um, and you're sharing it, amen and so, and you're doing it with boldness, speaking the way you ought to speak. You know it's not about being right. If you're armed with the truth, you already are right, but it's the way you speak. It's doing it in love and compassion for the hurting and for the broken.

Speaker 1:

You know this last Sunday morning my dad had an altar call for those with a broken heart and it touched me so much. I was, I was right here, behind my left shoulder and I had a view viewpoint, playing music up on the stage where I got to see hearts being mended and the power of God in operation. And it touched me so much because because I could see it with my you know, tangibly, with my eyes I could watch, uh, the comfort of the Holy ghost take over and just minister, as only the Holy spirit can do, right, and so, um, and so that comes out of making room for the Holy ghost. And so we do that every service. There's some way. But God has anointed me and God has anointed you, for the five Bs, to preach liberty to the captives. In other words, the bound, the bound, the bruised, the broke, the broken. And there's a B I'm forgetting. But there's another one, bruised Wait, did I the bruised, the broke, the broken. And there's a B, I'm forgetting. But there's another one, bruised Wait, did I say bruised? Okay, anyways, five Bs. And I'm telling you, we are anointed, amen, and you're anointed. It's not just about us, it's you have it, amen. And so I just wanted to leave you with these thoughts that Pastor Mark, he spoke these words.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't necessarily over us, but I received it for us. I think it was on the Wednesday morning message. Towards the end he just he yelled out you know, it's taken you 30 years to get to where you're going, to where you are, but it'll only take you 30 years to get to where you're going, to where you are, but it'll. It'll only take you 12 months to get to where you're going. So he said it's it's taken you 30 years to get to where you are. We're. We're in our 30th year, so it's taken us 30 years to get to where we are. Here we are. It was about our 30, 30 year anniversary coming up in January. Boom, it'll be here, and it's only going to take us 12 months to get to where we're going.

Speaker 1:

Think about that the acceleration of time and the acceleration of the anointing and the acceleration of what God's doing. In the last days, we are hanging on with both hands to everything that God has us doing, whether it's my God Votes or Houston Kids Against Hunger, or all of the different areas in our church and through this ministry, and we're faithful to the calling, and so are you, and so I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being faithful to what God's called you to do, and especially for those that are linked, arm and arm with us, volunteering and serving with us. It means so much to have your help and the power of the Holy Ghost working in you. Amen, and so that's what really it's all about, but it's really about yielding to the power of the Holy Ghost. I hope this message helped you tonight. I just want to brag on the Holy Ghost. Instead of bragging on me, I'm bragging on the Holy Ghost. So I say that by saying Holy Ghost, you did good tonight, you preached good tonight. Amen.
